If I could give them 0 stars I would. This is a terrible company, they do not respect their customers, whatsoever, and have terrible customer service. They will try to sneak in additional charges that you do not approve of. When you try to fight it even though you have proof that they charged you incorrectly, their response is if you do not pay we will send you to collections. In addition, my lawn now looks terrible! I paid out all this money for my lawn to look worse. It has burn marks all over, and their machine left tire burns as well. They will also not refund your money for the burn marks. They just keep trying to push additional treatments on it, that do not help. Truly beware of this company, they do dirty business and will make your lawn worse.

I had this company last year for spray against mosquitoes. I was not happy and did not renew this year. to my surprise they came without authorization and charged me $ 143.99 . when I called she was very unprofessional and said they renew automatically ?? I said you cannot do that without my agreement . I had another company who already did first spray . she said they will send me to collection if I don't pay?? I told I'm going to report them.they just wants to rip-off people using twisted claims and great deal of intimidation

Lush Lawn Response • Jun 14, 2018

We aren't doing anything fr adulate services do auto renew if customers don't respond to the 2 letters they receive in October and January. We will waive this charge and cxl the service.

LUSH LAWN CALLED THE FIRST PART OF THE YEAR TO SEE IF I WAS INTERESTED I TOLD THE MAN TO SEND ME SOME INFO.ABOUT IT . WHEN THEY CALLED BACK I MUST OF MISS UNDER STUDE THEM BECAUSE THEY CAME OUT 5/11/18 SPRAYED THE YARD WHEN I WAS NOT HOME. SO ON THAT SAME ABOVE DATE I CALLED SPOKE WITH ASHLEY AND SHE SAID THAT ALL APPLICATIONS WILL BE STOPPED AND THERE IS NO CHARGE.
AND ON 5/29/18 I STILL RECIEVED A BILL FOR THIS SERVICE

Lush Lawn Response • Jun 15, 2018

Services were confirmed with our Salesman via recorded call and it was confirmed again with our Auditor via recorded call. We have our auditor verify sales to avoid confusion. There service was provided but we would be willing to split the application if that would resolve the issue. We would accept $21.25 as half payment of the application.

I forgot to mention not only was this company unprofessional and charge me for a service I didn’t request, even when I did request their service for misquito spray it was subpar. The services are poor quality. For this reason, we didn’t renew service yet we were still charged.

On May 24th, Lush Lawn (Safari Tree) supposedly sprayed Organic Mosquito control on my yard. Over the next few days I noticed that the color of my yard began to fade to yellow and the texture turned straw like. On Monday May 29th, I mowed the yard and raked up the clippings. Over the next few days, the yard continued to degrade and 40-50% of the yard turned yellow. I began calling the company requesting them to review what they applied and visit my house to determine how it could be corrected. On 6/6/18, a gentleman came to my house while I was gone and indicated to a family member that "I must have had a substance on my shoes or mower tires that caused the issue". This is not accurate and is a fabrication to deflect their responsibility. On 6/5/18 I replaced over 2100 square feet of sod for permanently damaged areas. I did not capture all areas, but rather targeted the worst spots (I have pictures to support the damaged areas that were replaced). Some damaged areas remain. Since 5/29 I have watered the yard multiple times daily with my in ground sprinkler system and saw no improvement.

Lush Lawn Response • Jun 08, 2018

The Organic Mosquito control is applied with a back pack sprayer and our tech walks the lawn. Our Field Manager was out to the property and did see damage stemming from tire tracks melting out the lawn. I don't Know how that damage could be from us when our tech walked the property and put down an organic application. With that being said looking at the pictures and speaking with our field manager there are some applications we could do that will help the lawn recover. We would be willing to put down an Organic Lawn application that will help the lawn bounce back. We would be willing to help out and do that application at no charge to help get the lawn back in tip top shape.

Why would allow this company the opportunity to potentially inflict more damage. They have stated without merit that I am the cause of the damage as indicated by the tire tracks from my mower. More than equally as likely that the substance that was sprayed in my yard 96 hours earlier caused the damage and was spread from the mower. The only thing I will accept at this point is reimbursement from the damages and the company to pay the water bill for excessive watering needs caused by their product.

On April 12, 2018 Lush Lawn provided a lawn application to my yard. I am suppose to be on a call ahead notice, as I don't like the lawn chemicals spread across my child's toys and I have a dog. I was not home to stop the service. At the time I was shopping around for another company to service my lawn and was negotiating with a couple of them. If I had received the call ahead ( as I require ) I would have stopped the service for that day ( as I had earlier in April). Lush Lawn is now billing me for services I did not want from the company. When I called and told them I did not receive a call ahead- they said I had. I know this is not true because I have records of all incoming and outgoing calls on my phone ( even if they are not answered). Additionally, when I did receive a call ahead from Lush Lawn, as I had their services for 7 years, I always received two calls- one to my home and one on my cell, as that is how its set up in their computer. I received no call to my cell or home number.

The statement on their behalf stating that I answered a call and hung up is not only false, it is ridiculous. For 6 years(?) I had Lush Lawn for services. The call ahead- when they made it about 70% of the time- would always leave a message on my digital answering machine (my landline) then the call out service immediately would call and leave the same notice on my cell phone. This didn't happen on April 11th, for service on the 12th.

And, just so you are aware ***,a manager at Lush Lawn, has offered to remove the late fee and cut the bill in half. I have rejected this offer because I cancelled services with Lush Lawn at the beginning of April and do not feel it fair that I pay the bill for services I did not want. I talked with a manager at the beginning of April and spoke of my displeasure with the company's services and that I was shopping around other companies. I requested for my services to be put on "hold" until I determined which company I would end up with.

01good afternoon, All calls coming and going out of this place of business are recorded. on 4-4-2018 ms. did call to cancel the service for that day, didn't mention anything about cancelling for the year. Her lawn service was done on 4-12 and per account and as to the week prior a dialer call was placed. On 4-16-2018 Ms. called in to inform us that someone had been to the property while she was out of town and did lawn care. Ms. claims she didn't receive the call, our dialer report shows different, at that time she admits to not calling in and cancelling but has since decided she was going to use someone else and *** cancelled the account. Ms. account was never set up for verbal approval therefore the robo dialer is what she requested. Our service was rendered and we are still willing to split the application cost to half price.

All they kept saying was all the services they offered. I only ever agreed to pay $83/month. Trying to charge me per service and then trying to squeeze multiple services into 1 visit... I'm astonished at the poor business practice. Never once did they say I would be getting billed multiple times per month every time I clarified I would only pay $83/month. Now they're charging me $166 for the 20 minutes they were on my property and saying it would be another $83 to fertilize per their soil sample results. This thing is a total scam.

Lush Lawn Response • May 22, 2018

I do apologize for the misunderstanding and in listening to the recordings you are correct, it should have been explained better how our Xteneder program works. Doing normal 7 step lawn care program we do come out 1 time every 4-6 weeks but with our Xtender program it is a 14 step program there is no way we would be able to get all the applications in if we come every 4-6 weeks. So with that said some of them are double applications. This was clearly not communicated properly and I do apologize, we were in no way trying to scam you. We would be willing to split your payments up $83 per month and wave any late charges that would be added due to the communication error.

Lush Lawn Response • Jul 05, 2018

We are not a mowing company, we offer many other services that mowing companies don't offer and we put down product so there is much more cost involved than labor. I don't feel our sales practices are shady, our consultant misspoke when saying you could pay the flat fee per month. that doesn't make sense if its a 14 step program and only 12 months in a year. However if it will resolve the issue we can split the cost and you pay one and we'll pay one. I do apologize for the misunderstanding and I'll be sure to address it with my team so that it does not happen again.

The actual purchase/service location is new to Lush Lawn and not listed in you search results: https://lushlawn.com/locations/plymouth/ *** Plymouth, MI 48170

COMPLAINT:
I searched for companies that do TOPDRESSING (spreading a thin layer of topsoil to fill in small depressions in the soil under the grass) and overseeding. I was put in touch with only one company, Lush Lawn. I was contacted on 4-19-18, by ***, a sales representative. I again verbally explained to *** what I wanted done. *** is a very fast talker and went on to tell me about slit seeding. I asked if this was done in conjunction with the topdressing. He glossed over it and started talking about nursing the yard back for the rest of the season with fertilizer applications. I told him that I already had a lawn service company that I had prepaid the year for and that I was very happy with them. *** then told me that the only way they could guarantee their work was if THEY did the service for the rest of the season and that, by Michigan law, if I cancel my service with the first company, they HAD to give me a refund. I again asked about the topdressing. *** quickly said "I have a guy", and that he would have to send him over to look at the yard before he could give me a price on the topdressing. I have been trying to get this work done for a couple of years, so I reluctantly said, OK.

On 4-21-18, a Lush Lawn service truck and worker (***) showed up. The guy came to the door to verify that the work to be done was the backyard, only. As far as topdressing, that was correct. I asked about the topdressing and *** said he knew nothing about it. I saw him riding a machine in the backyard, but cannot confirm that any seeding took place. He left an invoice indicating a prepayment for $207.00.

By 4-23-18, no "guy" ever showed up to provide an estimate on topdressing. I wrote an email to *** on this day to inquire about when his "guy" was going to show up. I waited a couple of days and after not receiving a reply, I called Lush Lawn and spoke with “***”. I asked to speak with ***, but she said that he was out of the office and transferred me to his voicemail. I left a message asking *** to call me. I waited another couple of days and never received a call.

On 4-27-18, after not getting any calls or emails from ***, I sent written notice (per their Terms and Conditions) to Lush Lawn “Contact Us” tab (there was no other link for complaints or specific people) that I was cancelling my service with them due to failure to provide the service that I requested.
Again, I waited. No attempt to contact me. No credit to my credit card account that I had used to prepay for the service. So, on 5-3-18 I called Lush Lawn and spoke to "***", identified myself and asked about refunds and how they are handled. She told me that a check would be mailed to me and that it should be to me "this week, or, early next week". I asked if *** was in. I was put on hold and then a guy that *** identified as Plymouth Sales Mgr. *** (sp). *** asked why I hadn’t contacted ***. I explained that I had and not received replies. *** then went on to tell me about all sorts of personal issues *** was having. I asked *** if his company did TOPDRESSING. He told me NO. I told him that I felt I was the victim of a “BAIT AND SWITCH”. He told me that I wasn’t, that he has “a guy” that can do what I want done. I told him, “No, just send my refund.”

On 5-11-18, no check and another call to ***. Now, she tells me that “Corporate” takes care of those things. I asked for their number and she told me, “Hold on, I’ll give them a call, myself.” After a very brief hold, she came back and told me that she contacted “Corporate” and that the refund for $220.00 would be “rushed” through.

On Friday, May 25, 2018, I received a check in the mail for $197.50. The refund that should have been sent to me was $207.00 ($9.50 more). I'm not going to quibble over the $9.50. But, that just goes to show the quality of business that this company is operating. It took multiple calls to the company, a complaint filed with the Revdex.com and with Home Advisor and a month and a half of time to get the money that I did.

Complaint closed, provided the check clears.

I filed a complaint a year and a half or so ago after Lush Lawn tore up my lawn with the aeration vehicle, literally ripped up lawn throughout, also spread grass seed into all of the beds and I had grass growing in the flower beds, etc. Took over a month to get a response to the initial complaints, they sent someone out to the house a month later and said everything looked fine. Of course it looked fine by then as I had fixed everything! And then they continued to want to bill me for the costs. Terrible service, I left message after message with no follow-ups to the service and billing issues. After months of going back and fourth, I told them to never contact me again. Every couple of weeks I am getting a call from them from the and the call just disconnects. What part of "DO NOT CALL" DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND? This was requested multiple times in the past but yet here we are and you continue to call and then you don't even have someone on the other end. Your calling my cell phone every couple of weeks from this number and then the call drops. Unacceptable. I'm actually considering taking this to the next level and getting an Attorney involved because of the poor business operations of this Company and their inability to stop harassing someone by calling. Pretty sure my calls were recorded previously when I specifically mentioned on more than one call to not call me or contact me any further and now you have an auto dialer still calling my cell phone number. What part of the privacy laws does this company not understand?

Lush Lawn Response • May 16, 2018

Mr. accounts have been cancelled for sometime, he isn't on a do not call list. I have since added do not telemarket to his account and we wish him the best of luck.

In the spring of 2017 I contracted with Lush Lawn to kill weeds in my yard. I had four treatments thru out the spring, summer and fall but they never killed the same weeds and I kept calling them to tell them where the weeds were and they came out a couple of extra times and still never killed the same weeds from spring. even though they never killed the weeds I continued to pay them until the last application and I told them when they killed the weeds I would pay the last bill. They never killed the weeds and kept calling me to pay. They then started adding late fees every month and threatened to turn my bill over to a collection agency, so I didn't want to mess up my 844 credit score so I payed them the last bill plus late fees. They cashed the check the first week of January 2018 and then turned the bill over to a collection agency the first week of February 2018 and the collection agency contacted me the first week of April 2018. I explained I had already paid.

Lush Lawn Response • May 07, 2018

We do not guarantee our weed control with less than 5 applications. If you get 5 or more applications it gives us enough time throughout the year to to make sure that the weeds are gone by the end of the season. On top of the weed control we are also fertilizing. Mr *** only got 4 applications from us so that did not come with the weed control guarantee, even with that we still came out and did a Service call for weeds, another service call to treat along a fence line and we had our service manager go to the property. So we came out 3 extra times at no cost for an account that did not get our weed guarantee. There are many different types of weeds and they germinate at different times of the year that is why we need to come out to the property more than just the 4 times. The account was handed over to collections because there was a balance due on the account and we were not receiving payment. Services were performed on the property with fertilizer and weed control and we still came out extra times at no charge to try and help with the issues. The account has been canceled and we wont be doing any farther treatments.

Lush Lawn Response • May 15, 2018

The last application was performed on 9-13-17, the account was sent to collections on 12-20-17 and the payment was made on 12-29-17.

That's correct and 2 1/2 months after you cashed the check you sent it to collections. No money was due.

This company continues to robocall our phone which is on the Do Not Call list at the FCC. I see numerous complaints of the same nature when googling their business. This is an illegal activity that concerns company other legal practices.

BACK ON 9-11-17 I CALLED AND AGREED TO HAVE AEREATION AND OVERSEEDING DONE. THEY NEVER DID THE AEREATION BUT CERTAINLY BILLED
FOR IT THEN THEY CLAIM THEY CANT EDIT BILL FOR SERVICES NEVER DONE .I ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT PAY THIS BILL UNTIL THEY ACTUALLY COME AND AEREATE THE LAWN. BUYER BEWARE, THERE TRYING TO PULL A FAST ONE FOR SERVICES NOT EVEN PERFORMED. I WOULD NOT LET THIS COMPANY DO ANYTHING FOR YOU.

We are extremely sorry for the confusing. I totally understand not wanting to pay until the service has been done. I will have one of my guys out no later than tomorrow. Please accept my sincere apology.

10-27-17

lush lawn came out Tuesday 10-24-17 and performed the areation. I wrote check that day and paid bill in full

I have lawn services completed by Lush Lawn but I'm under no contract as
I'm a call ahead customer. While I was out of the country, they performed a $249 aeration and other seeding on my property without my consent. Many people have said that because I'm a woman and a widow, they are taking advantage of me. I've called repeatedly to the branch manager in Rochester and the manager in Grand Blanc but neither will return my call. This is a matter of principle. I will not pay this because I did not authorize the service.

Lush Lawn Response

We have been doing service out here for quite a few years. There was a Call Ahead done for services but the call ahead status was OK To Leave A Message. It has never been set up for a Verbal Approval to do service. Our Call Ahead was performed the day before services were completed. We don't have contracts with our company. The Aeration and Overseed was sold 10-13-16 and a statement of services was sent out after the sale along with other Pre Pay letters sent over the winter months stating clearly what services are being performed the upcoming season. Again the account was never set up for Verbal Approval for services only to Call Ahead and a Message is ok. If there was a Verbal Approval on the account we would not have been able to perform it without permission. That is not how it was set up. This has nothing to do with being a woman or a widow. Due to the confusion and inconvenience of the situation we would be willing to split the cost of services and would settle for $125 if we could consider this matter resolved.

Few days before labor day weekend one of their trucks utilized our circle drive to turn around (We don't use their service so they had no right to do so) Because of the inexperience of the driver the trailer ran over the edge of our grass and ended up breaking a sprinkler head and damaging part of the line. I called and was told someone would contact me the following Tuesday. As I expected, no one contacted me. I reached out over the next two weeks without anyone answering the phone. Last week I was finally able to get a hold of someone who informed me they could have someone out Tuesday (Sep. 26th, 2017) at 11am. They would call and confirm that on Monday (Sep. 25th, 2017) There has been no attempt for them to reach me and the phone number I was given hasn't picked up. Overall they're just wasting my time and likely don't intend on ever fixing their own mistakes. Which have costed me time and money. They've wasted my time since now I need to fix someone they broke. Just gave them the opportunity to do the right thing, and they couldn't even do that. Ridiculous.

Lush Lawn Response

To whom it may concern, we have reached out to Mr. on 3 different occasion and left messages 2 out of 3 times. We have gps and truck tracking on all our trucks and the Saturday that he stated it happened I only had 2 trucks out and were no wear near his address. My production manager was willing to meet Mr. and assess the issue and he hasn't had a return call, all calls are recorded and tracked. my production manager did call to confirm the morning of and No answer. We are sorry for the situation and feel as if we were being more than fare seeings how I didn't have a vehicle anywhere near that address on that Saturday and hadn't had a truck on that street in the last 2 weeks. We are greatly sorry and willing to help if we can.

I know this reply has absolutely no bearing towards the outcome of the report. I don't care about that. I figured I'd respond since the reply from the company is laughable at best. Let's get things straight, you only left 1 voicemail. That was after you missed both appointments to come fix something you guys easily broke. Two, I had to call 4 or 5 times to get a response from you guys. I just find it hilarious that you can't just own up to a mistake at this point. I've already paid to fix everything, I've already fixed it at this point. You guys wasted too much of my time. It's clear that other customers feel the exact same way. Seeing as you've been getting a good bit of 1 star reviews and more Revdex.com complaints over the past year. Really shows the amount of character the company holds. I will continue to advise anyone looking to use Lush Lawn to avoid them until they can just own up to their own mistake. It's done, it's been fixed, just own up to a mistake and teach your drivers how to....uh drive.

Regards

To be brief, I used Lush Lawn for my fertilizing services in the summer of 2016. There service and applications were both ineffective and destructive. I refused to pay my bill with them until they came out to the house and reviewed my complaints with me. Instead of living up to their guarantee, they turned my invoice over to a collections agency that threatened to ruin my credit if I didn't pay the bill. Lush Lawn would not speak to me any further on the topic. I tried calling multiple times and left several messages.

I ended up paying the bill at the advise of my lawyer because it was under $200 and legal fees would far exceed just paying the bill. That was in the fall of 2016.

I just received a notice from a new collection agency that is attempting to collect the $193.60 that I paid last fall.

This is obviously bogus, irritating and I'm assuming, against the law.

Lush Lawn Response

Hello, It appears Mr. had services rendered back in 2016 in my notes shows he wasnt happy, our policy is to set up service calls to assess the situation. the service in which he is disputing is the overseed and that is almost impossible to ruin a lawn. Mr *** refused the service call. with services rendered Mr. still has a balance and is expected to pay. Thank You

Regards,

On first treatment of contracted service (for brand new lawn), they invoice me for liquid weed killer and granular fertilization. Granular fertilization was not completed and there was not a single grain of fertilizer present on my lawn, or over sprayed on either of my driveways.

When I contacted them about issue, they immediately agreed to come back and fertilize again. Any reputable lawn care provider would never agree to do this, without me signing a waiver, as over fertilization will burn up my lawn.

When I contacted them about this they were rude and unprofessional. I told them I would pay them half of invoice, since I could not prove that they did not apply liquid weed killer.

I have mailed them half the invoice amount, they cashed, and keep sending me invoices for balance.

I was so confident that services were not rendered, that I signed waiver with new lawn care provider and had lawn fully treated. The lawn did not get damaged, proving services were not rendered as invoiced.

I have no intention in paying balance and appreciate any support you have to offer.

Lush Lawn Response

Good morning, *** disputed services in which we confirmed were completed by our most veteran tech of 10 years. With that being said we did honor his demand and credited half on Sep 6, 2017. Therefore *** has no balance and hasn't received an invoice since 9-5-2017. I believe *** is referring to a cancellation letter that we send to all customers that cancel services from the Branch Manager allowing the opportunity to rate and share why they were dissatisfied.
