I am rejecting this response because:I was put in the daily subscription, not by choiceI had paid for Friday thru Monday service for a yearWithout notice they discontinue the Monday paperAnd the only way to rectify it was to give me the daily which was not what I wantedI wanted the Friday thru MondayAnd they told me I would no longer receive the Monday portion of the paperThey did not honor their side of the agreed contract made in JulyAnd they figured I could settle for thisI do not look at the papers Tuesday through ThursdayI throw them away at workI don't have time to read them

Customer account has been cleared and left at a zero balance as a one time courtesy however on all of our renewal notices it state, "that The Bee does need to be notified for cancellation of service." We will remove your account from any collection list and notify *** *** is a non

This account expired on 12/27/Prior to the expiration date, The Bee sent out a first renewal on 12/16/A second renewal notice was sent on 2/3/A thrid notice was sent on 3/9/Then, the account was stopped on 3/16/The Bee does not stop subscriber accounts automaticallyThe Bee
allows a grace period to make a renewal paymentAll notices state, "The paper will continue unless The Bee is notified otherwise." As a long time subscriber, we allow this grace period so there is no interruption in serviceLooking back on *** *** account, there was a payment made on 9/16/15, which was months later than the expiration date of 7/14/With the grace period, *** *** was able to continue receiving the paper during this grace periodIt appears in this case, *** *** did not want to continue the service after the 12/27/expiration dateHowever, The Bee did not receive notification to cancel the serviveAt this time, we have cleared the balance and there will be no further notifications to collect a back balance. I am rejecting this response because:i never told them to continue the service.I told them to cancel the service becuase the newspaper wasnt coming every day.the lady ms *** told me a check was going to come in about 2-weeks.here is what she told me.dated dec -2015.I dont know why they keep saying I wanted to continue the service.I spent about $and they send me the sunday paper(if i'm lucky) and weekday paper rarely comes. Customer started the subscription 6/1/14. It was a Sunday only subscription. There was a payment for 10 weeks. The account expired 7/27/14. The Modesto Bee does not stop a subscription automatically on the expiration date. We allow a 90 grace period to make the renewal payment. Prior to the...

expiration date, we send out a first renewal. In this case, it was sent on 7/9/14. A second notice was sent on 9/3/14 before stopping on 10/18/14. All renewal notices state, "The paper will continue unless The Bee is notified otherwise." Our records do not show any notes or messsages regarding the continuation of the delivery by the customer. It also does not show any documentation of a phone call from a lady contacting the customer. We understand Mr. [redacted] did not want to continue the service and he thought the account would be stopped. As of today, the account will be cleared on any balance. If Mr. [redacted] would like to restart the service in the future, please be advised that the subscription will not be stoppped automatically unless The Bee is notified.Please feel free to contact The Modesto Beenif you have any further questions or concerns.Thank you

2nd attempt to contact customer at ([redacted] and ([redacted] as per customer request with no success and left a voicemails for follow up. Customer contacted [redacted] at 11 am and the return phone call was made at 12:00 pm.
