I am a single Father and I had to move myself and my family from Orlando Florida to Queens New York, and I must say that a move like this had me extremely nervousI was quickly put at ease when I got in contact with New Amsterdam Van LinesThey reassured me that will take care of the move from beginning to endOn moving day their staff were extremely professional and as they had reassured me, they took care of everythingThey took apart the furniture that needed to taken apart and reassembled them once they arrived at the destinationI will definitely recommend their services to my friends and family and I will continue to use them whenever else I need to move *** *

I did receive an email stating that the company could not refund my money to me as I made a complaint with my credit card companyThe representative from New Amsterdam did say that I should have received the credit for my bank by now semi colon however the bank is still investigating this incident and is unable to process the refund at this timeI'm not understanding why New Amsterdam can't just refund me the money, as in the past they said they had already refunded me and had notThis whole situation has just been very upsettingI believe this issue to be unresolved since neither New Amsterdam or my credit card company has been able to come to resolution with the refund of my $deposit.

I booked this company for a moveThey could not deliver, so I asked for a refund on 8/*/They agreed, and said I would receive my full refund within business daysIt's now 8/**/and I have yet to receive my refundThey will not return my calls, or tell me what's taking so long

Company was hired to move the contents of our home from NY to Florida The pidate was 11/**/and the delivery date was supposed to be 11/** or 11/**/ They finally delivered our belongings on 11/**/ Soon thereafter (11/**/16) we discovered that we were missing boxes We immediately contacted customer service We were told that they needed to contact the driver to confirm that these boxes were still in their possession This was confirmed on 12/*/and we were told (after we called them back, they never initiated contact) that the boxes would be delivered on their next trip to Florida It is now over weeks later and we still have not received our belongings although we called them for updates at least times (times in day as they kept putting us off) We called again today, 1/**/17, and our call went straight to voice mail We feel we have given them enough time to deliver our property and feel some other action needs to be taken

I signed a contract with New Amsterdam Van Lines on October *, for a tentative move on December **, The agent, Jermey F*, said if I didn't move I would get a refund I contacted them today and I was told I would not get a refund per the contract My husband is a disabled vet and I am years old I feel I am being taken advantage of and I really need the money as my husband and I are on a fixed income Please help me get my $deposit back from them

I can not say enough about my overall experience with New Amsterdam Van LinesI would highly recommend them to anyone looking to move short distance and/or long distanceFrom the first conversation with them to the delivery and setup at my new homeI am happy with my move and the serviceThank you New Amsterdam Van Lines

New Amsterdam van lines thank you for all your help relocating my sick mom to live with me, now it's time for me to take care of her, thank you guys so much, I will recommend you to my family and friends

Me and my husband are moving to LA with our newborn baby and cats
Marcus handled all my communications regarding the move
HE IS AWESOME
I have enough stress to deal with, he made it SOOOOO friggin easy
We did a part move80% of stuff into storage (so we were able to sell our apartment w/o the clutter)
The rest was then picked up and added to our other belongings
All of which was then shipped to LA for a free month of storage there
We intend to keep it there until we find a new home
crew was fast, respectful and took excellent care of our things
FYI, all of this was like 1/the price quoted by EVERY other mover we contacted
NEVER will I use any other company

My partner and I were considering moving from one state in the US to anotherWe were relatively familiar with the moving process since we moved overseas before without any difficultiesI googled moving companies and input my information into a website (I can't remember which) which then had a number of moving companies call me back for quotesI expected all of thatA "Senior Moving Consultant", Jermey, from New Amsterdam Van Lines called me on 12/**/and they provided me with a more reasonable quote than those which I was given from other companiesI was told by Jermey that I needed to provide money to hold the moving dateThat seemed reasonable so I provided my payment details and the money was taken out of my accountMy partner and I decided to discuss the move further and we decided we no longer wanted to move, at least for nowSo, I called them back to cancel the move on the following dayI didn't receive an email to confirm that it was canceled until the 12/**/I

I had horrible experience with this companyWhen they first made the deal over phone they made all kinds of promises and once the deposit is paid, there was no proper responseThey didn't respond to phones or emailsVery unprofessionalIt looks like they sold the contract to some local moving company for a higher price than that was agreed on and they never responded to my email to explain me why

worst customer service ever I called this company to work with them and their customer care people were so ghetto and rude on the phone it really turned us away if you want to move I suggest actually strongly advise not to use this company period

I spoke to Bryan and received a binding moving estimate on 8/*/I paid a refundable depositMy original estimated move date was 11/*/16; I advised New Amsterdam Van Lines well in advance of 11/*/that the date was to be changed to a date to be determinedI received a call early in from a very polite woman asking if I had a new moving date; I replied that I did not, but to please keep in contact with meI have called New Amsterday sales, customer service, and dispatch repeatedly for several weeks and have not received a return call I have left messages asking them to contact me regarding questions and a new moving date

This lack of customer service and professionalism is unacceptable and untrustworthy

I used this company for a long distance move from MA to NCI have reached out to them several times to resolve a few issues and I have not heard back from themOur dinning room table has water damage due to the truck our stuff was in leakingIt is not even a year old and is now ruinedThe truck leaked diesel fuel and hydrolic fluid all over the drive way in our new rental propertyThe walls going upstairs were severely damaged by the movers

The move was very cost effective and the movers were very respectfulThey moved my things from my mothers house to my new home and they gave me no problemsI'm very happy with the service!!

I contracted to have a partial move of goods from California to Arizona I was very specific that the primary reason for using a mover was that there was a very heavy gun safe I gave approximate dimensions and stated it was at least lbs There were pieces of furniture in additionNo boxes, no clothing, no miscellaneous itemsI paid a deposit of $ On the day of the "move", the 3rd party showed up, said they didn't know there would be a gun safe, and they weren't prepared to move it New Amsterdam told me that it was my problem, that the cost would be at least double, that I should have known that a gun safe is "not part of a household move", that it required special equipment, that it could not be done that day Their "minimum" fee of $would apply to BOTH moves They offered to move the pieces of furniture for the full price that day and make the second move later I said all or none I needed to have the move occur timely I requested a refund and was
