A Toshiba
America Information Systems (TAIS) representative has reviewed our customer
complaintAfter doing a research TAIS cannot find any records on our system
under our customer’s information and according to our customer they contacted
the Toshiba *** site which TAIS has no ability to access or manage their
system where our customer purchased a refurbished unit last 11/17/that
comes with a 90day warrantyBased in our system showing the details of the
unit the warranty already expired last 02/15/Seeing as the customer has
exceeded the warranty period they are now responsible for any/and or technical
assistance
Our customer
can contact Toshiba Repair Services at ###-###-####At this time we consider
this matter closed

I was told it will take a few days and they will get back to me after they submit the claim to toshiba and recieve a response

our customer placed the order online last 03/28/at 3:59pm PST and the
order released from the warehouse the same day at 4:11pm PSTOur customer
was
advised that his order had already processed and unable to cancel or make
changesOur customer was advised that he could place a new order for the
correct adapter and just return the incorrect one that he processed online for refund

I do not have the funds to pay for the shipping regardless if I will be reimbursed later onSecondly I have taken the tablet to a third party repair companyThey removed the battery because it had exploded inside the unit making it uselessThis I am not surprised by since the last time I was able to use the device I ran a program called BatteryInfoView and it stated that this day old device's battery had almost charge cycles So that will be another thing not covered by their SLAIf Toshiba wishes wants me to return the unit in this condition I will but I am unable to prepay for the shipping whether or not I will get it backI realize that I purchased the entry level cheap model but with a national brand such as Toshiba I expect it to last more than days

A Toshiba America Information System (TAIS) representative has been in contact with our customerTAIS has apologized for the inconvenience our customer has experiencedTAIS has advised our customer that we will send her a free box so her computer will be sent to our Toshiba engineers to diagnose what is the cause of the issue and have it fixedTAIS has advised our customer that the box will be shipped overnight and our Toshiba engineer who’s the one working with the Toshiba VIP repair who will evaluate the computer of our customerTAIS has advised our customer that it will also evaluated for replacement however if the issue of the computer is repairable the computer will be sent back to our customer repaired and the process will take 7-business daysIf our customer has any questions or concern they may contact us at ###-###-####At this time we consider this matter closed

Please consider this a formal complaint to the decision made on November 24th 2014. Point A.) This is a serious request for help & support...I purchased a Toshiba computer, a well known companyThe day I purchased this computer it was OBSOLETE...Toshiba you knew well before the date of my purchase that there were major problems with RECALLED COMPUTERS....When you did this recall in February 2, you failed to notify me.Point AA.) I don't want this obsolete computer repaired. I am thinking I want my money refunded $634.00. This rejection from Toshiba is a slap in my face, I no longer wish to do business with them Point B) I originally purchased this computer December 6th 2010, exchanged on ApproxDec 15,for not working properly including problems with the speakers. I returned to *** in the beginning of January, I was trying to do a comparison and this computer was no longer on display or on order.Point C.) OUTSIDE THE WARRANTY FOR YEARS:First I must say that I didn't use the computer a lot. I called TOSHIBA with my complaints (over-heating) and the bad speakers. Never in their conversations told me of their RECALL. It's been in my office for 1/years....WHY DID TOSHIBA NOT TELL ME OF THEIR RECALL AT THIS TIME? Of course, it's outside warranty because of their negligence Point D.) Let say Toshiba purchases something for their Company DO THEY EXPECT THAT PRODUCT TO WORK?Point E.) I could consider putting my problems with TOSHIBA on some public forums. I could also consider getting an attorney and suing for the cost of the COMPUTER and ATTORNEY FEES.Thank you in advance,*** ***

On 1-12-while trying to repair problems again the Text Support person *** * told me I have used up all my support options with support and I have no more support forth coming , when I tried to tell her the support caused every problem I am having with this laptop and I still have problems with the laptop , she just disconnected the call with me and refused to talk Toshiba is not offering me text support according to their support text now what is it with Toshiba are they going to fix or replace it , Toshiba needs to clarify what they are going to , all the run around with Toshiba and their support is just wrong Thank You *** ** *** 1-29-Please let me know that you received this message Thank You

The *** repair facility not only damaged my computer, but then charged me for a repair that did not take place as my computer was not repaired upon returnThey insisted that in order to fix the device they had to replace the screws and I had to pay for itObviously, this was falseThe amount I was charged needs to be refundedI don't see how I can be expected to pay for a service I did not receiveThe money I paid in good faith needs to be returned.Think of it like this - you take your car in for an oil change and they tell you the brakes need to be replacedSo you replace the brakes, but on the drive home they're not working, even though they did when you drove inThe company offers to fix the brakes, but not refund the money you paid to have the brakes fixedYou didn't go in for a brake job, you went in for an oil changeWhile doing that oil change they damaged your car by destroying your brakesAnd now you're paying for it.What this repair facility is doing is unethicalI'm not the only one that this has happened toToshiba needs to seriously consider what kind of outfit they want representing their company.

A Toshiba America Information Systems (TAIS) representative has reviewed our customer complaintAfter doing a research the diagnostic of our engineers there's an external force was applied either upward or downward direction on the plug itself, causing the case separate at the jackThe evaluation on the system showed no sign at all of melting, fire, burning, smokeDue to this damaged our customer was quoted for the repair because in accordance to the standard limited warranty of the computer physical damage is out of scope of the warranty (out of scope meaning it is not covered by the standard limited warranty)At this time we consider this matter closed

they have not returned my last phone call and we still have the problem with our setI called them and talked to a techhe said that he would talk to the engineers and call me backthis was over a week ago and I have still not heard from the company

This "VIP " facility is the same one that the computer was sent to prior times with the same resultsThey know that this is a lemon and are biding time for the warranty to expireI will be going to the news station to expose their responses to a senior citizen consumer
