It was a great experience working with Market place, negotiating and breaking the deal was quick, convincing and accurate information was provided to mePersonal guidance & consultations helped with MrEverrette *** Followups were great and productive

Hello everyone, our experience was awesomeMissBecky *** was the best Senior Loan Consultant that we ever worked withShe was very professional and prompt with all her calls, paperwork and closingThe only thing is we wish we could have meet her face to face, but due to her schedule she had closing already scheduled Miss Becky YOU ROCK and great job

I was first introduced to Matthew years back when he claimed he could get help in reducing the PMI amount on my loan taking advantage of a recent ruling to reduce the MIP percentage points
He did an exceptional job explaining everything to me and delivering on time closing
He went a step further and said he would be in touch with me to see fro deals that may allowed me to get rid of the PMI for good
Given my specific situation, this would have been very tough but Matthew managed to find a deal with my current lender and hey presto! I am excused from PMI keeping everything else same on my loan
Could not have asked for a better deal

The service that market place provides is excellent! Becky is so helpful She always took the time out to explain things to me, either via email or phone- whichever one worked best for me I highly recommend her! This is the second time I refinance with her and market place

Had the pleasure of working with Richard *** and his Assistant Nigel *** on securing a mortgage They were very professional, knowledgeable on financing and always available to assist I would highly recommend them on securing a mortgage loan

Richard *** did an excellent job for us on our refinance and truly did go the extra mile

I am a licensed Real Estate BrokerI had business with many Mortgage Brokers over the yearsThis one is the worst experience I ever had The manager Gavin *** is very dishonest person and acts very unprofessionallyHe promises all kind of deals, but then just ignores and neglects youAfter month (!) of promises ,hundreds of pages of personal info, hours on the phone with way calls still no result and money lossAll I needed a refinanceAnd when I needed commercial loan he recommended his partner who wanted to still the money from me when he found out I had cashGavin *** is a Fraud AND PEOPLE SHOULD STAY AWAY FROM HIM

As everyone knows buying a house is stressful but thanks to Eric *** from Market Place Morgage he really helped make the process alot less stressfulWe can't thank him enough for being available to answer questions when ever we called, txt or sent an email! He won't let you down

Richard *** was amazing! Great communication, really found the mortgage I was looking for and maximized my priorities Superior, streamlined process Totally painless transaction Always available to answer my questions I give Richard and Market Place my highest recommendation

We hope that the consumer reads our response in full. We have spoken...

to [redacted] and resolved the issue. [redacted] came to us last year in the middle of a divorce. She was told by [redacted] that she would not qualify for a mortgage at this time due to the poor credit and a lack of income. She was advised by him to pay her collections and in time would have a better chance of qualifying based on her income. [redacted] asked for further assistance in guiding her through the credit restoration process. We are a mortgage company and not a credit repair company. We do not take any application fees and we are only paid when the loan closes successfully. The vast majority of companies would not extend any help in these circumstances. However, we feel we are different and trying to achieve a higher purpose and we offered to help [redacted] pro bono with little or no prospect of ever recouping the time and money that we would be spending to help [redacted]. [redacted] was assigned to help [redacted] and as a 100% commissioned employee he was basically volunteering his time to help her and outline the steps that she needed to take in order to qualify. We also in fact spent $512 with [redacted] a third party credit vendor based in [redacted] that provides credit reports and underwriting tools. They offer a Rapid Rescore process that updates credit bureaus within 48 hours of a bill being paid. We used this process because Ms [redacted]'s ex-husband was not prepared to extend his wife any more time in refinancing the marital residence as part of the divorce agreement. We sent Ms [redacted] the third party invoice and have only collected $400 to date from the client and we did not collect any advance application fees or other monies of any kind. There is only so much we can do in these circumstances. [redacted]'s scores improved by 19 points but not enough debt was paid off to qualify her based on her income for a mortgage. We understand that nobody wants to hear bad news and it may be difficult to accept but there was nothing more that [redacted] could do as the ball was in the client's court to pay off the collections.
Not everybody qualifies for a mortgage and [redacted] knew it would be an uphill battle from day one. We do not feel it is fair to post these comments and hurt a company that has helped thousands of people successfully qualify. A mortgage is a discreet matter and not something people like to discuss in the public arena of the internet. [redacted] could have reached out to management if she felt [redacted] was not responding but she did not. [redacted] was trying to rescue [redacted] and it is unfortunate that now he may be injured in the process. We have taken steps to charitably refund [redacted] her $400 in the hope it be used to pay down more collections. We wish her well and the only hope we have is that people see that at least we don't just abandon people on the first call and we attempt to be Good Samaritan's. We are suppose to be for profit like any other business but as you can see we do volunteer our valuable time in order to help people with little or no guarantee of being paid. We sincerely enjoy helping people. We offer every mortgage product on the market for people with excellent credit and we do not exclude those who do not have the best credit like so many other companies do. Occasionally we do come across people that we cannot help right away but we do not immediately abandon them like other companies and at least we try to help guide them as best we can. We hope that you can now see both sides of the circumstances and we thank you for reviewing our response.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 11, 2015/06/12) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I DO NOT EXCEPT THE RESPONSE FROM [redacted] MORTGAGE. I DID SPEAK WITH [redacted] VIA PHONE ON JUNE 2, 2015 @ 6:31 P.M.. THIS CALL LASTED 22 MINUTES AND 31 SECONDS OF WHICH I RECORDED ON MY END WHILE ON SPEAKERPHONE WITH OTHERS LISTENING TO THE CONVERSATION. IMAGINE MY SHOCK AND SURPRISE WHEN I READ THIS RESPONSE FROM [redacted] DURING OUR PHONE CONVERSATION, [redacted] ADMITTED THAT THEY SHOULD HAVE DONE THINGS DIFFERENTLY, BUT THEY THOUGHT THAT THEY COULD GET THE LOAN APPROVED. I WOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN INVOLVED WITH THEM FOR OVER 7 MONTHS IF THEY HAD TOLD ME WHAT [redacted] STATED COMING IN THE DOOR. SO,TO BEGIN:
*I NEVER WAS NEVER TOLD BY [redacted] THAT I WOULD NOT QUALIFY FOR THE LOAN.(WAS ALWAYS TOLD THEY WOULD GET IT DONE)
*NEVER ADVISED TO PAY MY COLLECTIONS( WAS TOLD TO GET A CO-SIGNER TO HELP MY INCOME TO DEBT RATIO)
*I NEVER ASKED FOR ASSISTANCE IN GUIDING ME THROUGH ANY CREDIT RESTORATION PROCESS. (HE STATED HIMSELF THEY ARE A MORTGAGE COMPANY AND A CREDIT REPAIR COMPANY.)
*THE $400 DOLLARS THAT I PAID TO THEM WAS ALL THEY ASKED ME TO PAY.(NEVER WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE $512, OR I WOULD OWE ANYTHING ELSE.)
*NEVER WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE AN UPHILL BATTLE(ALWAYS TOLD ME IT WOULD BE DONE).
SO, AS YOU CAN SEE 99% OF WHAT [redacted] HAS STATED IS NOT TRUE, THE 1% IS WE DID SPEAK ON THE PHONE AND THEY GAVE ME BACK MY "CHARITABLE REFUND". I HAVE ALL MY DOCUMENTS, SAVED TEXTS AND VOICE MESSAGES TO BACKUP MY CLAIM. AFTER BEING RUDELY IGNORED BY [redacted] I WAS TRANSFERRED [redacted] TO COMPLETE THE LOAN PROCESS, IT STARTED OFF GOOD, BUT SOON CAME THE UNANSWERED CALLS, TEXTS AND MESSAGES. 4-6 DAYS WOULD PASS [redacted] I COULD GET A RESPONSE, AND THAT WAS BECAUSE I WOULD CALL FROM A DIFFERENT NUMBER. I WAS BEING SENT CONTRACTS FOR ME AND MY SON WHO WAS MY CO-SIGNER TO SIGN AND RETURN MAKING ME BELIEVE THAT THINGS ARE PROGRESSING WELL, BEING TOLD THAT WE WERE WAITING ON THE UNDERWRITERS OR FOR AN APPRAISAL, YOU DON'T DO THIS UNLESS YOU ARE TRYING TO CLOSE ON A LOAN, AND NOT HELPING TO REPAIR SOMEONE'S CREDIT. I KEPT A COPY OF EVERYTHING. SO, IF THEY WERE ONLY TRYING TO HELP ME REBUILD MY CREDIT WHY AM I SIGNING CONTRACTS FOR A REFINANCE LOAN. MY INTENTIONS WHERE NEVER TO HURT THEIR COMPANY, BUT THEY LEFT ME NO CHOICE BUT TO CONTACT THE Revdex.com SO THAT MY VOICE COULD BE HEARD. I KEPT A PAPER TRAIL, BECAUSE I KNOW WITHOUT IT, THINGS LIKE THIS CAN HAPPEN. I TRULY DON'T APPRECIATE THE COMMENTS THAT [redacted] MADE ABOUT ME CAUSING INJURY TO [redacted], [redacted] CAUSED HIS OWN INJURY, BECAUSE ALL HE HAD TO DO WAS TELL ME IT COULD NOT BE DONE. BUT, INSTEAD HE KEPT TELLING ME THINGS LIKE ITS WITH THE UNDERWRITERS, OR WE ARE WAITING ON THE APPRAISAL, OR HE NEED UPDATED PAY STUBS AND ASSET STATEMENTS. LEADING ME TO BELIEVE IT WOULD BE DONE. SO, AGAIN IF THEY WERE NOT TRYING TO HELP ME GET THE LOAN WHY WOULD I BE TAKEN THROUGH THIS WHOLE PROCESS? SO, IN SHORT I AM THE ONE WHO WAS CRITICALLY INJURED, I LOST MY HOME AND MY BUSINESS WHICH WAS A HOME DAYCARE. I TRUSTED THEM WITH THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO ME AT THAT TIME, I WAS DESPERATE AND WAS LEAD TO BELIEVE THAT THEY COULD HELP ME. I AM TRYING TO RECOUP FROM THIS ORDEAL, BUT GOD KNOWS I HAVE LEARNED A VALUABLE LESSON. IN CLOSING I WOULD LIKE TO STATE THAT IN MY OPINION.... MARKETPLACE MORTGAGE IS NOT A TRUSTWORTHY COMPANY.

An application for mortgage financing does not guarantee mortgage financing approval. Ms. [redacted] was informed that her derogatory credit would be difficult to overcome and we attempted to assist her in every way possible. She has been provided with a full refund and we apologize that we were unable to assist her with her mortgage financing.

I worked with Becky [redacted] and she was awesome. I would recommend her to anyone. She is very knowledgeable and thorough. She made the process stress free.

My experience with Market Place Mortgage was stressful and horrible. The so called "Manager - Everett" of the company kept calling me and emailing me none stop to do business with then when I was already with a different company. He basically begged me to do business with them and promised me such a good deal. I agreed to work with them...6-8 weeks later nothing that he promised was done. He kept blaming other people and stop responding to my emails. He would respond days later. He promised a "no closing cost" to refinance my FHA loan. But towards the end he said I need to come up with $2k because I missed the deadline which wasn't my fault...they were the ones who took so long to work on my file. I was very punctual with everything they requested. They make false promises, it's a bad customer service and at the end they make you feel like they are doing you a favor. They wasted my time and did not deliver nothing that they promised. I would not do business with them and I would not recommend them to anyone. They are very nice and reassuring at the beginning but they cannot delivery. They made me wasn't time and money because I would had closed with the other company on a low interest rate. The interest rates have now gone up and now I can't do anything about it. It makes me feel very angry and disappointed that I believed what they told me. VERY VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!

Mathew from MPM Corp. provided most excellent service in coordinating my FHA refinance. In addition to great service, he resolved an issue/obstacle to my obtaining an FHA refinance. I had been working with two mortgage brokers over the few months prior to working with Mathew and both of those attempts failed due to a lien on my house title left over from a discharged bankruptcy. Matthew suggested that he could have the title company he was using confirm the debt associated with the lien was paid and hence would be able to have the lien removed from the title. Due to his proactive approach, I was able to obtain the FHA refinance and am grateful for that, as I was able to reduce my monthly payment by around $300.

WE had the pleasure of working with Gavin [redacted] to purchase our first home. The process took alittle longer than we expected but Gavin was always available to answer any questions and get what needed to be done, done ASAP. He helped us get our credit score where it needed to be before house hunting. He was very informative and we learned alot from him during this process of buying our first home.

Great service from Matthew [redacted] at Market Place Mortgage Corp. He complied with our requests in record time. Thank Matt!

My spouse and I did a loan through Market Place Mortgage Corp. and we were extremely happy with the process. The loan officer, Gavin [redacted], and his staff, were very professional and friendly to us. We initially were concerned about even getting a mortgage, but Market Place Mortgage made it happen. They even made the loan so we had little to no closing costs! We would definetely recommend Market Place Mortgage to anyone out there seeking a fair mortgage deal, wanting friendly and fair service, and the mortgage expedited as quickly and efficiently as possible. We plan on recommending Market Place Mortgage to all our friends and co-workers. Thank You, Michele [redacted]

I have been treated with quality service day in and day out. Even when there are problems, I know I can get it resolved with Richard [redacted] and Gavin [redacted]. These guys know what it is to run a good business!

I as well as several family members (my parents, and sibling), have used Marketplace Mortgage Corp. in the past for the new and re-financing of our homes. Each time we were VERY SATISFIED with the service we received from Marketplace Mortgage. I can personally speak on their attention to detail, their prompt and knowledgeable responses, their professionalism, and their diligent assistance to all of our needs. For instance, my parents had an incorrect notification listed on their credit report Matthew [redacted] personally called that creditor with my parents on the line and explained to them what they needed to do to correct the issue, that creditor tried to give Matthew a hard time, but Matthew wasn't having any of it!!! He demanded that issue be taken care of promptly... and it was!!! My parents were so very grateful to Matthew as they had tried on their own for a number of years to resolve the issue and didn't have any luck. I myself this is my 2nd time working with Marketplace, I knew to call on Matthew when the issue arose for me to re-finance. As before, after speaking with Matthew and explaining what I wanted done the ball started rolling right away! I worked with Jess [redacted] this time to complete my re-fi, it was just like working with Matthew, Jess was on his job!! Obtaining the proper paperwork, answering my questions, making phones calls on my behalf, double-checking numbers, requesting and forwarding all necessary items, and keeping me abreast every step of the way! We have been and are still VERY SATISFIED with Marketplace Mortgage and if the need arises again, THEY WILL BE GETTING OUR PHONE CALL!!
