waverunner are inspected before and after and if u did have new hull damage yes we have to fix it and charge

malow's jet ski rentals [redacted]

We are sorry Ms. [redacted] did not understand anything about the renting of jetskis.  The rental is $65.00 per day, but there is always a refundable deposit if there is not any damage incurred.  Unfortunately, Ms. [redacted]'s party did damage the ski quite a bit.  There was almost 8...

inches of fiberglass damage plus a large crack that we didn't charge her for.  Attached are pictures reflecting this damage.  Additionally, we have it clearly posted in our front lobby that gas is NOT included in the rental fee.  We also have the "before" video if anyone is interested in seeing it.  We could have charged quite a more for the damages but forewent that because they were on vacation.  She obviously did not appreciate that.  She did sign a contract stating she would pay for any damages to our jetskis.  Attached is a copy of the contract as well.  We did nothing wrong and nothing outside the scope of our business.

Complaint [redacted] -- It's true our contracts are long, but "a couple hour to read it" is an exaggeration.  It actually takes about 10 minutes to read it, which one should do before they sign a contract.  And in that contract, you agree to pay for all damages.  Most customers that have damages are upset because they have to fork out money they had not planned on.  We understand that. But we have to charge for damages, which costs us time and money.  As a good faith effort, I will split you dispute with you and offer you $150 to resolved the matter.

They are CROOKS!!! Charging customers for made up damage to old and worn jet skis. Their equipment was faulty as well. They should be shut down. Complaints on line go back years.

The impeller was definitely damaged so we had to charge the customer for it.

Very good service! I will be back soon. Unfortunately many people are scared to rent from these locations due to bad reviews. What they fail to realize is that these reviews are only a small portion of the people that are served by this business'. I had a wonderful experience and thought I should share it. Thanks Malow's!

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowYou have several complaints against your company for doing the same business practices as toward myself.  It appears this is a pattern by your company to overcharge customers for additional fees.  You still never addressed what I stated in the complaint as to rebutting how the rocks could have gotten into the impeller.  You have a "f" with the Revdex.com.  Why is that?  Another question, why do you have so many complaints filed (reviews) against your company for these type of charges?

This is a horrible business. On the weekend they charge $250 per jet ski. There sign says $ 65 all day. The people that run this business did not take any time to explain how jet ski's work or how to operate them. We thought we ran out of gas but when we brought the jet ski's back, the lady stated that the level of the river fluctuates the gas gauge. So we still had 1/2 a tank of gas and lost 2 hours of being on the water. The guy that was running this place was cussing out other customer as well. They have absolutely no idea what customer service is. I think that they are also dealing drugs and using the jet ski rental as a front. Someone needs to go check this place out.

Regards,

Last weekend my family and I rented a couple of wave runners to enjoy at the river in Laughlin. Unfortunately my dad chose to go with a different company and he used Malow's. When we first walked in they were very rude and they were all sitting around in chairs. The woman who helped us was very rude asking lots of questions. When the time came for my dad to give her a deposit instead of saying something like, "Your total will be...," she said, "You owe me $400." She had an attitude to go along with that sentence. There were three of us who were going to be using the wave runners and they didn't really want to give us more than three life jackets but the lady told us three was okay but no more. I have never been talked to like that before. We have rented from many different rental businesses and they always make sure to ask us how many people NEED life jackets because it is a safety issue, this lady didn't seem to care too much though.

We took the wave runners out and when it came time to return them I called the store letting them know they were ready to be taken out of the water. The same lady who spoke to me earlier answered the phone and continued her conversation with someone in front of her. After about 30 seconds she said, "Yeah hello" in a very rude tone. I told her they were ready to be picked up and were by the loading dock. She then rudely told me, "There are guys out there, you need to look for them they will NOT look for you. It's not their job." After I got to the loading dock I had to approach one of the men who was supposed to get them out of the water and told him my dad and fiance were ready to come in. He ignored me. I had to try and get his attention several times, he was talking to a group of young girls. Finally he told me he couldn't get them out because he had to go get the girls gas. After waiting about 20 minutes he finally came back and didn't want to get my dad and fiance out of the water, he continued talking to the girls. I had to go tell him twice they have been waiting for you for over 45 minutes since I called the store. Finally the man got the wave runners on the trailer. He was supposed to take them with him to go gas them up and instead took off and left all of us there without letting us know what he was doing. My mom and I had to leave them at the loading dock because they were wet and didn't want to ruin the seats in the truck (the man made them get off the wave runners IN the water instead of on the trailer like every other business I have used does).

My mom and I had to go to the gas station to fill the wave runners up and then go back to their store to retrieve our deposit and to make sure everything was in order. When I got there the man who had taken the wave runners out of the water was inside telling the lady I had spoken to earlier something. I walked in (they were standing right inside the doorway) and they didn't say anything to me. I had to say, "I'm here to do the inspection, return the life jackets and get the deposit back." Another woman was extremely rude and told me I was not able to handle any of the business with them (they had seen me earlier that day because my dad and I went in to pick the wave runners up). Finally after about 5 minutes of explaining why my dad couldn't come in they told me I would be able to get the deposit back after the machines were inspected. They told me that I could just go home and that they would put the money back onto the credit card after the inspection was done. She kept insisting that I leave and it would all be taken care of. I have NEVER experienced this in my entire life.

I told her I wanted to wait and make sure everything went smoothly and that there were no problems. I waited 20 minutes and they still had not been inspected. The woman kept asking everyone if I really did pay for the gas in the wave runners like I was not telling the truth. A man walked in and told her that a wave runner had been broken. The lady responded and said, "Did they put gas in it though?" The man told her no. The lady turned around and yelled at my mom and I, "I thought you said you put gas in it?!" I told her that I had no idea who that man was and that I have NOTHING to do with him or the broken wave runner. The fact that she would RUDELY turn around and YELL and accuse me of something without asking anyone for details is amazing. Shortly after I walked outside to find another man hooking his car up to the wave runners I had rented. He told me he was taking them back down to the water to go pick some other ones up. I had to tell him they were waiting to be inspected myself. There is SERIOUS lack of communication and intelligence here. Finally the man came out and inspected them and I was given my deposit back, or so I think. After waiting at their store for 45 minutes I was able to go back and get my dad and fiance.

This is the WORST business I have EVER been in. I can't even begin to describe There is no desk or any form of organization in the entire place. I do not trust these people and they kept a copy of my dad's license and information. Who knows what could happen to it. I don't believe they should be in business any longer, they do not care about their customers one bit. I cannot believe you would lease space to someone like this. They are clearly bad for the city and taking peoples' money. Other reviews on Yelp and other sites suggest the same thing.

The impeller on the ski was damaged and I have to charge for damages.  We did not swap out anything.  I am sorry for your bad experience, but you signed a contract stating we could charge you for damages to our ski.

I was very skeptical about renting with them due to the poor reviews written internet wide. However, after asking around in the hotel we were staying at, several people recommended this place so I decided to give them a shot.

They had EXCELLENT customer service and pricing!! $75 all day rental plus gas. I only ended up paying $200 for the whole day. There is a $200 deposit that is returned at the end of the day. The year before I paid about $190 for ONLY 2 hours at a different business!!

Check them out!!
