Not sure how this company has a A rating. That said, my sole reason to respond here is in hopes others review this company reviews filed and/or complaints and take them seriously. Once the salesman sells the product on their website, you will never have the companies personal attention nor the product they had shown & sold. The materials workmanship is very sloppy. The "chase" to have Mr. Tim S, the alleged owner, appear or send send someone out of emails, texts, photos is totally unprofessional for the money spent on this type of purchase. The 7/2/18 complaint is real, as is the 8/1/18, 11/14/18, & 1/18/19 1st am. I pray others check the Revdex.com on them before ending up like us!

Hi ***, I am sorry about you not being happy with your experience with us. I would like to discuss that with you if you could please call. We install hundreds of fences each year and have THOUSANDS of happy customers!! The natural characteristics of cedar left outdoors will sometimes check, crack, or even bow. Our cedar fences come with a 3 year warranty that covers much of that.

I wish I could give negative stars because Tim S s a con artist. I paid $5000 for an aluminum fence and his crew of is put one side in with the gate and hinges on the outside and put the entire other side of the fence with all of the hardware (screws) showing! They also hammered a large nail into my vinyl siding to hang a leveling string. Who punches holes in vinyl siding? The crew also left several of these large nails throughout my yard as well as trash and very sharp aluminum scraps! Not ideal with 2 children and a dog playing in the yard!
I reached out directly to Tim and he agreed things weren't right so he sent the same crew out. They said they would fix it and I never heard from them. I finally heard back from Eric who originally quoted me. He saw how bad everything was and agreed it would be fixed and he would replace the panel of siding. This would be a much better company if Eric was in charge.
Of course, that didn't happen. They sent someone out when I wasn't home and switched the fence panels so most of the hardware isn't showing but did nothing for the screws in each fence post. As far as switching the other gate, they did and instead of filling holes and painting the aluminum, they just put a bunch of screws in to cover up the holes. There are too many other fence companies out there so don't waste your time and money with Mae Fence.
Bottom line - DO NOT BUY A FENCE FROM TIM S!! HE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE WORK THAT IS BEING DONE AND WILL NOT REPLY IF THERE IS AN ISSUE. ERIC ALSO INFORMED ME HE DOESN'T PAY HIS EMPLOYEES AND WILL OFTEN LEAVE TOWN AND NOT RESPOND TO THEM WHEN HE OWES THEM MONEY!!!! DO YOUR RESEARCH AND DON'T BUY A THING FROM THIS COMPANY.

I am sorry to hear about this experience. I see that you you have used us in the past and was happy with the other installations. This was a surprise because you left the crew with a 5 star company rating when they completed the job. We have approximatly 30 employees here depending on the time of year, paychecks are given weekly and we do not "OWE MONEY" to anyone that works or has worked at Mae Fence. If there are issues with the fence you would like to discuss please call me directly and we can work it out for you.

So glad we went with Mae Fence! They gave us lots of options for different budgets so we could pick what would work best for us. The guys who put the fence in did a GREAT job and were professional and fast. After they left, I noticed that they forgot to include a few of the post caps so I called and left a message that same evening. They came back the very next day to put in the caps without any problems. Definitely recommend!

Thanks ***!!! The size of job does not matter for us, we take all shapes and sizes. We have now started a service department so we can start doing fence repairs and adjustments. From small repairs to large commercial jobs. Anything that has to do with a fence we now do it!!!

Sept I called and emailed them about the problem with the fence bolts snapping off. Got a response that they would issue a repair order and was running 1 -2 weeks out no problem I understand. Waited a month called(never answer when called) emailed no response. Waited 2 weeks emailed and told them I would file a Revdex.com complaint if I didn't hear back within a couple of days. Got a response that she would give it to Tim the manager. Has been over 2.5 weeks and no one has got back to me about it yet.

The bolts were not snapping off, this is a paid repair and not a warranty issue. As you can see by the photos this was caused by physical damage or weather. I will take an extra $100 off the total of the repair to help with the cost of fixing the gate.

I was on vacation during the time I was to respond back. The photos they included where from prior damage due to wind which I already paid them for. This is not what I was referring to in the complaint. I even have contacted Hannah though email at MAE Fence and told her this was not what I was referring to prior to there response. Each email she tells me something different ( we will start a work order, we are booked for two weeks ,I will give to Tim and get it done sooner than later, etc). Today she emailed and said she needs photos which I have no problem doing if she would have told me 3 months ago this is what she wanted. Each time I get the run a round for a simple repair due to them not installing all screws on brackets and what is there is snapping off. Thanks you

I contacted Tim at Mae Fence in early March 2018 about a broken gate that they installed July 2017 This was a $29000 fence we purchased from them and they installed it. It came with a 1 year warranty. Tim asked me to send him pictures and video of the gate. I sent him what he requested. Since then I have called his cell phone and the office, leaving many messages for him to call me. At least 5 messages were left with the receptionist who answered the phone and I politely asked her to give my message to him. Since he refuses to answer my calls, maybe he will answer yours. This is a pre school and the gate is becoming a safety issue for the children! Im sure he is busy, but we all are. I would appreciate him at least calling me back to discuss this matter. As with all businesses, we rely on our reputation and I would not recommend his company entirely due to their installation and service after the sale!

I had Mae Fence install a fence for me. Troubles began right away when the materials didn’t arrive on time so they couldn’t begin installation on time. It was suppose to be done by Sat June 2nd & wasn’t. It was finished the following week. One of the gates isn’t lined up correctly with the latch, so I have to manually lift the gate to get it to latch properly. I’ve called 4 times over the last 4 weeks trying to get someone to come out & fix it. Jocelyn, who answers the phone, keeps giving me a day someone will be out but no one ever comes. I was on hold for over 20 minutes this last time I called to talk to a Mgr/owner & then I was cut off. The gentlemen who installed my fence were nothing but kind & considerate, but unfortunately they nicked my electrical line (the one to my house) & then I had to have the electric company come out. I was only getting half power to the house. When the installers came back the final time to finish, the office staff called my friend & demanded payment. I had already written a ck & given it to the installers 15 minutes earlier. Plus they called my friend & not me. The office staff is horrible. I had a friend with me when we got an estimate & the acct was put under his name & not mine. I’ve asked every time I’ve called for the office staff to switch it but it’s never been done. They keep calling my friend. Bottom line, I just want my gate fixed & I don’t want the “run around” any more.

The gate has been repaired and customer is satisfied. There was confusion with this job, the contract was written in another name and another phone number. My fence was installed Monday, July 9th and it still is not finished correctly. The panels wrere hung crooked. The crew put the wood gates and hardware on backwards. They trimmed the wood for gates unevenly. Bottom of boards are ragged and look like they were cut with a chainsaw. Contacted the company and were told they would send a crew back out on Wednesday. No one showed up. Called again and told we will send a crew out on Thursday. No show again. I am getting the run around from the staff. Meanwhile I have a fence that was not installed properly and not providing me with the safety and security I need.

We had a fence installed and have had many issues with the lack of things completed or how it was finished. My latest and largest complaint is while the service providers were installing part of the hardware, my driveway was ruined. Large chunks of my concrete driveway are coming up and are crumbling.They did not use the proper drill bits and completely ruined a large, high traffic area of my driveway. Everyday more and more of my driveway is coming apart. I have sent the company pictures and have called them regarding this and have not heard a response. Every attempt to fix a issue makes a bigger problem. When installing a fence I never thought my driveway would be ruined. This company was quick to remedy issues so they would get paid. After receiving payment it has been a struggle to have Mae Fence complete the job properly and or fix anything the have ruined along the way. I shouldn't have to repair this issue that was caused by this company.

I purchased a fence install with Mae Fence Company in March of 2017. I made my deposit in April and the fence was installed as scheduled. Although there were many damaged, cracked or warped frames, railings or post tops that needed replacing, the issues were reported and a service request was scheduled after installers completed the install. Prior to me paying in full, Mae Fence has been out to my property, after several service request calls, to repair and or replace framing, post tops and railings between the months of April - July. The post issues that were not repaired or replaced were stated as "included in the 3 year warranty" should an issue arise. Please be aware, many times this company will show up unannounced for service calls which made it impossible for me to validate their work after it was completed. This often resulted into return service visits. Although their staff took or lost my water hose nozzle, after several complaints, I was issued a $50 credit.
Mae Fence called several times to get the final payment but I told them not until my fence is repaired/replaced completely. Tony, their install man came out in July, unannounced, to replace a fence frame and railings on the reported issues. However, on the first attempt, Tony replaced the wrong frame and had to redo the job. Full payment was made on 8/1. However, I believe this service repair has lead up to my problem today. On November 28, 2017 I came home and let my dog, a Shih Tzu Miniature Poodle, in the yard to play. Moments later he began barking at something near the back of the fence. I go out to check on him because when I called he didn't come. What I found was horrific. My dogs head was caught under the fence, the new fence that I just had installed. I was able to dislodge his head safely. I called and left a message with Tim, the owner, concerning the "Gap Fence". I inform him that the frame/railings installed are cut uneven. There is at least a 4 inch gap between the ground and the bottom of the fence framing. The other surrounding fence framing/railings presently, are showing gaps about 3 inches or less above ground level. I did not receive a return call from Tim. NOTE: THE FENCE DEFECT WAS NOT CAUSED BY ACTS OF GOD, WEATHER, OTHER CONDITIONS BEYOND THE CONTROL OF MAE FENCE, DOG DIGGING AND OR LAND SINKING. On 11/29, I called the office and spoke with Hanah. I told her about the "Gap Fence" and my dog issue and was instructed to email photos of the fence and that she would call me back once she received them. Hanah didn't call me back. On 12/1, I call and left a message with Tim. NO REPLY IS RECEIVED. I called Hanah. On 12/1 She stated that "she gave the pictures to Tim, who isn't in the office, and that Tony, the repair guy will call back within the hour to confirm repair date since he makes his own schedule. NO CALL RECEIVED. I again call Hanah and this time she states that Tim, who isn't in the office, says he doesn't think it can be fixed but will check it out. I state this is unacceptable. The whole purpose of the fence was to secure my dog on my property who is now able to get out or at least get his head stuck under the fence possible harming himself. Hanah states she will call back again within the hour to confirm repair visit after speaking with Tim when he returns to the office and again, NO RETURN CALL. I again call Tim and Hanah on December 3, 4, 5 with NO RESPONSES. On 12/5 I call the office and speak to Rebecca. She states that Tim isn't in the office but says that he sent me an email. I check and tell her that I haven't received any email from him. She then states he will send an email when he returns to the office. NOTHING RECEIVED. On 12/6, I speak with Hanah who rudely interrupts me to say that their outlook was down since 12/5 so Tim couldn't send me an email but would send it after it was up and running again within 24 hours. I state that I am getting the run around and didn't appreciate it. Tim is never in the office but always will call me within the hour and my issue still is the same. She states again that she will call me back. I tell her that is what she has said from 11/29 to present date with no return call. She said that she didn't call back because she couldn't get any information from Tim or Tony and that she isn't in control but would give Tim the message again once he comes in about 12 noon regarding getting the fence repaired. NO RETURN CALL. I attempt to leave Tim a message on 12/6 but voice mail is full. On 12/7 I leave Tim, Hanah, Rebecca and Jerry (salesman) a message regarding the “Gap Fence" requesting for a return call for resolution. To this date, NO ONE HAS RETURNED ANY OF MY CALLS nor have I received any emails.

We have made multiple attempts to keep Mrs *** happy, she was a well known customer from 2017. We have sent service crews out a total of 9 times for “repairs”. We ask for photos of the the work that has to be done so that scheduling is not a problem. On some occasions we would replace material or make repairs that did not have to be done. The fence is complete and this is not a warranty issue. If Mrs *** would like this work complete she would have to pay the $175 service fee to have this done.

I am rejecting this response because: Mae Fence has been out to my property at least on 3 "scheduled" visits to repair issues that were noted upon completion of the install because of damaged materials used. Because of their error and or miscommunication with their staff, Tony made several trips to repair the issues but did not come prepared with the right repair materials or not enough (even at one time replacing the wrong fence). There were also times that Tony arrived unannounced and left without noticed and had to return because the issue that I had complained about was not fixed. I have never been told that repairs made to my fence did not need to be done. All issues that were repaired were warped, cracked or damaged and in need of replacement. This is the first time that Mae Fence has asked me to send them a photo of the repairs needed. I sent them a photo of a fence that was cut uneven allowing my dog's head to get stuck under it allowing an unsafe area for my dog to play. The uneven cut of the fence is a warranty issue in my opinion because the fence defect is caused by installers error in cutting the fence too short and not by any act of God, weather, other conditions beyond the control of Mae fence. It is cause by Mae Fence and since it is their error, I feel that the work should be completed at their cost and I shouldn't have to pay their $175 service fee to correct their mistake.

The consumer had the supplier install a fence on her property and they did a poor job. The supplier has made promises to come out to repair the fence but they have not shown up as promised. The fence was installed inside the property line of the consumer. The consumer has not yet paid the supplier for the fence.

From the start of the process everyone was nice and very helpful. Friendly receptionist was able to schedule me an estimate the very next day. The Sales guy Eric arrived on time and brought samples for my husband and I to look at. We had a tight budget we were working with and he was able to give us exactly what we wanted for the lowest price. The guys who came out to our house worked very hard and had our fence up that very day! I've never seen such efficient and quick work done before. We will definitely be referring Mae Fence to anyone in need of a fence!

Absolutely horrendous experience. In June we ordered the moving of an existing fence and installation of new pieces around a pool and garden area. On the day of installation, workers arrived to dig holes and cut down the existing fence posts. After this was completed they realized that they did not have the correct pieces to install the new fence. They indicated new fence would need to be ordered. We were originally told this would take a few weeks. A few weeks turned into 10+. This left my pool exposed until it was finally completed at the end of September. The owner was impossible to reach with his secretary simply stating that she would get our message to him. Only after I got his personal mobile number from his sales guy did I finally manage to reach him. His justification for the delays was that the sales guy had quoted the job to cheap. When his workers finally arrived 2 weeks after his promised date, they left behind a horrible mess. I spent hours picking up broken medal, screws, drill bits from around my pool area and grass, not to mention a few dozen cigarette butts.

Let me start by saying that Eric, the salesman, was great and so where the subcontractors that did the job though they spoke little to no English. The problem is with the owner and the apparent lack of communication with his workers. We will be going on day three without a gate that was agreed upon in the contract. Mr. S's workers, in broken English, stated they did not know about or had the ability to put a gate frame kit on the gate and then install it. I contacted the company and was told it would be taken care of the next day. Guess what, I am still waiting. Not sure if it will get done at all. Very disappointed with the company! I will not use them again.

I would warn anyone to think very hard before hiring this company. We requested a quote to put up aluminum fencing around our new inground pool. We met with Eric our sales man who was wonderful and actually why we decided to go with Mae Fence. We had an original install date of Aug 8th and completion the same day. We requested to push start back a few days and they advised that was fine and would get back to us with the new date. From that point forward we have had nothing but issues. After many ignored phone calls and texts we were given a start date . The employees showed up worked a couple hours the first day and then left with a half completed project. I never received any communication as to when they were returning or why they left. I called and sent text messages to the owner Tim S but he refused to respond. I called the office and the very nice receptionist was able to get him on the phone. He told me they would be back the next day or Sat and proceeded to hang up on me. Two employees did show up on Sat worked for several hours and then told us they did not have the gates but would be back Tuesday of the following week. The following week Tuesday came and went and no Mae fence employees showed up. I received a text message from my sales guy Wed morning advising the employees would be back, however at 1:23 pm on Wed I received another text advising they would not be coming . I called the main office they advised the employees would be out on Thursday to finish up the job. I have little faith in this company. I am a week into a job that was suppose to take 5 hours and still have no gates and damaged fence. I would not recommend this company to anyone. When the owner of the company refuses to communicate or respond it is never a good sign.

This customer is not understanding and hard to do business with. They made multiple last minute changes up until the installation date including the layout, construction, gate size, total footage and date installed. We did what we could to make this happen as quickly as possible. The reason they have been waiting for the the gates is because we had to make and have 2 new gates welded. This job will be complete as quickly as possible and I hope that they are happy with the finished product.
