On August **, I put a $deposit towards a relocation move with New Amsterdam via credit cardI received an email confirmation of sameAround September *, I cancelled the the move scheduled with New Amsterdam and requested a refund of the $depositThey said of course they would refund me the money since no services had been provided and the cancellation was made within a few daysSince then, the $deposit was not put back in my card as promised and no check cameI have called several times a week and written several emails to the company's customer service to no responseFor the past two months, whenever I call and someone manages to pick up, I explain why I'm calling and they put me on hold until they either hang up or it's the end of the dayI am demanding that they refund my $deposit

Hi, I don’t really like to report no one however this may keep this from happening again to another customer First of all, when I called Amsterdam Van Lines, we went through the paperwork and we stated we wanted the full service, so therefore I paid extra for this service
Movers from Majestic van lines arrived at my Location* *** *** **, they were one hour late Another inventory was taken, I told the supervisor that it will be a room less and that the cast iron table wasn’t going either, that was like talking to the wall, he wanted more money to take the barbeque grill and asked for more dollars, it was paid He looked around and asked why I haven’t pack anything, my replied was, I paid for FULL SERVICE The movers where unprepared to pack, not enough boxes and no packing material My wife went out and got more boxes, dishes where packed in a box without any wrapping, clothing where balled up and placed in plastic bags This was the worst experience I ever

I recently relocated from New York City to Washington DC with the help of New Amsterdam Van LinesMoving is always difficult but where NAVL could help, they didAfter getting several quotes I found that they were the best priced with the best value
The customer service reps were knowledgeable and communicated with me every step of the processI always knew what to expect and they answered all of my questionsWhen they were not sure, they researched to find out the information
I was most satisfied by there hands on nature in making sure my property was received when expectedThe movers were friendly and comforting, as I was very nervous something would go wrong Everything went according to scheduleThere was initially a problem with the dates I had requested but NAVL did all they could to accommodate my needs I couldn't have asked for a better moving experience

My wife and I finally moved out of my mom house and into our new home,with the help of New Amsterdam Van Lines we are now ready to start our family ,thank you NA I will recommend you to my aunt who is moving in the summer

The customer was reimburse for the inconvenience.

On behalf of New Amsterdam Van Lines we do apologize for any inconveniences the customer may have received. In this particular case a logistic issue did a rise which was out of our control. The customer was compensated for the inconvenience.

[I received a call yesterday for a gentleman named Conner who works for the claims department for New Amsterdam Van lines. He apologized for the inconvenience and damages that were occurred during our more. He advised me that it would be settled by the end of day. Then around 445 I received a call from another gentlemen from the moving company asking me the same questions as Conner did. He then said that I was given the wrong information by Conner and it would take up ti 14 days to reach an agreement with the insurance company. I have spoken to Chris before when I originally called to make the complaint and he told me there was nothing he could do I had to talk to the driver of the truck cause it would be under his insurance. I am still getting the runaround from this company and the issues are not resolved.
