Lynch Chevrolet of Kenosha Reviews (45)

We received a request from this gentleman online asking for a loanWe reviewed the information and had some banks tell us that they would pre-approve himWe called him several times to let him know that we did have some pre-approvals. When he arrived at the dealership, we needed to have more
of the full information for the banksAfter receiving a full application, we submitted it to the banks that we work withWe traditionally send the credit applications that are full to a few different banksWe do not use 10-banks, but typically 4-banksWe do this to make sure that we can get the most aggressive ratesIt's a regular occurrence that we are able to tell our customers that we have secured them an even BETTER rate than the initial rate because we do this. In this particular case, we did get acceptance from two banks, however the counter offers from them were asking for more out of pocket than what the customer indicated they could possibly work withWe do regularly check in on how the process worksIf the customer can prove around $3500/mo income or if they can come up with $5,000-$6,down the banks are set

The customer did not notice the damage at time of delivery because it was not thereWe have as a good faith gesture taken care of the damage to the right rocker panel The customer wants us to fix a wheel and tire as well, we will not be assisting on that As far as the price being reduced,
it was because it was used as a demonstration vehicleAny further questions on this issue please speak to *** D, he is the general sales manager

Ms*** did purchase a 2010 Escalade from us with plus miles on it. We did do a large amount of repairs to it as a condition of sale, when she returned many months and now at plus (on the vehicle not since purchase) miles later with issues that would be a
associated with a vehicle of that mileage. During the finance procedure we offer extended warranties to our customers, if they opt to purchase, to help in events like these. We did offer a discount at the last visit equal to what a wholesale customer would pay. She elected not to have the work done here. We did make an effort to assist the customer , we are always willing to assist a customer to make them satisfied. We do stand behind what we sell, we had already demonstrated that in fulfilling the agreement of the condition of sale which included cupholder replacement, badging replacement, paint of customer concerned areas , rear seat arm rest repair as well as other cosmetic items. At the time of that repair there was no mention of any of her other concerns

I have added screen shots of the Website Listing for Stock#[redacted]. We were aware of the customers concern of it not starting.  The customer had run the vehicle out of fuel. After putting fuel into the car, it started and ran.  Based on that there is no action to be taken.  This information supplied the the [redacted]  Mark **

Mr [redacted] came to Lynch Chevrolet of Kenosha seeking a loan for an automobile that he wanted to purchase. word-spacing: 0px; background-color: #ffffff;"> Thank you for reaching out to let me know about the [redacted] case.  I totally agre with Ms. [redacted] that what happened was definately uncalled for and unacceptable.  Reprimands have been made and it is certain that something like that will never happen again.  In regards to Ms. [redacted]'s concern about doing something to her vehicle, I can assure you that did not happen.  We did a courtesy repair to help her out of a bad situation.. We did a recall repair on her ignition key's only. No work was ever done to her vehicle untill we repaired some wires inside the shifter housing that were broken.  She was never charged and she was on her way.  I feel bad she is having other issues, however, none of those are our fault.  I have personally spoken with Ms. [redacted] immediatly after the phone coversation she had with [redacted].  I did apologize  for the behavior of Mr. [redacted] and assured her that was not a normal occurance.  She accepted my apology and did state she would not return to us anyway.  I offered assistance where ever I could.  She acknowleged, and that ended our conversation.
In regards to having [redacted] personally apologize, I do not feel that would be a wise idea.  That is conflict waiting to happen and is not necessarry to either party involved.   There is nothing owed or nothing due to Ms. [redacted] at this time in regards to this matter.
If you have any questions in regards to this matter, you may contact me anytime by phone at ###-###-#### or by e-mail.  Thank you.  Have a great [redacted].

The customer did come to us from another state and purchase a vehicle.  The vehicle was functioning as designed at time of them taking delivery of the car.  The car was purchased as is, no warranty expressed or implied.  We unfortunately can not participate in the repair as the vehicle was operating when they left here.  We will not furnish a part nor will we pay for the repairs as the customer had requested.  Again the vehicle was sold as is and satisfied the Wisconsin safety standards.

To whom it may concern,
I am writing this e-mail as a complaint against Lynch Chevrolet of Kenosha WI. I purchased a new 2015 Chevy Traverse LT on May 22, 2015. I based my purchased on the Chevrolet website stating the vehicle has a towing capacity of 5,200lbs. The vehicle the dealer had in stock did not have the tow package installed. During the purchasing process I instructed the dealer to install a trailer hitch on the vehicle so I could tow carious equipment e.g. boat trailer. I took delivery on Friday May 22, 2015. On Sunday May 24, 2015 I read my owner’s manual and discovered that the vehicle has a towing capacity of 2,000. I contacted the dealer on May 26, 2015 to ask the question what my vehicles towing capacity is. My salesman, [redacted] informed me at that time that the vehicle tows 5,200lbs (see attached text message string). Being a bit skeptical, I contacted Chevrolet.com. I gave them my vin# and they instructed me that the vehicle has a towing capacity of 2,000lbs. Being concerned that my vehicle will not do what I purchased it to do. I contacted the dealer. They apologized for the mistake and I was informed that they could install additional equipment at a cost of up to $1,800. Lynch Chevrolet instructed me that the cost would be my responsibility. I disagreed and said since I wasn’t informed at the time of purchase the dealer should be responsible for making the car tow 5,200lbs. At this time the dealer was looking at options and was to contact me back. 1 week passed and I did not hear back from the dealer. I contacted Chevrolet.com and filed a complaint (complaint number 71-1483853410). I described my situation to Chevrolet.com. They stated to me that the dealer should have instructed me with the correct towing capacity during the purchase process. Chevrolet.com instructed me that the dealer had 24-28 hours to respond to my complaint. 2 weeks went by and Chevrolet.com did not receive a response from the dealership. Concerned that I was being ignored, I contacted the Revdex.com of Wisconsin. Revdex.com of Wisconsin reached the dealership and received a response that they instructed me at the time of purchase that the hitch would not accommodate my needs. They also stated that I insisted on having the hitch put on anyway. If they instructed me at the time of purchase that the vehicle would not meet towing capacity of 5200lbs, why would the salesman tell me 3 days later in a text that it can tow 5,200lbs? The dealer is lying. I have all text messages and correspondence since this situation started.

After instructing Chevrolet.com that I contacted the Wisconsin Revdex.com, they replied that Chevrolet.com will no longer be assisting me with trying to resolve this issue with the dealer. They state that only the Revdex.com can work with the dealer from here on out. The Revdex.com is waiting for a response from Lynch, but, I was informed by the Revdex.com that they can’t force the dealer to respond to them. I asked the Revdex.com what other options I have to resolve this issue and they gave me your contact information.  Is there any course of action you can recommend?

Thanks,

The employees at Lynch Chevrolet/Kenosha are very unprofessional and I would go even further by saying that they are shoddy! I would never go there again and I don't recommend anyone to do business with them either. First off , I called to see a used Colorado and a used Nissan Frontier they had on their website. Deya confirmed the appointment to go see both vehicles. She went as far as to send me pictures via text of the Colorado since there were none online. It turned out the Colorado was not even available. It supposedly didn't pass inspection and it was going back to auction. Well I test drove the Nissan. I liked it. I told Justin, another sales rep, where I needed the payments to be a month and for how many months. That night and the next day we texted back and forth. Justin at one point said they were $5 from where I wanted to be; stop by and we'll check your credit to see if we could get a better interest rate. I stopped by they ran my credit. After about an hour of waiting I started to talk to Justin regarding the payment he said they had a few responses back and was waiting a few more. At that time the payment was at almost $30 over where I wanted to be. Frustrating! He disappeared again (I later found out he was helping another customer at the same time). By then I just got up and left. While in the car Justin all of a sudden came and said "good news we got your payment to where you wanted it" the catch was but for another 12 months out. I am so frustrated. They knew they couldn't give me the deal I wanted, but they still chose to get me over there have me wait for over an hour and pull my credit. If they were not serious about giving me the deal I needed to be at, then they shouldn't have run my credit - those inquiries affect my score.
UPDATE:
This is an update from my previous post and a response to the owners response. I think this dealership is shady, dishonest and sneaky , not sure how else to describe them. Its been almost 3 weeks since my incident with the dealership and posting my original review. Since then I’ve received 3 letters from financial institutions stating that they have declined my request for financing for a purchase at Lynch Chevrolet in Kenosha. Its funny how, like I stated in my previous post, the sales guy (Justin) came out to my car after he saw that I was tired of waiting and mentioned that I’ve been approved to come back inside. That was all a lie. I’m not sure what kind of deal they were sending to their banks. If I got these letters stating that I was declined, why didn’t I get one stating that I was accepted?
A couple of days after my experience with the dealer I applied at a local credit union for a car loan for the same amount I was trying to get with them. I was approved the same day within a few hours. A few days after that, I went to another reputable dealership and purchased a truck that was the same price as the one from Lynch. Although I already had my own financing, I financed through the dealership since they matched the rate from the credit union. My credit score is over 740. I really don’t understand how I can be denied by this dealership and then be approved a few days later by two other different entities. I really think they did this on purpose, one for leaving the dealership without a deal and two, because of the negative review I submitted. Beware of this dealership and their antics.

in talking to the general manager, the trade in value is an assessed value..we offered this guest the number that the vehicles value is.    the VIP package is never forced upon a guest, that charge as well as it's benefits can be removed..   the add price of 17900 (...

rounded off)  states that is with ALL rebates, and only if you qualify for all rebates.

I am sending this email in advance of my phone call to give you so that I could better explain the situation concerning the email I sent you.

I am sending this email through my AT&T account vice my Gmail account. Any response can be sent to either account.

I have discussed my issues with Chevrolet Customer Service, and basically, they say my issues are with the dealer. I have attached a copy of the voice mail they left me explaining their decision. I agree with them up to a point, but these issues involve just about everyone at and beyond the dealership level.

I also have an active on going complaint against the dealership with the Wisconsin Revdex.com.

I do not have any issues with GM Financial at this point. You guys have been fair with me in the past, and hopefully, in the future.

My reasoning for this complaint, is to notify you of the unethical business tactics used by the dealership in order for them to achieve their goals.

My first lease payment on this vehicle was due on July 24, 2015. I made this payment on the due date thru MY ACCOUNT, on the GM Financial web site. While I was making this payment, this car was in the dealerships shop having the rear brakes repaired, the rocker panel on the right side repaired, and a unexplainable issue with the oil life expectancy @27 percent when the car was delivered, even though the dealership claims the car was serviced just before delivery. Pointed out to the service advisor were paint was missing from right front bumper where it looks like it got to close to something. When talking to the service advisor, I noticed a half dollar size cut in the sidewall of the right front tire along with associated damage to the right front rim. I pointed this out to the service advisor, who’s response was that he would notify upper management to see if the dealership would repair/replace the tire/rim at dealership cost.  I took the car into the dealership, at their request, on 7/15/2015 @4:30 P.M. Keep in mind that rocker arm issue was pointed out to the dealership, on 6/25/2015 @ 4:00 P.M., less than 24 hours after I took delivery of the car which was @ 5:00 P.M. on 6/24/2015. The other issues were found and reported to the dealership between 6/25/2015 and now. Didn’t get the car back until 7/29/2015.

Did I notice any of these damages before I signed the lease? NO!!! These damages are at or below knee level. I found the rocker panel damage while standing approximately 20 feet away and looking downward. At first, I thought it may have been some type of design incorporated into the car until I compared it to the left rocker panel. The only other way to see this at a normal distance, arm’s length, is to be looking at the same level as the damage. Most of the attached pictures taken above were taken on my knees. And no, at no time while I looked at the car, was I on my knees. The remaining damages were found were after the rocker panel issue was found. The other damages I have identified, were  found with me on my knees looking for them. I am no accident investigator, so I am not sure that I found all there is to find. But as I found and reported all the damages, the dealership became more reluctant to fix/repair any of them. In fact, they are now not claiming any responsibility for any of the damages at all. They are suggesting now, that the vehicle was damaged after I took possession. If this were the case, I would have filed a claim with GEICO, and the issue would have been resolved. I have been with GEICO for at least 25 years or more. Filed a claim with them back @2007 for hail damage to, of all things a 2007 Malibu. The way I got this figured, GEICO probably owes me for all the premiums I have paid over the years, but I am not going to task them to repair damages that happen before I took possession of the vehicle.

The statement below, highlighted in yellow, is from the dealerships Facebook post regarding my negative feedbacks I left.

o       Lynch Chevrolet of Kenosha: [redacted], some of what you have with the vehicle is how you got a lower price. When someone purchases or leases a demonstrator vehicle there is naturally a bit of wear on the vehicle. It was driven for several thousand miles and will have some imperfections. In regard to when certain damages happen, this is the reason why we have salespeople show you the vehicle and let you drive it before you sign any paperwork. If those were issues that you noticed on your test drive that you feel should have been fixed, it's very helpful to the vendor to know which particulars you are concerned with, as much of the wear and tear you mention (rocker panel, brake cleaning, etc.) is typical for those vehicles. The devaluation of a vehicle from those things is what allows us to offer the lower pricing.
The statement makes perfectly good sense. However, if one were to assume what the dealership is claiming now, that the vehicle had no damage, how do you devaluate the price of the vehicle for damages that haven’t occurred yet? If you were to go to the dealerships Facebook page to see the comments made by the dealership or myself, you won’t find them. It seems that within a day or two after the dealership made the comment above, I received an email from Facebook, highlighted in yellow below. Facebook has removed all the comments made by the dealership and myself. And has blocked me from making any more comments on the dealerships Facebook page. I anticipated this right after the dealerships comment above, so I cut and pasted the entire thread to my computer for safe keeping.

The oil issue: 27% at delivery even though sales and service both stated to me that the oil was changed prior to delivery. Service stated that “human error”, forgot to reset the counter. That’s possible, but I decided to challenge them on this one and asked to see the dealerships service record on the vehicle. Last oil change was documented in April 2015. Guess they forgot to update their records too. Or maybe, they were not being truthful. If an safety inspection, were performed on the car before delivery, it was not documented anywhere that I am aware of.

The rocker panel was repaired by the dealership.
The tire and rim was not repaired. Dealership claims that the damage occurred after delivery.
Other paint and body damage noted was not repaired.
Then, there is the possible lease issue, and what the dealership told me, or what I wanted to here. Sales and financing staff were made aware that I put about 18,000 miles a year on my vehicles. Which would exceed the 48,000 mile limit imposed on the lease agreement before mileage charges are incurred. Sales and financing staff both stated that if I traded the car for another GM vehicle, that mileage overages would be waved on the trade. Even though I believed them at the time, I have not been able to verify this statement in the lease or anywhere else. Until I do, I guess the dealership got a better deal than I got.

I will be contacting you soon
