False advertising. Prices clearly marked and order placed. Then canceled by LG outdoors
I placed an order on their online store for 2 boxes of 500 rounds of ammo. 4 days later the order was inexplicably canceled and refunded. After reaching out to the company to determine why. they stated the items where priced incorrectly and I would not be receiving the items I purchased in good faith. I am asking the Revdex.com to step in and request a LG-outoors to honor the price listed like any brick and mortar store would do.

Desired Outcome

Honor the price that was listed

LG Outdoors Response • Jul 25, 2019

Dear Mr.,

The ammo your ordered was listed wrong, and as soon as this was brought to our attention we immediately voided out your payment. Surly you know this had to be a listing error when you bought it. There is nowhere in the world you can buy 500 rounds of 223 Rem for $22.80.

Per our terms and conditions, which you agreed to when you placed your order with us, we canceled your order and voided out your payment.

While I do understand that the price was listed incorrectly. That does not absolve a company from baiting customers to their website only to cancel the order without notice or explanation. When I received a receipt for the item we entered a legally binding agreement. That agreement was not fulfilled on the part of LG outdoors. I am once again stating that to resolve this complete my order as originally agreed upon. If not then I will be forced to seek an attorney.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
As stated previously your LG outdoors.com terms and conditions also state.

"Content on the Sites: All information provided on the Sites is accurate at the time of publication."

"Order Cancellation fee: When you place an order with us it is a legal binding contract. You may not arbitrarily cancel your order with out approval from us and confirmation."

I only ask that they hold themselves to the same standards they hold their customers to and fulfill the "legally binding contract" we entered into when I place the order.

LG Outdoors Response • Aug 08, 2019

Dear Mr.,

Per section 3 of our terms and conditions, which you agreed to when you placed your order with us, we canceled your order and voided out your payment.

You can see a copy of our terms and conditions here.

The old bait and switch with these guys. They advertise a low price to get you to order. Then tell you it's out of stock when it's clearly listed in stock at a higher price now. If you can't honor your advertised prices, don't advertise them.

LG Outdoors Response • May 29, 2018

Thank you for your business. Our intent at LG Outdoors is not to falsely advertise our products. Unfortunately, we had to cancel the customer's order due to a technical issue. We regret for any inconvenience that this may have caused.

Sincerely,
LG Outdoors

I ordered a Texsport camp stove from Walmart.com on May 22,2018 for $15.77. The next morning the order was cancelled because the price was incorrect.
I ordered order# *** from Walmart.com on May 22nd,2018. The next morning they cancelled my order. I called LGOutdoors, the seller, who admitted that they were at fault because they listed the wrong price of $15.77. But LG refused to send my stove even though it is in stock. Walmart was no help either, and said it was not their problem. The seller should honor the price of $15.77 and send my stove since they advertised it as such.

Desired Outcome

I would like my order sent at the advertised price of $15.77.

This is in response to the Consumer's Complaint.

The consumer did place an order with us through Walmart. Due to technical difficulties, we were unable to fill their order at this time. It was necessary to cancel the order. When the customer was placing the order with us, they had to agree to our Terms and Conditions of the Sale. Our system will not allow them to proceed with a selected payment method or an order number being assigned until the Terms and Conditions have been agreed to.

In the Terms and Conditions which the customer agreed to, it states "We Reserve The Right To Cancel Any Order At Any Time For Any Reason".

The customer was notified immediately that the order had been cancelled and a refund was processed for the full amount of the transaction.

We do regret for any inconvenience that this may have caused.

Sincerely,
LG Outdoors

They did not cancel immediately, but, rather, the next day.
Also, their "technichal difficulties" involved posting the wrong price. When a company accepts an order, they should honor the posted price.

LG Outdoors Response • Jun 06, 2018

Dear Revdex.com,

The order was canceled the same day by LG Outdoors. The consumer received their refund the following day from Walmart as the customer states that they had received the next day.

We are glad to hear that the consumer received a credit in order to purchase the item.

Sincerely,

I placed an order thru Walmart.com from the third vendor LG Outdoors for $12.55. Finalized purchase was cancelled due to their price error.
On 5-22-18, I placed an Order thru Walmart.com from third vendor LG outdoors. The price for the order was $12.55. Confirmation number was received that the order had been finalized. On 5-23-18, I received an email that my order was being put on hold. I contacted the third vendor and she mentioned that they were looking into my order. Rudely, the person spoke to wouldn't explain what was going on and ended hanging up the call. A second email was sent by ***h stating that their was an error on the price and my order had been cancelled. He added that a full refund will be returned to my credit card. My credit card was charged which had finalized the purchase. I contacted Walmart.com and they also refused to further honor the purchase at that price.

Desired Outcome

I would like to receive the product at that price that they falsely advertised. Walmart would only resolve this by offering a 20% discount on their same product pricing at $33.52. The purchase order was confirmed and final for the price of $12.55.

The customer was not made aware of their terms and conditions during or after the time of the purchase. Vendor became aware of the price error after the purchase had been made. Terms and conditions from the vendor may be listed but hidden from the customer, making the customer become aware of the terms and conditions after the cancellation. Vendor should of honored the price tagged on the Walmart website and make the changes afterwards. Vendor should not be depending on their customers to notify them of their price errors and cancelling their finalized order. As advised by a Walmart associate, this is the same second complaint about this vendors actions.

Bait and switch tactics. Don't honor their advertised price for product offered and purchased
"Ordered item through Walmart Marketplace offered by LG Outdoors and received confirmation. They sent the wrong item and when I contacted them wanted me to pay twice the amount to get the as advertised item after I returned the wrong item for a refund. I instructed them I just wanted the item they advertised and I paid for but was told I would have to speak to a supervisor. Was promised that a supervisor would call me back on two different occasions but never did. Last, third time, call was told that *** was a supervisor and aware but only a refund would occur and I would have to pay double to get the advertised and paid for item."

Desired Outcome

I only want the item they advertised and I paid for.

LG Outdoors Response

Dear Revdex.com,

This is in response to this complaint. The way that our items are listed on Walmart are by sending a data feed with the UPS Code for the product and the sale price of the item. Walmart had the UPS Code listed incorrectly for this item.

We were not made aware of this until the customer notified us on this error. We then issued the customer a Return Label. The customer did return the item which we refunded him for the full amount within 24 hours of the item being returned.

This type of error does not happen often, however, in this case it did. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused.

Sincerely,
LG Outdoors

Customer Response

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Upon checking on June 20th LG Outdoors is offering, through the Walmart Marketplace, the same EXACT product again at the same price I paid. Their name had been removed from the product offering (having only one available at the time of order) but is now back. So they are now aware of the "problem" but having the item in-stock again offered the exact product exactly the same without any change in description, location, or price. I have the screen capture to show this is the case. So they apologize, blame it on someone else, then they do exactly the same thing again. Baiting someone to order this product at their assigned price. All I wanted was the product I ordered and paid for, that they sent confirmation of receiving and accepting the order and payment and not the item they switched it with.

Customer Response

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
You can observe from their response that since they were caught a second time they have "again" removed the offering and now suggest going to another vendor. They refuse stand behind their advertisement/offering. I have done as they suggested and I can say the new vendor (a direct competitor) stood behind their advertising and did not do a bait and switch. Prospective customers can see how they stand behind their advertising now imagine how careful they will be with your order and your information. I want nothing to do with this company and warn all others about LG Outdoors business practices which they can now read for themselves in the company's own responses.

LG Outdoors Response

Dear Revdex.com,

Upon receiving the original complaint, we had requested on Friday, June 16, 2017 that the item be corrected and updated immediately to be taken off of the website from being sold by us. This was done on Tuesday,June 20, 2017.

As the customer is still wanting to purchase this item, there are several other companies selling this same item on the same website.
