Review: I received a telephone call from Magazine Agency to renew my subscription to The [redacted]. It was a promotion. I gave them my credit card number over the phone for the subscription renewal. They charged my Visa account $199.68. In addition to the [redacted] subscription renewal for 2 years I was to receive a "free gift of your choice of $300.00 in Gas or Grocery Savings to the address listed below". They sent a form to me in the mail which I completed and returned to the address as stated on the form: [redacted]. The last part of the promotion was that I would reveive a subscription of my choice of a magazine. I am receiving the magazine that I chose.

This all occurred around April 2013. I called the Magazine Agency many times (###-###-####) spoke to a live person , never receiving a direct answer as to when I would receive the gas/grocery $300.00 gift. Eventually all I got was voice mail. The number has now been disconnected. I spoke once again to the [redacted] this AM May **, 2014 and they have yet to receive the extension of my renewal and I have yet to receive the gas/grocery coupon.Desired Settlement: !. National Enquirer needs to be notifyed of the extension of my subscription

2. I have yet to receive the $300.00 gas/grocery coupon.

3. If Magazine Agency will not honor #1 & 2 above, I want my $199.68 returned to me.

Thank You

Review: In January 2013 I was solicited by phone to order a magazine. I was promised a renewed subscription to one magazine, and 2 trials to new magazines. I was also promised participation in a monthly gasoline club. My payment of $59.70 was paid on 1/*/13. I have not received any of the promised subscriptions, and have not received the refund that I requested. This organization is very unreliable, and I am now out of pocket my full payment.Desired Settlement: I would like my payment refunded.

Sincerely,

Review: I was contacted in April 2013 by a representative of Magazine Agency with an offer of magazines and $300 in gas coupons. When I questioned the offer the representative told me it was their way of spreading the word. After several minutes of conversation I chose a magazine that sounded agreeable to me and gave him my credit card number which was charged for $79.20 the following month. The representative explained that delivery should start in about 120 days because my magazine was a bi-monthy publication. Approximately one month after the initial conversation a form and magazine confirmation arrived regarding the gas coupons which ask me to fill out which one place I would like to go for my gas. I returned the form and that is the last I contact I have had with the company. When September arrived and I had not received any magazine I began calling the phone number listed at the bottom of the conformation letter. I have called approximately every week since the beginning of September and left a message, but have not received anything back. I have also pushed the 0 button while on the call only to have the voice tell me an attendent is not available.Desired Settlement: Please refund $79.20 back to my Visa card and I do not want any further dealings with this company.

Review: On April **, 2013 I received a call from Magazine Agency and they stated they would give me 135 issues of Golfweek, 40 issues of Golf World, 24 issues of Golf Digest, and (1) $300 free gas certificate. They mailed, on May **, 2012, the information and I filled out and I mailed back to them on May **, 2013. I had not heard anything from them, so on 7-**-13 I called the company and talked to [redacted] at 11:00 a.m. and she informed me that a new company had taken over and they "SKIPPED" me and that we should receive the magazines in 2-4 weeks and the gas card within 8-12 weeks. (I paid $106.65 and they charged my credit card in April 2013). Well on 11-**-13 I called back to the company, because I still have NOT received a magazine or a gas card. I could not speak to a person, only a recorded message asking for my information and they would call back. Well, I did not receive a call back, so I called the next day and left another message. Still, no call. So, that is why I am contacting your company. This is false advertising and theft.Desired Settlement: I would like for them to credit my credit card back $106.65 and the company put out of business for lying and stealing from the American public.

Sincerely,

Review: On 10/**/12 I paid them $89.64 via credit card for 36 issues of Playboy, 24 issues of Men's Journal, 52 issues of ESPN The Magazine, and a $100 gas certificate. I have received nothing from them despite at least four separate phone and e-mail contacts. Each time they promise me I should receive things soon, but it never happens!Desired Settlement: I want to receive what I paid for and at least an apology for their appalling service.

Sincerely,

Review: I was contacted at my home by a representaive from "Magazine Agency" offering a free gas card ($300 I believe) with the purchase of a subscription. I signed up for the subscriptions and was charged on my credit card $89.01, on 2/**/13. I was well aware of the price that I was being charged so that was not an issue. I called the company back approximately 2 weeks later asking if I could purchase a cheaper subcription and was told that they could not refund me the money since I was already charged but would add another subscription to my order. I was fine with that. Weeks later, I never received anything. I called and was told that the magazines should be coming soon and that they would be resending me the gas card information. I finally received the gas card information but was having trouble filling the form out online so I emailed [redacted] (which I had received correspondence from prior) but they never responded. The gas reimbursement was so difficult to figure out and handle that I gave up on that. More weeks past, still no magazines. I called and was told that they had my incorrect address down so they updated the system with my new address. More weeks past and no magazines. I called again, several times after that and kept being told to just wait a couple more weeks to see if they arrive. I finally called again in May or so and said I wanted a refund. I was told that the representative submitted a request for a refund but she had no control over whether or not it would get approved. I was told that they ultimatley never changed my address like they were supposed to have the first time but never did. I continued to press for a refund and was told to keep calling back to chack to see if the refund has been approved. I have called and emailed several more times and now just receive a messaging machine. I have left several messages and have not gotten a return call. The file is under my husbands name, [redacted] I believe but I was the one they spoke with initially when placing the order. I was told that there is no room left on the "notes" section on my file. I have been very nice with all of the reps that I have spoken with but mypatience is wearing thin. At this point, the company has basically stolen $89 from me because they have taken my money and have provided nothing in return. This has been going on since February and it is now September, please help! It isn't about the money anymore, if they can be stopped from doing this to other individuals, I will gladly forfeit the $89.

Addendum:

Hello,

I believe I provided incorrect information regarding the order # on my

complaint. I don't believe I received an order number however I did receive a

confirmation number for a refund request which was [redacted], not [redacted] like I

originally indicated.

Thank you,

###-###-####

Desired Settlement: A refund please.

Sincerely,

Review: I received a phone call to order magazines, Charisma for three years, Photography one year and Readers Digest one year. I agreed to a payment plan of three payments taken out of my account May to August. After my last payment I waited because they said to allow thirty days to process. I didn't receive any magazines and haven't since then. The total came to seventy five dollars. I called and left ten messages from October to January with no return call, and looked on the Better Business site and found another number. I called that and left a message and finally got a call back, explained my situation and she said I would start getting my magazines in January. I never did and I called Charisma and they never received payment. I have since called and numbers are disconnected now. Sincerely [redacted]Desired Settlement: Money back or magazines

Sincerely,

Review: On 4/*/2013 I ordered 3 magazine subscriptions and was to receive a FREE $300 Gas Certificate. To date I have received two of the three magazines and NO Gas Certificate.I have tried to contact the company by both phone and email with NO success. I have alerted my Credit Card Company but it may be too late to dispute the charge of $89.64.I am totally dissatisfied with this company and suggest no one else be suckered into this scam.Desired Settlement: My payment of $89.64 or the magazine that I never received and the Free Gas Certificate that I never received.

Sincerely,

Review: I was called by this company to subscribe to magazines, one of which was a renewal. I was told that I could elect to receive a certificate worth $300 for gas, $25 per month for 12 months, if I subscribed to magazines through this company. I had to pay right then, on the phone, to receive the special discount on the magazines and be eligible for the gas certificate~which I did, using my [redacted]. That was on February **, 2013. Since then I have in fact received the magazines but not the gas certificate, which was an inducement to purchase the magazines. I have called numerous times since late March 2013, and each time I have had to leave a telephone message which the company responded to days later with the same message to the effect that the certificate is still being processed. I believe this is a scam and there is no gas certificate.numerousDesired Settlement: I would like to receive the gas certificate by the end of this month, i.e., July 2013. Failing that I would like an apology and proof that the company is no longer making this false and misleading offer to anyone anywhere.

Response:

At this time, I have been contacted directly by Magazine Agency regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

An account representative of the successor company left a voicemail message for me on Friday, August *, informing me that her company had taken over the accounts of the original company (Magazine Agency). She was leaving on vacation and will try to contact me after August **.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Sincerely,

Review: In May **, 2013 I paid Magazine Agency $71.64 for a subscription to Gun & Garden Magazine & Readers Digest Magazine; also a 3yr (36 month) extension to [redacted] Magazine. In addition I was promised a Gas Certificate of $300.00. To date, in spite of many calls & correspondence none of the above have been delivered. An [redacted] or [redacted] returned my call on 9/**/13 saying they received a letter I had sent. She also said the magazies have been ordered; and that she had sent my data for the gasoline benefit to some gas agent & informed that within 8-10 weeks I should get a packet with information on how to process gas receipts, etc.. We complied. We call. All calls go into their Mail Box with the promise they will call back. It rarely happens! We paid the subscriptions & did what we were expected to do, and were assured that the orders for the magazines had been placed. I checked with [redacted] several times. Nothing had been done! They took my money and have NOT delivered the purchased products although they told me the orders had been placed. It appears they do not deliver as promised and a refund of my payment is more than appropriate.Desired Settlement: To settle and be done with this.
