Maaco Auto Painting & Bodyworks Reviews (91)

Tell us why here...    [redacted] needs to learn how to count. He wasn’t here 8 times. He kept complaining about one little thing after another with his hood. We had the hood completely sanded and buffed like we would with a show car and he still complained and wanted money back till we fixed...

it. [redacted] gave him two hundred dollar and he was going to leave the hood. After he started to leave the parking lot he backed up and said he would take the hood the way it was but he was going to keep the money. This is how people like him operate they complain till they get something for nothing. Since there was nothing that could be done to make this hood look any better I told him I would keep the hood before I would give it to him for nothing. At this point he went off the deep end and called the police. After taking to the police the officer came into the shop and looked at the hood. I showed him what [redacted] was complaining about and he was unable to see anything wrong with it. The officer told [redacted] he wished his car looked that good. We pointed out to [redacted] that the hood looked the same way on the other side where we hadn’t worked. At that point he gave me my money and took the hood. The next day he called and apologized for what had happened and told me what good work we did. Then he told me that he bent the hood trying to install it on his truck and wanted to know if I could help him out and fix it. I told him I didn’t want to do the work he needed to call another body shop. A couple hours later he called back and ask [redacted] if she could talk me into doing the work. Again he told us what good work we do. Later that day he calls back and talked to [redacted] about the hood and how good it look before he screwed it up. During that conversation he went from telling her what good work we do into a complete rage about how bad our work was and he was going to put it on face book and the Revdex.com. [redacted] isn’t upset about our work he is upset that we won't do anything else for him. He stood in my shop and insulted my employees about how bad their work was and they didn’t know what they were doing. I don’t believe I could get any of them to work on anything for him after the way he talked to them. This is what you get when they go off of their medication.

Revdex.com:At this time, I have not been contacted by Mount Sinai Beth Israel regarding complaint ID [redacted].Sincerely,[redacted]

Dear Revdex.com,We are writing on regards to a customer complaint (#[redacted]).We spoke to the customers as soon as we received the complaint. We apologize to the customer and reassure him our commitment about customer service, a clean car is a standard operational procedure every time that we deliver a car...

after we paint it. And  agreement was reached with the customer. Thanks,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/08/27) */
Ms [redacted] left her car with us on October 27, 2014. It had clearly been repainted since the metal flake on the surface was not from the factory. She also had peeling issues on the car. At the time of the estimate, it was explained to her, as it...

is to every customer, that since her car was repainted, I could not warranty the paint unless it was stripped to bare metal and reprimed. It is an expensive procedure and she declined to have it done. It states on her repair order that since it was painted before, there would be no warranty on the paint. The only part on the car that was stripped was the front bumper since the paint was obviously peeling very badly.
She picked a color from our fan deck. I checked the mixture that the painter used and also with our paint supplier and the formula is correct. There IS pearl in the color she picked and that in itself will lighten the color especially after it is sprayed over a large area. We also sprayed silver metal flake on the car at her request and she provided the flake. It turned out that the flake was too large and kept clogging our paint gun so we had to buy another spray tip to accommodate this.
When she picked up the car she says it was not the color she wanted, I told her I would repaint it but I would schedule her for a few weeks to respray it. She said she would drive it around a while and let me know if she wanted to repaint it. She then called about two weeks later and wanted more metal flake added to the clear. She dropped the car on November 17, 2014 and paid to have another coat of clear put on the car with the flake added. There was no mention of repainting the car another color. Then on February 9, 2015, she AGAIN asked us to put another coat of clear on the car with MORE metal flake. That is what she paid for. At that time, there was NO mention of repainting her car.
Now she comes in in July of 2015 and tells me the paint is peeling on her car. There is an issue on the front bumper which I told her I would take care of but I couldn't promise that the paint would match since there is so much metal flake on the car. She then decided that I should repaint the car for her.
I told her that the car could not be repainted without being stripped since it has so much paint on it now. She states that I should have done that originally which I agreed but she did not want to pay for it. I also feel that I made the effort to accommodate her in October last year. I would think that if you did not like the color on your car you would have done something about it any one of the additional times you asked to have more clear put on it. Not 10 months later.
Also, the person at the corporate level did NOT tell her that sanding and stripping a car is the same thing, They are TWO VERY DIFFERENT operations and this was explained to her in October. I have attached copies of her repair orders and pictures of the car before we painted it to show the problems it was already exhibiting.

Mrs. [redacted]'s windshield has been replaced at no charge to her, from the start of the conversation I ([redacted]) explained to her that we had no problem replacing the glass. I called [redacted] to find out what the problem was and it turned out to be just a misunderstanding of what I said. Mrs....

[redacted] is happy now with a new glass and a new paint job, I left a message for her to follow up with me about her glass replacement and she has not returned my call. Thank you [redacted] for handling this for me.[redacted] Maaco Auto Painting and Bodyworks of [redacted]###-###-####

To whom it may concern; As per your request, please accept this as a formal response to the above mentioned complaint number. The complaint is not backed up by any evidence!  All the services, paint and rust removal that were promised on the estimate, were performed completely and to the...

customers satisfaction.  The complaint is that the paint job is "awful".  Awful, is just an opinion, not evidence of services not being performed.  I have a receipt signed by the customer and pictures of the final product which I am attaching to this email. [redacted] stated that he did not trust us installing the pin stripe on his vehicle.  He stated that it needs to go under the clear coat, installed in the booth while the car is being painted! We explained to him numerous times and encouraged him to ask other paint shops how pin stripes are installed because we don't pin strip cars in the booth while getting painted.  We did not charge him to install the pinstripe or remove the old pin stripes, we only charged him $30 for the cost o the stripes.  The stripes are installed on top of the paint after cars are painted.  His pin stripes are still at our shop, he's welcome to pick them up.He brought the car with completely failed break system and accused us of wearing out his breaks.  Then he accused us of sleeping in his car since the seat was moved back.  His car was delivered to us from another shop where they removed the leather top and upon delivery a note was left on the wind shield to be careful of driving this vehicle, since it had no breaks!  We brought that to the customers attention and his response was that we must have worn out his breaks!Maaco corporate has a phenomenal, outstanding relationship with Maaco customers and was rated one of the top 10 franchises when it comes to customer service in the past 5 years, by [redacted] and other associations.  I cannot speak for Maaco corporate but since they are mentioned in the complaint regarding our services, in their defense I must add that if the customer provided them with no evidence other than his opinion of awfulness which is contrary to the facts, pictures and receipt, if they "blew him off" its not because of any reason other than a complaint that is not valid!. We charged him to paint his car and repair rust in certain areas, as described on the estimate.  We did not charge him to stripe his car which we also did free of charge. As far as the landscaping guy, fake spraying weed, Im not sure what to say about that!  There 3-4 different businesses on this property and there are landscaping services being performed at different times, I cannot order them to not spray weed, or make sure they do their job to [redacted]'s satisfaction!!! [redacted] signed a receipt when he picked up his vehicle stating that he has inspected his car and is satisfied with the services and the shop has completed the services on the repair order.  (a copy is attached for your review)SincerelyMaaco[redacted]

Per my telephone conversation with [redacted] with MAACO Customer Relations on 5/23/20115 stated that she had spoken with the owner([redacted]) at the MAACO located at [redacted] and I had picked up my vehicle. I agreed with her that I did pick up my vehicle after [redacted](the owner)had been given me the...

run around and not ordering parts for my vehicle which I paid for. I am due a refund on the part(head panel) that was never ordered nor placed on my vehicle. She only stated that this MAACO location was a franchise and I would need to take my concerns to another resource.
All I am requesting is for a refund for services not rendered and paid for.

At this time, I have been contacted directly by Beth Israel Medical Center (First avenue) regarding complaint ID [redacted], it is unclear yet whether the complaint has been fully resolved or not:  the person contacting us (who did not mention that it was because of a Revdex.com complaint)...

said that they would try to work with other arms of Beth Israel to ensure that money paid to Beth Israel would find its way to the correct office.  We received one additional bill since then but assume it was sent prior to the problem being addressed.  We have received no correspondence indicating that the matter has been fully resolved.

I am rejecting this response because: After reading his response to the Revdex.com I've decided to reject it simply because he is still not taking full responsibility for how he acted toward me. He left me a voicemail the other day blaming me for what happened instead of being a man about it and making sure the customer was satisfied. I made a decision not to call him back after listening to his message. In my opinion he is a total scam artist who is used to fast talking his customers just to suck them in. Once I start shopping around I will take my car whomever that may be and trust them with fixing it. At this point I've brushed my hands with this whole situation. I don't want any money from Scott or his company. I also don't want him to touch my car because the trust is absolutely gone. I wish him and his business luck but I've moved on. I suggest that he learns how to treat people who choose to spend money with him a little bit better than he did with me. Bad business practices catch up with you eventually. Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
The trim on my car had NO previous chipping, and the rubber is still soft and pliable, not at all brittle as the employee from Maaco contends. A few days after picking my car up from Maaco, a piece of trim lifted up at one end while I was on the highway. After arriving home, I walked around my car and noticed the pieces of trim on the front driver and passenger sides jutting out and lifted up at one end. My car may be 11.5 years old, but it has been taken extremely well care of and has very low mileage.  For the Maaco employee to claim that the damage was caused by an automatic car wash is untrue, as I do not use automatic car washes, and I attested to that fact while speaking to him in March. For him to reiterate that information is absurd. If he did not agree with me while examining my car in March, then why did he attempt to repair the trim that was lifting up and out? He would have told me at that time that they weren't responsible for any damage to trim. It also clearly states on the contract that there is a "limited lifetime warranty" for any trim removed and any area's "masked off" are covered by a full one year warranty or a two year prorated warranty. Why is Maaco refusing to stand behind their warranty?  I was told by [redacted] upon completion of my vehicle that the color was matched to the inside of the door jamb. I have documents from a third party merchant as to the variance in the color that they painted my vehicle. At no time was I told that they could not match the original Toyota factory color. Please tell me where to mail in the documents from the third party merchant, as well as the original contract with Maaco, and I will do so. These will support my claims against Maaco.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/07/21) */
We have been painting for this Used Car Lot for over a year with no problems. They brought this car to us on June 17th. It was a busy day and they just left the key on the desk. When we went out to move the car to the back lot, it would not...

start. We contacted them about the fact that it wouldn't start. It sat in front of our shop for 3 weeks before they decided to do anything. They came out and said our jump box was not good and tried to jump it with their own while our salesperson sat in the car and tried to start it. Then he said it needed a new battery. He didn't come back until Thursday, July 9th. I gave him the4 key so he could start the car. He came in and said the starter was bad and he would replace it. A few minutes later he came in and said to just push the car around because he didn't have time to fix it.
At that point I told him there would be a charge to push the car since I would have to take people off the production line to push it at each station. It is a VERY heavy car. He just said to get it painted.
He came on July 15 to pick up the car. Two of us pushed it to the front of the shop from the back lot.
After a few minutes, he asked me to come outside and look at the vehicle. The rocker panels were not painted. It was our mistake and I offered to fix the issue for him. At first he said ok. It was at that point that he said we lost the key for the car that had the chip in it to start it.
This was the first time anything about a second key was mentioned. He said he drove the car to our shop with the key and it was on the same key ring that the other key was on, We only had one key. At NO OTHER time did he EVER mention a second key. We even gave him the key we had to try to start the car.
I then asked him to please check if he might have taken it with him back to the shop as there was no other key on the key ring. We would have no reason to remove it let alone lose it.
After a while, he apparently decided not to let us fix the problem with the paint. He left and came back about 20 minutes later and drove the car away. I guess he found the key.
He never said anything else to me about the car and now he has the audacity to demand a refund and key replacement? I think he owes me an apology

The paint service she selected was the special we had packaged up. About $800 of service for $450. She also had some clear coat peeling off that required extra prep. The paint service was for the single stage Urethane. We take the paint code from the vehicle and enter it into the [redacted] computer...

system. This will generate a formula for the color. It is mixed and sprayed. Sometimes single stage paint will be a shade off but on an overall the entire car is being painted so all panels still match. If we do spot painting on collision work we use the high dollar Base/Clear paint service along with a camera color matching system. The molding that this customer is complaining about were not taken off the car when it was painted. We do remove molding on low cost single stage paint services unless it is requested by customer and there is a charge. They are mask around before painting. The rubber on the belt molding is chipping off in a few places due to the fact that the car is 12 years old and the rubber has dried out and is brittle. The customer go through the automatic car wash and the brushes can cause this kind of damage. If it had been a piece of her car we had worked on and we damaged it I would be more than happy to repair or replace it. In this case we didn’t do any work to her molding. As for the paint color it’s out of our control to get an exact match all we can go by is the [redacted] computer system.Complaint#[redacted]

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/06/02) */
Customer originally brought his vehicle in on March 9 for paint only. It was noted on his repair order that the car was in primer and no warranty was offered. The paint was finished on March 11 and he paid for it and picked it up on March 13. He...

came back a few days later with some issues. Some of the problems were attributable to his bodywork but we agreed to address the problem. I also sanded the bubbles on his car that another shop told him was water in the paint gun, but it was just his bodywork reacting with our products. we have no control over this as we did not do any of the bodywork, that is why we offer no warranty. He dropped the car off on April 27.
During the repair process, it was noted that the bubbling in the bodywork was a problem and he was shown the issue while the car was still at the shop. We did address the problems he outlined and he picked the car up on May 29.
Customer came in on Monday, June 1 complaining that the car is now in worse shape than before. I asked him to bring it by and I would look at it. Instead he decided to put in a complaint and I have no idea what the problems are.
I am attaching a copy of his signed work order for the original paint where it clearly states NO WARRANTY, and also the work order for the issues I agreed to repair.
I have worked for this customer before and that is why I tried to accommodate him with the paint problems since he has been very easy to get along with,

I am sorry that Mr. [redacted], left the email complaint that he did.  Mr. [redacted] came in to this shop several times, first to get a quote.  At that time, I asked him what he wanted to do with the truck.  He said wanted to clean up the truck, because he just wanted to sell it.  The...

truck was in primer and very difficult to see all the bodywork that it needed.  My first thought and I told Mr [redacted] that this truck needed well over $1000 worth of bodywork just to begin with.  Not including any prep or paint work.We finalized an estimate with our most inexpensive (enamel) paint and with some of the bodywork listed that I could "see," with the truck in primer as it was...  I mentioned then, that once the truck was in primer, that I would call him in to look at it before we painted it.  Mr [redacted] came in and I showed him the body areas that he paid to have repaired and there was a lot more work to be done.  He wasn't too happy about that, but that's what I told him from the beginning.  He agreed to a few hundred dollars worth of additional bodywork, but not nearly all the work he needed to make the truck perfect.  Mr [redacted] also added a two tone charge (of $150) more to paint the roof white.  He also, at my urging, changed his color choice from Black to Blue Metallic.  This would show less body imperfections than the blue would, with my experience. So then Mr [redacted] came back in to pick up the truck.  He mentioned there were a few, fairly minor items, of overspray (exhaust, bed wood, on the radiator and air cleaner areas, and on the seat).  Mr [redacted] did not want to pay his bill until he reviewed the truck when we had it cleaned up.  When the truck was done, about 15 mins later, Mr [redacted] looked at it and was happy at that time to pay his bill in full, with cash.  He signed off on our completion form and drove off.About two hours later, Mr [redacted] pulled back into the lot, with a friend of his and they both were not at all happy with a number of things that he mentioned below.  (His friend works at a custom cycle shop, by the way, where they do high-end, top dollar custom paint jobs on cycles.)Anyhow, how we left it was this.  We did the work that he paid for.  We did our most inexpensive paint and charged him only approximately $500 for the paint work on his bill.  I did agree with Mr [redacted] to address his overspray issues and would be glad to clean up those areas for him.  I also agreed to touch up several areas of paint that were on the body seam on the tailgate area and roof rain gutter, that were very difficult to sand to his liking. He wanted to drop off the truck that day and I said we couldn't finish up the work yet that week.  (I believe it was on a Thursday.)  I said it would take a couple days and he decided to leave the truck anyhow.  Then he went back and called Maaco Corp about the (poor?) service he had received from my shop, after I said we would address his overspray concerns.  The other complaints he had were not anything that we could take care of, without having to charge him extra money.  He was absolutely not willing to pay any more money for his job.  I called him back and asked him why he went to Maaco Corp, after we shook hands and I agreed to take care of specific concerns that we already agreed to.  He was not happy about that, and neither was I and I told him to take his truck, because I would not deal with a man who can't keep his word.He said he'd pick up the truck first thing the next day and be done with us...  So I thought, to do the right thing and to honor our agreement, that I would take care of his areas of concern on overspray, before he got in the next day.  Well, Mr [redacted] didn't show up to pick up his truck till that afternoon.  We had addressed his concerns that we had agreed to and he was not happy that we even worked on the truck at that point.  He picked up the truck, put the truck on Craig's List to sell - looks pretty darn good and he's asking a high dollar price for this truck.  Then Mr [redacted] proceeded to post derogatory posts on our FaceBook page and went here to the Revdex.com and thus, this response...I really cannot do any more for Mr [redacted].  He is requesting all new parts and in all my dealings with thousands of customers over 10 years, I have never met such an unreasonable person.  Sorry that he is so upset, but outside of any minor overspray issues and clean up, we are not able to do anything more at this time. This should suffice to state our side of the story.Regards,[redacted] K [redacted]owner - Maaco Stanton[redacted]

Review: I bring my car in on a Monday morning to have a new front bumper cover , new headlights, the trim around my window where the film that was currently on the Crome but chipping a little, fender , my spoiler uninstalled off the trunk and a paint job. When I drop off the car I state that I would like the spoiler to still be painted and kept for me to pick up when the cars ready, just incase I would like to put it back on in the future they said that would be no problem and was told my car would be ready on Friday .

Also, I got in on half off paint special the total was 1150 out the door (mind you I had supplied my own new headlights)

I call them Friday after noon asking what time to pick up my car they tell me it won't be ready till Saturday I say okay no problem they close at 1 anyway. I call them Saturday at 11 they say to come in right before they close. I get there ten minutes till and they have me waiting and explained they still had to paint the trim around my windows so I wait. To get me out quicker they have me signing papers and pay before I get to see my car and pretty much push me out the office and close the gate.

[redacted] tries to just hand me my keys and tried to leave I ask him walk the car off with me. He's clearly in a rush. I immediately had noticed the runny blotchy paint job my new bumper had a gap in between the headlight and where the bumper should have laid on it I could see the floor threw it and it didn't lineup with the fender correctly I ask him about that he says that the paint job just hits the car that way and that is that basically (even tho I paid extra for surfacing) and that the bumper is aftermarket and that is that I then ask if these could be fixed he said yeah that they will take a look at it when I come to pick up my spoiler on Tuesday it'll be ready. Now I'm starting to get really ticked off at this point so I take my vehicle home and then notice the trim around my windows that I had paid extra $80 for they had just paintedDesired Settlement: over the plasticky film that was already over the chrome and was already chipping off. Later on that night I turn on my headlights and realize my interior lights no longer work on the radio and dash and my running lights were completely off on the trunk I call Maaco they next day now being Thursday and still no call on my spoiler I'm a lil more mad now I call and explain my whole situation and everything that I've been noticing on my vehicle every day I've had it and they basically say that none of the issues or their fault that the vehicle was not like that and that these are my problems and they have no recognition of what I'm talking about [redacted] answers the phone and completely cusses me and my husband out throwing out F words like it's nothing.

We go in the next day and completely got excuses for everything every problem [redacted] explains that's what I get what I paid for as if I should just deal with it and that it's Maaco so that's what I should expected anyways

Response:

I am sorry this customer has the complaint she has. She did drop off the vehicle, however there was never any mention to paint the spoiler as she ascertains. The agreed upon repair order states that we were to remove the spoiler and fill the holes on the trunk lid. The spoiler was not supposed to be painted, as it only had minor scratches and it was ready to be returned to the owner upon pickup, as we typically do when our customers decide to remove a spoiler. The customer also mentioned that she brought in two headlights that she had purchased and we took the parts prices off the original estimate.<She keeps mentioning a "[redacted]," of whom we do not know. We have no one here from Mars...>We try to finish our jobs in a timely manner. Her car had been in a front end collision (she states three years prior) and we had to order some parts (aftermarket fender & front bumper), install them on the vehicle, in addition to the parts that she brought in and then paint the entire vehicle. To do this within a week is not always possible. We did the best we could in that timeframe. The painting of the trim around the window trim was not done properly and I agreed with her to either have her leave the car and pick up on Monday, drop off the car for a day or remove the $80 off the bill that we charged for the prep & paint of the window trim. Indeed we provided a check for $80 on 20APR15 to address this issue. This was the day she had someone come in to pick up her spoiler. The customer complained that there was a gap between the headlight (she provided) and the aftermarket bumper and aftermarket fender that we ordered. There was a small gap, which I explained happens on occasion with aftermarket parts. The fit and finish of some of these inexpensive parts is not the best. She mentions she paid extra for "surfacing" which is surface reconditioning that we had to do on the hood, roof and the left 1/4 panel, due to the clear coat delamination that was occuring because of the sun damage to her paint. This had nothing to do with the alignment (gap) of a bumper and a headlight. She complains about blotchy paint. This is something I still have yet to see. She posted photos on the internet which does not show and paint defects. I have seen her car and it looked like a very nice paint service that we provided. After she has the car for several days, she complains that her taillights did not work (the brake lights did work) and some of her interior lights. We said to bring it in so that we can take a look to see if anything was related to what we did to the vehicle. As it turns out when she did bring in the vehicle later that next week, there was a fuse that had burnt out and we took about 30-40 mins to diagnose and resolve the problem for her at no charge! (This diagnosis would have cost anywhere between $50-100 at any mechanics shop.) This fuse issue was not related to the install of any parts that we did, even the headlights (that she provided) were working correctly when the car left. She noticed only because the interior lights on her dash console had gone out.As far as the phone conversation goes, we tried to communicate clearly and respectfully for her to bring the car in so that we can address any of her issues. She would like to make a formal complaint here and does not ask for a specific desired settlement. We have provided above and beyond what this customer paid for. We diagnosed the cause of her lights going out, for free and provided a fuse to fix the problem. This was unrelated to the repairs that we did. The trim paint issue we have already provided them a refund check for $80 since they were not satisfied with the repair, which I obviously concurred.Again, we are sorry things went the way they did with her. I had even agreed to paint the spoiler after the fact for her, due to any misunderstanding between us on that, since there was no mention of this on the repair order and when the car was dropped off. The spoiler painting was put on hold due to the fact that she called Maaco Corp twice to complain about what happened, then put two (very negative) posts on [redacted] and now this, with the Revdex.com. So here we are. We try to do our best at all times and we try to "do the right thing."Thank you.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. They lie and lie, it's not my fault they didn't write down on the work order my requests , they obviously do this on pour pose when they promise customers there requests to get out of actually doing it. I mentioned the spoiler to be painted and remover just in cause I ever wanted to put it back on and they said that was completely fine and it was included in the paint price already and it would be no big deal at all and what do they do? They don't write it down and all all shocked when I asked for it back and then they hold it rancid when I call corporate on them for all the things they did wrong to my car and sand it down and rip all the wires out of it and tell me now it won't be painted even tho it was there for a week after I had already picked up my car and it was way beyond agreed apon that it would be painted and they would call me to revive it. So disappointed in this place and if you read any reviews there all my same situation so it's obvious all customers against this junk hole of a place!Regards,[redacted]

very horrible place with really horrible people , [redacted] the guy who works there yelled at us used the f* word over the phone when we called to complain .. the paint job was so bad they Painted over dirt and grit sand and over old chips from original paint you can see the bumps ,, they painted the trim of the windows which I paid 80 $ extra over the tape and the chipping film and when we pointed it out like is this for real they were like that's basically what you get , horrible experience never been yelled and cussed of in any business before I will file a complain with the corporate and take legal actions

Review: I had a car painted at this location of MAACO. On 3/11 we talked about having the car painted and a windshield replaced. Got a quote for both. On 3/13 I went ahead and had the window replaced by another place for the cost of $205.92 which was cheaper than the estimate given to me by MAACO. 3/17 I left my car with a brand new windshield on it. First, I did not get the car back until 4/2, which was too long, and then as I was driving home I noticed the windshield was cracked. I immediately pulled over and called the manager to tell him the window was broken. They had even stuck the oil change sticker over the crack. I also could not get my automatic key to work, and when I took it to have it checked it was full of water. This was also on 4/2, which of course [redacted] the manager never addressed that situation and did not even want to hear about it. [redacted] claimed it was the glass places responsibility to replace the glass. They claimed it was his responsibility to fix. This glass was not broken when it was carried to MAACO. Went to [redacted] and spent a couple hours with [redacted] and even the MACCO in [redacted] before going back to see him on 4/8 about the windshield. The reason I tried to get the problem solved was [redacted] wanted the car left again so he could fix it. I will not leave my car again with them on the risk of having more damage. When I went back on 4/8 he tried to talk about my driving and that it was the person who changed the oils fault. How in the world he came to that conclusion was insulting, so I left. Then contacted MAACO's corporate office and never even got a response from them.Desired Settlement: I paid MAACO in good faith on 4/2/15 $566.79 for a paint job as agreed upon. My windshield cost me $205.92 and I want that refunded so I can get it replaced from their damage.

Response:

Mrs. [redacted]'s windshield has been replaced at no charge to her, from the start of the conversation I ([redacted]) explained to her that we had no problem replacing the glass. I called [redacted] to find out what the problem was and it turned out to be just a misunderstanding of what I said. Mrs. [redacted] is happy now with a new glass and a new paint job, I left a message for her to follow up with me about her glass replacement and she has not returned my call. Thank you [redacted] for handling this for me.[redacted] Maaco Auto Painting and Bodyworks of [redacted]###-###-####
