This company lies and makes false claims to make money. They will tell you they were 'just featured in cosmos!' Every time the come in (which has been every few months for the past 2-3 years) they claim the makeup is normally '$70+ value but if you buy it now it's only $10!' But the makeup is extremely cheap quality and they will harass you into buying it. If you say you don't have cash they'll try to talk you into using a check or card, and if you say you don't like their makeup they ask you 20 questions about why you don't like it, what kind you use (which is none of their business!) and other similar questions. This company is a scam and the makeup is dollar tree quality as in it doesn't work well at all! I've tried their makeup twice hoping the second bag would have better products and they barely show up and are extremely low quality. Don't buy this!!

Hi [redacted], We are truly sorry that the representative has made those statements. Please know that our products are not purely natural/organic. Although we do not have direct control over how these representatives conduct themselves when in contact with the general public, we do insist on...

DO NOT BUY THIS! I had the same situation where a man came into my work place pretending like he was buying food, sold me the make up telling me everything in the bag was worth over $200, that they're competing with bare minerals and need reviews. I was not told I was basically signing up for a free trial testing of their make up. We are their lab rats. I'm not even sure if they know that this stuff is safe to go on faces. I regret buying that bag of make up more than anything, my face is covered in blistered scraps from the face powder and blush/highlighter. My face has been continuously feeling like it's on fire and like there's dried glue all over my face for about 2 days now, since I first tried the make up. Whatever you do, DONT USE IT. Even if you already bought it just throw it out I promise it's not worth it. My face and my confidence have had detrimental reactions to something that I was manipulated into buying. I want my money back, and I want my skin fixed. It's not fair that 2 days ago I had flawless skin and now I can't even recognize my own skin due to all of the scanning and burns.

Still no reply from anyone at the company. It's been 5 days, 2 doctors visits, 5 creams and antibiotics and it's still not clearing up. I still have burns and scarring across my face. I am livid and I'm pursuing a lawyer, thank you for fking up my face.

I wish I would have Googled this before purchasing. The ladies came in and pretended to be customers buying ice cream. While deciding on a flavor, the woman acted like she was going to help me pick a flavor then mentioned they'd been giving these bags away "all day" as she put one in my hand. She then told me it was $20 and an extra $10 for a visa "discount". I was told the products will be in Sephora stores "soon" and they need reviews to help them. After I made the purchase because I felt embarrassed and pressured, the women immediately left without buying ice cream. They had been waiting in line prior as if they were doing to buy it. They use manipulative and misleading tactics. They even bragged about how great the ice cream is, pretending to be partnered with the company. I was told after by the worker that he avoids them as they pester humans have nothing to do with the store. Upon time to research, the brand won't be sold at Sephora and is not high quality. I felt ripped off of $34 as I am On a tight budget while job searching, and I felt stupid for allowing my shyness to let them basically steal from me when I have everything I need at home. Their tactics are horrible.

Review: Very poor business tactics by this company. The employees are VERY young and have been known to harass individuals into buying their products. They have also solicited at businesses - mostly small businesses. This afternoon, a young woman came into my family owned store and began to harass me and my mother into buying the products she was offering. There were multiple people in the store as well, waiting for our help, but we could not get the woman to leave. In order for this woman to leave, we had to purchase the bag of makeup that she was selling. A year earlier, a man was selling the same products inside of a restaurant - not a fast food restaurant. He also harassed me and began to say that he was there to help me because I needed all the help I could get. This man insulted me, to my face, and expected that would convince me to buy his products. My significant other finally got him to leave us alone so we could eat more than 30 minutes after he approached our table. These products have been known to cause rashes and infections - as many trusted online reviewers have stated. Yet, the company continues to deny these claims and sells the products. Their employees are brutal and do not take no for an answer. They have also been known to sell these products in gas stations and other unsanitary places. They cannot be trusted.Desired Settlement: I would appreciate a refund, however I do not know exactly how much money my mother paid for these items - as I had left to help the customers that were waiting. I am afraid to use these products for my own safety. The selling tactics of these employees also need to be looked into, as nobody should be harassed into buying a product - especially when the employee directly calls the customer ugly. I just want this business to change their ways and stop deceiving people.

Response:

Good Afternoon, I am just writing to let you know that the company has been in contact with me and has offered me a refund. They claim they are working towards re-training their employees as well.

Thank you for your help,

Review: I was approached by a gentleman while walking to get lunch on my break. He handed me a gift bag and then went into his sales pitch about how great the products are and what a bargain I would be getting. He sold me a bottle of perfume for $30 and said for buying that I would get the gift bag of makeup products free. He had a tester bottle of perfume for me to smell, and maybe it was just because I was outside, but I thought it smelled nice until I came inside and opened the one I bought. It is way too strong and I have not been able to stop sneezing since spraying it. The sales guy told me this perfume sells for $1 per ml in Europe, making my bottle a $100 value. I found it online for 7 euros, or $7.49, not even the $33 I paid (30 plus 10% tax?), much less $100. The makeup is even worse. The quality of these products is very terrible and I believe I was definitely misled and, I feel, deliberately lied to just to make a sale. I am literally afraid to apply these products to my skin, that's how poor the quality is. I have tried to find a phone number or website to issue a complaint and request a refund but the website doesn't work and I can't find a phone number. I paid by credit card that he scanned on his phone via Square. He texted me a receipt which requested an opinion on my experience to which I gave a negative response but was still not given any way of contacting them, not even an email address.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the $33 I paid and if they would send me an address and return postage I will gladly return the products as I definitely do not intend to use them. I also think this company should train their sales people better and not let them deliberately lie to people to sell their product. I was so upset by this whole experience once I had time to research the products myself.

Thank you

We had email issues and did not get the customers initial email. We reached out to the customer and are giving her the refund. We will be sending a refund check in the amount of $33.00. The customer should have the refund check within 2-3 weeks.

Review: I purchased some eye shadow from a pushy salesperson in a parking lot at Costco & he told me I could choose "blues" or "greens". I chose "greens" but when I got home & opened the package I realized he had given me the " blues". The package was not marked so I see how this could have easily been a mistake so this is not my primary complaint. My primary complaint is that when I tried to contact the company to make an exchange, the "contact us" form on their website would not send, kept giving an error message & saying to try again later. I typed out my complaint to them 5 times over two days & it still wouldn't send. Their website offers no other way for to contact them. I felt like this company was a little shady by their sales approach but decided to purchase anyways, now there has been a mistake & I have no way to reach them, which in my opinion is not honest.Desired Settlement: Company to contact me & then send me what I thought I purchased in the first place free of charge to me.

Review: I purchased a promotional package at the Atlanta dogwood festival on 4/12/15. One product did not work, but the company did reconcile the situation. Then, I went to use a makeup remover wipe which had already been opened. One was used and then stuffed back into the package. It was covered with makeup and black areas from dirt or someone else's makeup. I'm very appalled by the lack of FDA health practices that were not implemented. I do not know who or what is on the used wipe or if I can attract anything from the wipe. Even worse, since it was stuffed back into the package, the integrity of all other wipes are compromised. This is very disgusting and concerns me about any and all other products by this company.Desired Settlement: I would like for FDA to insure all health practices are being implemented. I could've become ill from this and want to make sure others do not become ill. I have many allergies, as many others do, and this could've caused a serious allergic reaction.

Response:

As soon as the customer contacted us about the makeup wipes being used we immediately tracked down the sales office responsible for this to find out what happened. The independent sales reps typically have demo samples and we concluded that the rep may have accidentally given the customer the demo sample instead of a brand new one. Regardless we take this seriously and the representative was let go and no longer distributes Makeover Essentials. We also sent the customer a brand new pack of the makeup wipes. All of our products go through independent laboratory testing to assure consumer safety. We are 100% in compliance with FDA requirements for cosmetic safety and every formula is evaluated by a Board Certified Toxicologist to assure safety. Makeover Essentials goes beyond most brands by spending hundreds of thousands of dollars per year to assure every product not only meets regulatory requirements, but are intensely tested to assure they are safe, hypoallergenic and are the best quality available for your body and skin applications. Testing is done by the best labs in the world; labs that are approved by the USA Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Review: this company keeps coming into my place of work and we have told them numerous times that we are not interested I feel as im being harassed at my workplace when I ask them to leave they try to converse with my clientsDesired Settlement: I would like them to stop harassing me and my customers
