Information sent to Credit Bureau to be removed from Consumer Bureau

Account # [redacted] listed to consumer was assigned to NCM on 11/14/by [redacted] ***Attempted to contact consumer multiple times but NCM was unsuccessful in speaking to consumerHave included validation information which shows consumer had attended [redacted] ***If consumer is disputing attendance than NCM will contact [redacted] and close account

When student receives funds from the University, upon enrollment, they agree to the policies of the University, enclosed is the Enrollment Rights and Responsibilities of *** *** *** UniversityThe University attempted to notify the student concerning the delinquent accountThe University
then assigned the account over to NCM as noted in the enrollment agreementWhich also stipulates that any delinquent debts may be reported to a credit bureau. The consumer paid the account after the account was delinquent, thus it has to be reported as a Paid collection item, per the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) as accurate informationIf the consumer feels that this is an error then they need to dispute the information with the Credit Bureau Agencies

NCM will cease collection of consumer account and notify *** *** *** *** of dispute

Initial cost of class was around $Cancelled within first 60-days per policy, also the course was very poor quality

Consumer stated she is trying to buy a house and this account was listed on her Credit ReportShe became upset because she was told that collection item cannot be removed due to the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)Asked to speak to Supervisor, she was told the same thing, Per the Fair Credit Reporting Act this delinquent account owed to *** *** *** ***, has to be reported accurately and as a data furnisher NCM does not operate "pay for delete"Stated other companies will do it and that she will call the Credit Bureau to remove itShe then hung upAll calls are monitored and recorded and at no time was any NCM representative rude to consumer

Since consumer is disputing validation information from the University of Houston-Clear Lake, NCM has closed and returned the account back to the University and requested information to be removed from consumer Credit Bureau
