I recently relocated from New York City to Washington DC with the help of New Amsterdam Van LinesMoving is always difficult but where NAVL could help, they didAfter getting several quotes I found that they were the best priced with the best value The customer service reps were knowledgeable and communicated with me every step of the processI always knew what to expect and they answered all of my questionsWhen they were not sure, they researched to find out the information I was most satisfied by there hands on nature in making sure my property was received when expectedThe movers were friendly and comforting, as I was very nervous something would go wrong Everything went according to scheduleThere was initially a problem with the dates I had requested but NAVL did all they could to accommodate my needs I couldn't have asked for a better moving experience

Me and my husband are moving to LA with our newborn baby and cats Marcus handled all my communications regarding the move HE IS AWESOME I have enough stress to deal with, he made it SOOOOO friggin easy We did a part move80% of stuff into storage (so we were able to sell our apartment w/o the clutter) The rest was then picked up and added to our other belongings All of which was then shipped to LA for a free month of storage there We intend to keep it there until we find a new home crew was fast, respectful and took excellent care of our things FYI, all of this was like 1/the price quoted by EVERY other mover we contacted NEVER will I use any other company Thanks Marcus!!!

I used this company for a long distance move from MA to NC. I have reached out to them several times to resolve a few issues and I have not heard back from them. Our dinning room table has water damage due to the truck our stuff was in leaking. It is not even a year old and is now ruined. The truck leaked diesel fuel and hydrolic fluid all over the drive way in our new rental property. The walls going upstairs were severely damaged by the movers.

Secured relocation services via phone call with CSR, Bridget, @ New Amsterdam Van Lines on 8/**/ Gave a $deposit in my visa same day Attempted several times to contact Bridget, as well as other company personal, to get moving questios answered Started to question whether I was being scammed
Canceled contract, via e-mail to Bridget @ Company email Oct.*Received a callback, same day, by a CSR (but not bridget) attempting to keep my business I declined and was informed I would receive a credit on my visa within business days I was well within day cancelation period, as the move date was to proceed on our about Nov**, although I was never contacted by a moving specialist to confirm my moveThe credit on my visa never came, nor was an email confirming my cancelation on their end ever received by me (as promised on oct* phone call from their CSR.) Now, I REALLY feel like I've been scammed!!! I have since secured moving services from a reputable compan

My experience using New Amsterdam van lines for my move from Pennsylvania to Texas was excellentI contacted several companies but when I talked to the representative for New Amsterdam van lines in New York, I knew this was the company I wanted to move my itemsI only had a very small window to both get a quote and then have my items packed and moved.I spoke to rep Friday for a quote and the packers came on Monday to pack and move my itemsThe packers and the men who delivered my items in Texas were both courteous and careful with everythingDefinitely would use them again!! My experience with New Amsterdam Van Lines is highly negative After paying a deposit of $on November **, to schedule a move in mid-December and being assured it would take place as scheduled on 12/**/**, I was then told it would occur on 12/17/** As of 5:p.mon 12/**, I was still assured the move would take place on 12/**/**, and that I would receive a call back by 6:p.mon 12/** to give me the exact time the movers would be on site on Saturday **/ No one showed up and no one called to say the move had been cancelled If you look at ***, you can see this is a common practice with New Amsterdam Van Lines They cannot be trusted to fulfill their contracts
