LoanMe Reviews (%countItem)

Unfortunately Cimoanies like this would have you believe that each negative review has a recorded conversations proving you have agreed to their outrageous terms. 90 to 140 percent interest rates. This is what they state in responses but then you hear the misleading statements they are trained to use. Example you ask multiple times " This is 9.4 percent Correct?" Response is "Yes sir, nine-four"
Repeated the same each time misleading the customer as to the interest rate being not 9.4 but 94% this Is evident in multiple calls. Be sure to Subpoena the full recording that are un edited or redacted in your upcoming suits.

Also if you decide to do business with them do full screen shots of the contract prior to signing and then after signing. We have found many mistakes on percentage rates between the offer then the actual final contracts and are welcoming any and all who have evidence to add to this pile of companies like this.

Look for number such as 13.4 % in the contracts you are signing that change to 134% after signing. We are finding this to be common in companies like this.

The evidence is there we just need to bond together against this kind of Dis Honest activity in this country.

I was totally *** by this company. Took out a loan for 3100 and after a year and a half paying 190 a month, I paid it off at 2900. Wow. They don't calculate the interest rate normally. They calculate it by taking the original loan amount and multiplying it by the interest rate and charge that by day rather than doing an annual interest rate that amortized based on the declining principal. Never again!! Basically I was renting my own money for a year and a half. It would have been impossible to know this from the contract. Stay farrrr away from these predators.

This company claims to use “fair lending practices” but they are charging 183.4% APR.
The $2525.00 loan I took out will cost me $ 18,341.62. I was going through a rough time
When I took out this loan, I was being evicted, I suffer from mental health issues, and I did
not know where else to turn, I struggle financially and will never be able to repay this at
this rate. I have already paid them $3,671.95. How is this legal?

Ridiculous rate of over 100% of what you borrow. Scammers and someone needs to look into this business and their contracts.

Loanme offered a loan during a time I was in need of funds at 36%. Just before signing, they said because of my credit the rates would be higher. Wow! I'm stuck with 84 mo. term $566 a month for a $7000 loan. This company has no conscience, I have already paid over $3000 and my balance is a few cents short of the original $7000. Shame on California for not making the interest cap of 36% retroactive. Although AB539 does say that "no higher than 36% percent can be received" and does not specify whether that means loans taken out before AB539 was passed. They also offer no help during COVID-19. Congress should cap all interest on all loans in the next COVID relief bill and stick these sharks in the shorts.

LoanMe,
Inc. is in receipt of the customer’s follow-up correspondence
associated with the above referenced complaint, and we welcome this opportunity
to respond to help clarify and resolve the matter. Please allow this to serve
as our formal response. The customer’s
follow-up correspondence relating to Complaint ID: ***, did not raise any
new points that were not already raised in the customer’s original complaint,
which we already acknowledged and responded to on April 30, 2019.

We thank you for this opportunity to respond.

This company works with shady companies in order to settle your account and apparently they feel they are above the law on these matters. Below is my complaint about the illegal and unlawful practices of a debt collection agency called Orion Capital Solutions, LLC. Although they are the company that violated the law (Fair Debt Collections Practices Act), Loan Me is still guilty by association. Do not take out a loan with them because they are predatory and hit you with a ridiculous interest rate. Below is my complaint left on Google, Facebook, Revdex.com, Federal Trade Commission and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

I received a call today on 4/22/2020 from a fictitious number leaving a very vague message from a representative at the extension 101. On the same day a friend sent a screenshot of the voicemail to text, that the same representative called and left. Today on April 22, 2020 was the first time I have heard from this company. I googled the number and found it belongs to Orion Capital Solutions, LLC. Below is a transcription of the voicemail that was left by the representative.

“Hi Good morning Ms. Bobineaux, this is Haley. I am reaching out to you Dominique in regards to the notification that my office has sent out to your mailing address. It’s in reference to the paperwork that we have here concerning yourself. We still as of today have yet to get any sort of response from you and prior to making any sort of recommendations, I’m really hoping for an opportunity to go over the full details of this with you directly. If this is something that you would like your input considered on before anything is decided, I’ll be here today until about 6 O’ clock Eastern time. My direct number here is (888) 441- 7563 extension is 101. Thank you”

When I returned the call, the representative was very aggressive and stated that this was regarding a debt that was referred to them in July of 2019. She was still very vague, and I questioned how she got the contact for my friend and why she would contact a third party regarding this supposed debt. I also asked why so much time had passed before I was contacted regarding this supposed debt, why I had not received any written notice about the supposed debt, and that usually after 30-60 days of no response from the debtor the debt is attached to the credit history she claimed that it was sent via email.

I also stated that this is not normal behavior for a collection company and formal written validation of debt is required on the debt collectors’ part per the Fair Debt Collections Act. The representative became irate and told me that was false and not how collections accounts were handled and that I committed a crime by violating my contract with the original debt. This company has broken many parts of the law and are using illegal tactics to intimidate me regarding a supposed debt they have yet to send a validation for. Below are some clear violations made by this company.

1. This company violated section 805 of the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act which is public law, by contacting a third party regarding my contact information and debt.

2. This company violated section 806 of the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act by using deceptive and misleading tactics in connection with the debt. They also attempted to disgrace me by saying I was committing a crime in relation to the debt, which is also a violation in this section of the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act.

3. This company violated the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act by not sending a written proof of debt showing information about the original debt, original contract, amount owed, proof of debt etc.

I will file a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and will reach out to the Federal Trade Commission as well. This company is in clear violation of the law and according to the various complaints on the Revdex.com site, this is a common way that they do business.

First was Garnished for about 7 months. Finally paid off. I almost lost my place because of how much they where taking out of my check which I had to have 2 full time jobs to pay for. Called and was told that this loan is now paid in full. Also updated my credit with paid in full. I also got credited $ 65.00 which was very helpful. Yesterday, I got another wage garnishment for the loan. And it was for $ 65.00. Company failed to contact the Sheriff's department that handle's the garnishments. This will be twice now they have showed up at work. This is starting to become harassment. I can not get advancements with this on my work file.

Yesterday I called the loan company to see what's going on. Was transferred 3 times, and couldn't give me a reason why. You didn't even send me a letter, call just a garnishment for $65.00. This needs to be a dress ASAP!!!

After looking at the Revdex.com website, it is obvious by the number of complaints that LoanMe is a scam. They present information initially that does not bely the fact that their interest rates skyrocket upon first payment to something in the neighborhood of 135%. This is immoral and criminal in my book. I started off with a $3,000 loan and have paid more than $3,000 When I checked to see how much I owe, it was +$3,000. I can see that many others were/are in a similar situation. This is unethical and shameful. They are preying on those who are struggling financially and are looking to payoff small amounts of debt to keep their credit from getting worse. This is heinous. I tried to payoff my entire debt today on a credit card. They tell me they don't take Discover. This is ridiculous. Discover is a legitimate credit card accepted all over the world. I believe they are trying to make it even more difficult for me to pay off on this bad loan so they can keep me attached to this grifter loan. I need your help.

Actually, I tried to reach the original broker of the loan and he has not responded. This has been consistent throughout the obtainment of the loan. I was never informed that the loan could go up by 135%. This is criminal. I will be seeing my lawyer.

LoanMe
is in receipt of the customer’s follow-up correspondence associated with the
above referenced complaint and we welcome this opportunity to response to help
clarify and resolve the matter. The
customer’s follow-up correspondence related to complaint ID: *** did not
raise any new points that were not already raised in the customer’s original
complaint, which was already acknowledged and responded to on March 6, 2020.
Nonetheless, we are happy to provide additional details to assist our customer
with his concern. The before mentioned facts, which are supported by
documentation and our recorded call records, confirm that our customer was
properly informed of the terms of his loan and that he willingly chose to
proceed with obtaining the loan. Additionally, our customer was provided with a
complete amortization schedule as a part of his loan document process. The
payment schedule indicated the amount of each loan payment that would be
allocated to principal and interest if payments were made only as scheduled. We thank you for this opportunity to respond.

No matter how dire your situation may be DO NOT borrow from this company. Customer service is terrible not to mention the cold calls and constant harassment to settle your debt. I was promised twice on recorded lines that once my debt was fully paid they would terminate/delete my account. Mind you ON A RECORDED LINE only to be told by a third rep that handles complaints that they misinformed me and that it was illegal to delete this item off your credit report on the phone she was also able to pull my Experian report and tell me exactly what it says... I did not give her consent to do so. How is it that these loan sharks are able to tell you lies on recorded calls just to get you off their backs? How unfair is it to give us false hope just so they can get paid. They will also give you fraudulent information on top of that and threaten to take away all your assets and run your credit report to see what you have into scaring you so they are able to get their money back. For 2 months I waited for my this loan to be deleted off my credit report as promised constantly calling them. Two months of getting the run-around. Only for someone to tell me "I'm sorry you were misinformed" But why would they both state here on your notes it says it was already sent for a deletion request?
I would like to add that I have printed my credit report at 3 different times and as off 1/28/2020 It stated the payment history was ok until November and December of 2019. I just looked 2/6/2020 and the payment history has changed again. Yet they say that it is illegal to delete this item off my credit report?

Please note that what Loan Me states is only half true. Please find the recent credit report pulled by experian on 2/5 and I also have proof from 1/3 with the same results. All of a sudden it is showing late payments. Also I was told 3 times that either the loan would be fully terminated and the last time I spoke to them AGAIN on a recorded line the gentleman stated on my notes it said a deletion would take place and it takes 30 to 90 days for the credit bureaus to receive the updated information.

I will be pulling the calls from my verizon phone bill and the duration of the call so that loan me can pull all the recorded calls. I will also be seeking legal advise. It is not right for them to lie to me and the Revdex.com to make themselves look innocent. I am sure they will be deleted the calls that stated they would "Terminate" my account and the last call on Feb 3rd where I was told it would be deleted. Please find the attached documents. Of both credit reports and the email I sent to the department I was told to contact after I got off the phone with a rep at loanme. Thank you.

Hello,

Thank you

I borrowed $2,525.00 from Loan me in April of 2019 since then I have paid them a total of $1,944.60 but only $1.97 of that has reduced my principle balance so they still say I owe $2,598.03 which is outright fraud. I have tried explaining my financial hardship with them and when I speak to representatives they are outright rude to me and one representative will tell me one payment amount is fine and then the next one will say that it wasn't allowed. After making my payments I still get repeated collection calls and emails when I have made my monthly payment in full due to their inaccuracy of client information on file. I want to be able to pay back what I borrowed, but with these ridiculous fees they are making it literally impossible when I have already paid back almost $2,000.

I borrowed 5,300.00 I paid back almost 9,000.00 they say I still owe 5,300 without interest. This is a bottom feeder company that prays on less than perfect credit. They shouldn't have or deserve a A rating. There needs to be a limit on the interest rate for these bottom feeders

Again I borrowed 5300 and loanme expects me to repay a total of 25000.00 your charging well over 100% if not more I paid 9,000.00 or more back tell me how this vary by customer I'm not giving you 25,000.00 it isnt happening I gave you 9,000.00 which is to much

Our agreement was once a month payments. How did this become something else??? Also once you drained the money from the account .., why did you keep debiting it several times a week? I understood you want your money but debiting the account every day or two will not make the money magically appear...

Called today and had a pre approved offer from 2600 to 10,000 dollars. Was approved for 2,000 but needed more. When I asked for a manager to fix the problem they said there is no manager there to help me answer some questions. The whole thing seemed fake and I am glad I didn’t give my account number. Don’t get a loan from these people they lie from the time you get on the phone. All I got out of it was a huge headache and a lot of “I’m sorry”. Well. I’m sorry too because you wasted my time and messed up my credit score some more when I was trying to repair it by calling these people.

I applied for and received a loan for Loan Me, I worked with the loan rep for two days going back and forth over rates and terms. One of my biggest issues was being able to make additional payments that would be applied to the principle balance only as this is a high interest loan. The rep assured me that would not be a problem, I asked him this twice and each time his answer was the say, "any additional payments you make can be applied to the principle", it was the deciding factor in moving forward with the loan.

I called two days ago to make an additional payment and was told by customer service a portion of my payment would be applied to interest as well, no they can not apply the entire extra payment to my principle balance. I explained to them what their rep told me and they didn't seem to care or offered any remedy.

Hello,

Please see the attached document for LoanMe's response to the corresponding complaint.

Thank you

I applied for a loan with LoanMe for $10,000. After submitting all the paperwork and bank documents they asked for, I changed my mind last minute before signing and clicking all the boxes to agree to their terms.

With that being said, I was applying for my mom. I am 30 years old. My mom is in her 60's. When they asked my DOB, I told them 1961, not once did they question wait, is this you or???? One because I don't sound like I'm in my 60s, red flag right there. Secondly, they asked me to upload a driver license photo. I am a male and my mom in the drivers license is obviously female, NOT ONCE DID THEY QUESTION THAT IM A GUY AND THE PERSON IN THE DRIVERS LICENSE AND THE PERSON WHOS INFO I APPLIED WITH WAS A FEMALE.

Isn't that a RED FLAG??? These people are so thirsty and hungry to get you to just sign the loan paperwork, they overlook stuff like that. I am not even kidding, the loan officer Eric Sais called me phone maybe 20x BACK TO BACK TO BACK....because I did not finish signing my paperwork as I was still reading through it. They call you and harass you like an angry ex girlfriend. If I didn't pick up the 2nd or 3rd time, what makes you think I'll pick up after the 10th or 15th call? LoanMe is a JOKE!!

Here's the cherry on top of it all, I asked for 10k, at the end of my load (72) months my total payments would be around $56,000. LMAO!!!!!!!!!! These guys are a joke, you're better off asking a drug dealer on the street for a loan, you'd probably get a better rate.

I received a reply in a "separate" email from Alfred stating the following:

Your file is officially cancelled
But, as long as you understand how our programs work that’s what matters. You will receive an Adverse Action Letter detailing why your file is cancelled. Keep us in mind for your short-term needs in the future. Remember, there are no pre-payment penalties on any of our loans. This means you are in control of how much you actually pay back in interest. Even if you do not need the funds this time around.
Thank you for applying.
(Again Notice the time)
I surely hope they do not try and put this crap on my credit report or we are going to have some serious issues.

The company is a rip off, I pay $361.00 per month on a $3,000.00 loan, a year and a half later I still owe more than $3,000.00. Only $4.00 per month go towards the principle and $355.00 is interest., they emailed me informing me after I had setup the 15th for payment, that they were changing the ACH withdrawal to the 1st. I informed them in writing not to withdraw on the 1st as it would cause a hardship, they withdraw anyway resulting in my account overdrawing and my rent check bouncing among other things. I literally hate that I got involved with LoanMe and am filing a lawsuit to recoup the money and filing for damages. As a result I have had to borrow more money putting myself into a deeper financial hole!
