Millennium Honda Reviews (46)

I wrote a complaint about Millennium Honda three weeks ago since that time Greg A[redacted], Asst Manager, contacted me and was extremely helpful and more than resolved my problem with a recall on safety belts by Honda. He is a man of his word and more so....a great manager and person. I suggest anyone who has a problem with the maintenance dept. talk to or deal with him directly.

Michael H[redacted]

Review: On June [redacted] 2013, I purhased a vehicle from Millenium Honda, a preowned 2007 Nissan Altima. The very next day not even 24 hours later I get a flat tire, I called Millenium and informed them of the above, however I was given the run around and the manager [redacted] that I spoke with even suggested it was my fault that I hit something that made the tire go flat, either way I was given a 1800 number to call and the person over the phone informed me I would have to pay $64.00, due to not being fully covered (I purchased warranty the day before) repeated calls ended in my car getting towed back to the dealership and them giving me a new tire, because the one that had got the flat was a bad tire which had a plug in it as the tow truck driver lifted the car and it was clearly visible. Three weeks later I did not receive my warranty so I called the number on my form the person on the phone named [redacted] informed me that Millenium had sent the paperwork on the [redacted] of June so I would receive it in 30 days, I had still not received my registration sticker either, I called DMV call center and spoke to a lady that informed me that again Millenium did not process it until July [redacted] that is nearly a month after my purchase. I brought to the attention to the managers as well a sound that the car makes when idle and I turn it on that revs and RPM go up and down for about 50 seconds, my car manual which was not in the car and the caps that hold the under car cover in tact were not in/on the car. On June [redacted] my car was taken to be serviced however it is July [redacted] and none of these matters have been resolved. Also all the carbon copies I received on the date of purchase have DEALER COPY. On July [redacted] I was pulled over for not having my permanent registration sticker, although I did not receive a ticket the Police Officer stated I would receive one the next time being that the temporary sticker expired July [redacted]. Millenium Honda has given me poor customer service and I would like to be helped in any way possible.Desired Settlement: I want my permanent registration sticker, car manual, my warranty manual, and all car issues resolved, although I do not want to return to Millenium Honda to have the car serviced I would like to know what other dealership can handle the situation.

[redacted] bought the car on June [redacted]. The next day she got a flat tire. We give every customer a free year of oil changes and roadside assistance with each purchase. It takes about a month for the roadside to go into effect and the customer know that. so she could not tow the car using roadside since it has not gone into effect. She called and spoke to [redacted] who told me about her flat. My answer was "give her a new tire". It took [redacted] a little over 10 minutes to get the approval from me. She wanted an explanation of how "is it possible that a car I bought yesterday got a flat tire". [redacted] explained to her that although she bought it yesterday it does not mean that she wont get a flat tire. The car was used but even when a car is new the customer may run over a nail or hit a pot hole. These things happen. she was not happy with his answer. She brought the car in and we replaced the tire. Her paperwork was processed on June [redacted] 2013 ( I can provide the transmittal) and her registration was mailed out to her on July [redacted]. She should have gotten it July [redacted] maybe the [redacted] at the latest. the service manual was ordered and we should have it soon. The warranty usually takes 4 to 6 weeks to be process and the warranty paperwork will be mailed. As far as the mechanical problem with the car, she came in and spoke to [redacted] ([redacted]). He went outside with her but she could not duplicate the problem. She told [redacted] that it only happens when the car is cold. [redacted] explained to her that it is normal for a car to idle a little higher for about a minute and then go down to normal. But to make sure we put the car through the shop and tested the idle. It was working normal. She took the car home but called back the next day saying that the car had the same problem. [redacted], the service manager told her to bring the car back in but she never brought it back.

Thanks

Review: The Honda mechanics diagnosed an oil leak in my car. They stated it was the crank seals which they repaired. My car is never stopped leaking oil, so I paid honda to misdiagnose my car. Now they are stating the problem is oil pan gasket and O ring on the oil pump. When they open up the oil pan the first time to complete the initial work they should have noticed the damaged O ring the oil pump but they didn't and since they did not seal the oil pan gasket correctly when they completed the initial work, the oil pan is still leaking. Now, I have pay again for the say oil leak. and an oil pan that wasn't sealed correctly after their work. .Desired Settlement: I would like a partial refund of $200 on the repairs they completed that was misdiagnosed.

Response:

The Vehicle had multiple oil leaks from the timing belt side of engine. Due to the large volumeof oil/sludge on the side of the engine, the entire side needed to be degreasedbefore proceeding with oil leak diagnosis. It was determined that the camshaft oil seal and the crankshaft oil sealwere the major source of the oil leaks. Due to year and mileage of the vehiclea timing belt replacement was recommended which overlaps the labor charges torepair the oil leaks resulting in a discounted rate. The timing belt alsoshowed signs of degradation from contact with motor oil from the leak. Thetechnician replaced the timing belt and water pump and the camshaft andcrankshaft oil seals. The oil leak portion of the parts & labor chargestotal approximately $400.00. The vehicle was tested for leaks after repairswere made and no leaks evident. The vehicle returned with a customer concern of oil leaking. Unable to pinpoint source ofadditional oil leaks, leak check fluorescent dye was added to crankcase to helppinpoint leak. It was noted that oil pangasket and oil pump o-ring were also leaking. Customer declined repairs. The situation was reviewed by service advisor/ service manager/service director anddecision was made to complete the remaining repairs at no charge to customer.Oil pan gasket and oil pump seal were replaced, (RETAIL PRICE $ 932.07 + TAX).The vehicle was leak tested after repairs and no leaks present. As you can see Millennium Honda has gone above and beyond to ensure that [redacted] is satisfied. We repaired the car and did not charge her the $932.07. We will gladly re-inspect the vehicle to ensure all oil leaks have been repaired.I hope you agree that we have acted in good faith and took care of our value customerthanks[redacted]

Review: We are trying to cancel $5900 worth of blatantly over-charged warranties, that I was trapped into signing for because [redacted] in Finance told me I "had" to take them out in order to get an APR of 4.99% which later I realized she cannot do. The lenders APR and extended warranties have nothing to do with one another. It appears on the Bill of Sale as a $2900 CCC extended warranty for 6 yr 75k miles, and an additional $3000 which is not specified as to what it is, but we were told it's for a tire & wheel warranty, etching warranty, and a theft reimbursement warranty. Again, we want all this cancelled Immediately. Per NYS Attorney General, we legally have 10 days to cancel these warranties.

We have requested these warranties be cancelled. We first told [redacted] in Finance to cancel them on Saturday 9/**/14, and then told [redacted] to Cancel on Sunday 9/**/14, and then told [redacted] to cancel them last night, Monday 9/**/14.

They are trying to tell is if we cancel we will then be given a higher APR of 10.99%. This should not be the case, because again, one has nothing to do with the other.

[redacted]s comment was he think it might have been a "structured deal"? But the negotiated price on the vehicle and trade-in had absolutely nothing to do with the financing. We have the printout of the agreed price minus trade-in plus tax and DMV fees, given to us on Friday evening 9/26/14. There is nothing there that says anything about being subject to inflated APR financing, which would be ridiculous. In fact, on Friday evening, our Sales Rep [redacted] and [redacted] showed us a chart for Honda Financial that I would be given a 6% rate with my credit score, but that they would work hard to get a better rate for me, from other banks.

And the price of $22,900 for a 2015 Honda Accord Sport with zero options is not an exceptional deal and perfectly in line with what other dealers will sell the vehicle for, based on other quotes and general knowledge. And we actually went there specifically to purchase a white 2014 Accord Sport, because [redacted] assured us, after two phone calls to verify, that they had one on the lot that we could take home that day. She also said they would match the price of $21,700 we were given at Atlantic Honda. We immediately drove there only to be told hours later, that not only was it not on the lot and in storage, but it wasn't a 2014 but a 2015. So the price then went up to $22,900. So we actually wound up paying more than we were supposed to. Additionally, the trade-in of $1500 for our 2007 Ford Focus SES, if anything, was low. There was definitely no special or "structured deal."

So again, we simply want the warranties cancelled and refunded, and the Lenders APR of 4.99 to stay the same.

Thank you very much, [redacted]Desired Settlement: We simply want the warranties cancelled and refunded, and the Lenders APR of 4.99 to stay the same.

Also note, I would have never taken out those warranties if I wasn't told I had to:

1.) I had a printout with me of genuine HondaCare Warranties I can purchase online From [redacted] at Hyannis Honda where I can get 6 yr 120k miles with $0 deductible for $900. Tried to show this to [redacted] and she said it doesn't matter, you have to take these. Obviously I would never choose to pay $2900 for an inferior warranty over $900 for a superior warranty.

2.) Her warranty for 6yrs 75k miles is almost completely useless because I drive 25k miles/year, so it would expire when the 3 yr factory warranty expires. This can be proven by my work and home addresses.

3.) I don't think anyone in their right mind would pay $3000 for the additional tire/wheel and etching coverage.

This is to prove she told me I had to take those warranties, which I later found out was Illegal of her to do. Her argument is/was my rate would otherwise be so high that my payment would actually be higher without those warranties.

Thanks again for your time.

Good afternoon...

Yesterday, I received a message from [redacted] stating that she wanted to speak with me regarding her vehicle purchase. I called her back around 5pm. She explained her dilemma. I told her, that she did not have to buy any products in order to get approved for financing. I asked her to come down to cancel any and/or any of the products that she purchased. She said that she could not come back yesterday but that she was going to come in today, Sept [redacted] after work. I explained that even if she was running late, I would wait for her as it is the end of the month and I usually stay late anyway. She asked if she was able to cancel all the products that she purchased and still keep the rate. I told her that she could cancel all the products. When I researched her deal on dealertrack while on the phone with her, I noticed that the deal had been turned down by almost every bank. I went on to explain that I did not have her deal in my office so I did not know all the particulars of the approval. I told her as long as the deal was not a "structured" deal she could cancel everything. I explained what a structure deal was and she said that it wasnt the case. Today, I pulled the folder from the office and was waiting for her to come in today after 7 pm.

Instead, I received the same email you received. I was surprise. I had already spoken to her and agreed that she was going to be able to cancel everything. I called the number on the email but the voice mail was for someone name [redacted]. Even though the email I received was supposedly from [redacted] I replied back to [redacted] and this is what I wrote..... """Hi. Everything that you are writing in this email was confirmed with [redacted] yesterday. She is coming here today to cancel the warranty. Thanks [redacted]"""

Yesterday, after I finished the conversation with [redacted] I received a phone call from [redacted]. I explained to the [redacted] that I could not speak with [redacted] regarding [redacted]'s deal. He requested my email address. Based on the conversation with [redacted] and my assurance that she was going to be able to cancel everything it is left to reason that she wasnt the one to write the complaint and the email.

In short, I am just waiting for [redacted] to come in. If I can be of further assistance please dont hesitate to contact me via email at [redacted] or by phone at ###-###-####

thank you

Review: I leased a vehicle from said business, and `i used a trade in vehicle. The financing part was not transparent. The finance employee who processed the lease lied to me about my credit score saying it was too low for the best lease terms 680 (It's actually over 750 according to [redacted]). Extended the lease terms to keep payment low. To make up for the difference he said, he was going to give me free maintenance for two years (I found out later he actually charged me for it and rolled into the gross capitalized cost of the vehicle.

I called the finance person several times after I received the paperwork, he never called back. After several calls, I got someone to agree to mail me an itemized gross capitalized cost of the vehicle to figure out what else was tacked on (never received it)

Went to dealer, first they tell me the finance person (Marlin) conveniently no longer works there, and the prepaid maintenance plan is not refundable. When I show them the contract that says it is, they then say it will be prorated and will only get back $520 out of the original $770. I never used the plan, and only had it for 5 months.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the entire amount of the prepaid maintenance plan that I never wanted, didn't know I had paid for and never used!

I would like an itemized gross capitalization cost of the vehicle which I asked for several times and never got.

Good morning... This was brought to me and we agreed to refund the full amount. I am not sure who refunded only $520.00 but I will look into it and make sure that a full refund is issued in the amount of $770.00. I did look through his file and the credit score is 673 I did not want to attach it for privacy reason. I will handle it today.thank you and our apologies for any problems this may have causedRavel M[redacted]General Manager

Review: I was told that the bank wouldn't approve my car loan unless I purchased all types of vehicle warranties. Which I called Honda finance and they told me it was not true. I traded in a car that was worth $22,000 the new car was worth $21.000 which I told the financial manager to take $6000.00 and the rest I wanted it back. The price of the Honda went up in price almost double in price. Even a specialist from Honda customer care said that was not right. I went to the dealer and spoke to the financial manager and he said they won't credit none of the money I gave them.Desired Settlement: I don't want any warranties I want the money they took and credit my loan or give it back to me I feel I was lied to.
