Scammers

REFUSES to stop calling me every single day, insanely annoying, I have asked thousands of times to be taken off their calling list and have been told

Fraudulent sales and harassment practices
This bunch calles my phone muliple times a day and is spoofing local government and business phone numbers to get passed my phone blocker. I've ask to be removed from their call list to no avail. I do not need nor want their vehicle extended warranty. The persons I've spoke with have told me their names were Christian *** and a female named Vanessa. They insist I pay them $495. up front with a credit card and that my car repairs will break me if I don't. My car is brand new and still has a manufacture warranty for 4 more years. They lie and say that it has expired. The number they gave me was XXX-XXX-XXXX. I am a busy person and cannot get my daily work finished for them constantly ringing my phone from fake/spoofed numbers. I would like to this outfit investigated and shut down. They are preying on the public in a most outrageous way.

Desired Outcome

I want my number to be removed from their calling list. No more harassing calls from spoofed local numbers. Honor the phone blocking actions of the public. To be put out of business.

Matrix does not make outbound calls. Matrix does not solicit or harass consumers. Matrix is an administrative claims company and does not directly market to consumers. Matrix does not condone telemarketing or any other forms of harassment. It is possible this consumer is confused. The number the customer provided is to another company called Matrix Insurance and Benefits Solutions and Matrix Wealth Management. We do not have any affiliation with either of those companies. Matrix asks the Revdex.com to close out this complaint as erroneous.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
If "Matrix does not directly market to consumers", then can you please explain this: https://www.matrixprotection.com/vehicle-plan.html

This web address is for Matrix and it offers plans and car warranty services on the Home page.

Along with their contact information, warranty plans, and a free price quote and to brag about how the have a Revdex.com A+ rating...
?

Matrix Warranty Solutions Response • Mar 22, 2019

The customer never mentioned our web page in their original post. The only information we have to go on is the telephone number they provided which was to a different Matrix company altogether. Matrix doesn't make outbound calls. Matrix certainly doesn't want consumers to be harassed. Matrix is willing to reach out to the company making the calls to get them to stop but would need more information from the customer on who is actually calling them.

Customer Response • Mar 25, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I have given you the information. "I never mentioned your web page in my orig. post" - Well, you have it now. And as for the phone number not being yours, neither is our local Sheriffs Dept., Public Schools and County Hospital's but that sure didn't seem to impair you from spoofing them in order to trick me into answering the phone. The web address I've given is the one provided as verification that the caller/product warranty was legit.
You stated in your first response that "Matrix is an administrative claims company and does not directly market to consumers." Yet your webpage shows that you do market directly to consumers. So now you say that you don't make "outbound calls" - is this statement too suppose to be believed? You also stated that you do "not solicit or harass consumers", well I beg to differ - your marketing department has harassed me for over two years now! I'm not accepting your generic response as others have because they alone prove that what you say and what you do does not agree... And as for your offer to reach out to another Matrix company that you say might instead be the real culprit and try to get them to stop calling - you are not fooling anyone here. It's your company and you know it is... The fake number given to me was an obvious scam by your rep. I could tell the moment he said it because he fumbled through the digits as though he was searching.
Your company has far too many similar complaints from the public and the Revdex.com does need to step in here.

Scammers! Full of fast talking sales p ppl l just trying t ok take your $ with no documentation or proof of what he is trying to sell! Just say NO!

Constant phone harrassment after request to be placed on do not call list.
I have requested via the automated version and by phone to be removed from the company's calling list. The automated request does not get processed. When you speak to a human, the moment you tell them you want to be removed they just hang up. You cannot talk to a supervisor. I stayed on the line and had a conversation for 7 minutes about my vehicle then politely said I was not interested in the coverage and asked to be removed from the list. Again a hang up. There is no apparent attempt by this company to remove you from their calling list. I get at least 10 phone calls a week.

Desired Outcome

Removal from their calling list an no further contact.

Matrix does not make telemarketing calls. Matrix does not own any telemarketing call centers. Matrix does not solicit or harass consumers. Matrix is an administrative claims company and does not directly market to consumers. Matrix does not condone telemarketing or any other forms of harassment. Without knowing the name of the company making the calls, Matrix will circulate the consumer's phone number to the independent affiliates and make sure they remove the number from any and all call lists.

I signed a contract with Protech VSC on July 26,2018 for a Vehicle Service Contract. The car was totaled on August 28, 2018. I called Protech VSC on August 29, 2018 to report the car totaled. They demanded Total Loss paperwork. I sent the paperwork in September. I called on October 17,2018 and cancelled the automatic deductions since $124.27 was deducted from my bank account on October 9, 2018.They told me that they hadn't received my Total Loss paperwork. I sent it again in October.I thought that the matter was taken care of in October. In December I saw that other automatic payments of $124.27 were taken in November and December. I filed a Stop Payment Authorization on December 18,2018 at my bank. I also sent the Total Loss Paperwork a third time on December 20,2018, I sent it Certified Mail. I have the Postal Service postcard signed by Protech VSC on delivery.Protech VSC took $497.08 in automated payments for a Service Contract on a car that was totaled. That's payments in Sept, Oct, Nov, and Dec.I expect a refund of $248.54 since I received two chargebacks from my bank.

Desired Outcome

Other (requires explanation) Protevh VSC has cancelled my contract "because Mepco has not received my payment."I attempted to cancel this contract because the car was a total loss on August 28,2018 three times. i would like to have Protech change the official reason for cancellation. I also expect a refund of $248.54.

Matrix Warranty Solutions Response • Feb 05, 2019

This is the first time Matrix is being alerted to this issue. Matrix is taking immediate action and will reach out to Protech VSC and have them refund the payments that were taken after your request for cancellation. We will be in touch shortly with confirmation.

Customer Response • Feb 11, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I was told that I would not be getting any money back on the phone. I believe that this company received my Total Loss Paperwork but would not acknowledge it so that they could collect more money. My car was totaled on August 28,2018. I called the next day and sent the Total Loss Paperwork the first week in September. I sent it again on October 17,2018 after I had called them and they said that they had not received it. I sent Total Loss Paperwork again on December 20,2018 Certified Mail. I also had to cancel my debit card on December 18,2018 because they kept taking payments.

Matrix Warranty Solutions Response • Feb 13, 2019

Matrix received this response in regards to the customer's claims. We received customer's total loss paperwork as of December 18th. This was not cancelled due to nonpayment. However, there is no refund due, as the customer charged back 3 of her payments. I cancelled the policy as of December 18th. She had the policy for 145 days. Customer is mad because there is no refund due. We had offered her the 94.83 as a refund, however, she refused because she wanted a full refund. She was given her refund through her bank when she charged back her payments. Initially, she requested a refund of everything she paid in, including the amounts she had already been credited by her bank. When we advised her that she had already received funds from her bank, then she began asking for the rest of the money she paid. Per her contract, the refund is prorated, and subject to a 75 dollar cancellation fee. She did not want to abide by the contract terms. Matrix asks Revdex.com to close this case out due to this information.

Customer Response • Feb 17, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I received $248.54 from my bank, this is two charge backs. Matrix owes me $248.54, the other two payments that they took from me after I sent in my Total Loss Paperwork. They did not acknowledge receiving it until I sent it Certified Mail in December. My car was totaled on August 28, 2018. They should not have continued collecting payments from my bank account on a totaled car. Even if they take a $75 cancellation fee, they still owe me $173.54.

On do not call list but VRU keeps calling and have asked to be removed - have asked six times and still call

Desired Outcome

Quit calling and Revdex.com should down grade

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
They are hiring marketing companies to push their product and do not know which marketing company is doing this. They told me they can not tell me who the company is. They are paying for the marketing and are responsible for the actions of subcontractors.

Matrix Warranty Solutions Response • Feb 11, 2019

Matrix does not make telemarketing calls. There are numerous marketing companies that sell many programs one of which might be Matrix. There are also marketing companies that might use the Matrix name but are unauthorized to sell our program and then sell another product. Without more information on the actual company this consumer spoke to, Matrix cannot take the necessary steps to resolve the issue. Matrix asks the consumer provide more information so we can help with his request.

I got a call 1-23-19 from a fast talking salesman from Element Protection Plans. He was trying to sell me a warranty plan. He was really pushy. I have already been scammed once before from a warranty company call American Auto Shield aka America Auto Care so I was very cautious. He kept telling me that Element Protection Plans has a A+ rating with the Revdex.com so I went on Revdex.com website and looked them up. When I typed in Element Protection Plans it brought up Matriz Solutions which has a F rating with the Revdex.com and a lot of terrible reviews. I then asked the salesman if Element Protection Plans was affiliated with Matriz Solutions he told me no. I then asked him what was the address to Element Protection Plans he told me 3100 McKinnon Street Dallas Texas which is the same address that is listed for Matrix Solutions on the Revdex.com. I confronted him with my findings he then tells me that they are affiliated with Matrix Solutions and then quickly changed the subject and goes to talking about everything the Protection plan offered and what a great deal it was. When he realized I had caught onto his lies he then wanted to get off the phone. When this guy called me he originally wanted me to pay $400 and $324 a month before I got off the phone with this guy he dropped it down to $99 down payment and $149 a month. He was constantly asking me for my cc number. Bottom line do not trust these people they are scammers and not trustworthy. They will tell you that you have to pay before they will send you anything in writing I'm sorry but I was always told you read the contract before agreeing to it and buying. This company needs to be put out of business. They scam people out of their hard earned money.

+1

I was call and almost took the bait yesterday 1.9.19. Rat poison!!! They want fools. they like rugs. I have been beaten so much I said not today because it sounded too much to be true! Then, when the rep said the " College of Automotive Management" endorsed them, I had to look at the website....... Also, I had to do more research and was led to the Revdex.com. Thank God!!!! and thanks to all that took the time to uncover this rat!

They continue to call my cell even after I told them many times I no longer own the vehicle. They are calling on a cell number that is on the DNC list
Even though the company is out of Texas they call me from a robo # that shows my local area. I have sold the vehicle that they call me about around 3 years ago. They are calling me on a do not contact number.

Desired Outcome

I've asked more than once to be taken off their call list and they continue to call me. I just want to be removed from their list

Matrix does not own any telemarketing call centers. Matrix does not solicit or harass consumers. Matrix is an administrative claims company and does not directly market to consumers. Matrix does not condone telemarketing or any other forms of harassment. Without more information on the actual call center who made the calls, Matrix cannot take further action.

SCAM. Run from this company they have robo calls when you start asking they hang up. When you call them it is given the run around

I received a text message and ended up with Matrix Warranty Solutions via another company called Vehicle Service Center (rated F on Revdex.com) whiuch was via another company called Element Protection Plan which boasts a A+ rating on Revdex.com however, when this is selected it takes you to the Matrix Warranty Solutions Revdex.com rating which shows only that the rating is under review. Very fishy so when I called to find out what is what the rep, someone one named Clarence, was less than cooperative, a fast talking salesman who tried to have me pay a downpayment before anything would be sent to me in writing. When I said this would not work he abruptly said "have fun at the service desk" and hung up. Really, really fishy!!!!!

Makes unsolicited robocalls calls to numbers on the DNC list

I don't trust this company at all. I received a call saying that this was my final notice to get an extended warranty on my car. They said they had mailed me two pieces of information and I had to make a $3000 decision now. The first person I spoke to said that I should have received a 24 page packet which I had not received. They kept trying to sell me a warranty but would not explain why would not qualify for a better warranty. I was told that this particular warranty was what I qualified for because of my mileage and state of residence even though I should have qualified for a better warranty according to the mileage on my car. I asked to speak to a manager who would not explain why I did not receive anything in the mail and would not explain why I did not qualify for the better warranty. He kept telling me that I needed to pay a down payment and then I would receive the information on my warranty. I told him that I wanted the information first so I could make an informed decision. He kept telling me that this is not how it worked and he eventually hung up on me.

I am filing this complaint on behalf of my mom who has Alzheimer's disease. I am her durable power of attorney. This company will not stop calling my mom and selling her auto warranties. In Febuary of 2018 I called them, got them to refund my mom and asked them to stop contacting her. On 8/21/18 they called her again, sold her another warranty, took her checking and routing numbers over the phone. When I called them the second time they said the refund will take 90 days and that they cannot delete her contact information. My mom should have the right to protect her contact information. She should have the right to remove her contact information from solicitors data banks. Matrix promised not to contact her again, and they broke that promise.
Product_Or_Service: Auto warranty
Account_Number: EleexXXXXXXX

Desired Outcome

Other (requires explanation) Do not contact her ever again. Delete her contact information. Delete her financial information including checking and routing numbers permanently. Do not share her contact or financial information. Promptly refund her in full.

I bought the Ultimate Saver from a nice kid 2 months back. He was persistent and talked me into doing the downpayment to get the plan started. Sure enough, he was right. Last week my Cadillac's power steering went down. Dealer wanted me to pay $1200 to get it running. So, I skeptically said lets give it a go. My repair specialist got the cost down below $800 and they picked up a little over a third of it! I guess the persistent kid was right. Great product . Great investment. Thanks!

Matrix Warranty Solutions Response • Sep 18, 2018

The Ultimate Saver is a great program. Thank you for sharing your positive experience with us!

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Not sure how they have a A+

Monday I called and was on hold for 1/2 hour some one named Justin came on the line said he could not hear me and hung up. I called back and was on hold for another 1/2 hour. Lady came on and said we would get a call later that day to get someone to come out to look at our fridge.
Tuesday called in the afternoon and was told they are working on sending someone out. Got a call back and the the person said just was checking we still need someone(eye roll) said that they would send someone on the next day
Wednesday called in the afternoon to figure out what the *** was going on since we had not heard a thing was on hold for over a hour and then the message came on saying you are closed and to leave a message. I left one asking for a call back
Thursday(today) NO CALL no Show of any kind. I am beyond ***. I thought about calling but I didn't want to waste my time when you guys are not willing to help us.

Matrix Warranty Solutions Response • Sep 17, 2018

Hi *** We apologize about your experience with us. That is unacceptable and not the reputation we want to have. I will have one of our managers reach out immediately and get to the bottom of this. We will make this right!

Illegal, habitual use of automated telephone dialing systems for the purpose of solicitation.
I should begin by saying that I am a consumer advocate by trade, and as such, am very familiar with the laws governing the use of automatic telephone dialing systems and predictive dialers. That said, I received a call from an autodialer today that was answered by a woman who barely spoke english, that ultimately transferred me to a "John Gordon" (I suspect that is a pseudonym, but I'm not sure.) After being pitched on a warranty for a car that I no longer even own by Mr. Gordon, I pointed out to him that I was on the Do Not Call Registry, and that I was aware that unsolicited autodialed calls were in direct violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. He quickly became dismissive, and denied that there was any many of violation. However, as it were, I have spent the last five years aggressively pursuing these kinds of callers, with significant success. I know that this company utilizes the "we didn't make the call, it was a marketing company" defense, but that defense is woefully flawed. I would very much like to share information with ***, the company's CEO.

Desired Outcome

I will accept no other resolution beyond direct contact from Mr., and/or corporate counsel, preferably by email.

I finally took the bait after what others have reported in regards to multiple calls per day. I was told that the policy would cover me for 4 years and the total cost of the plan was $852.00. They also stated I had 30 days to look over the plan from the date of the call and my down payment would be refunded. After 7 days of not receiving plan details in writing, I went to their website. After reading through the information it was made clear that besides my deductible, the $852.00 would be charged yearly.
I would think this was a misunderstanding on my part IF I had not directly asked the question to the representative regarding the total cost of the plan for the entirety of the 4 years or 161,000 miles and her response was $852.00.

"Dustin" - a robocaller who wants you to think it's a real human being - has been calling me for the last two weeks, every day. Despite hanging up, they persist. So, today, during my lunch hour, sitting at my desk, I decided to listen to whoever it was they were going to have me speak to...turns out, it was a woman named Corrinne, who sounded quite young and as though she was among 300 other callers in a boiler room. Corrinne took me through all the "benefits," claimed there was no deductible, that my car could be fixed anywhere, that it included maintenance on my car...I was waiting for her to tell me that it also cured the common cold!

Corrinne wanted $2175, including $295 today to be charged to my credit card. She couldn't recite or provide the language on the contract without the down payment. She couldn't tell me exactly where the company was located; she said Nevada, and Florida. When I asked her why the website said Dallas, she said that they were a national office and she couldn't be expected to know where all their offices were!

She referred me to a website "http://www.elementprotectionplans.com" which is connected to Matrix. To its credit, the site does include several plans, but Corrinne couldn't tell me specifically which related to the offer she was making to me.

I asked if they had a trial period, and she said 30 days...but that I would have to pay first, and then ask for my money back...I asked her how I could get "Dustin" to stop calling my phone (impossible to block, because they spoof phone numbers), and she told me that I could buy their vehicle protection policy.

I think I'll pass on that opportunity!

Constant calls several times a month. Will not put me on no call list. Want money up front without providing information first.
These people will not take no for an answer. They call several times a month telling me this is my last chance to get this coverage. I ask to be put on the no call list or please let this be my last chance and never call again. I try to get more information and something up front to review be for giving them $400.00 and they give me the run around saying they can't it is not corparate policy. I have been getting these calls for several years now and they just will not stop!!!! I can't believe that they have an A+ rating from The Revdex.com? I have to assume that they created to get this high of a ratings.

Desired Outcome

PLEASE GET THEM TO STOP CALLING AND HONOR THE NO CALL LIST!!!!!!! Please

If Matrix Warranty Solutions does not operate any tellamarketing call centers I would suggest that they do an investigation of who is doing this using their name. As I said I receive several calls a month and have for over a year. When I ask what company they represent they tell me it is Matrix Warranty Solutions. The person I talked to last said his name was Dan and I asked him where he was located or the company was located and he said they were in Texas. In fact the very same day I received a call from this person named Dan I received a call a few hours later from someone else from the same company wanting to sell me an extended warranty on my eleven year old car. If this is not Matrix Warranty Solutions doing this I would suggest they find out who it is and get them to stop using their name.
