Response:

As **. [redacted] stated he attended the school for 14 days, and his contract allows him to withdraw without penalty within 3 days of the course start date. He started on 10/6/2008 and his last date of attendance was 10/20/2008. His total charge when he left school was $ 2950 which covers his registration, material, tools and tuition charges. His balance was sent to our internal receivables division where he was offer a payment plan of $ 200 per month at 6% interest instead of paying the balance in full. This plan was to start in Dec 2008. We spoke with the student in Jan 2009. We did not have success in collection of the debt. The student did make a payment on 9/18/09 and was suppose to call back to set up a payment plan at $ 100 per month. He canceled that arrangement in October 2009. His account was assigned to an outside collection agency and he made one payment of $ 100 in February 2010. He has not made a payment since then.

Since 2010, we have received and responded to several of **. [redacted]’s disputes and attempts to have it remove from his credit. The last communication was in March 19 2014 where we responded be resending validation of the debt. The balance has increase due the increase that has accrued over the years total $844.52 as of today. We are willing to work with **. [redacted] on a payment arrangement or settlement on the balance. This is a valid debt and LTI will continue to repot to the credit bureaus.

If **. [redacted] would like to resolve the account, he can reach me at ###-###-####, ext [redacted]

Review: I was out of school for almost 6 months when I got a letter stating I owed an additional $416.26 plus interest after being assured the last loan I took out in August 2012 with my mom through [redacted] of [redacted] was all I needed to finish school. I have gotten 3 letters total from them demanding payment and have talked to numerous people both at the PA location and at the school in Indianapolis. I have made about 5 phone calls and received at least that many.I have requested information that shows what the money is for but no one can seem to answer my question.Desired Settlement: I would like to see evidence that this money is actually owed without getting the runaround from them. Thank you

Review: I keep getting harassing calls on both my personal line and my cell from a **. [redacted] who is calling about "debt" that my niece owes. I am not a co-signer nor am I in any way affiliated with any of her debt, and as far as I know she has settled this directly with the school.

The first call I received from **. [redacted] was early on Saturday morning (12/21/2013) to my home line and he was asking for contact information for my niece. At the time, I had a sick toddler and was aggravated by it, but took down his contact info, and told him I would ask my niece call him. I don't have experience with debt collectors, but something seemed fishy to me that he was calling family members who were not at all affiliated with said debt. At the time though, I decided it was likely a one-off situation and decided not to report it.

He called yesterday and left a message at 6:23 pm EST on my cell phone.

"Hi this message is for [redacted], this is from **. [redacted] over here at LTI calling in reference to a [redacted] put you down as a contact here at the school; please return the call. My number is [redacted]. Thank you."

I called him back just now to express that I don't have any information for him and he needs to stop contacting me, but I am annoyed that it had to come to this, so I am filing this complaint to do everything I can to make sure this doesn't happen again, and if it does, then at least I already have a standing record of it.

Thanks for your timeDesired Settlement: I don't know why I am being consistently contacted, but I want it to stop. This is not my debt. I don't co-sign on loans for other people because I don't have the desire, the money or the time to be harassed about issues over which I have no control.

Review: On Feb.26, 2014, I had been trying to get the manager, **. [redacted] to respond to a dispute that was sent to Lincoln Technical Institute via fax. They closed out my dispute on March 3, 2014 to [redacted] and [redacted] without supplying me the information that was requested. I have called this so called school every day and still no response via phone, fax, or mail. I called **. [redacted] who states that he is the Senior Team Leader and he was of no help either. I have left several messages for **. [redacted]. Can someone please help me with this matter.Desired Settlement: I would love for **. [redacted] to furnish the documentation that was requested. If Lincoln Technical Institution can not furnish the documentation, please remove the negative information from my credit reports.

Review: Both my daughter, [redacted] and her best friend, [redacted] attended Lincoln Tech in 2013. They both have outstanding student loans that when taken they were told could be paid back according to the income they make, at as little as $25 a month. Since leaving [redacted] they have been receiveing harrassing phone calls saying they would go to jail if they didn't pay or their wadges would be garnised. They share an apartment and neither of them make very much money, barely enough to get by. They have been told they need to pay back the loans at $250 a month which is unafforadable. I called LTI and was told if I sent in singed letters from the two of them I could talk and their behalf and a payment plan would be worked out. I did this and have not gotten a call back. Everytime I call LTI I get a voice mail. These two want to pay back their loans but cannot to it at the demanded fees they are told they have to pay. It seems as if this business is very cruel to young adults fresh out of high school and quite honestly I belive my daughter is about to have a break down because of the calls she is receiving.Desired Settlement: I want LTI to call ME back! I want them to honor what these two were told and that was the payments could be adjusted to meet their income. I want LTI to STOP calling and harrassing [redacted] and [redacted] and work out a payment arrangement.

Business

Response:

In regards to these two student account, I can not respond to specific to prevent third party disclosure to the Revdex.com. But in general [redacted] is mistaken on several comments in her complaint. First the payment plan that she is referring to is an income based repayment which is an option for government loans. Lincoln does not collect on government loans. Lincoln will review options that maybe available for the students but we do not offer the same arrangements as the government.

In regards to her comments that our representatives and threaten and harrassed the students are invalid. As for her statement that the student would go to Jail is ridiculous. We are always willing to work with our student as long as the agreement can be mutally, which the terms that **. [redacted] has been offering are not and we can not allow our student to dictate the terms.

**. [redacted] can contact myself or [redacted] at ###-###-####, ext [redacted]

Review: I was a student of Lincoln Tech. in 2009 (Only for about 2 months). For Family reason I quit studies. I owed about $3700 as Tuition expenses. LTI gave my accounts to collections agency. Agency was keep calling me about this collection. Finally, they offer me to settle down this collections for $2750 in onetime payment an closed my account. I was new to USA that time, I did not ask for any written proof for this payment. I pay them over the phone. They did NOT send me any confirmation of closing this collection account. Now after 3-4 years, LTI send me my remaining balance $852.50 and interest $490.64 with the offer of 30% reduction and close account. I called them talk to the manager, manager said she will get back to me befoe 10pm which sh never did. necxt day I called them fourtimes to talk to the manager, manager was in meeeting/conferance call all the times. fianlly manager talk to me(rude) and said THEY DID NOT RECEIVED ANY SETTLEMENT REQUEST FROM COLLECTION AGENCY, SO LTI CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. and they said I have to pay since I have no written agreement of any settlement! I I want to talk to General manager, I would have to call next day, What time? LTI said, that they can't promise because they have some other things do as well!!!!!!!? I called collection agency and they said Account which was transfer to them was closed in 2011. Even LTI has in there sytem thay $2750 payment was made in 2011.

What kind of service is this? if I was able to pay $2750 in one transaction, Why I should have waited to pay remaining $852.50 for 3-4 years? where were LTI for this remaining balance for past three years? I should have paid all $3700 in one transaction to avoid interest. But god swears I paid them $2750 as Verbal (phone) settlement of closing my account with them.Desired Settlement: -> Talk to your past students with respect!!!!

-> All I want is to clear/colse this account from LTI.

-> I hope general manager of LTI will get back to me.

Response:

After researching this matter with the outside agency that handled the collections on this account, we have concluded that this was a settlement. We have submitted adjustments to [redacted]'s credit report to reflect that his account was settled in full as on july 2009. Lncoln Tech was not aware that the account was closed and settled until [redacted] brought it to our attenetion.

Review: I have all documentation of this available if necessary I can fax ASAP. I attended [redacted] in October of 2006 -September 2007 for Nursing School. I have documentation charges for that term would be $15,584. Upon starting the school I paid $50 registration fee and $200 deposit. This comes off that charge of $15,584 which leaves a balance of $15,334. My monthly payment WHILE in attendance was $176 per month which I paid in the orfice every month via cash which equates to $1936.00 paid during attendance. This would leave a balance of $13,398 owed to [redacted] for time of attendance, although the program was longer it clearly states IF you attend 50% of the 22 month time or less you would be pro rated to 50% of the charges. I have a documentation directly from [redacted] that states financial aid/grants paid to [redacted] was $11,075. This was a flat charge for the school which included all charges. The only fees would be assessed by [redacted] for interest upon completion of school, which I am not disputing. This left me an appx balance of $2323 owed. I never signed any documentation with "LTI or [redacted] for repayment, therefore I have no contract with LTI only [redacted] and I filled my obligations with them when I left the school. This was all handled with [redacted]. I have disputed this item numerous times on my credit report and it keeps getting verified by LTI, which doesnt require much other than a phone call stating the debt is valid. I am showing on my credit report a balance of over $14,000 in charges. This is completely not accurate and I would like this to be deleted from all 3 credit reporting agencies immediately. I would like to prevent further action being taken and I am asking that this company update this information immediately. As I said I have ALL original documentation supporting this available. SOL has also passed on this item in my state and this needs to be updated as well.

Thank you, [redacted]

Account number on report: [redacted]xxxxDesired Settlement: Adjustment to your records and deletion of this entire trade line from all 3 credit reporting bureaus immediately.

Response:

We have discussed this account with [redacted] several times. The debt has been explain and validated to her in the past. She has been in several differnt repayment plans with out office ( jan'08-mar'08, & Feb'09 to Sept'09). Her account was assigned to an outside attorney to try an resolve the account. She has made two payments to then in March and May of 2010.

In august of 2010, was her first dispute to the credit bureua, she disputed the status and payment history. We validated her payment histrory and bad debt status. While the account was with the attorney office, [redacted] tried to make payment arrangement with our office in July 2013. We advised her that she would have to negoiate any payment plan with our attorneys.

Her latest dispute with the credit bureua was on 2/20/13. She is now stating that this is not her debt. As you can see, we have provided documentation in validating the debt. The student has made several payments in agreement with the debt. In regards to her arguement that she does not have a contract with Lincoln Tech, she is correct. Her contract is with [redacted] which Lincoln tech purchase the school and all of the contracts. She is still liable to the original contract that she signed and is being honored by Lincoln Tech.

If she would like to resolve this issue, she needs to contact our attorneys at [redacted]

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: I have found all original paper work and again this balance is not owed !! [redacted] made over 11k in payments to this school when I did not attend but half of the 22 months which entitles me to the 50% off which my paperwork shows would be 14-15k ! Your company tried to use my ignorance of what the payment plan & agreement was to get more money but I have found all old documents when I was moving and I will fight this ! Between the payments I made and the [redacted] payments I have verified you received I should have NO balance !

Review: LTI has a duplicate credit profile on my credit report. I have a letter from them stating my account is current. They stated it is [redacted] who made the error.Desired Settlement: I would like a letter send to all three major credit agencies to update my credit profile and remove the duplicate.

Business

Response:

As we have explain to **. [redacted], we can not control the duplicate error that has occurred on her credit report with [redacted]. We submit one file to [redacted] and [redacted] each month with the same data. [redacted] is having a problem with duplicate accounts, and they have informed us that they are working on it. Her Revdex.com complaint should be with [redacted] becuase [redacted] has not done anything wrong. There is nothing on [redacted] side to correct the matter, we have to wait until [redacted] corrects it problem. There is no duplicate account on [redacted] and we use the same data and format with them.

[redacted] and [redacted] are the only two bureaus we report too. If she has any further questions, she can reach us at ###-###-####. We are reporting her account as current.

Regards,

Review: I have had nothing but bad service from every person I've spoken with at LTI. It started a year ago I was in the hospital for weeks with congestive heart failure. They would not work with me on payments and wouldn't accept anything less the 300.00 a month from someone unemployed and possibly facing disability. Finally we reached an agreement of 100.00 a month. At this point because of no payment because they wouldn't take less than 300.00 I had to pay 500.00 to stop my account from going to collections. Mr. T[redacted] is very rude and difficult to get ahold of to make payments. I actually didn't even finish my education because how disorganized and rude everyone is. Today my payment is due and when I call I get: "thank you for calling lti receivables division someone will be right with you" than it makes a noise like a fax machine. I kept trying and finally got endless ringing. I called a different number and have been getting the run around for the last two hours. This is constantly taking hours of my time every two weeks to do a simple task. I can never get a print out of amount owed, payoff amount or payments that have been applied. My whole experience with them is negative. I would never refer anyone to them.Desired Settlement: I would like to be able to make contact with someone educated on how to make my payments not give me the run around. I want a print out of my account including starting balance, payment history, payments applied, current owed balance, and I would like a new representative preferably not someone who is short worded and rude.

Response:

There are some facts left out by [redacted]. She left our school in Dec 2012, where she had a balance of $ $6,622 due in full. We offer the student a payment plan of $ 200 per month at 6% interest starting in May 2013. She was unable to pay $ 200 per month and wanted us to accept $ 25 per month. We advised her that we could not accept that small of a payment on her balance. It would have created a negative amortization on her payment plan. She was offer step up plan to start at $ 100 per month until she get in better financial situation. The student agree to $ 50 e/o week on 7/31, her grandmother was going to help her out. We received one $ 50 payment and no contact until Mr. T[redacted] reached her in Feb 2014. At this time that account was 10 months past due from the original payment plan that we had offered and was charged off as a bad debt.

She advised us that she could put $ 500 from her tax return and agreed to pay $ 50 e/o week starting March 14th. This plan was agreed to pay $ 50 e/o Friday. [redacted] has called in a couple of times to move the payment but has paid each month. I have sent a copy of [redacted] payment history since she started the school in Aug 2012. I am not sure what #, [redacted] has been calling because we have not had any issue with our phone lines. If [redacted] wants she may reach me at ###-###-####, ext [redacted]. If she would like to discuss a lump sum settlement, LTI would be interested in discussing her options.

If there is anything else that I can provide, please feel free to contact me.

I am rejecting this response because: I have never received a print out of balance start, payments made, and current balance too date. I have requested this multiple times with no response. I have also requested a monthly bill for the agreed payment so I can have a copy and document payment lti has never sent this.I have made contact today again to request a copy and got the usual. I called three different branches who tried also to make contact with lti that day using the same number I did and could not. The summerlin campus director finally made contact and also gave me the number to corporate to file a complaint as she has many others she starred having heard nothing good about the receivable department. I was in the hospital and when I stated my grandmother could not make the payments I unfortunately don't have a choice. Better people skills will get you guys alot further. I will not deal with Mr.t[redacted] and his demnor. I will mail payments or make them online until given a different representative. However online bill pay is not writing as usual with this terrible company.

I am rejecting this response because: This is clearly going nowhere. As of yesterday I finally recieved what I have been asking for, for over a year. It was not until I envolved The Revdex.com of my complaint that I started getting answers. I have now received ONE bill for the month of September and will see if I get one next month. This usually does not last with lti. The statement I received on when I exited is in correct I left in the beginning of December. They had me on exit for January 13. Once again another error. When individual campuses complain with me about your negligent attitudes and unprofessional mannerism that speaks for itself. I will never recommend this school as it is unprofessional, irresponsible, ill mannered and all together the company as awhole is concerning. I hope more branches are closed as mine was so that real schools can be put up in place and lti all together phases out.

Review: Received a notice of an unpaid student loan. Loan has been paid off since August 2013. Have been trying to get resolved for over a month. I have dealt with people who keep telling me they are investigating it. There's nothing to investigate. I have a letter from the student loan company that loan is paid in full. [redacted] & [redacted] @ LTI have been very evasive to my calls & letters. I finally got a new manager's name of [redacted]. I left her message requesting a return call. I also placed a call to the corporate office to [redacted]. I have told LTI if I do not receive a response from them by May 30, 2014, stating my loan is paid in full & no further action is required I will have an attorney contact them. I am also considering contacting the attorney general of Pennsylvania to file a complaint. Those students who are getting an education from this group should be very vigiliant on their record keeping or they may get the same letters.Desired Settlement: I want a letter from LTI Receivable stating my loan is paid in full and no further action is required.
