On 4/11, Mr*** ordered an air conditioning compressor for a Honda Civic Coupe (2-door) and an air conditioning receiver drier/accumulator for a Honda Civic Sedan (4-door)On 4/21, he reported that neither part fitMr*** confirmed that he received the parts he ordered
We told him that we are not sure why both parts don't fit, and offered to refund the parts and his original cost of shipping if he paid to return the parts to usHe accepted our offer and returned the partsWe issued his refund 5/

My issue is just with the cost of the shippingI paid for express shipping to have my parts by 07/03/and I did not receive the actual part that I ordered until 07/08/All other issues aside I don't feel that I got what I paid $to receiveI have done some research and found that if I only pay for ground shipping I could accept a refund of $42.03, the difference between express and ground shipping.Regards,

Regards, for one thing these people are lying I do not accept this what I asked for was not a refund but the return what I had for the correct item that's what I asked for I never asked for any money back what I want is the correct item for the vehicle that I have that's all they have to do I never asked for a refund and I am appalled that they are saying something like that they're lying

Windshields are delivered to our warehouse dailyThey arrive with no box and are inspected prior to being packaged & boxed for shipmentThis windshield was not damaged at the warehouse

On 5/20, Mr*** went to our Order Status & Returns page to report that the alternator he received was defectiveSince he reported his problem within days of purchase, we authorized his return and provided a prepaid FedEx return shipping label to return it for a full refundWe refunded
him on 5/26.RockAuto honors manufacturer warrantiesHowever, ACDelco's warranty does not cover labor costs or other companies' products

On 10/26, an individual named *** *** (who we assume was acting on behalf of Mr*** or simply owned the email account Mr*** used to correspond with us) emailed us photos of the damaged hood and the box in which the hood was shippedAs the attached images show, the box Mr*** received, for which he signed noting no damage, was significantly damagedFurther, one of the images shows that the hood sustained damaged in exactly the same place as the box, damage which is far more likely to be sustained in transit than in our warehouse, which only stocks and ships parts in new conditionWe are sorry Mr*** did not make note of the damage his hood sustained upon deliveryWe cannot help him further, and this message concludes our correspondence with him

So now it's my fault that the rack and pinion wasn't complete.....gotchaYour employee or inspector whoever check the part fail your company on doing their JOB. You guys don't have next day for rack and pinion either. If I didn't buy that part I wouldn't have made my month long military deployment oversea. When I try calling and it keep forcing you to the websiteWhy don't you hire people to answer your phones for issue like this? By contacting your Order Status and Return page since it's email it's still it not as quick as a phone callWhen I buy a part offline I expect it to be complete or be able to get in contact with the company immediately? I guess your company don't believe that thoughI didn't want to buy that part but you do what you have to do to get back to make your deployment on time. I'm losing my patience with your company now

On 8/13, Mr*** ordered KYB shocks for his truckOn 8/17, he went to our Order Status & Returns page to report that he was missing installation hardware that should have been includedWe told him we would ask the manufacturer to send the hardwareThe manufacturer responded saying they did
not have the hardwareWe offered to have him return the parts with a prepaid return shipping label for free replacements which would include the hardware or reimbursement up to a reasonable amount if he could find the hardware locallyHe declined our offers because he installed his shocksAs our Help page notes, we do not accept returns of parts that have been installed (http://www.rockauto.com/help/?page=4#Returns)As a good faith gesture, we asked our warehouse who shipped the parts if they could supply the missing hardware; they too were out of stockHe later asked us to reimburse him $dollars so he could purchase the hardware from a local dealershipSince that amount far exceeds the cost of arranging free replacements (which we would have paid had he not installed his parts), we declined his requestWe are sorry Mr*** is missing hardwareBut we can't accept a return for parts he installed, nor can we provide reimbursement for $
