Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2014/06/23) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
How was I able to contact your site in the first place? Listed under the car was an online chat, I contacted you specifically about a vehicle with a listed price of XXXXXThis was the same car *** drove up to Wisconsin and picked me up inI could have easily purchased a Cruze here in Wisconsin, my whole purpose in choosing your dealership-was the price you advertised on *** *** said nothing about this not being the ACTUAL price or go to Libertyville Chevrolet's Website to get the actual price! ADVERTISING!!!!!
I already had an approval letter and blank check *** *** in hand when I came to the dealership, if I wanted a better rate, I could have easily searched myself as I had done in the first place*** *** was able to get my information because he claimed they were a Premier Dealership with *** *** and he could negotiate a lower interest rate with themHe said he needed my information to verify everything with *** *** firstI specifically said when they handed me the credit application-I don't want my credit ran-I was planning to buy a house and I didn't want any one else in my creditHe repeated the information was just for him to call *** *** and speak to them regarding my rate, nothing moreSo far I have received at least or letters from Credit places where my credit has been ranMy husband and I can no longer purchase a home which was why I didn't want anyone else in my credit once I got the approval letter from *** *** I told *** if my credit is rwould hurt our chances of getting a homeI never authorized or gave permission at any time for them to run my credit! The price quoted on *** was $21355, yet they charged me $for the vehicleThis is the exact same vehicle advertised and no additional features were addedI have attached the *** Advertisement and the Retail Installment Contract so you can see the VIN numbers are the sameThis is advertisingYou flat out lied to me from the minute I walked in the doorYour business practices give dealerships a bad name with your sneaky tactics, advertising and lies!

Libertyville Chevrolet did contact General Motors and asked for a buy back. General Motors did not agree to buy the car back because the car was repaired. We will do our best to take the car in on trade

Unfortunately we had two customers in our showroom at the same time named *** *** *** deal did not have any approval as it was 7:pm Saturday eveningAfter submitting *** application, some banks turned it down and two banks approved the deal with a higher rate
and additional money down. Her credit worthiness is what determines the decision by the bank. The other *** has nothing to do with delivering *** ***s a car. We did not run the wrong persons credit. *** *** did purchase a car. *** *** did receive a risk based pricing along with her credit score*** also signed a spot delivery rider. *** picked up her trade in on March 22nd 2016. We even washed her car for her. We do not like to take cars back but the approval from the bank was not acceptable to Janay. Janay signed a credit application which gives us the authorization to run her credit*** is asking us to remove the inquiries from the credit report and also states we ran the wrong persons information?

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
Sincerely,
*** ***This is how the company attempted to contact meas stated before, I have bought several cars through themNo I don't get my car serviced through them most of the time, why, because for instance the charge for checking out my vihicle can be done for free at any autozonethey over charge youThe fix that they placed on my car was less than and they charged my I would not have taken it to them then other than it literally started acting up in front of their building The recited story is majorly untrueThey make the AGREED upon time difference for the fix to be my neglect. Dear *** My name is *** *** and I am your new contact at Libertyville Chevrolet Although the Sales Consultant who assisted you with your is no longer a member of the Libertyville Chevrolet family, we wanted to make sure you knew that someone is always here to assist you!I just wanted to take this time to introduce myself and let you know you can call or email me anytime with any questions, concerns or any other assistance you need here at the dealership.I look forward to working with you now and in the future.Sincerely,*** ***Sales TeamLibertyville Chevrolet SMilwaukee Libertyville, IL 60048 *** *** http://www.libertyvillechevrolet.com/I recieved this December 1srtThey want me to buy another carWhat was originally wrong with the car, is still wrong! They have not fixed anything

This dealership lives up to the stereotype of most dealerships; SEEDY/SHADY
We placed a deposit on a vehicle; we understood this deposit placed a hold on the vehicle, not permitting the dealership to permit anyone else to view the car, let alone, test drive the car
When we returned to finalize the deal, we were informed the car could not be sold due to mechanical flaws; only to have the DMV confirm it was indeed sold days later to another party
The dealership and their salesmen told BOLD FACE LIEs!!!!! The dealership and the salesman told us the car needed to be repaired, it could not be driven; yet to make a profit, they sold it to another party!!!
COMPLETE SWINDLERS!!!!!
Beyond appalled, disgusted, frustrated, irritated, etc., and how unethical and underhanded this dealership is!!!!!
I question if the dealership paid the Revdex.com to receive their current rating, because they definitely don't deserve it
I hope no one considers purchasing a vehicle from this dealership; as no one deserves to be mistreated the way my family and I have been treated
I realize it's only a car, however, it's the principle of the matter
It's the deceitful approach in which this dealership chose to conduct business
SHAMEFUL!!!!

I spoke with *** and *** *** from Libertyville Chevrolet is going to meet with *** at the dealership to get *** in a different vehicle

DO NOT GO HERE TODAY TO BUY A CAR The experience I had at this dealership today was awful While negotiating a price and coming to what I thought was going to be a deal the sales manager Zack *** seemed to decide that he no longer would honor that deal The salesman we were working with Andrew *** was great until Zack got involved Even Andrew seemed confused by the situation They wanted me to show a credit card to prove I was serious about a deal but then they didn't honor the pricing they offered and wrote downLater I received an email from the dealership about the car I had almost purchased The sales team told me the car was listed for $26,and with Memorial Day pricing was at $24,000, well the email I got said the car was listed for $20, A pretty significant difference I went back to the dealership to try to buy the car for the price that was offered All I got was more attitude from Zack as he tried to make like I didn't understand what was going on In fact I understood just fine, they are dishonest and clearly running a bait and switch on a regular basisWe requested to speak with the General Sales Manager but he didn't have time for us Zack probably stepped outside to smoke at least cigarettes while giving us the run aroundDon't waste your time with this place If you need a Chevy dealer there is one approxmiles away, the Chevy Exchange in Lake Bluff

For the past weeks I have seen a truck online for sale by this dealer and when I called they told me "oh man we just sold that truck last night"They said sorry the website usually takes hours to up dateA week goes by and the truck is still advertisedI call again and they told me sorry that truck is not available but could they interest me in any other trucksI told them yes the same color model and priceThey told me that they could do thatI asked then why is the truck still advertised and the lady told me she didn't knowShe said sorry we will try to get it down within hrsAnother week goes by and the truck is still advertisedSeems to me this is just a bait falsely advertising something they don't have to sell

I should have checked this website before going to dealership Saw an online ad regarding a Chevy Suburban with the miles and trim package that I have been looking for months Sent a note via email to check on vehicle availability Was promptly called the next morning to let me know vehicle was still available (So far, things are great) I went and picked up the vehicle that I intended to trade in and traveled to the dealership I was then passed off to a different associate than the one who I spoke to on the phone who didn't know what vehicle I was there to see After sitting in a very uncomfortable stool for minutes (and thinking to myself,"It seems odd that I'm just sitting here, ok, give them a few more minutes.") the associate returned to tell me that the vehicle I was there to see had been sold over the weekend
I immediately left and thought that perhaps the leadership team would be interested in knowing what had happened On the phone, the man who identified himself as the sales manager did apologize, and noted that this was a "slight miscommunication" After reading these reviews, I realize that this is standard operating procedure for the dealership Shame on me for not doing my homework first Please if you see a vehicle online that you want to see, don't go to the dealership with the expectation that they have it It seems this is a marketing tactic to get you to come to them so they can then try to sell a vehicle that they do in fact have on the lot
