I I applied for a loan they made me go to the website and put my bank credentials in they looked ar my account and said ok we agree over the phone for 3100.00 we discuss the terms which I have on audio they said it was a done deal then they asked for my visa number they said I can get it either that night but I would need my account to br linked through visa and they could wire it instantly. So I gave them my visa. They said everything was ok. So I get off the phone feeling ok the next day but account was drained and they left a message saying my loan got sent to a different dept that decided to deny it. That's bull the underwriters all ready approved it I signed all documents. I know the responsible for my account fraud and now im worried that have me signing this loan that they will take the money from that then im stuck paying it back. Once we have s signed contract .and they said they sent me the money isn't it illegal not to.

Based on our research of the complaint, our records confirm that the consumer submitted an application to LoanMe, Inc. (LoanMe) for an unsecured personal loan on December 3, 2018 and was conditionally approved, pending underwriting review. I WAS TOLD THAT THE UNDER WRITERS APPROVED IT AND THAT THE FUNDS WERE BEING TRANSFERRED RIGHT AT THAT MOMENT 0R IF THAT'S NOT THE CASE WHY DID THE ASK FOR MY VISA TO WRITE THE MONEY WHILE I WAS ON THE PHONE. IF WHAT THEY ARE SAYING IS TRUE THEY WOULD NOT HAVE ASKED FOR THAT THEY WOULD HAVE SAID WERE WAITING IN THE UNDERWRITERS APPROVAL BUT THEY TOLD ME IT WAS APPROVED ALREADY SHES THAT'S WHY THEY WANTED MY VISA TO WIRE THE MONEY WHILE U WAS STILL ON THE PHONE. THEY LIED. THE CHEAT .AND THEY STEAL.

WHY are you evading the fact you took my debit card number and said were transferring the funds now? Isnt that something you do typically at the end of the loan process after everything was approved or why else would you want my debit card? your not going to ask for it if you truly didnt need it right?? then why lie? its pretty obvious to me and it will be to everyone else. the truth will shine in the light.

The loan from Loan me is a predatory loan. I need a contact in Maryland that can walk me through what needs to be done to cancel it. THye have been paid in full and made plenty of interest.

Hello,

Please see the attached document for our response.

Thank you

The company stated they would run a soft credit pull instead they ran a hard pull which affected my credit drastically. I emailed them several times. The gentlemen who I spoke to originally said he was sorry and that he would speak to his supervisor and take care of the mistake. Nothing has been done!!

LoanMe, Inc., (“LoanMe”) is in receipt of the above-referenced complaint, and we welcome this opportunity to respond to help clarify and resolve the matter. Please allow this to serve as our formal response.

LoanMe’s records indicate that the consumer applied for a loan with LoanMe on November 21, 2018. The original credit application that the consumer completed when applying for his loan with LoanMe clearly contains the following Credit Agreement, which he accepted when applying for his loan.

Credit Agreement: You understand that by clicking on the I AGREE button immediately following this notice, you are providing 'written instructions', under the Fair Credit Reporting Act authorizing us, to obtain information from your personal credit profile or other information from Experian.

LoanMe only runs credit reports on applicants who give their express permission to do so during the process of applying for a loan. However, as a courtesy, on November 26, 2018, LoanMe submitted a request for the hard credit inquiry to be removed from the consumer’s credit report; this may take up to 30 days to be reflected on the consumer’s credit report. Please allow our response to serve as a written notification to our consumer.

We thank you for this opportunity to respond and hope that we have helped to clarify the matter. If our customer has additional questions or concerns, he may contact LoanMe directly at 844-764-7368

LianMe is very unprofessional. Their customer service have no clue about the loan I took and can’t explain why the interest are so high. The loan should be lowered. I paid a higher payment plus the automated payment. The loan stayed higher then it should be when I made the additional payment. I fell taken advantage of, robbed is the word!!

LoanMe Response • Jul 17, 2019

Thank you for taking the time to post your review. We apologize if our service did not meet your expectations. We always encourage our customers to pay off their loans as quickly as possible to pay the least amount of interest.

I had a loan with Loan me for the amount of $3,025.00 USD and I was paying on time, one month a was late on my payment and Loan Me sold my loan to a third party when the loan had 2 more payments left for 700.00 USD now aparently I owe the original amount. I find this absurd, I contacted Loan me to tell them that I would pay the resting amount but very negative and firm on their stand said no.

Hello,

Our response is attached to this email.

Thank you

I need extra money, and my credit scores weren't that great. I went online and found this loan company LoanMe. It was the biggest mistake that I have ever made. I took out the loan in July 2016. It was for $3100. My payments started at $366.05 a month. Then I could no longer afford that amount, so I started paying $272, As of today, November 2018, after two years, the principal on this loan is $2,554.21. I called to get a pay off amount today for Monday, and I was told that the pay off would be $2,897.17. I asked them how could this be. I did not understand anything the guy said. I told him that this has to be unethical and illegal and hung up. I do not understand how could have a loan that I got in July 2016 for $3100 would have a payoff of $2897.17 in November 2018 when I have been making payments of originally $366 and now $272. I know that I should never use companies like this, but this has to be illegal. The way they are doing this loan, it would take forever to pay off. Also, after two years only 600 has gone to the principal. Also, how could the principal balance be $2,554.21 and the pay off would be $2,897.17? This makes no sense, and I could not understand all the fees and interest charges that the person was alluding to. I also did not know that the loan does not have a term. I thought it two years it would be paid off.

I did not understand these terms an would never have signed up to something like this. I was just in a car accident and needed money to pay bills. My credit score is fair now that I can get a loan at a bank. I wanted to try to get money to pay this off but do not want to pay what this is showing. It is not right.

I’ve already paid over $7,000 on a loan that was for $310o. Those terms were not explained like this. This company is violating the South Carolina Consumer Protection Law within the state that I live in. They are not following my states practices. This is not right.

The customer’s follow-up correspondence relating to Complaint ID: ***, did not raise any new points that were not already raised in the customer’s original complaint, which we already acknowledged and responded to on November 16, 2018. It is evident that the terms of our customer’s loan were provided to her on more than one occasion, including, as stated in our previous response, our recorded call record of July 15, 2015 commencing at 12:46 P.M, wherein our agent reviewed all of the terms under the Truth in Lending Act Disclosure with our customer, and again pointed out the APR, finance charge amount, amount financed and total amount paid if the customer kept the loan for the entire 37 month term. Our agent also reviewed the payment schedule as noted on the Promissory Note, as well as advised of the interest rate.

We thank you for this opportunity to respond.

Hello I have been the Loan Me company for a year now and they haven't dropped my balance, my interest rate is 135% and the payments I'm making is $296 monthly. I've been talking to them to about fixing my balance and my interest rate but haven't resolved it. They said they can't do it because I already made a contract with them and they can't help me. I'm really upset.

I received a personal loan from an Online lender in December of 2016. Down loaded loan specifics and it stated that I had purchased Future Investment Payments and was obligated to repay my $2500 loan in 47 payments at the amount of $294.46. IRS charged me with failure to report the $2500 loan as income. The loan note from LoanMe Inc. states my annual percent rate of 139.113%. Finance charges of $11,519.32 for an amount financed of $2,525.00.
I also received via the IRS response a letter dated June 6, 2018 from FAW *** claiming the sale of FIP. My loan application was a minor emergency as I was leaving the country and contact with lender was primarily on the phone after my online application. FAW *** shows Transaction Details and the seller is ME? It indicates a Pension Company as Department of Veterans Affairs for payments to FIP $300 monthly payments for 60 months. I began payments Jan 2, 2016 and have made payments for over two years.

Hello,

Please see our drafted response in the attached document.

Thank you

Customer Response • Oct 26, 2018

Seems that I may be obligated twice. Attached are some of the documents that led me to this point. IRS charged me with failure to report a 1099-B issued by FAW *** in the amount of $2,249.00. I spoke with an agent at the IRS admitting my ignorance of the alleged income. IRS requested from FAW *** documentation to support the 1099-B. After my review , I rejected the IRS proposed increase in tax for the additional income. My best recollection of the loan application (which erroneously stated as December 2017 in the Loanme statement) was at most two phone calls with the same lady. This was the 21st of December 2016. I previously stated that I have paid either FAW *** or loanMe over $7,000. The loan statement is wrong in that extensive warnings were stated to me on the high interest rates and the cost associated with payments stretching for the 60 months in the FAW *** document or the 48 months stated in the loanme statement. I'm certain of have been victimized for applying for a loan on line. Had other loans before but never reported to the IRS as income. I'm also very concern about this FIPs purchase that I am alleged to have purchased. Future Investment Payments are discussed in a number of Consumer Protection Reports.

I'm requesting The Revdex.com review my attached file labeled "response to Revdex.com. Find attached the documents related to the IRS and their proposal to increase my Tax responsibility.

Sincerely

Carlos H ***

Hello,

Please see our attached response to this complaint.

Thank you

The reason for my writing is that this company is being unreasonable, I am a fire fighter who sustained severe injury following a fall in early 2016. Due to the injuries I sustained, I was unable to work for nearly a year and a half. I suffered emotional stress and developed Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and couldn’t function mentally. My condition was so bad that I could not manage my finances. Due to my emotional state, I had to get a debt management company to do this on my behalf. The debt management company resolved and settled all the accounts that were late.

As a result, I notified this company about the situation attaching a Doctors letter as proof of injury to support my claims, requesting removal of the late payment history since it was never my intention to be late. But to my surprise, this company has refused to cooperate and still keeps all the data that I had requested to be removed.

Again I request that the late payment history of this account be deleted as soon as possible.

LoanMe Response • Oct 19, 2018

Hello,

Please see the attached document for our company response.

Thank you

This company is a joke. First off, they prey on people with bad credit by charging a whopping 135% APR. Luckily, it was only a loan until I got paid, so I wasn't charged an exorbitant amount of interest. My complaint is with their customer service department. First off, half the people I talk to had no idea what they were doing. I was constantly asking for a supervisor. Second, I overpaid on my loan by $100. I called on Monday and spoke to a woman who told me it would be 2-3 business days until I was refunded. It is now Friday and I am not refunded. So I called again and spoke with someone who had no clue what she was talking about and kept asking me what date I paid the loan off. I had her transfer me to a supervisor. This supervisor told me that it would be 10-15 business days before I am refunded because they are sending me a paper check. He said if I wanted it sent sooner I would have to pay a wire transfer fee of $12. How ridiculous is that? What kind of business CHARGES someone who has paid them INTEREST for a REFUND?! So now I am out $100 for another 10-15 business days which means it could be 30 calendar days. This is not how they should treat a customer that just paid off a $3,100 loan IN FULL within the first month of getting it. They need to properly train their customer service people to give the right information. I was given FALSE information about when I would receive my refund. I have never heard of a company waiting 10-15 business days to refund via papercheck. It is 2018.

I have stmts from Aug and zSept 2018 showing a total balance due of $500. I was late. Now they are saying they sold it to a 3rd party collector in an amt of over $5000. This is total robbery, I am able now to make the $500 pymt. My original loan to them was only $3100, of which I have already paid over $5000 due to interest, etc. And I've been paying over a year. They are charging an additional $5000 because I was late and did not pay the $500 by Sept 15. This should be completely illegal.

LoanMe Response • Oct 11, 2018

Hello,

Please see the attached document for our response.

Thank you

Customer Response • Oct 13, 2018

I DO NOT ACCEPT THEIR RESPONSE AS A RESOLUTION, BECAUSE THEY ARE THE ORIGINAL DEBTOR/CREDITOR AND THE COMPANY THEY SOLD IT TO SAYS THAT LOAN ME CAN CHANGE THE AMOUNT OWED IN THEIR SYSTEM. YES, I FELL BEHIND, THE AMOUNT REMAINING ON MY PAYMENT PLAN WAS $500, AFTER ME PAYING THEM A TOTAL OF NEARLY $5000 BASED ON A $3100 LOAN. I CAN PAY THE $500 AND LOAN ME SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO CHARGE A MARK UP OF 1000 PERCENT AS A GOOD BUSINESS PRACTICE. THIS SHOULD BE COMPLETELY AGAINST THE LAW AND I AM TRYING TO RESOLVE THIS MATTER WHICH LOAN ME HAS THE COMPLETE AUTHORITY TO RESOLVE.

LoanMe Response • Oct 18, 2018

LoanMe, Inc. (“LoanMe”) is in receipt of
the customer’s follow-up correspondence associated with the above referenced
complaint, and we welcome this opportunity to respond to help clarify and
resolve the matter. Please allow this to serve as our formal response.

The customer’s follow-up correspondence
relating to Complaint ID: ***, did not raise any new points that were not
already raised in the customer’s original complaint, which we already
acknowledged and responded to on October 11, 2018. Nonetheless, we are happy to
provide additional details to assist our customer with her concern.

Our records indicate that on September 4,
2018 we reached out to our customer, while under no obligation to do so, in an
attempt to assist her with the outstanding balance on the loan. We discussed
reinstating our customer’s settlement but at that time, she informed our
representative that she was busy with a client and would need to call us back.
We did not hear back from our customer until October 3, 2018. By that time, the
loan had already been sold. As we previously mentioned, LoanMe no longer owns
the customer’s loan and is not collecting on this debt.

We thank you for this opportunity to respond.

Customer Response • Oct 19, 2018

I called back. And yes, I was working so I could pay off the $500 I owed as my remaining Balance. I told the representative that originally called me on sep 4 that I would be able to pay at the end of the month. How can a $500 remaining balance go up to $5000 in 30 days ? Loan me needs better business practices and should not be allowed to gouge customers this way. Its definitely robbery and should be considered bad business practices.

I have took a loan from LoanMe. According to my contract they withdraw my monthly payment every first of the month. They have commuted a breach to the contract by withdrawing the monthly payment on the 29th instead of the first. As a result I wasn't able to make a purchase and lost a $10,000 job.

LoanMe Response • Oct 05, 2018

Hello,

Please see the attached Revdex.com response.

Thank you

LoanMe was provided my contact, and personal information by a Utah firm named Lendio. LoanMe accessed by credit report on Equifax without my permission. This was a soft, and hard pull without my authorization.

I was contacted by individuals by the name of: Jermane *** and Naisha *** by both telephone and email. These individuals claim to be employees of LoanMe.

I did return a few employees think that this was a lender for Small Business. Instead, after reading hundreds of negative reviews, LoanMe is a Predatory Lender located in the State of California charging small business customers, and consumers loan rates of 300-500%.

When Naisha *** contacted me she did not disclose that I was being recorded. California is a two-party State and both the party recording, and myself must agree to being recorded. Naisha never closed this warning.

Instead she had all of my personal information and asked to run my credit. At that point I DID NOT GIVE MY AUTHORIZATION. I immediately contacted Lendio and told them to stop providing my personal information to anyone.

I also emailed both Jermane *** and Naisha *** and put them on notice of the same.

LoanMe Response • Oct 05, 2018

Hello,

Please see the attachment document for our response to the corresponding complaint.

Thank you

LoanMe, Inc. is a predatory company under the guise of providing fair small business loans. The interest rates that LoanMe charges are criminal at best! Imagine taking out a loan for 15K, but LoanMe only funds 13K but charges you as if they funded the full amount?
But that's not the kicker, remember that interest rate I mentioned about being criminal? After my phone call with LoanMe, they are stating after a one plus year of consistent payments without fail, I still according to their records has a whopping 106 payments left????? those 106 payments comes out to a whopping "$91,536.30"!!!!!!!! There was no disclosure of terms, interest rates, or how the amount being paid monthly don't come close to covering the principle!!!!!
Criminal as I said before, steer clear of LoanMe at all costs!

my fault for using this company but I was in a bind. $10K personal loan was quickly approved which I suspect is typical. They were up front about the high interest rate and the total cost of the loan. What they were absolutely not up front about nor did they even mention is that the interest payments are more front end loaded than a mortgage. After 26 months of payments at $826 per, my principal had reduced a whopping $74. With on-going accumulated interest, my final payoff was still over $10,100.

I've been charged high interest and they wouldnt work with me on the long run now they are going to garnish my wages and now I might have to live in the streets. Shame on loan me!!!!

Complete SCAM artists!! They charge 180% interest so even though I pay $543 a month, only .27 CENTS goes towards the principal amount. And they don't let you borrow less than $2600 so you're literally screwed. Then, they posted an unauthorized charge of $2600 to my account WITHOUT MY PERMISSION! Since I didn't have that money in my bank acct (obviously, thats why I'm borrowing) the bank returned the $2600 and LoanMe charged a return payment fee, they are CRIMINALS and it's even illegal to charge 180% interest. I'm getting a lawyer now and am taking them down!!!!

I have a payday loan with Transpacific Currency Services on Redhill, Tustin, CA. I asked about their loan products. They usually recommend LoanMe. I hesitated because I've had problems with their ethics practices. They're unscrupulous. The staff assured me they claimed they will work w/TCS customers. Their clients don't have stellar credit with FICOs above 610. Their incomes are typically less. Mine is better but my FICO is low. At their suggestion & great reluctance I applied on 7/19/18. You have to do it directly w/LM by phone. I spoke to Natalie at 5:30 PM @ (888) 891-***. She said she was unable to get my app to go thru, had no idea why, would talk to her supervisor (at my insistence for a reason as to why) & call me back before she left at 6 PM. She never did! No surprise. I told TCS of my experience. They were shocked because that isn't what they were told. They are being asked to promo LoanMe's product to their clients. All LoanMe is doing is clocking numbers, running inquiries on consumers credit w/Experian which depletes your already not good FICO down by 10 points for 2 solid yrs. & you still get declined! They're a numbers based business playing a game w/consumers time & lives. TCS was unable to comment because they were lied to by LoanMe's sales rep just to get the business. LoanMe is not capable of supplying loans to TCS customers, their FICOs & incomes are too low. LoanMe payments are incredibly high & are per pay period w/interest only for months before anything goes to principal. I called again on 7/20 & s/w Maurico, supervisor. He said my app didn't go thru because the system has me blocked because I filed a Revdex.com complaint in 2015 for their practices which were worse than recent events. Each time I applied (3 times) they never sent a Reg B letter. Claimed to but never did even though they had correct info. Instead of trying to change my mind about them, they black balled me & never told me that or why. I had to persist to find out about it!

LoanMe, Inc. (“LoanMe”) is in receipt of the above reference complaint and we welcome this opportunity to respond to help clarify and resolve the matter. Please allow this to serve as our formal response.

Based on our research of the complaint, as well as our records and telephone conversations (all of which are recorded), our records confirm that the consumer called LoanMe on July 18, 2018, to inquire about a loan. At that time, our agent informed the consumer that we were unable to proceed. An application was not processed for the consumer, her credit was not run, thus no credit inquiry was submitted to the credit reporting agency.

We spoke with the consumer on July 20, 2018 and explained that on March 30, 2015 the consumer requested for LoanMe to cancel her loan application at that time and to not contact her anymore. Pursuant to the consumer’s request, her application was canceled and a “Do Not Contact” alert was placed on her file with LoanMe.

Our records confirm that an Adverse Action letter was sent to the consumer on April 20, 2015 with respect to her March 30, 2015 loan application. We have not processed any additional applications on behalf of this consumer since the consumer’s March 30, 2015 cancellation, thus no further adverse action letter would be required.

In closing, we would like to thank you for this opportunity to respond, and hope that we have helped to clarify the matter for the consumer. If she has additional questions or concerns, she may contact LoanMe directly at 844-764-***.

Customer Response • Aug 14, 2018

I disagree. They're referring to an app where they called me on my cell & at work repeatedly harassing me to give them verification of my bank account. Their agents were abusive & rude, making it sound as though they were doing me a "favor". I told the 2 guys to stop calling because they called several times in 1 day. I was at work & needed to do my job not deal with LoanMe's pressure. Frankly they made me very suspicious because they were harassing me. They declined the loan because I refused to give them access to my account. The rep wasn't really able to explain what they do with the info. I work in banking security is a high priority. When you have reps that don't know how the co. functions & what they do that's scary so it's what they are referring to about not calling me. They harassed me but it's OK I suppose. What I noticed is they didn't address my complaint. They consistently avoid accountability and make excuses for their actions. LoanMe is the worst hard money lender in the business. They are vicious, greedy, brutal, have atrocious customer service & lie. Like I said they fail to address my complaint. They lied to the creditor about approving people that don't begin to qualify. I work for a lender that pays off LoanMe. They try to destroy small businesses. It's becoming a common problem. Business owners along with me believe hard money lenders should be shut down. Most of their actions are illegal. I tested LoanMe on purpose. The employee was horrified by my experience. LoanMe are crooks. I could care less about doing business with them. I wanted it on record they black balled me. Their rep never called me back as promised on tape. They left out key details. Their demise is just a matter of time. I have no sympathy & am super happy not to be a LoanMe customer! They suck & I will never change my opinion nor recommend them to anyone.

The mere fact that they still decline to be accountable, accept responsibility for their unprofessionalism and terrible customer service, along with failing miserably to disclose the truth about "why" they were unable to process my application, says everything about them and confirms my accusations against them. Time to go to the state and get these kinds of companies out of CA. The days of the hard money lenders are headed toward an end. All it takes is one law suit for the states to pay attention and they'll all be looking for new jobs. Too bad for them that they'll never be able to qualify to work for traditional lenders of any kind. Traditional lenders do not hire unethical, unscrupulous, unprofessional people because they're a liability and a legal nightmare. They also fail miserably at providing timely Regulation B letters as Federal Fair Credit Act Law requires. They've resolved nothing but continue to avoid responsibility. That will all catch up with them. Karma is real and I believe in it. They will get theirs....

I took out a loan a few months ago of $2,600, I sent in a payment of $2,598 to pay it off and they are still charging me $298 because of interest charges. I dont think thios is appropiate, I would like my money back.

Please see the attached document for our response.

Thank you

I filled out a application with LoanMe two days ago. The two agents I dealt with was very unprofessional. Raul De *** and Cynthia ***. Raul switched me to Cynthia, dealing with me. I called to speak to the supervisor Johnny. I was told he was at lunch. I called back in 30 minutes and the representative said, Johnny who. I was getting the run around. She kept on saying, I can send you to Cynthia. I said I would like to speak to Johnny. I was switch to her voicemail. I left a message an hour ago. I will wait for his call. Online it stated I have a loan with them. I called, Lee answered the phone and stated I was declined. I am trying to get to the bottom of this. I wonder why it saying I was approved and the representatives telling me I was declined.

Based on our research of the complaint, our records confirm that the consumer submitted an application to LoanMe, Inc. Upon review and consideration, it was determined that the consumer did not meet underwriting guidelines, thus the loan application was denied. We spoke with the consumer on July 26, 2018 and informed her of the denial and that an adverse action letter would be sent to her to explain the denial.

In closing, we would like to thank you for this opportunity to respond, and hope that we have helped to clarify the matter for the consumer. If she has additional questions or concerns, she may contact LoanMe directly at 844-764-***.
