Please close this file. The shop has rejected to do services on their vehicle because customers are not able to keep their appointments and only decide to do everything on their terms and not follow any procedures. Customers have copies of all the paperwork from their contract. Customers keep sending others who are not on their contract for their information. We have attached the "as is" contracts before and there are no further obligations from our end. You can only help those that appreciate the help but unfortunately we are not able to help this customer any further. The vehicle was sold "as is", there was nothing indicated on the "we owe" form and therefore everything we did for them was just a courtesy. We have nothing to do with the shop nor the warranty. If the customer needs a copy of any of their paperwork, they need to come pick it up themselves but we cannot release their personal information to others. If the customer has any issues with the shop or work that was performed, they have the shop contact info to deal with them directly. As part the dealership we have done everything to keep the customer satisfied but when you buy a used vehicle you have to understand that remotes, paint, brakes those are wear and tear items and is not a brand new car. We always offer to help and be courteous to our customers but straight out demanding and saying that we made promises is completely unethical and hence we are no longer able to help this customer. They are free to go to any other shop as their warranty is acceptable nationwide

Customer test drove the vehicle and was satisfied before purchasing vehicle. Customer bought a the vehicle no warranty and absolutely no refunds since all sales are final per our policy. Customer has all the paperwork that outlines that. We diagnosed the vehicle for
free and recommended the customer to take the car to *** for further checkup. We also advised the customer per our policy that all sales are final and all deposits are non-refundable

I am rejecting this response because:Complaint #***
I take issue with this company’s response for the following reasons:
• I am completely aware that I purchased this vehicle “as is”, however I contend I was sold this vehicle under pretensesIt is clear from your former responses, that you consider resetting the “check engine” light so that it goes off, fixes the problem The truth is fixing the causeof the light coming on would be the right course of action.
• You claim your mechanic fixed the problem when he changed the sensorIf that were true, why did the light remain on?
• He reset it once again a week later, and it came back on within an hour• If you consider resetting the check engine light fixing the problem, then it seems likely that you may have done that before putting the car on your lot for sale If the “check engine” light were on while I was test driving the car, I never would have purchased it.
• You say I left your place of business with a smile. Well that was because I thought I had bought a reliable vehicle from an honorable dealerWell, that smile didn’t last very long because within an hour of driving the car off your lot, that “check engine” light came onI called you immediately and you said you would fix itSince you did nothing more than reset that light, and probably had no intention of fixing the “cause” of the light coming on, I can only assume that you knowingly sold me a damaged product and now want to wash your hands of the whole situation.
By the way, for the record, the definition of slander is…. the communication of a statement that harms the reputation of an individual person or business, etcNothing that I said is “false”
Regards,

All mileages are logged and documented at the time of sale and at the time of drop off and pickup.   So we can assure you that you are confusing it on your end.   There is no runaround.  Its simple, everything we have done so far was simply a courtesy and anything further will have to be paid for by the customer as the vehicle was sold as is Thanks

Vehicle was sold as is and all sales are final.   Customer was given the opportunity to purchase an extended warranty at the point of sale and they chose not to but they still have a chance to purchase one.   Customer test drove the vehicle and was satisfied with the vehicle and...

the terms prior to purchasing the vehicle. Unfortunately their oil pump failed and they still drove on it instead of towing it to a shop or not drive it until further check up.  We are simply trying to help but at the end of the day they bought a used vehicle "as is" and any help that has been done so far is simply out of courtesy.  Anything further we will gladly help them by giving them a discounted price on the repairs.

The truck is park at my home. They called me and told me I had to pick up the truck from their shop in Mechanicsville. I picked it up and was told by the man Kenny at the shop that the engine was ready to stop working he said he told Jay & John this information and both of them said we still had to pick up the truck.

I am rejecting this response because;
No Madinah Auto Sales (MAS),company polices were seen, nor was I made aware of same.

MAS associate Mr. Zee stated several times that, "he needed the cash down first"; before seeing the requested vehicle documents, before presenting any proposed vehicle sale documents in agreement.

On 03/21/2016 at 6:51 PM, Mr. Zee took the $7000 cash deposit and left the room. Mr. Zee returned with John H[redacted], and requested an additional $1000, which was taken from my bank card at 7:02 PM.

The original receipt of the $8000 cash down was signed on 03/21/2016 at 7:47 PM, and does not state non-refundable.

There was a confrontation between Mr. H[redacted], and other associates concerning the signed deposit receipt that Mr. H[redacted] was making copies of.

Mr. H[redacted] returned with additional documents for signature that were hindered when signed on 03/21/2016 at 8:22 PM.

Multiple times during the four hour ordeal, Mr. H[redacted] and Mr. Zee stated, "if your not satisfied with the vehicle, to bring it back, no problem with return, no final sale".

Mr. H[redacted] accepted the return of the vehicle on 03/24/2016 at 11:34 AM, and said "NO PROBLEM IN RETURNING MY DEPOSIT". No completion of sale; due to multiple issues with the vehicle, and the hindering of the proposed sale documents, which were not in agreement, nor seen until 03/22/2016 at 10:30 AM.

The whole evolution was about getting my cash money, which (MAS) did rush to deposit, before any documents were presented, and being in agreement.

MAS took the cash deposit on 03/21/2016, and on 03/24/2016, agreed to return the deposit when the vehicle was returned and accepted back to the dealership.

On 04/01/2016, I was informed that MAS refused to honor the agreement to return/refund my deposit in good faith.

MADINAH AUTO SALES IS A SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! I really hate to say that; but it is the truth in this matter.

(1) NO DISCLOSURE OF ANY COMPANY POLICES, WRITTEN, AND/OR VERBAL

(2) REFUSED TO SHOW TITLE OF VEHICLE, INSPECTION OF VEHICLE, AND OTHER REQUESTED DOCUMENTS

(3) FALSE STATEMENTS ABOUT VEHICLE INSPECTION, CONDITION OF VEHICLE, AND THE VEHICLE WARRANTY

(4) DEMANDED CASH DOWN, AND ADVANCE PAYMENT, PRIOR TO ANY AGREEMENT OF VEHICLE SALE

(5) HINDERING DOCUMENTS FROM CUSTOMER

Attached is a copy of the original cash receipt/deposit dated 03/21/2016, and stop payment of requested advance check.
In order to resolve this matter without further legal action; Madinah Auto Sales needs to honor the agreement on 03/24/2016 in the return/refund of said monies.

I am rejecting this response because:I was unaware and not informed of the non refundable down payment for a hold on the vehicle until after I completed the transaction of my money and the Finance manager having me sign the receipt of payment with my transaction receipt stapled over the nonrefundable statement in the Receipt of down payment from the company. Not at any moment were there any company policies explained before the transaction of my funds were taken. No Purchase Agreement was ever met or signed, The Receipt from the transaction does not say Non refundable, the down payment is not complete and paid in full. The company receipt as told by other dealerships is not a legal binding document and I am entitled to a full refund.

I am rejecting this response because:Due to the deceptive actions of Madinah Auto Sales. I have been advised by my lawyer to contact Maryland States Attorney General in which I have and to file a law suit against Madinah auto sales.

I went to Madinah Auto Sales last year when I received my tax return. A gentleman who works there referred me to them stating oh they will hook you up with a car. So I went there with a rather large down payment for a car. Needless to say I bought a minivan and for the first 3 weeks I owned the thing it was in their shop getting fixed. However I still continued having issues with the vehicle. Until finally I broke down and went to another shop in which I was told that it would cost $8000 to fix everything that was wrong with it. When I returned to Madinah and told them they immediately stated that I was to blame for the vehicle's issues and they wanted to know if I wanted to trade it in for another one to which I replied no I want you to fix this one at little to no cost to me. Needless to say I no longer have the minivan and still have to v finish paying for it before you send someone to buy a car from them please read this review.

This customer's complaint was already closed.  This is the same complain again.  Please close this.  The vehicle was sold "as is" and there was nothing on "we owe".  The customer has copy of all her extended warranty paperwork.  She is free to go  to any certified shop...

to get her work done.   We are the dealership not the repair facility.   The repair facility that we refer our customers to, has denied to perform services for this customer because they cant keep their appointments and keep changing their stories and making up new issues.     We have already done everything that we can as a courtesy and there is nothing else we can do further for this customer.   Thanks

Like the customer said, O2 sensor was changed which was based on the codes that was given to us by the customer when they took it to autozone.  That was taken care of as a courtesy even though the customer bought the vehicle "as is".   Whether a check engine light comes on an hour later or 2 weeks later, we are not liable nor responsible for fixing anything, but we still tried as a courtesy.  It is a used vehicle and things like that can happen anytime and yes because we are a reputable and honest dealer, we even included a 1 year extended warranty free of charge.  And yes it would be a slender if a customer falsely accuse us of being dishonest by "clearing" check engine lights.  Unfortunately, we wouldn't be having this conversation if the issue was covered under the customer's extended warranty coverage, but it doesn't .   As always, we always try to help out our customers and we will still honor the 50/50 on parts and labor to fix their vehicle.  Sincerely,Management

financed the vehicle with a second chance bank.  We advertised the $7995 cash price but she was financing and hence her terms were different.  We went over all the finance terms prior to her signing. She was happy and test drove the vehicle before agreeing and taking delivery.  We also sold the vehicle "as-is" but was given extended warranted through 3rd party.   All the numbers and financing terms were discussed and addressed prior to her purchasing.  All her issues are basic wear and tear items.  This customer is simply having buyers remorse.  We have the bill of sale that she signed. Thanks,Jay F[redacted]###-###-####
