Hello,
Below is the email sent to the client on Jan 26th 2015:
face="Verdana" size="1">"Dear [redacted],
As I mentioned before, we usually would’t even have a pinpoint for the mobile business. Your ad does’t specify the address as well, and we have your approval on it. We added a pinpoint based on the google map search for your business, the screenshot was attached to the previous email.
As for the map mistakes, design team went over your list today and confirmed that everything had correct address and location. We only had a [redacted] listed twice but one of them actually had a correct address."
On April 2nd of 2015 we sent another email to [redacted]:
"Dear [redacted],
I hope you are doing great.
It is our top priority to make our clients happy and satisfied.
We would love to offer you an upgrade to a double spot ad on the [redacted] Chicago for the 2nd year of the publication. In addition, we will give you a double spot ad on the [redacted] publication for the 2nd edition for absolutely no charge.
Please let me know if you accept our offer, so I can update our system for the future editions."
We have never received any complaints from the hotel, and we successfully confirmed that they are happily distributing our maps. The agreement with the client was fulfilled and we offered some extra free advertisement to make client happy, that client denied.
Thank you!

This customer was involved in a publication produced by [redacted] Publishing, not by Mapperarti. The customer can contact [redacted] of [redacted] Publishing at the following email address: [redacted]

The attached contract states in the Special Instructions box that no deadline can be guaranteed. Though it is unfortunate that we were unable to meet the targeted release date, we are still within the terms established on the contract that was signed.
Additionally the terms in the Special...

Instructions box state that the contract is for a minimum 12 month advertising term. As only 2 months have elapsed, the contract will not end for another 10 months. As has been explained to the client, we can cancel the contract after 12 months of advertising have elapsed. The automatic renewal noted on the contract will not go into effect as we have received prior notice of cancellation.

Hello,
In response to the rejection, our management has approved a new resolution.
I have reached out to the client and notified them that we will refund their payment and cancel their contract as they requested.
Thank you.

We are in communication with the client with a proposal on fixing any issues they might have. It is our top priority to see our clients happy and satisfied.

Best,

Dear [redacted],
I have attached the advertising agreement which was signed by Mr. [redacted] that states "Placement is not guaranteed and is subject to change at Mapperarti's discretion unless spot location fee has been paid." This agreement also shows 0 value under "Spot Location." As I stated previously, we were unable to place the advertisement in the requested spot, and Mr. [redacted] was quickly notified of the alternate placement via email.
We do have documentation and correspondence from the the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach stating their intent to distribute and support the publication, to which end Mapperarti is responsible for approaching businesses to enlist participation.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The business's response is simply not true; their sales rep promised the placement that I was sold and was fully aware that my business was contingent upon it.  The hotel is not endorsing them reaching out to prospective clients on their behalf.  I have spoken with the hotel's management team (happy to provide a specific contact) and was informed that there are numerous complaints regarding their method of doing business and misrepresenting the manner in which Mapperarti says the hotel referred them - the hotel does not refer Mapperarti to prospective clients, so this point is also a lie.  Their "non-refundable deposit" was never addressed by the sales rep and is an outrageous $1,040.  Mapperarti's reply is simply more lies attempting to justify their unethical business practices.  This company is conducting bait and switch tactics which is illegal and unethical.  I will continue dispute and seek full legal action against Mapperarti.  I have also attempted to contact their corporate office and have not received a response.
Regards,
[redacted]

Dear [redacted],
The advertising contract which Mr. [redacted] has signed stipulates that "Placement is not guaranteed and is subject to change at Mapperarti's discretion unless spot location fee has been paid."
The spot location fee was not paid, and this is shown on the...

contract. Our sales rep communicated to Mr. [redacted] that the placement would be given if available. Another advertiser had claimed the spot that Mr. [redacted] requested, so we notified him shortly after signing that his placement would be in another spot.
When he told us that he wished to cancel the agreement, we informed him that we could refund all that he had paid except for the non-refundable deposit, as per the advertising contract.
The hotel that we are working with has consented to have us contact local businesses for participation in the publication we are producing, as we have a signed contract to this effect.

Dear [redacted],
Ms. [redacted] was provided a full refund earlier this week.
Please let me know if anything else is needed to resolve this.
Thank you,

Dear [redacted],
As I mentioned before, we have never heard any complaints from the hotel. We are currently in communication with the hotel regarding next edition of the publication, and none of the issues were brought up by the hotel regarding first edition.
Could you please send us an email that you received from the hotel?

Revdex.com:
I just wanted to Thank [redacted]...I noticed in the response the word "clients", I had reached out to other vendors involved, equally unhappy...as well as contacting The Montage Hotel. They may have played a role in this occurring as well since they had received numerous complaints and had asked for a copy of this complaint.
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.
Regards,

I sent Mapperarti $5900 for two ads in two issues of the Santa Lucia Preserve Magazine. The issues were never released and I have been chasing them for a refund for over a year. They work closely with Private Club Marketing and Club and Resort Publishing. Each business says the money refund will come from one of the others, yet they are all connected. The accountant for Mapperarti is the agent for Club and Resort Publishing. The CEO of Private Club Marketing is the Publisher for Club and Resort Publishing, etc. A shell game of unprofessional and unethical people.

hi Tom, did you ever get this sorted? Same thing happened to me.

Avoid like the plague, MATTHEW LONGWORTH IS A FRaud, rips off his staff as well as his business and investors, never mind the companies that get taken by his Pirahna sales people! His companies RAPE the Assets and simply change their address and company name he's been doing it for decades. BEWARE!

Review: Mapperarti reached out to me under the false pretense that they had been asked by the hotel they were providing their map for; the hotel confirmed that this is false. They sold me ad space based specifically on the positioning of my ad, charged my card for the ad, and then notified me that they would not honor the ad placement that they had promised. They offered me a refund with the exception of a $1,000 deposit, which is completely unfair and almost certainly a practice they've implemented to attempt to extort money out of potential clients they are in the habit of deceiving. It is fraudulent to contact me on behalf of another business (the hotel) when the business did not make the request or consent, and it is fraudulent to bait and switch a client for ad space that was contingent upon placement. Their management team is unwilling to communicate effectively and shows no regard for their own fraudulent activity.Desired Settlement: A full refund of all money they've received from my company.

Dear [redacted],

Review: Last year I was contacted by Mapperati Maps offering my company to be included in a promotional marketing map that was being developed for the [redacted]. Being that I manage the hotel's Spa, I thought it could be beneficial to add the Spa location and contact information in the maps for promotion with the hotel guests and increase the foot traffic at the Spa. I ended up buying a $2,000 slot in the city maps to show my location and contact information, but almost a year later the maps have not been distributed by the hotel because they contain multiple errors (city landmarks), including the erroneous location of the hotel's Spa, which is shown at a different hotel in Chicago and about 10 blocks from the [redacted]. Obviously, they never reviewed with me the map prior to printing. After I saw the printed maps I spoke with the account representative from Mapperati multiple times to inform her about the errors in the maps but she gave no solution. Needless to say, the maps have been completely useless, for me and for all the other companies that paid for adds to be included. This is completely unacceptable.Desired Settlement: In the end, Mapperati Maps provided a deliverable that did not meet the minimum quality standards, which resulted in the maps not being distributed, and for which I never received the benefits that I was expecting from my $2,000 investment. Therefore, I demand a full refund.

Hello,

Review: On May 7, 2015, the National Sales Manager of Mapperarti, visited my office in Fountain Hills, AZ and sold me an ad that would be featured in a Fountain Hills map being published for the local luxury resort Copperwynd. I paid $780 for the ad via my business debit card. The map has never been published. I have contacted the company several times to determine status and every time, I get a totally different answer. I was told on the phone and in an e-mail that the company was planning to refund my money. I believe they are deceiving advertisers. I want a full refund from this company.Desired Settlement: $780 refund.

Dear [redacted],

Review: On 7/13/15, I signed an agreement with Mapperarti, USA to place advertisements for our business for the Santa Monica Fairmont & Viceroy hotels for a cost of $3000.

On 7/12/15, my husband & I met with [redacted], Account Representative for Mapperarti to ensure our expectations would be met. Specifically, we asked him if any competitor to our business would be included on the publications. His response was “no – you would be exclusive & you have my word”. [redacted] stated that the location of our business, Marina Del Rey would be shown on the map. He also stated that the maps would be completed & circulated within 12 weeks of signing the agreement. On 7/13/15, I spoke with [redacted] to confirm the above expectations & he assured me that the above was correct prior to my signature on the agreement.

We paid 50% ($1500) & received the first map published by Mapperarti for the Viceroy hotel on 10/23/15. We were shocked to see that a direct competitor placed an ad on the map & that our location was not listed. Mapperarti tried to charge my Amex for the second half when they had not published the second map, long after the 12 weeks completion time promised. I asked Amex to stop payment on this charge & explained what was promised had not been delivered. Since then, Mapperarti published the map for the Fairmont hotel but the same issues (competitor on the map & no location for our business) remain.

10/24/15, we called [redacted] at Mapperarti. She provided contact information for Inna Makarova, Supervisor. On 10/26 & 11/12, we left messages for Inna but received no response. On 11/17, [redacted] advised us that Inna would not speak with us & stated that this was not the first time [redacted] made promises to customers, had not communicated his promises, & that they had reprimanded him for this in the past. Per a letter I received from Amex dated 12/21/15, no response has been provided to them either. They are issuing a credit in the amount of $1500.Desired Settlement: We have paid 50% of the $3000 charge but have not received what was promised. We are a small business & had we known a competitor would be on the same publication, we would not have spent this money. Because we have not received what was promised, we feel that we should not pay the full amount.

We are seeking a formal resolution to prevent Mapperarti from filing an adverse credit report and look forward to your response.

Response:

Mapperarti has delivered as per agreement. The agreement (attached) signed by the customer clearly states that "no publication deadline can be guaranteed" and that "exclusivity can only be guaranteed upon payment of exclusivity fee" - which was not included in the total value of the agreement, also clearly outlined on the signed agreement.

Review: As we were reading the complaint filed by another business against Mapperarti, it was almost identical to our issues. We were approached by [redacted] of Mapperarti who told us that the management at the Balboa Bay Club asked him to reach out to us to be included in their map/brochure they were putting together, and that we would be the exclusive transportati[redacted], Pres/CEO of AIS emphatically told [redacted] that we could not afford to just pay for advertising and that we would need to get transportation bookings in return. He assured us that we would be very happy with the results & that we would be calling him thanking him for all the business we were getting. This was in December, 2014. We were told the brochure would be done in January, then in February, and it was not done until March, 2015. We also received 2 maps in the mail. When almost 3 months had gone by and we had not received ANY phone calls or bookings from the Bay Club, we went into the hotel and talked to the concierge. She had no idea who we were and told us that the Club had a contract with a competitor of ours and she uses them for transportation, and if they were not available, she had a couple of independent drivers she would call. She had no intention of calling us for work, and still has not to this day. She also told us the Bay Club had their own private car they would send to the airport to pick up guests and bring them to the hotel. This was work we were anticipating getting. We were never told these 2 important facts, and therefore we feel we were misled and lied to.We have paid them $2300 and we want our money back. We tried to call and email [redacted] & he never returned our calls or responded to our emails. The only person we were able to deal with was the person in the office in charge of artwork.[redacted] never set up meetings with the hotel staff like he was supposed to & the APP was never done.Desired Settlement: We want our money back and we want Mapperarti to quit calling us and threatening us for the "last" payment. We don't know how they can scam our company and not provide anything that was promised and still have the nerve to call and threaten us for more money. Not good business

Review: In November of 2014 I was approached by [redacted] of Mapperarti. I was supposedly "chosen" and therefore invited to an exclusive, interactive advertising venture between my gallery and the concierge of the [redacted]. This would be accomplished by submitting an advertisement for the hotel's "local area map", which would then be interactive with a downloaded Mapperarti App ta[redacted] guests directly to your web site and or phone number. In addition there would be an exclusive relationship between advertisers and the concierge of the hotel that was to be accomplished with meetings and presentations. I gave a deposit of $1,040.00 with the knowledge that two more exact same payments would be due. One at proof approval, Dec 30th and the last January 20th, with the map out shortly after. The payments were taken from my chec[redacted] account, the first without my knowledge, something that was not told to me is they would be ACH payments. During all this I had emailed Mr [redacted] several times to find out about the maps, the meetings, general questions. I never received any response. The only person ever available at the office is [redacted] and she's in charge of artwork. Every time I would ask Inna about the meetings with concierge I was told that was Mr. [redacted], I would say I've emailed him and he doesn't respond. She said she would contact him as well and still nothing...Finally March 4th I did receive two maps in the mail...I tried the interactive part and their App did not work, when I contacted Mapperarti, I was told to use a different App? I also told them if I did not hear from Mr [redacted] by Friday, March 6 I was filing this complaint. I feel like I was scammed by this company. That they made promises and offers they have not kept!Desired Settlement: I would like for them to make good on what was promised! For there to be interaction between the hotel and my gallery. Also I would like my questions answered, how are people going to use the interactivity, if their App doesn't work. They took $3,120.00 in bad faith!
