I have an account and many domain names held at Namecheap, since either 2015 or 2016 (unsure exact date). However long it has been, I have manually renewed my domains. Ie., I would receive emails from Namecheap telling me when a domain was due renewal. I would log into my account on the renewal date and pay Namecheap by a bank card. In January this year, however, I received an email from Namecheap confirming that my domain had been renewed. Since I did not authorize its renewal I contacted Namecheap who replied with a curt email claiming "nothing can be done now and this ticket is closed". I regarded the response both rude and arrogant, especially as I had not authorized payment in the first place. I then noted that I had missed a previous email from Namecheap, confirming another previous payment. I then noticed that these payments were paid some 2 months before the domain renewal date and that obviously Namecheap's own staff had set the "Auto-payment" on my account so that they could claim their commission two months early. Obviously. I contacted Namecheap and told it to (1) Cancel ALL of my domains so they could NEVER be used again. (2) Close my account Immediately after. Fortunately, this is a hobby of mine. Not a business. By then, it was the first week of February.

Since then my complaint is being dealt with by Namecheap as a category "LOW" case and each time it is dealt with by a completely new person who deals with it as if it is being dealt with for the very first time. This is a deliberate ploy by Namecheap, in that, since I will not let them have my domain names (which are many and which Namecheap want me to agree to let them have); Namecheap wants my account to die naturally so that it can then commandeer and sell my domains as their own. By going into my account turning on Auto-Pay to claim early commissions then accusing me of so doing makes Namecheap a vile, unethical, company; and UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL I LET THEM HAVE MY DOMAINS.

Thank you for contacting Namecheap Support Team! With all due respect, we will not be able to proceed with described requests unless you are authorized to act on behalf of the mentioned user.Should you like to continue within the current ticket tray, please ask the customer to share the associated account's Username that stands as a unique account identifier and a Support PIN that is used for verification only. Please note that Username and Support PIN are considered to be sensitive user information, so please refrain from publishing those details. Meanwhile, we would like to explain several aspects to avoid any possible confusion. Auto-Renewal of all services is performed automatically by the system only in case the services are enabled for automatic renewal and internal Namecheap account balance has enough funds to cover such operation. If a payment card is attached to account profile and is enabled for auto-renewal option, the system will be authorized to charge the card that is set for such purpose. Normally, system triggers automatic renewal order 30 days before actual domain expiration date if payment requirements are met. If not, system will re-try each 24 hours until successful renewal or service expiration. We’re also sending out notices about an upcoming auto-renewal to primary account email address (the emails are sent on the 25th of each month containing information about the products that will be auto-renewed within the next calendar month) to make sure that no domain names are auto-renewed without user authorization. In case it is required to remove the domain names from the account and close it afterwards, we will be glad to assist, yet we will not be authorized to proceed unless the request is received from an verified user.Due to security reasons, verification details are requested each time a new ticket is opened within our support system and it is possible for a user to see his support history after logging here: https://support.namecheap.com/Namecheap provides it's support 24/7 and tickets are processed by representatives that are available on shift within the same department as the previous one. In case a new ticket is opened, case is regarded as a new one unless verification details are provided alongside with a reference to the case that was reviewed previously. In case a Revdex.com representative would be authorized to act on behalf of current domain holder, he/she may consider contacting us anytime via Live Chat here: https://www.namecheap.com/support/live-chat/domains.aspxThat may allow resolving the case in real time without the waiting time associated with correspondence via ticket Helpdesk. We hope this provided the answer to your satisfaction. If you have any additional questions in regard to this matter, feel free to update this ticket.--------------------------Kind regards,Roman TNamecheap Customer Support

Regarding my NAMECHEAP complaint, can you please update me on any information you might have for me?Despite my request to Namecheap since February of this year, after its fraudulent use of my account, for it to:1) Cancel and DESTROY ALL of my domain names so that they can NEVER be used again2) then, CLOSE my account so that I have no further business with NamecheapI continue to receive emails from Namecheap on almost a daily basis. Their latest email to me today is to tell me that they have "Updated [their] Privacy Policy". Now, I really do not care what Namecheap does. I really DO NOT WANT TO HEAR FROM Namecheap.Indeed, ALL that I request of Namecheap is that it carries out tasks 1 and 2 above (as I requested in FEBRUARY) and to STOP harassing me.Is Namecheap above the law? How is it allowed to do business on the Internet when it's motive is to defraud, rob, and harass its customers, rather than supplying a service? All over the Internet, there's evidence of its unacceptable behavior -- and yet it is allowed to advertise on Twitter daily, as well as other places, luring more unsuspecting customers to part with their money with no service given in return?I am very sorry to trouble you, however, you can I am sure see my frustration that Namecheap is allowed to deliberately defraud people whilst NOTHING is being done about it.RegardsC. Recently, I was notified of my hosting and web services needing renewal. I tried to access my account, but login required 2-step verification. Tried to talk to customer service, but required a receipt number (for almost a year ago), along with a dozen pieces of information, but wouldn’t allow my account 2-factor to be temporarily disabled. Tried to get in contact with their Risk Management team, but has not yet responded. Didn’t receive enough notification to do anything about my account becoming inactive and my domain expiring.

I purchased hosting from Namecheap earlier this year. I set up an email service and had it point googles email servers. Everything worked fine for the first few hours. A few days later I noticed that my account was not receiving emails. I contacted google and namecheap to sort out the issue. Google confirmed the issue was on namecheaps end and after a lot of hassle namecheap "resynced" the DNS (which doesn't mean anything to the best of my knowledge). I was happy to have my email working again, though the damage had been done to my business since I was doing a lot of outreach when this occurred. A few days later I noticed I wasn't getting emails AGAIN. This time I tried to explain that this was a recurring issue. Support ignored me and "resynced" the DNS again. I tried to explain the issue but to no avail. It was working for a few hours again. Today I noticed my email was not working for the third time. Again namecheap dodged my questions and failed to answer my questions. Namecheaps hosting has now done incalculable damage to my business and I will be taking care of my hosting on my own through Amazon AWS.

Namecheap made an unexpected charge to my credit card for $25 on 8/18/17. No such amount was listed under the billing history of my account. I called them (twice) at *** on 8/21/17 for explanation, selecting the "Unauthorized Credit Card Charge" option from their phone menu. A recording said to leave a message because no representatives were available, but then said the mailbox was full. My credit card company (***) also called, with identical results. With no explanation for the charge and a suspicious phone experience, I filed a dispute with ***. On 9/3/17, Namecheap emailed me about the chargeback, claiming they had forgotten to charge my card for an online payment made months earlier. Note that at the time of payment, there was no indication of error, and Namecheap successfully charged my card for a subsequent payment to the same account. When Namecheap discovered their mistake, they retroactively charged my card – without notifying me, and without ever recording the transaction to my account history. Despite their repeated errors, and despite my offer to pay $25 immediately, Namecheap insisted on locking my account until the chargeback was reversed, unless I paid them an extra fee. On 10/12/17, I received written confirmation via postal mail from Chase that the chargeback was successfully cancelled. I confirmed that the repeat charge appeared on my Chase statement ending 10/11/17. I emailed Namecheap to confirm the chargeback reversal and unlock my account on 10/12/17, but received no response. I emailed again on 10/19/17. They finally replied on 10/20/17, refusing to unlock the account because the chargeback was "still in progress," and requesting written documentation that the dispute was closed, which I promptly supplied that same day. To this day, they have not yet replied, despite my follow-up email on 10/25/17. I have paid in full for services that Namecheap now refuses to deliver by continuing to keep my account locked.

Namecheap is the registered owner of a website called whitelifeisall.life, which has been illegally sending me and thousands of other people between 10 and 20 email spam messages per day for months. Each one of these emails comes from a different hacked/spoofed/hijacked email account, each offers an opt-out link that goes nowhere, each advertises products and services whose legitimacy could be called questionable at best, and each violates about a dozen laws and industry best practices. When I first contacted Namescheap's abuse department in July, I was initially told that the company could not verify that this site was being used for any illegal spamming activity. When I provided further proof and forwarded several of the emails that I had received, I was issued a trouble ticket and told that the matter was being taken care of. Since then, I have continued to receive these same emails daily and subsequent contacts with the company have not received any response at all.

This is ***, the company that sells ***, hoodies, etc. I've ordered twice from them. Both times I received a defective item (picture was crooked). Company has no phone number. Company does not answer emails nor claims filed through their support process. Wasted nearly $100. Thought first time was just a fluke and they would get back with me. Never happened.

I opened a ticket *** on 7/31 to get access back to my account and have provided all information asked for to verify my information, but Namecheap has refused to get my access back, and now is refusing to respond to my inquiries.

My account information was lost by accident, and I no longer have access to the email that is associated with the account, so cannot go through their online "Forgot my userid" and "Reset My Password" links, so had to go through the support. But, they are no longer responding.

I have two domains that are no longer functioning and need to correct them. These are for my businesses. However, they have been non-responsive for over 10 days at this point.

I had the pleasure of speaking with Mr. Richard K who agreed to discontinue hosting a website *** as they are currently engaging in selling counterfeit items on the Internet using their website to do so. Mr. K stated to me that he does not support this type of business practice which the owners of the website *** are engaging in and will discontinue hosting this domain further. Mr. K States to me that he is also aware I own the Copyright and Trademark to the name ***, and is shocked the owners of this domain are doing such things. Unfortunately, despite our conversation and my repeated contacts, Mr. K and Name Cheap, Inc. continue to host the domain *** despite Mr. K's, assurances.
