Namecheap has charged me for something I did not purchase, and they will not refund me. The subscription continues to recur, even though I've cancelled, been told that I will be getting a refund, and NEVER purchased additional domain services in the first place.

Placed an order for EV SSL certificate through Namecheap (COMODO/Sectigo) for our website domain KWHealth.org. Initially the process went well; however, during the verification stage, the customer service representatives were uneducated. Initially, we were told that we would need to be in DUNS -- no big deal. We submitted our request, and DUNS verified our new company. The DUNS database was updated. Then we were told that it must not only be in the DUNS database, but also the UPIK database. Again, this was updated, and we were told everything was fine. Next, we were told that the phone verification would take place -- it did, and we were told everything was all set, and the certificate would be issued in thirty minutes. It was never issued. We contacted customer service again, and they said now all they need is a business bank letter certifying that we have a bank account. This was immediately supplied. I was told the business phone number just had to be verified again and then it would be issued. No call. Submitted another request, now we were told that the business bank account letter has to be verified with the agent that signed the letter. We have an account at a large institution --- there is no way to contact the customer service manager that wrote this letter. We asked for an alternative -- we were never provided an alternative method. Ultimately, we canceled the order and just requested a refund. The representatives continued to change their story with the verification process. We are a legally formed corporation in the State of New York, and this can be confirmed at any time by calling the State directly. DUNS also verified this information. There is no reason why the EV SSL certificate wasn't issued.

I purchased two domains earlier today since they went on sale. The domains were `theinquisitive.dev` and `mediocre.dev`. Both were added to the cart at $14.98 w/ $0.18 fees from ICANN. At the end I was given a receipt for those domains, but it had a message noting "requires a signed mark". Went to purchase again and they were then tacking on an additional $11,000.

I purchased a domain name/hosting package on 1/18/19 and my debit card was charged $37.37. On 1/18/19, 12:04 pm, I received an email notifying me that since Namecheap did not receive any response from me to their verification email within the required time, they were forced to cancel my orders. I have been writing emails requesting a refund and Namecheap has a horrible online customer support that does not respond to request. Given that they cancelled my request, I want a refund of my money.

Greetings,

We have contacted this company several times and have submitted tickets asking for their assistance.
The problem is the company has no office or telephone number which is impossible for a company who provides website domain services.
These services are crucial to a business and typically time sensitive.
The only way to contact this company is either by virtual live chat, or to submit a ticket, and await someone on behalf of the company to contact you by email. Even worse when attempting a live virtual chat, we are greeted by representatives who are outside of the United States and do not speak the english language particularly well.
This made matters extremely difficult in terms of being able to accurately communicate our concerns.
Not only does the company not have any direct telephonic contact, they also outsource employees from outside of the United States, making customer service extremely frustrating and nearly impossible as a result of the language barrier. Communication has been a disaster.
We are extremely disappointed on having chosen this company over it's competitor, in addition to now seeing the method in which they handle consumer concerns.
We're also extremely concerned with the fact we have a 1 year subscription, so our time is running out and the weeks in which we have awaited their reply, is cutting in to our subscription time.
We believe our issue is simple if only we can speak to someone who understands, as it only involves signing in to our account.
So now we turn to you and ask that you please help, so we may resume our day to day operations and continue to do business with this company.

Many thanks in advance.

Kindly

I paid for 1 year of web-hosting (paid in June 2018) and 2 year of website
registration (paid in April 2018). I contacted namecheap.com in December 2018
to cancel all services and request for prorated refund. I find the
web-hosting and registration charges to be over-priced. They told me
that they can cancel, but there will be no refund. In the documents
were emailed to me, it does not state that there is no refund.

I would like to get a prorated refund of the charges that I paid.

I received an email on 1/3/19 from Namecheap indicating that my account would auto-renew. I immediately emailed them back on 1/4/19. I sent three emails requesting that my domain be cancelled and NOT auto-renewed. Each email I received in response requested an account PIN that I did not have. Today 1/11 they debited my account for $23.14. I contacted technical support and they finally allowed me to reset my PIN. I then authenticated and asked for a refund. They said they could not refund me and would issue an account credit that I could use in the future. I said that was unacceptable and they then informed me that they could issue a refund of $23.14 BUT they would then have to charge me $88.88 fee.

Namecheap is currently hosting a website that stole all of my images og my dogs, family along with all my social media information and dog information. I have contacted namecheap via email and live support and a support ticket. I have yet to her a response from namecheap.
Namecheap is helping puppy scammers and allowing thiefs to steal my content with no disegard.

I ordered a product called Bristly from the 2coool.com website in early September. After numerous emails, I was told that the product would be sent by October 15th. I was charged and still have not received the product or correspondence from anyone. I would either like a refund or the product delivered ASAP.

I've used NameCheap domain registry for years without issue. This complain is specifically about ***. Since switching my site to *** for a little over a week now, it has been down for FOUR days. The first time it went down for three days. I contacted their customer service reps each day multiple times just to get an update on the status of my website. It wasn't until badgering them on the third day for hours that someone on their customer service team contacted their technicians and "miraculously" the site went up. Today, I noticed my site was down again so I contact their teams once more and got the same runaround I did the first time. I had to close my live chat screen (that's the only way to contact them because email and their ticketing system gets ignored -- I tried that the first time) to get a new representative to talk to me since they don't transfer your chat. After hours of chatting and no clear distinction that my site will be back up anytime soon nor will they give me backup files, I am reporting this site as a scam. I've lost time and money on this and my own sanity. Something needs to be done so others don't get put in the situation that I've been placed in.

The registrar accidentally billed a relatives card for a domain renewal back in May. My relative didn't recognize the service and disputed the charge. The registrar is now demanding I pay $60 as a result. The registrar has blocked my ability to renew or transfer the domain names I currently have. I have a bunch of names expiring and limited resources to renew all them.

Registrar has failed to communicate within reasonable time frame regarding this domain and is holding up all the domains I currently have for a fee not related to the cost of the domains.

The business has been ignoring me for over two weeks now.

verification link to verify email address do not work nor, is there any finding of this link on google browser search showing that it is really a real working link... I tried to contact customer service many times about this link still to no resolution even with customer service help still nothing... I believe this company are fraudulently take people money knowing that they cant verify the email address through this link therefor, causing the company to cancel your domain name after fifteen days of not being able to verify the email address awhile, keeping your money. I have let them know that they're a fraud and want my money back, and that I'm filing a complaint with Revdex.com. I hope that you will be able to shed light on this company ripping off small business like myself I am very disappointed with the likes of these kind of people.

I have contacted them about our website Boston Square. Org and the only communication we can have is by email I've asked to get our website back online and it's been a real frustrating process. I had requested to talk to somebody over the phone because I thought that would be easier and they refuse to call me. told me they don't talk over the phone. My website has been down for 2 months. I'm still having a problem resolving the issue because I don't fully understand website stuff and how it works. I don't really understand how you can accept payment information from an organization and not be able to talk to those same people to resolve a conflict with your account. any other business I can talk to them by phone.

If I could give namecheap 0 stars I would their abuse team lies to people. They tell you a website isn't hosted with them when cloudflare says it is so which is it stop lying to people! Take down this website!

Namecheap is providing registrar and possibly hosting services to an individual with the domain USSupportLLC.win that is using my name and my company name in a harassing and commercially disparaging manner. I've contacted namecheap several times and they have yet to disable access to this account that is violating local harassment and libel laws as well as their Acceptable Use Policy.

I was charged for the Easy WP application renewal ($29.88) on a website (***) I no longer own. I complained within 4 days of the charge, and tried to resolve the issue with customer service. However, they said I had to ask for a refund within 2 days, not 4.

Cut/paste receipt:
Receipt #***
Date: 26 Aug, 2018
Billed to: ***, ***

EasyWP Starter @*** $29.88
Total: $29.88

I have/had several domains with this company, which I personally turned off Auto-Renew.

I reviewed my banking statement, and saw where they tried billing me $29.88. I immediately contacting them via email requesting that they cancel all the domains on this account, and refund my $29.88.

I stated, that I personally made sure that I set these accounts to none Auto Renew, and how strange that the one domain is turned on for auto renew. I did not use any of the paid services ever, even the trial.

Two days... a whole two days they went ahead and debited my account for $29.88

If you are a scammer this is an incredible domain host. They most of the time they will do nothing if your domain reported. Even then the worst they will do is just remove a page of the site. They have a service that allows scammers to anonymously set up their sites with out any repercussions. Why? Because the email to report whois guard abuse to is broken. If you are a decent human being use a different host.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS !!

This is the weirdest place I've ever done business with. They tried to over charge me so many times. Even though I reduced my hosting plan they kept sending me invoices for the higher plan. What pissed me off in the end was, I renewed my service. I made the payment. 4 days after I made the payment I received an email if I don't make payment my account will be suspended and my business website would be taken offline.

They have no telephone number and the only way to communicate with them is through email. But they do too much word game and act like they don't understand the issue or they don't recognize your email address.

Now I'm rushing to find a new company and move the website it's all headache because out website is complicated, also setting up all these emails again etc too much work and we're rushed to do all because of this stupid company.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS !!! Otherwise you will be ripped off left and right and you will have a very difficult time "communicate" with them. They have NO TELEPHONE NUMBER!!!!!

I'm calling my credit card company to file a charge back. I will also report these people on FBI's internet fraud report page.

I would say my problem falls under both customer service and product. I have been using NameCheap to host my domain and for my email for my non-profit foundation for almost 5 years. I have always had issues mostly with my email. About every few months my email would go down. I am a professional and run this nonprofit out of my home and volunteer my time and money to run it I have to be very professional, and not getting emails for weeks makes my nonprofit look bad. So it's bad enough that about every two to four months I have HUGE email issues that cost me tens of hours, an IT person and my reputation. WHat's worse is that NameCHeap is unresponsive in the respect that they respond with an automated response, but you can't call anyone and chatting is misery as they can't do anything for you but keep asking you the same question and because of the language difference they keep asking for clarification. Yesterday I chatted for almost 6 ours with several different people. For NO REASON my email stopped working and I was LOCKED out of my account, so I couldn't do anything and no one a full 24 hours later can tell me why or get my email working. They ask me for information they should have and send me emails over and over asking for my credit card - which makes me worry it's someone fishing and not a legit business. My email is still down and I am sooo frustrated.
