INVOICE DISPUTE
On June 29th,2023,I made an appointment with Mr Rooter . I talk to Christy Clay. She told me they could come, that day, to fix my problem. She never mentioned to me that there would be a Emergency charge. She did say if I didn't hire them, I would have to pay $89.00 for the service call. But she also said that I would get the $89 off my bill f I hired him to do the work. Didn't happen.
The manager that I spoke with , (DON)told me there was no such thing as a Emergency call charge. Which I did get charged for.
Jason Eakon arrived on the 29th of June . He looked over the problem, and handed me two papers to sign . One was the cancelation forms and the other was the Emergency forms. Yes I signed, not reading them carefully. I told him about the $89.00 charge .He said he would just forget about that charge. He came up with the price of $1244,22 cents. I told him that was way to high. He told me that it's based by the Job, not by the hour. I about flipped. I let him do the job anyway. He was to put a new valve on to stop a leak, plus he said he had to cut open the wall to get to the pipes. The wall is still opened. So I said OK. He had to leave to go to Home Depot to purchase the things needed to do the job. I askedJHIm if he could purchase a faucet for my bathroom sink and a faucet for my kitchen sink Also new shut off so I can shut off the water from inside, in case I ever needed to turn off the water in a hurry. SO he bought 2 faucets. Which he said were top line faucets. I looked up the price.and together,they cost less than $200.00. Also he bought 3 or 4 water shut offs ,a couple small coil lines,
a nd a blue plastic line and a red plastic line.and the valve to fix the leak. He completed the Job in less than 1.5 hours. Meanwhile he said he couldn't install the up and down stopper ,on the new faucet so now I can't leave the water out. When It was time to pay him. he said that I could finance it for 6 months at $200.00 a month.He never gave me a financial forms to sign ,to complete the transaction. A couple days went by. I was looking over my forms and decided that the $1244.22 was outrageous for the job that was done I called his manager in Cranberry and tried to explaine my concern .His name is Charles. He just tried to overtalk me. I told him that I an not paying that outrageous amount, He argued with me,and threatened to file a complaint to the magistrate office, and make me go that day. After that, so far I am still just waiting . I e mailed BBB. Letting them know my complaint. They sent ,what I wrote ,to Charles. He wrote back to them, He lied and said they tried multiple times to make this right and even said he offered to take off 1000.00. Nothing was done. I call a manager (Don) at the Pittsburgh office and discussed my problem. He was very understanding. He said he would talk to the other managers and come up with a solution to make them happy and me happy. He called me back the next day ,and said the would know off $100.00 from my bill. I refused. I called a few more places, for advice. I got to the point that I didn't know who to believe Their stories didn't match. I even discovered that they charged me for the Advantage Plan Membership ,good for 5 years .They never offered me this plan.They charged me $99.00 dollars on the statement. There are a few thing on the statement that they said they did, but I was here when the work was being done and I saw everything that was done I even help hold the faucets
so he could tighten them. I didn't get top quality faucets. Or local codes for my saftey. No pipes were removed to gain access. No drains were inspected .And never inspected kitchen drainage for obstructions. Never reinstalled under sink piping system. Said they gave me 30% discount same day . Also said he gave me a break!Then said he should of charged me twice as much for the work! REALLY! That's when I knew something just wasn't right with this statement. I asked Charles , What did I get a break on. He couldn't come up with a answer .I insisted on a itemized bill Which they said they don't give. (FISHY HUH?) But they made up one for there benefit. I never said that I wouldn't pay for their services and the supplies. Charles said that I did SO there is a whole lot of he said she said. I will pay my share. When and if I get a decent bill.. I need the financial paper, after they adjust the price. I asked them to mail it to me I never got.it .I am just waiting . CHARLES MANAGER FOR CRANBERRY OFFICE. WOULD RATHER THREATEN ME THAN TO MAKE THIS RIGHT. I see on this complaint page that they have done things like this to other people and made it right . I have pictures before and after .Also all the Emails that were sent to the Bbb . SO please. just make this right with me and everybody will be happy Thank you

I was recently shifted to Pittsburgh city and my Rented house plumbing was in very poor condition every tap of house and kitchen drains are clogged, I started searching over google for a plumber in Pittsburgh and then I found mrrooterpittsburgh.com in google search results, I called them and asked them if they can come to my place?
They immediately schedule a plumbing inspection and they reached on time. They provided reliable service at affordable prices.

We at MrRooter feel it is very unfortunate that Mr [redacted] feels we used bait and switch As per the attached invoice; Mr [redacted] signed authorizing us to perform the work He also signed the 100% satisfaction signature We honored the coupon as well as charging member rate even though Mr [redacted] is not a memberPlease refer to the invoice for the amount of the discount With that being said, our technician saved the customer over $already that they were not required to do We at MrRooter feel we provided the services at the agreed apon price based on the signature of the customer Therefore, we feel this complaint should be closed Best Regards, MrRooter Plumbing

[redacted] Bank offers financing for MrRooter Plumbing They offer a month same as cash program If the customer doesn't pay the full amount within that time period they are responsible for all a crude interest That is an agreement directly between the customer and [redacted] Bank Therefore, that part of the complaint is beyond our control and will need to be addressed with Mr [redacted] and [redacted] Bank I have attached a copy of the invoice Mr [redacted] has signed both front and back You will see on the invoice Mr [redacted] initialed that he understood that MrRooter Plumbing is not responsible for settlement of dirt In good faith MrRooter Plumbing is willing to put additional top soil down when the weather breaks If he would like us to do this he needs to call in the office and schedule an appointment He would need to speak to Mr [redacted] *** Best Regards,MrRooter Plumbing

Unfortunately, this type of work requires more critical scheduling; meaning it can only be completed when the weather is going to cooperate MrRooter attempted to contact the customer several times and was unsuccessful Since the work which needed to be completed did not require entry of the home and it was already agreed upon; MrRooter took advantage of the weather while it was cooperating MrRooter never used any hose at the house In fact our technicians brought water with them to use We at MrRooter would be more than happy to come out and do a through inspection of the work completed on the trap Please fee free to call the office and set up a time at your convenience We have a lifetime guarantee on the pipe installed by MrRooter however, there is no guarantee on the concrete patch We at MrRooter look forward to hearing from you and we will consider this complaint closed.Best Regards,MrRooter Plumbing

They over charge and do not have the customers interest at heart Their $10,reduced to $8,resolution which should have been done at the time they were doing my $17,job was NOT!!!!!My issue was resolved by a local company that cares!!!! at a fraction of the cost!!!!!! To Whom It May Concern: This is in response to the Complaint, ID No [redacted] , filed on behalf of [redacted] with your office on July 8, First, I am enclosing copies of the following documents: a Invoice No [redacted] dated May 8, 12016, which shows the work agreed upon, the price for the same and which contains the signature of [redacted] *** Please note as indicated by his signature, Mr [redacted] accepted the work performed and acknowledged satisfactory completion of the work; b A Property Damage and Landscape Waiver signed by Mr [redacted] on May 8, 2016; c An Emergency Work Authorization signed by Mr [redacted] on May 8, 2016; and d A Waiver of Right to Cancel signed by Mr [redacted] on May 8, A review of the Complaint, filed on behalf of Mr [redacted] by his son, shows that his Complaint focuses on conduct of Tom A***, a project manager with [redacted] Apparently, MrA [redacted] made representations to Mr [redacted] that his insurance company would reimburse him for the agreed upon repairs Unfortunately, Mr***’s insurance company did not reimburse him My review of the documents and narrative provided by Mr***’s son shows that MrRooter did nothing wrong in connection with this consumer transaction Mr***, Srhad a sewage backup at his house, agreed upon a scope of work, signed an appropriate emergency work authorization and then signed an acceptance of the work performed, acknowledging satisfactory completion and that his premises was left in a satisfactory condition If Mr [redacted] has a complaint at all, it appears to be with representations made to him by MrA*** In addition, please be advised that when dealing with customers who appear to be over the age of 65, MrRooter’s representative always ask them whether or not there is anyone they need to consult with prior to making the decision to go ahead with any recommended work In this case, Mr [redacted] indicated he was capable of making the decision on his own and there was no one else he needed to consult with Based upon the statements made in the Complaint, Mr [redacted] did not see fit to even tell his sons about having the plumbing work done until a couple weeks after it was completed A review of the narrative does not indicate that Mr***, Srhas any problem with anything done by MrRooter Because all of the contracted for work was performed by MrRooter and accepted by the consumer, we believe the Complaint has no merit and should be regarded as resolved If you have any questions or need any additional information, please do not hesitate to contact me Very Truly Yours, Robert *B [redacted] (Owner MrRooter Plumbing)

Mr Rooter Plumbing offers financing through different lending institutionsMr Rooter Plumbing is not affiliated in any way with the lendersOnce they customer is approved any issues with loans, interest rates, etc are between the customer and the lending institution Our Excavation Supervisor has made arrangements to deliver additional top soil by the end of the month Once the top soil is delivered we at MrRooter will consider this complaint resolved and closedBest Regards, MrRooter Plumbing

Mr and Mrs [redacted] As per your conversation with [redacted] excavation manager on May or May MrRooter will repair your driveway however in the best professional workmanship like manner the ground needs to settle therefore MrRooter (Mr [redacted] ) will be in contact with you the week of June 15th, and schedule it that week weather permitted.Sincerely [redacted] ***

John’s plumbing snaked the line after we replaced the initial feet of pipeWe have video showing damage to the terra cotta pipe that was replaced by us I feel that having the second opinion of a plumber after we replaced the damaged line is irrelevant as they were not a witness to the initial damage nor have they seen the videoI feel that the $was fair and journeyman plumber Earl M [redacted] diagnosed the situation properlyWhen Mr [redacted] said that he filed his complaint I stated that I would not refund his money as he wanted a full refundI do not feel that a full or even partial refund is deserved as we fulfilled our contract to the T It is the practice of MrRooter plumbing to recommend the best solution for our customersThe video inspection revealed that the additional feet of pipe is old terra cotta and has breakages throughoutOvertime roots will grow into this pipe and the risk of collapse will increase due to age and it is still our recommendation to have the rest of the pipe replacedWe at MrRooter feel this complaint is closed Best Regards, MrRooter Plumbing
