Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business...

in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I was not told that the cancellation fee would be $125, the service guy lied to me that he was going to do the service I signed the paper before he started the job and then I went back inside the house to speak to my landlord to confirm what he said, next thing I do is step back outside and he's driving off. That was my mistake I trusted him that he would do the job to spray the area and he didn't he drove off. He lied and told me that my landlord was going to just let him spray the bee area on the roof.  Here is the attached paper I signed. I have my family as a witness and my neighbor who saw him drive off.

Please inform him to have his attorney contact me forthwith before fees are accrued in obtaining medical documents, time lost from work for said same document retrieval, Court filing fees and etc. and all this all over a current $100 difference of opinion. I still have bees and it's pretty slick and disrespectful  of a business to take off with $499. for ten minutes of so-called work based upon the taking advantage of a elderly 84 year old woman currently seeing Physician over Alzheimers. See you in court and I'll be sure to file a Revocation Complaint with the [redacted]. This will all be accelerating damages accruing against [redacted].

TERRIBLE COMPANY. Turned a phone quote of $200 into a $1300 job after they had already started. Left my parents feeling trapped in signing the agreement right away before their house 'started to leak honey from the walls'

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. It is a false statement there were "over 20,000" bees, the technician stated they/it had been in the wall maybe a week.  The section of wall cut out was four times the size of the hive, and was cut into a section of wall that did not even have an active hive to be exterminated; the technician stated it was an old small exterminated hive that had been in the wall at least five years. The "invoice" was signed to authorize the work, the amount was added later of $1195 rather than $700 to "exterminate the bees and remove the hive". The first time the total amount charged was disclosed was when it appeared on the Paypal screen.   The technician said there was a contractor who came by afterward to repair the hole in the wall, after they swiped my card I found out there was an additional fee to repair the wall. The technician then said the contractor would cover the hole for no cost, which was not the contractor's understanding. I paid the bill because it was the invoice. I have a 1 year guarantee on the "signed" invoice for one year "if honeycomb is present and is removed - 1year". I called the company three times as bees were present in a cluster the next day. They did not respond to any of my communications, I am curious how words will be twisted to explain this behavior. I can also email a copy of the same invoice with their guarantee and signature they did not honor. I had to have another party repair not only the section involved with the bees to be exterminated, but the additional section which had to be repaired. I was left with a 1.5x4ft section open hole in the parapet wall I have a digital picture of.  At this point my request is honored or the only option is to post a comment on the Revdex.com to warn other consumers; the complaint was a chance to make it good first. This is a sad way of doing business to acquire money. As an afterthought, maybe the technician decided to cut into an additional section of wall as there were not even "20,000" bees to be exterminated!Regards,[redacted]

I usually read reviews before I contract anyone but was in a hurry. Contacted Mountain View Pest Control and they promptly responded. I asked for a quote before they started work and was told they first had to assess the problem and then let me know. the guy put on his bee suit and starting spraying some kind of white powder on where the bees were entering the house. After about a minute he comes over to me and tells me it will be $495 to kill the bees and $950 to open the ceiling and remove the honey comb. I balked at the price and said I needed to get a couple more quotes before I would decide. He said that he had already treated the nest and killed the bees so I already owed him the $495.00 To make a long story short, I refused to pay him anything because I had asked for and was expecting a quote up front. Instead they tried to shake me down and strong arm me into paying for something I never agreed to. It's clear these guys use this tactic all the time which is a deceptive, disgusting, and unethical practice. After a bit of discussion, he said he would take $95.00 which I finally agreed to pay just to get these guys off my property.

Dishonest company and poor work leaving family in danger when they claim all the bees were dead. Removed the wall and found 1000's of bee alive and well!!! Called the company back several times and they just hang up on you! Poked several holes in the wall and claims to have use spray but did not find anything but live bees to our surprise.

Do not use this company!!!!

Check [redacted] and [redacted] for my rants about this company, but be very wary of a company that hands you an iPad to sign without actually showing you the total. Yes, I know, my bad, and when I thought about it 30 seconds after they left, looked at the bill that I signed (yes, I know, my bad...), and saw it was $495 when the other companies were in the $80-$150 range, well, shame on me. Also, shame on Channel 12 for having associated their name and perceived support to this company. This whole deal is just bad news..., please learn from my mistake. OVERPRICED, OVERPRICED, OVERPRICED!!!

I have a signed invoice from the customer authorizing the work to be done for the agreed price of $1195.00. They had no problem when they signed off on it , and we also swiped their credit card when at the property. This customer obvioulsly caled other companies after we did the job and feels that...

they were overcharged for what was done. we exterminated a beehive of over 20,000 bees and cut in the wall and removed honeycomb. Again they were informed of the price, and signed and agreed to it, I would like this complaint dismissed.I have a signed copy of the invoice and can scan and send to you in an email if you provide the email address.

I am shocked that these people put a complaint in with the Revdex.com. I talked to the husband on the phone, gave him a discount and he told us to proceed with the work, thanked me for giving him $100 off, and I even said to him three times, "we dont have to remove the honeycomb, you can leave it or try...

and get someone else", to which he said "no, we need to do it". What absolute nerve to put in a complaint after we talked on the phone, we did the work at the agreed price, I have a signed invoice and will not refund anything, and would expect them, if they are decent people to withdraw the complaint, all I can say is this is unreal, I guess there are people out there who expect hard working people to give their work away for almost nothing. I will make a one consideration, let the husband I talked to , put on a bee suit and go with my guys to a honey removal job, help them exterminate the bees and dig the honeycomb out of the roof, if he does that Ill pay him $200.

As I have stated, we have a signed invoice for the amount agreed upon that we have submitted. The signature is the owner authorizing us to do the work at the agreed price, there will be no refund, and as I stated in my first response I would like to see the Revdex.com end this complaint, my signed invoice is proof that we did a job at the agreed on pricem\, this customer is not unhappy with the "bee removal", he is unhappy with the price.

I was quoted $150-$200 over the phone to remove a bee hive from a tree. When the technician got there he quoted me $300 because it was so "big". I told him what I was quoted over the phone and he said he could not go under $250. I said I was quoted by other companies as low as $165 and did not want to pay over $200. He told me he drove 70 miles to get there and called me an "[redacted]" as he walked away. I will never use this company again.

Overpriced and outclassed by far superior companies who offer better services at a better price. We were quoted $150-200 over the phone which was in line with an A+ rated firm that we actually used previously, but, we decided to proceed with Mountain View before checking their rating. Upon arrival, the technician was not dressed very professionally (he looked like he had come from the gym) and my gut reaction was to send him home. The technician reviewed the location of the bees and then increased the estimate to $300 for treatment allegedly due to the location of the bees. We uncomfortably agree and treatment was performed. The technician did seem knowledgable and was good in how he handled our challenges to him regarding the Revdex.com rating after we learned about it while he was there. His response indicated that pricing was the big issue because bee removal is an expensive industry. While he is correct that it is an expensive and unlucky thing to deal with, we solicited a second opinion from an A+ rated company whose fee for the same service would have been a flat $165 vs. the price gouge increase from Mountain View. The A+ rated company did a far superior review of our issue, noted that their fee would have included more chemicals to ensure eradication and provided a lower estimate for honeycomb removal ($900 vs. the $1200 estimate from Mountain View). Based upon the fact that the other firm took much more time and had far better equipment to confirm where the honeycomb was in our home, the difference between A+ and F rating was obvious.

I was on vacation and my brother was taking care of the house. He informed me that we had a bee issue in the back yard. The bees could not have been there more than two days. He called Mountain view pest control out to access situation. They told him it was going to be $595.00 to remove bees. He called me when they were on site and I told him $595,00 was way to much and to hold off. He went outside to inform them to stop work but he had already given them his credit card and they were half way through work so it was too late. They were on site for less than 30 minutes. When I returned I from vacation I called Mountain View to try to get some resolution with no success.

Similar negative experience.Company charges too much for doing so little. The $395 seems to be the going rate. No mention of that on appointment set up or before work was finished. Now I know why.

Down right dishonest. Takes advantage of customers and I cant even believe this "company" is still in business.

This customer called me and I made an offer to refund him $100, as a courtesy. He demanded $200, which I will not do, he seems to be unreasonable, and I question the "Alzheimers" of his mother, if she has the mental awareness of a 10 year old, why is she allowed to live on her own,  since she...

could easily get hurt, but that is his mother, and his business. But don't say that we prey on people, she called, was told three times the price, agreed, signed, and we did the service. If he wants to try to "void" the contract, lets go to small claims court and have a judge decide, Im up for that.
