I went in for a scheduled tire rotationThe sales person came to me with a piece of paper that indicated I should replace my batteryHowever, I knew differentlyI purchased a new battery for my vehicle a year ago from AAA with a year warranty I only drove the car 5,miles last yearSo, they wanted to sell me a battery that I didn't needA classic case of attempting to take advantage of senior citizensI won't return to Dunn Tire on Peach Street in Erie, Pafor my future tire needs nor will my wife or anyone else I can tell this story toBad news travels faster then good news

I purchased new [redacted] tires and had a AM appointment They claimed one tire was out of alignment and I approved a $alignment The work was done by noon Total price was $ The wait was too long Perhaps I should have gotten a second opinion on the alignment?

I took my car in to have my tire replaced, which I had informed them had a bubble and patches in itAssistant manager Mark M [redacted] calls me to tell me my car is done and all set to be picked upWhen I get there to pick it up, he informs me that the passenger rear tire was replaced, but there was not a bubble or patch in itHe says he could not find a bubble on any tire, and tells me “oh you’ll be seeing us again”I asked why he replaced a tire that did not need replacing, to which he responded “this was the tire I was told to replace, so I did”My boyfriend then quickly ran his fingers over the tires to find that the front right tire had the bubble, which Dunn tire then replacedTo top it off, I was charged $for the tire replacement, which came as a surprise because one of their employees said it was covered on the phone the day beforeI was treated like I was stupid and like I was lying about having a bubble in my tireMark handled the entire situation very poorly, fail

I made an appointment with this business for 9 a.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2018, for an inspection. I arrived a couple of minutes before 9 a.m., met a staff member at the counter, confirmed what I needed, handed him my keys, and took a seat in the waiting area. I was then called back to the service desk at about 10 minutes to 10 a.m. and was told by a staff member that a front brake on my car was hung up and would need to be cleaned up and greased. He (the staff member) asked me if I wanted them to complete the work today, I said yes, I need it inspected. The staff member said that they would perform to work necessary and I went back to the waiting area to wait for the work to be completed. I sat there for 2 (two) more hours, at which time at least 4 (four) walk-in customers came in and left with services performed on the vehicles. In the meantime, my vehicle was sitting outside, with the drivers' window down (again for 2 hours), and not one of the staff touched my car, or even loo

I started having a weird noise in the front tires of my car, so upon recommendation of Dunn Tire from a family member, I visited the Webster, NY location for serviceOver the course of several months, I spent several hundred dollars ($769.86) at Dunn Tire trying to resolve this problemThis resulted in new front tires, new front brakes/pads and rotors, tire rotations & several alignmentsThe noise still presented itself after my last visit to Dunn in DecemberAt that time, I elected to go to another service providerWhen I did so, that service provider informed me that on the driver's-side tire, the entire caliber was detached, missing the bolt that attached it to the car, and was hanging in the wheel-well, which is why I was hearing and feeling a rubbing noiseIn addition to that, the brake pads were down to the metal on both sides and the rotors on both sides had to be replaced againAlso, in the course of all of the visits to Dunn, through out several tire replacements, r

On September 15, 2016, I took my two vehicles to be inspectedBoth vehicles had stickers with September renewal on themI didn't want to wait until the end of the month, just in case there was any problemsI explained this to the gentleman who waited on me, he agreedWhen I went to pick up the vehicles, I noticed that one vehicle had no stickerOnce I got inside, and asked where the sticker was, I was told that the vehicle had indeed failedWhen I asked about the sticker I was told that the sticker had expired in AugustSo I went and called *** ***, ( the last place that inspected the vehicle,) I was told the inspection was done on September 10, At first I was told that *** probably punched the wrong monthSo when they heard me talking on the phone to ***, they change their story, and brought out somebodies else's stickerOn the back of the sticker it had a miles of 65,They claimed it was mineWhen I brought the vehicle in 2011, it had 72,mile

Took my car in for NYS inspection 8/17/they did a battery test and it came back as a bad cell. The problem here is I bought the battery at *** *** back in 3/brand new, so I'm thinking it is a possibility of a defective battery so I went back to *** and they tested it and everything was good. The guy said this is not the first time he ran into this from customers from Dunn.So I took the car back to Dunn told them what I did and showed them the test results from ***.Dunn had a mechanic redo there test and guess what??? Dunn's test came back good. The guy at *** said Dunn is ripping off people to make sales.Know if this battery was not new I would of probably replaced by Dunn and not even thought twice!!!Also took my other car into Dunn to buy 4new tires and to get inspected and it passed but they said it was going to need a lower control arm in order to do an alignment. Is this SCAM???? makes me wonderI've been a customer of Dunn's for over 20yrs and there business and work ethics are going down the tubes

I had an alignment and tire rotation done on my Buick LaCrosse at the beginning of MarchMy alignment was not right and there were loud clunking noises coming from my vehicleI took my vehicle in days later for a free estimate and was told that I needed a new tie rod and new struts
The problem is that an alignment cannot be done if atierod is badSo the did the alignment even though I had a bad tierod
I contacted Dunn Tire via email on May and received a phone call from a rep who I spoke to about the issueHe offered to have another alignment done for free but I did not trust them because they had already messed up my vehicle
So the Rep had decided to give me a refund which was supposed to be issued and mailes to me on the 12thHowever, I have not received any refund
Although I have had my struts and tie rod replaced, there are still issues with my alignmentI have had a second alignment done with a reputable mechanicThe new mechanic does not believe that

I bought a set of tires from Dunn Tires in Dewitt, NY...first time I went for rotation, they tried to tell me I needed over $front-end workMy car was less than two years old, so they must've thought I looked like a suckerI went to the Dunn Tire in Camillus for the next rotationTheir "technician/salesclown" told me I needed $worth of work done, and I said "no, thank you," and he tried to bargain, "how about $85?" What a jokeSince the attempt to sell crap I don't need is systemic, I returned to Dewitt for 3rd rotation, and had to listen to another clown try to sell me parts I didn't needSince then, I have taken my car to ***'s for tire rotations (and all work) because they don't lie to me (confirmed I needed no work done and Dunn Tire salesclowns were liars)...I pay for rotations rather than get them for free at Dunn TiresWill never, ever buy from Dunn again! If you relish being cheated, go to Dunn!

I made an appointment a month in advance to have a tire fixedI called before that date to make sure it would get fixed because my son was driving from Boston and was only here for the weekendWe dropped it off on Wednesday with a note explaining what was to be doneWe called to make sure And they said it would be done at the end of the day FridayIt wasn’tthen they said at the end of the day SaturdayWhen we went to pick it up they hadn’t even moved itNo work had been doneSo now my son has to drive back to Boston with a bad tire because he has to leave in the morning earlyThe three times that we had called, we were on hold for over a half an hour and then hung up onVery frustrating My family of five have been customers for over years thereNo more!

On 9/18/I went to DUNN TIRE at the McKinley location in Blasdell to have new tires installedI advised the counter person (Iwan) that I am very particular about my vehicle and that I do not want any damage to my rims during the install, Iwan wrote this information in large script and put a highlighting box around this
When the install was completed Iwan and me went out to inspect the wheels and noted damage to all of the wheelsI had Iwan write that that on my invoice and he advised that he would tell the store manager and the manager would call me the next morning.( I had taken pictures before I went to Dunn Tire)
The next morning, the manager, Peter T*** and I discussed the issue and the negligence and total disregard to my instructionsWe agreed to have me come to the shop to discuss the issue and have him take his own pictures
I went to the shop on 9/24/and had Peter take the picturesI advised him that I would need a rental car while the wheels get rep

I arrived about minutes early on 11/12/for a pm appointmentThis appointment was for a wheel alignment, new tires and NYS INSPECTIONAfter 1/hours I was told it'll be done soon, many customers came and left while I sat waiting the whole timeFinally after 3:my truck was doneI was reminded to stop back after miles to have the lugs nuts tightenedOn 11/17/I stopped back and looked the person behind the counter right in the eyes and requested I get matching black air valve caps because that's what the truck came into the shop with, lug nuts tightened and tire air pressure checkThis person would NOT look at me even for a second but said okI left there with loose black air valve caps, over inflated tires and now black air valve cap is missing?

I called to schedule an appointment with the Dunn Tire located on Peach Street in Erie Pennsylvania last Monday December 20th, I scheduled my appointment for Friday December 23rd, at 1pm for a simple routine tire rotationI was only using this particular location because it was on the way to the other places I needed to got to finish holiday shoppingMy husband, my month old son, and I arrived at the location at 12:40pm on Friday the December 23rd, I was greeted kindly and told I we would be in and out in no timeThere was currently one other customer waiting in their waiting room as we waitedAbout minutes later the elderly woman who had been waiting when we arrived asked the gentleman when her car would be finished and he said about another half an hourShe then replied, "Does it usually take hours for an oil change and tire rotation", and the man stated yes that sometimes it takes longer than expectedIn the meantime we had overheard another employee in the back room yelling at someone on the phone (another employee)Apparently the employee had left his shift and accidentally taken (something) with him that belonged on that poor woman's car, hence why she had been waiting hours! Not only did we get to hear the employee creaming and the other employee lie to this elderly woman, we were still waiting for our vehicle too! I then waited another long minutes hoping our car would be finished because my baby had been fussing for over a half hour at this pointAt one hour time lapse I finally asked the employee if our car was almost finished and he stated let me checkHe comes back out and tells me that it just got in there and would be another fifteen or twenty minutes! I asked him to pull my car out so that I could leave because this was ridiculous to have waited an hour for a simply tire rotation and it still wasn't even started! He apologized and said he would pull the car out for usHe walked into the shop where the only mechanics were just standing talking and the employee told the mechanics why he was pulling our car out and the mechanics apparently thought this was hysterical as they started laughing! I am so sad to see this place go the way it has, I bought my tires here and was very pleased with the service I had received so I continued to returnNow I will not only stop coming here, but will recommend to anyone I know that they should steer clear as wellI cannot believe an employee would lie to a customer, make them wait for hours with a newborn baby when we had an appointment, and to top it all off the employees laugh thinking the situation is funny! I truly hope this email makes it to an employee that actually cares about their customers because I am baffled by this lack of service and decency

I’ve been going to Dunn Tire for years, and never had a problem I choose them primarily for the free puncture repair
I went to the Dunn Tire Downtown location at Broadway in Buffalo, NY, on 11/04/I needed two (2) 14" tires installed and the rear tires rotated to the frontThe first price the manager quoted was $ I told him I needed something cheaperThe 2nd price he quoted was for "Eco Touring Tires." He never mentioned that they were LINGLONG Brand, Chinese-made tiresI authorized the work order and picked up my car several hours laterWhen I got homeI noticed that a $charge of "Premium Tire Program" had been added to my billI was furiousI understand that due to local competition from places like Mavis and Tread City, managers are required to upsell warranties, and additional services, but to not fully disclose this to the customer and add it to the bill is a duplicitous and poor business practice
I went back the next day, had a brief conversation

Made a on-line appointment on 11/for a winter tire changeReceived a confirmationArrived early and was told the appointment was cancelled due to high volume of customersNever called or emailed regarding the cancellationIronically I was told I could make another appointment but due to demand it would be over a week (and probably have the same cancel of appointment)I was told that basically making a on-line appointment is useless and in reality it is a first come first serve businessIn addition, after emailing business I received a voice mail from a "Josh" I tried to reach out, calling back and the phone simply rang - no pick-up, no voice mailVery poor customer service

Nearly months ago my wifes car was diagnosed with rear Camber arm issues to solve an uneven tire wear issue along with needing an alignmentOn 10/6/My wife bought the vehicle in for a routine tire rotation and she was told that the tires were worn (chopped) bad and that it would need new inner and outer tie-rods, Front AND rear brakes , rear Calipers AND rotorsAll totaling in excess of a thousand dollarsMy 1st issue is with the first repair being done and NOT correcting the uneven tire wear problemMy 2nd issue isI took the vehicle to a trusted mechanic after the 10/6/estimate for repairs and he informed me that the rear brakes had at least month left before they needed to be replaced and that the calipers and rotors were not badHe also informed me that all tie rods were "TIGHT" and did not need replacingMy mechanic did replace the front brake pads and service the calipers for a grand total of $ When I bought this to the attention of the Dunn Tire Ma

Two months ago, I purchased four new tires at Dunn Tire on Transit Rd in Williamsville and spent just over $ About two weeks ago, I started having issues with a tire losing air so I started checking the pressure daily and topping it off When I returned to the same Dunn Tire location with an almost flat tire, I was advised the tire appeared new and didn't have any nails or obvious issues, but to make an appointment and the soonest available was in five days In the next two days, I had a flat tire twice which caused some inconveniences to say the least, and I noticed there was a nail in the center of the tread I called Dunn Tire back and requested a sooner appointment and they added me to the end of the day on Sunday (two days later) At Sunday's appointment, I was advised the tire could not be repaired and a new one would arrive the following day and I would be charged approximately $ The associate I spoke to originally could not explain the breakdown of the charges, so

I purchased new *** tires and had a AM appointment They claimed one tire was out of alignment and I approved a $alignment The work was done by noon Total price was $ The wait was too long Perhaps I should have gotten a second opinion on the alignment?
