Napleton's Arlington Heights Chrysler Dodge Jeep R Reviews (58)

My boyfriend and I were looking into trading our car in and I started out looking at St Charles CDJR but was throughly disgusted with how they did businessI was disrespected In so many waysUnfortunately my boyfriend had to work but he was able to be on the phone with me through everything I called him and told him how angry I was with my experience thereHe mentioned looking at Napleton's CDJR in Arlington Heights because he heard they have wonderful customer serviceHe made a phone call to Lucas and explained to him my prior experience and how angry I was with the previous CDJR dealership I visited and Lucas apologized for what had happened and said have her come in and we'll take care of herThe moment I walked in to Napleton's CDJR in Arlington Heights I was greeted with friendly and smiling facesAnd within a minute a salesmen named "Q" figured out what I was looking for and we were on our way to looking at carsHe was sooooo friendly and extremely knowledgeableWhile I was waiting for him to get keys I had a handful of people including managers ask me if there is anything else that they could do for meIt was so refreshingPositivity is definitely contagiousQ showed me all the cars in my price range and let me know everything I could possible know about themWhen it came to figuring out numbers I felt like he really had my back and wanted to make it work out to what my criteria wasThey gave me a very good offer on my trade in which was really nice! Once we agreed on numbers and I was waiting to sign the final papers he showed me around the service department for when I come back in for oil changes, free car washes, etcHe introduced me to all the people who work back there and where to go when I need helpOnce I had my papers signed and was ready to drive away, Q had my new car all ready! Every person I came in contact with during my trip there was so pleasant and accommodatingI've had great car buying experiences before but Napleton's CDJR in Arlington Heights set a new standard for me here! I will definitely send anyone I know here!! Thanks guys for the awesome car buying experienceI love my new car!

I used *** to locate a car I was looking for the car came up on Napelton's in stock list at a very good price I submitted a request to come in and test drive Alex from the internet service team, called me excited to tell me "good news" the car was available She even sent me an email with the car, vin number and again, saying it was in stock She transferred me to Armi to arrange for a time to come in this was 10:a.m., we set the appointment for 4:right after work I drove miles, got there at 3:looking for Armi A "product specialist" approached and said she was at lunch He looked in the computer, saw the car I had the appointment to see, went for the keys, went into an office that had shaded glass, came out to say the car was gone gone I said, yes, he said it must have been sold sold in hours? I asked to see a manager, Mark came out apologetic but said these things happen, and that the system must not have been updated this morning checking tonight, the system still had not been updated as it is still listed as in stock bait and switch? convenient that Armi was at lunch when I showed up? my advise to all reading this, buyer beware, reading some of the other reviews, now I can see the type of dealership this show a nice car at a good price, be sweet talked into coming in, and only to be told, must have been sold, and the sight not updated bait and switch? you be the judge, my recommendation, steer clear of this place or you may experience some of the same not at all what was expected

Our service manager has reached out to the customer to see if we can resolve her issueShe can work directly with *** going forward

The customer and the GM reached an agreement this morning to resolve his issue

I wish I had checked Yelp before contacting this dealership to see all the similar experiences other people had! I contacted this dealership via the internet yesterday to see if they had a certain vehicle still for sale Was told "yes" by the internet rep Started to drive the hours and miles there only to get a phone call that someone else was "in the showroom" looking at it I was then informed about other vehicles at a much higher price they have for sale! I turned around and went home Seeing the vehicle still listed for sale on the website I contacted them again Same thing happened At first it's for sale yet, then they try selling you on a higher price vehicle I drove to the dealership today as the vehicle was still listed for sale on the website Got there and was informed the vehicle sold last week! This dealership is disgusting Deceptive advertising practices and baiting/switching customers I will speak negatively of this "business" every opportunity I get

Don't buy a car here!!! Literally go ANYWHERE elseThe ONLY reason they got star, is because I can't give them ZERO STARSI have bought lots of cars in my life, and never have I had such a miserable experience Let's be honest, no one likes buying cars The whole process sucks Napleton however has taken this terrible experience, and found a way to make it even more painfulTo say the sales team is below average, is an insult to below average sales people everywhere They are not knowledgeable about the vehicles on the lot, are incredibly slow to find out answers, and my favorite part, is that they try to help more than one customer at a timeNow maybe I'm just high maintenance, but when I am in a car dealership ready to drop $40,on a new car, I expect 100%, undivided attention from my sales guy You don't get that hereIf you like being ignored, lied to, and sitting around for long periods of time just waiting for answers, than this is the dealership for you!
The ONLY reason I bought the car here, is they had the car I wanted at the right priceAnd now after weeks, it seems as though the transmission is already shot It's a year old car, so they had to know this Again, just another trick to try and move a carHere's a crazy idea guys - train your sales people so they know their *** from a hole in the ground, get people timely answers, pay attention to potential customers when they're STANDING IN YOUR SHOWROOM, and tell people the truthOh, and stop trying to sell so much ** to customers after they buy the car If I wanted to add an extra $4,worth of ** onto my purchase, I would have told you about it I don't want tire insurance, paint protection, gap insurance, wheel coverage, or any of the other non sense that you tried to shove down my throat, when I just wanted to get out the *** doorI've never wanted to see a business permanently close their doors so badly in all my life These guys have no business being in the car business Or any business for that matterThoroughly Disgusted,
Mike

They were very condescending, rude, and combative We hadn't talked about the price of the car yet and the sales associate Adam had come over telling me that there's nothing he can do with price and asked what I was doing He was also rude in the way he spoke to us and condescending when we asked questions We then agreed upon a finance option and he came back with a higher price After we got that cleared up, we told them that we'd like to sign that offer Then he came back and told us that someone just walked in and was interested in the car and that they're just going to see the car to them - this was at 8:55pm and the dealer closes at 9pm Being frustrated with what Adam did and the way they treated us, we spoke with the manager Cristian and he said he was going to honor that deal and that he would find that car for us from another dealer and get it for us Throughout the week, Cristian never called me back and told me that he probably wasn't going to find it I asked to speak with the owner who we had met when we were in the showroom and they kept telling me that he would call me back as well It took a week for him to finally call me back He also didn't apologize for his staff and told me that he was however sorry that I thought that they were rude We went back to see if the car was still there and it was, so they not only lied about that, but they continued to lie about finding me this vehicle that they said they would honor for me The sales staff, managers, and owner were very unprofessional, rude, condescending, and lied many times to me

While we dispute much of what the customer claims, he was refunded for his cancelled productsThe refund was sent to his lien holder

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2014/08/22) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
On or about July 30th, we offered and requested that the contract be voided, and that we had found the exact car for almost the exact price and wanted to take our business and go elsewhere to purchase the carThe request was presented to *** and his response was that "since the loan was funded and the car was titled to us, that was NOT an option"The first communication we had directly with ***, is when he called our home on August 18th to offer to miraculously void the contractAt that time, we had waited three weeks for the car to be completely repainted (the car was picked up on August 19thNapelton never informed us that it was ready and we picked it up directly from the body shop), the other car has been sold, and we were already informed that the contract COULD NOT BE VOIDEDWe have verbally amended our resolution to the sales manager, *** ** at Napelton and to *** at Napelton corporate to request months worth of loan paymentsI have also informed both the dealership and corporate that Napelton Arlington Heights have been removed from both TrueCar and USAA as a recommended dealership due to complaints within a three month periodIn the time without the auto, I have been paying for insurance and loan interestThe car was purchased new with miles and was returned with over milesAgain, we wanted to return the car and Napelton said NO
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2014/08/29) */
Mrand MrsDryman have been in contact with our corporate office who is now handling the complaint

Bought a car from there and was tricked into purchasing a warranty that I was told the bank required in order to approve the loanSince I previously had credit issues, I believed this was a trueThe following day I called my bank and and asked if this was true which of course was notAfter reviewing the documents with the bank, I was up-charged nearly $3,in financing which would have totalled more in the long run due to financing chargesThis was downright fraud by the dealershipWhen brought to the attention of the dealership, they did remove the charges and then offered me measly free oil changesOne would assume that after an dishonest employee almost got away with charging you nearly $3,in charges, they would go above and beyond to repair the damage that had already been doneAsked if the employee would be reprimanded and was not given a guarantee and even accused of miscommunication even though both my wife and I both were told that the warranty was requiredThey preyed on me because of my less than perfect creditI had nothing to gain when asking to simply remove the charges, but then told that it could have been my fault for misunderstanding the up-sellI know what I heard, and believe me, this was not a misunderstandingIt was blatant fraudWhen contacted following the events, the manager kept trying to force me to assure him that I would not involve a lawyer and trying to force me to say that I was now happy with the results of free oil changes in exchange for my troublesUnfortunately most people do not trust car salesmen and dealershipThis reiterated that beliefThough not saying you shouldn't buy a vehicle from them, I would caution the culture of misleading customers into financial decisions that can cost them lots of money and have such financial ramifications for them in the future

I found a used car that I have been looking for on their websiteI called to make sure that the car was still availableThey said yes and I made an appointment to see the car and test drive itThe called me the next day as well as the day of to confirm that I was coming in to look at that carI confirmed and when I get there after an hour of a run around that they can not find the car on the lot they inform me that it got sent to actionI should have walked away right then and thereBut the sales person said there are three cars that are same type but different makes on the lot for the same priceI look at the cars pick out the one I like best and then when they brought me the paperwork that car was over double the priceThey were very rude and nasty to me when I said the price is over double I thought that you said that it was the same price of the car that I came to look atAfter hours from start to finish I left without a carThis dealership are complete scam artists and I do not recommend anyone to ever go there

Complaint:
I am rejecting this response because: their response is a fabrication and an outright lie The repair takes seven hours and they had the car for three and a half days Additionally, the car was returned with both the interior and exterior dirty Pearl property in the interior was rearranged and disorganized An overall poor job on the dealer's part
Sincerely,
Charles ***
