I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.
Sincerely,
[redacted]...

I phoned Neulion again today at 4:25.I was put on hold for over 4 minutes and then I hung up.  I tried again right away and was on hold for 6 minutes and I hung up. I even tried to contact Tech support to see if I could get anyone on the line to talk to instead of a recording and I was on Hold for seven minutes.  What would someone do if they did need Tech support?  I phoned again around 4;45 and  a girl answered and when I got out the words,"I wish to cancel my subscription she abruptly hung up on me.  I phoned again 5 minutes later and the girl answered and I said,"Don't you dare hang up on me"  She said she has never hung up on anyone and then in the same breath told me she is the only one who answers the phone!!!!???? I tried a different ploy using a different phone and having someone from my family state the purpose of my call. I was then transferred to someone who told my my subscription had been canceled 30 minutes ago????!!!! He hopefully resolved the issue. His name was, [redacted].  All the contact you receive my this company is a Recording and the rude girl who answers the phone after the recording and then either hangs up or transfers you to another recording and HOLD!!!!!!!

Hi,Our records indicate the following: -        The customer’s subscription was auto-renewed on August *-        The customer filed a first chargeback request with his bank on October *-        The customer...

filed a second chargeback request with his bank on October **-        After the first chargeback was processed, the customer’s subscription was cancelled on October **-        The customer subscribed again on November *-        When the second chargeback was processed (the banks seem to have overlooked the variance between the dates), the customer’s second subscription was cancelled on November **Because both chargeback requests were accepted, no refunds are due.Very truly yours,[redacted]NeuLion, Inc.

Hi,According to the company's records, the customer was charged and sent a confirmation email on 12/*/14 and did not send in a cancellation request until 2/**/15.  We have no record that this customer had earlier requested a cancellation, and the customer herself has not provided...

any documentation to support her claim.  However, as a courtesy, and because the service was not used during the time period after the asserted cancellation request, we provided the requested refund on March *, 2015.  The account has also been cancelled.  We trust that this satisfactorily resolves the matter for the customer; if not, please let us know.Best regards.[redacted]NeuLion, Inc.

Hello, I am getting monthly charge of $7.99 each month since June 2017 for something I have no idea what it is and I am not authorizing this charge.

I would like someone to contact me and be refunded this total amount. My email is [email protected]

Thank you,

Patrick Shipley

I don't know who this company is. I don't believe I have ever seen them before. in reviewing my annual credit card charges, I noticed about 20 charges for 7.99 each. They stopped charging these in mid 2017. if they want to contact me about this, they can email me at [email protected] as I would like to know what I purchased if anything.

Review: I used Neulion last year and will NEVER use them again. They charged me this year WITHOUT MY CONSENT $69.99 for an internet service I DID NOT ORDER.

I think companies should be BANNED from automatic renewals because in many if not all cases they do it to mislead the customer. If the customer WANTS to reup the service they will do so. In ANY CASE I DID NOT AUTHORIZE THEM LAST YEAR TO DO AN AUTOMATIC RENEWEL. I called them up and they refused to issue me a refund. I NEVER USED THE SERVICE EVER IN 2014.Desired Settlement: My credit card company DISCOVER CARD refunded me and Neulion should reimburse Discover Card.

Hi [redacted]:

We responded to this complaint on September **, 2014 - did you not receive our response? Thanks.

Best regards.

Business

Response:

Hi [redacted]:

Per my response on September **, 2014, when this NFL customer originally subscribed to the service, he agreed that his subscription would be automatically renewed on an annual basis, and it was in fact renewed on August *, 2014. This NFL subscription allows 30 days for refunds on renewal, but the customer did not contact us until September **, 2014, that is, after the refund period had expired. Customer satisfaction is very important to us, however, and we have therefore cancelled this subscription effective September **, 2014.

We trust that this resolves the complaint. If not, please do not hesitate to contact me again.

Best regards.

Review: On 11/*/2013 I purchased NHL Gamecenter Live. Upon realization that none of the services I had desired would be accessible by me, I contacted customer support to request a cancellation and refund. They offered extremely disappointing service, and did not accommodate my request, but did provide a [redacted]s email. I then submitted the following email not only to the [redacted], but also through their formal support tool on their website: "Good evening, I just got off the phone with one of the customer support representatives with some fairly upsetting news. I live in Utah and am a follower of the Colorado Avalanche. It currently has the Avalanche as covered by the local channel of Altitude Sports. Unfortunately, that is not even close to being a local channel. They are based out of Colorado and the only way to get them is via DirecTV or DISH, potentially Comcast.

Now, I understand that they bought exclusive rights, and as unfortunate as it is, I'm fine with simply cancelling my account. However, it appears that I am unable even to get a partial refund of this service. I purchased the service on 11/*. I have only had a chance to see three games since then, and because I was out of town it is really only two games. After the first game was blacked out, I wasn't too concerned because blackouts happen. Then on Sunday I wasn't terribly disappointed because we had plans that night anyway. Once today's blackout took place, I immediately reached out to Customer Support only to find this bad news.

I paid $169 for a service that would last me a full season. Now, I am requesting a cancellation of that service and it makes no sense for me to have to pay the entire price for 9 days worth of use.

My hope is that you can understand my position and settle this professionally. Again, I would like at least a partial, pro-rated refund of the service. I expect a response quickly in order to resolve this as soon as possible. Thank you."

Now, 11 days later, I have not received a phone call, email, or contact in any way. To me, this is unacceptable and unprofessional. I paid them for a service, and since they are not able to provide the service, I should not need to pay them.Desired Settlement: I am requesting a refund for the services that were not provided to me.

Business

Response:

Dear [redacted]:

This customer subscribed to NHL GameCenter Live. Information regarding blackouts is disclosed to potential customers as part of the registration process. We state that game broadcasts that are available to watch on television in a potential customer's local market and nationally televised games are not available to watch live or within 48 hours of game completion in NHL GameCenter Live. We also provide a link allowing a potential customer to find out which teams are in his or her local viewing area and therefore unavailable to watch live with NHL GameCenter Live.

To resolve this complaint, on December *, 2013 we cancelled the account, refunded the customer and notified him at the email address we have on file of the cancellation and refund.

Best regards.

Review: The advertising for Tennis Channel Everywhere indicated I would be able to watch live matches of tennis tournaments. But in fact, I can only watch repeated replays of matches. I do not have a TV provider, just internet service. They did not indicate in their advertising that I would need a TV provider to watch live matches. I think they were misleading and deceptive. Though I have tried to explain my problem, they have been unwilling to consider any refund.Desired Settlement: I would be happy with a pro-rated refund. I believed from their advertising that I would be able to watch live matches at the Australian Open Tennis tournament and other tournaments, but in fact, they offer only repeated replays of matches. I paid $89.95 for a year's subscription because that was the only option. There was no possibility of a shorter, less expensive subscription. I believe I was deceived and cheated. I have both had a chat session and an e-mail exchange with the company, and they have offered no resolution.

Business

Response:

Hi, We have issued this customer a pro-rated refund of $80 ($89.99 minus the fee was for one month of service). Best regards. [redacted] Assistant General Counsel NeuLion, Inc.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

Sincerely,

Review: I ordered a one month Tennis TV program on 08/**/15 and I continue to be billed since. I have been billed for 9/**/15, 10/**/15 and 11/**/15. I have called several times to no avail. I have emailed NeuLion on 11/**/15 to stop the billing and asked for a refund to no avail. I only purchased a one month package and I'm not sure why NeuLion doesn't accept this. I have called on 12/*/15 and NeuLion said I had 2 emails and that created the problem. Well, I only have one email. He was very disrespectful toward me.Desired Settlement: I am looking for a refund of 3 months for $35.97 and a stop to the monthly billing on my credit card.

Business

Response:

Hi,Our records show that this customer registered and

purchased Tennis Channel subscriptions for two accounts, in the following names

and for the following periods:

[redacted] – monthly subscription for

period of 8/**/15 - 12/*/15

[redacted] – monthly subscription for

period of 6/*/15 - 9/*/15

The Tennis Channel terms of service that are accepted at the time of purchase do state that

monthly passes will be automatically renewed until canceled, and that no

refunds are available, but we have nonetheless refunded the customer $23.98,

which is the cost of two months of service and which we believe is a fair settlement.Best regards.Stacey [redacted]Assistant General CounselNeuLion, Inc.

Sincerely,

Review: nhl interactive refuses to cancel our subscription and continues to charge our account despite numerous phone calls and a dispute of the charges via discover card.

I called again today and the rep flat out said he will not cancel our account and I could not talk to his manager. he gave me his managers email address only.Desired Settlement: I want a refund for the most recent charge as we canceled the account in 12/**/13 while the old charges were under dispute and they renewed our subscription this month because they won the dispute with discover. we were told back in dec that it was cancelled and now they are saying that when the disputed charges went in their favor, that automatically started our subscription again.

Business

Response:

Hello,

[redacted]'s customer service department corresponded with this customer on April *, 2014 and addressed the customer's complaint by cancelling the customer's subscription and issuing a refund for the last charge. While the account had previously been cancelled, when the customer lost the billing dispute with the credit card company, the subscription was reactivated and the customer was charged again.

We trust that our actions in addressing this complaint have been satisfactory; please let us know if anything further is required. Thanks.

Best regards.

Review: Several months ago (August **, 2013) I contacted the company's subsidary, [redacted], to tell them that I no longer wish to subscribe to, or pay for, my Arabic TV services, as Talfazat.com was billing me $39.99 every three months for services to which Talfazat was/is denying me access.

In summary, for several months ( since August 2013) Talfazat.com, Neulion's subsidiary, has been illegally charging my VISA card for services to which I am being denied access. Bottomline, the company (Talfazat and Neulion) have been (and are) stealing my money and denying me services to which I am entitled.

In October 2013, I successfully did a chargeback through my bank for the unauthorized $39.99 charge. Sadly, though, Talfazat & Neulion once again illegally charged my VISA card in November 2013 for $39.99.

Once again, I have asked my bank to do a full chargeback for the $39.99 unauthorized charge.

By the way, I contacted Talfazat many times, via email and phone about this issue, and the company did not reply to my inquiries.

I do not appreciate Talfazat's and Neulion's unethical business practices.Desired Settlement: I am kindly asking the Revdex.com to highly encourage Neulion (parent company of Talfazat) to issue the $39.99 refund to my VISA credit card asap and, also, to highly encourage Neulion (parent company of Talfazat) to stop harassing me and to stop billing me (illegally) for services that I am not receiving.

If the Revdex.com is not successful in resolving this matter, I will sadly have no choice but to pursue and escalate this matter, further, as appropriate, through other channels.

With that said, I am hopeful and optimistic that the New York Revdex.com will be able to successfully help me with this issue.

Best regards,

[redacted] December *, 2013

Review: I cannot cancel Tennis Channel Everywhere and I keep getting billed for a service that I do not use. I don't know how to cancel. I tried to reset my password on the website to get access, but so far, that didn't come through. Help me to cancel this contract and receive a refund for two months of subscription.Desired Settlement: Cancel contract and refund of unused subscription.

Hi,In response to this complaint, we have terminated the account and refunded the customer for two months' of service. Thanks.Best regards.Stacey S[redacted]Assistant General CounselNeuLion, Inc.

Review: For several years, I have used Neulion's web streaming service to watch South Dakota State University (SDSU) football and basketball games that were not televised in my area. In the beginning, we could choose a month-by-month or a three-month period of service, which was great because I wasn't interested in baseball, softball, etc. Two years ago, Neulion began signing everyone up with automatic renewals of service, which I didn't realize until this last fall when I went to renew and discovered that I'd paid for the entire previous year already. They'd simply continued to charge my credit card every three months without any authorization from me.

After this, I realized that I'd have to notify Neulion to cease service and then start it up again in the fall. However, Neuron has made it very difficult to do this and it apparently cannot be done online (unlike starting up the service). There is no place on the SDSU or Neulion websites that I can find to stop service. Not only that, but it's quite difficult to contact them at all and when one does so, one is at the whim of their returning your original contact. So, even if I contact them via e-mail, I have to wait for their phone response to cancel my service. How long will this take? I don't yet know.

I believe [redacted] (with whom I also do business) got in some trouble about doing this very same thing recently and I don't see why Neulion should get away with this. If they are making customers responsible for canceling service and not allowing monthly or three-month service contracts, they should certainly make canceling service as easy a process as starting service. As it now stands, this is certainly not the case.Desired Settlement: I would like to see Neulion notify me that I'm about to be charged (my credit card is about to be charged) for another three months of service before this happens, so that I can choose whether or not to continue the service. This is only common decency in customer service. If I do not respond, I have no problem with Neulion charging me for another three months, but I should have a reasonable method of not continuing service if I so choose.

Hi,This subscriber's subscription has been cancelled, and the subscriber was refunded on October *, 2014 for a September **, 2014 charge of $39.95. Potential subscribers see the package description multiple times during the online purchasing process, including the renewal terms, but there is no email sent before or after any billings other than the initial one. A subscriber should be able to cancel his or her subscription online at any time via the "Manage Packages" link when logged into his or her account, so if this subscriber re-subscribes and then wishes to cancel online but cannot, we invite him to let us know directly or through the Revdex.com. Thanks.Best regards.[redacted]lNeuLion, Inc.

Review: On Jan. **, 2015, I spoke to John of my request to cancel services, whereupon he said he would cancel the subscription and the recurring charge of $9.95. I would receive the $9.95 refund that was due me in 3-4 business days. Confirmation # [redacted] and I did receive the $9.95 to my account on Jan. **. However, I was charged $9.95 the same day! I called their current phone # at ###-###-#### which Revdex.com needs to update in your contact info. for Neulion, Inc., and there has been absolutely to response from Neulion, Inc.Desired Settlement: I need $9.95 restored to my account in the same way they refunded the first time, within the next 3 business days.

Review: I wish to cancel my subscription. I phoned three times on October **,2015 at the following number--###-###-####. The first time after following instructions I waited 20 minutes and no one answered. The next time I phoned someone answered and I was able to get out the words,"I wish to cancel my subscription", and the person abruptly hung up the phone. The third time I was again on hold for about 15 minutes before I hung up. Review: Neulion is responsible for the programming and control of the [redacted]. Per the contract, information provided online one month is $9.95 and will re-new automatically UNLESS you email them at [redacted] . I emailed them on 11/*/2014, 2 days prior to my one month subscription ending. I received an automated response stating I had an open ticket with an identification number: [redacted] and that an agent would respond as soon as possible. Three days later, on 11/* I was charged an additional month and still had not heard from anyone at Neulion. I sent an additional follow-up email to the same address asking for a response and a refund as I attempted to unsubscribe prior to my automatic renewal date. The additional email was dated 11/**/14, one week after my original email. On 11/**/2014 I also found an additional email address on Neulion's website ([redacted]), for support and attempted to email them as well; however I received the same automated response with a new "ticket ID" stating someone would contact me back. After three attempts and almost two weeks no one has responded to my emails and I am still in a monthly subscription that will automatically renew against my will. Please assist me in contacting this company who clearly does not value it's contracts and agreements.Desired Settlement: I sent an email to stop the automatic renewal and cancel my subscription prior to 1 month of service being up; therefore I would like to be refunded for the additonal month I was charged and would like to successfully unsubscribe from this App. I do not wish to have anything to do with Neulion in the future as they do not respond to customers and their services are misleading.

Response:

Dear[redacted]:On November**, 2014, before receiving notice from you of this customer's complaint, we had already refunded the unwanted renewal and cancelled her subscription, and also granted her complimentary access to [redacted] until December*, 2014, and emailed her to notify her of the steps taken to resolve her complaint to us.We believe that this satisfactorily resolves the matter, but if you have any questions, please contact me at [redacted]. Thanks.Best regards.[redacted]

Review: the coverage of tennis matches is sub par. Basically useless to me as a viewer. I tried to cancel service within 3 weeks but they tell me I have to pay the whole year and will not refund me even at a prorate schedule which is all I ask.

Business

Response:

HiThe terms of service of our customer, Tennis Channel, do not permit refunds, and we are therefore unfortunately unable to meet the subscriber's request. We will let Tennis Channel know that its subscribers are eager for content beyond what is already offered.Best regards.Stacey S[redacted]Assistant General CounselNeuLion, Inc.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here]The response here in made by Neulion clearly states they do not give refunds. This should be posted on the Bill Pay form where they offer their service to begin with and it is not.I signed up for an annual subscription of which after three weeks I determined was totally inferior coverage of what was promised in content. All I asked for was a partial, adjusted refund which excluded the time I used. For neulion to refuse the partial refund I request appears as a "bait and not provide useful service" to me with no recourse for the customer . I do not request a full refund ,only an adjusted refund for the portion of the time not to be used. It is no where to be easily located in the TERMS OF USE addendum either .

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Sincerely,

Business

Response:

Each subscriber to our customer Tennis Channel's service affirmatively agrees to the Terms of Service, which are accessible from the registration page and which provide in Section 8 that "All payments for Subscription Services are non-refundable." Also, a list of the tournaments that can be watched is accessible to all on the website. Because the customer nonetheless feels misled about the service terms and the content, and on the understanding that no similar refund will be available in future, we have cancelled the account and provided a refund of $70.Best regards.Stacey S[redacted]Assistant General CounselNeuLion, Inc.

Sincerely,

Review: NHL Interactive automatically enrolled me in a service I was not aware I was being provided and proceeded to charge me monthly amounts of $24.99 without my knowledge or authorization. They claim I enrolled in an "automatic renewal" of services to continue from years prior. This is not the first time I have had to file a dispute against this organization for shady business practices. Reference Complaint # [redacted].

Brief history of events:

-September **, 2013: My credit card was charged $24.99 for the first time (I did not realize I was being charged or provided a service at this time)

-October **, 2013: My credit card was charged again for $24.99 (I was still unaware)

-November *, 2013: I discovered these charges and contacted the provider of these services. They told me they could not cancel the service and would continue to bill me monthly for a total of six months. The person on the phone then gave me an e-mail ([redacted]) to write about my complaint. I e-mailed them with my complaint.

-November **, 2013: I received a response from [redacted] saying they would not honor my cancellation. I then called my credit card company to file disputes for both transactions that occured and to also block further transactions.Desired Settlement: I wish the full refund (a total of 49.98) for the amount I was billed and for this "service" provider to stop attempting to bill my credit card. Also please unsubscribe me from whatever sadistic "automatic enroll" feature you have me on that somehow makes you think you can bill my credit card.

Business

Response:

This customer signed up for NHL GameCenter Live, which he had previously twice purchased. The automatic renewal feature of this subscription was clearly set forth in the Terms and Conditions, and the customer clicked a box indicating that he had read and accepted the terms of use. To resolve this complaint, on December *, 2013 we cancelled the account, refunded the customer $48.98 and notified him at the email address we have on file of the cancellation and refund.

Best regards.

Review: On November[redacted], 2014, I began a seven day trial for the [redacted] service, Game Rewind. I did so in order to watch one, specific game, on the same day that I signed up for the trial. Unfortunately, the Game Rewind service did not work on my XBOX One, so I immediately cancelled the trial. I have not attempted to use the Game Rewind service since November[redacted], 2014, the day I began and cancelled the free trial, as I assumed it had been cancelled, as requested. The trial requested payment information, but stated that if cancelled within 7 days, my card would not be charged. Looking back on my bank account transactions recently, I noticed that my account was charged $59.99, processed on November[redacted], 2014. I was initially unsure as to what the charge was for. I contacted my banking establishment to find out, and was advised to contact NeuLion. I advised NeuLion of the situation, and was told that I would not be able to receive a refund due to the fact that they supposedly do not have any record of cancellation. This was many months ago, so I do not have my own records of exactly who I spoke with, or the exact time that I cancelled the service, other than the fact that I began and cancelled the trial on the same date, within only a couple of hours. If cancelling the service and record of not attempting to use the service whatsoever, is not enough reason to be refunded for this subscription, the fact that it did not work in the first place, should be reason enough. I read many other reviews and complaints online, of others who have experienced similar issues such as this. I am a single mother, experiencing financial hardship, so this is a huge burden. This is the first time I have attempted to use any sort of [redacted] subscription. Unfortunately, it has been a horrible experience, and I will not attempt to use any other [redacted] services or NeuLion services in the future, if I do not receive a refund for the amount that I have been charged.Desired Settlement: I deserve to be refunded in the amount of $59.99.
