To Whom it May Concern: This letter is in response to complaint ID#[redacted] by [redacted], in regards to her account with New City Funding Corp.  [redacted] stated she was involved in a car accident on February **, 2015.  On March *, 2015, New City Funding Corp. was contacted by her insurance company and informed the vehicle was a total loss.  The insurance agent was given a payoff amount needed to satisfy the loan for the vehicle.  It was explained to [redacted] that until a payoff check is received from her insurance company, the loan remains active in our system.  New City Funding Corp. did not receive a payoff for her vehicle from her insurance company until May *, 2015.
[redacted] referenced in her complaint that she had made payments for March and April and wanted them returned to her.  New City Funding Corp. received two payments on February **, 2015, (before the accident occurred) which were for February and March.  These payments were used to calculate the payoff amount given to her insurance company on March *, 2015.  No payment had been received for April.  Also, as a courtesy, a late fee accrued for April while waiting for the payment from her insurance company was removed.  No request was made for an April payment.  No fees were charged to [redacted] as she stated in her complaint.
New City Funding Corp. is sympathetic to the fact [redacted] was involved in a car accident.  [redacted] signed a contract and was responsible for the car loan no matter what happened to the vehicle.  No payments are due to be refunded to [redacted].
Please feel free to contact me at ###-###-#### if you require any additional information.

Sincerely,

I have had my car payments about 6 months now with New City Funding. I have not had any problems what so ever. Every time I talk to an agent or they call me they have been nothing but nice and pleasant. Thank you very much for helping me correct my credit issues by giving me a loan. Michael Doti

I have had a loan with ncf since sept of 2016. This loaan was taken out through a dealer that the bank chose to represent. pizzaros autobrokers in plattsburgh ny. The loan is a year old and I have drove the car 2 months, the other 10 mos the dealer has had it for repairs. yes I do realize I am responsible for the loan, but personally I got sick of paying for a car I never had. so now they want to repo the car. They no longer allow this dealer to let his customers get loans through their bank. In the beginning miss Bethann helped me and was very upset about what yhis dealer has done, but now I talk to others and they dont want to hear anything I havr to say. They chose to allow a person like victor pizzaro pocket all kinds of money from people, meanwhile he is scamming people.

I have been told two different story's one person has said that I would have to do a buy out of 1800 to get another car then I get told that if the dealership only gave me 300 for the car what's left of the loan can go to the new car loan and then they tell the dealership another story. The car I have now is falling apart won't even pass NY inspection

New City Funding Corp. I am so pleased to work with Ms Beverly. She has made me feel like I'm part of NCFC family .She keeps me updated when there is any late payments because my name is cosingn on a car loan. I'm greatful for her professionalism...

My name is SueMarie. I have a loan with these people. I called in a payment on 1/28/2017 of $70. The girl processing my payment made a error and processed $710. When I was notified from my bank of my account being overdrawn I phoned New City immediately. They said they would look into the matter. Today I was notified by them it was no error on there part my account was pass due. But they would gladly refund me my $34 overdrawn fee. I notified my bank immediately and signed a dispute form. They will not allow me to speak with my account manager and hang up on me every time I call there now. This is plain stealing! Never authorized this amount of payment. $70 authorized not $710.

Please call New City Funding and speak with our compliance manager, Maureen. We sincerely apologize for the unfortunate situation that you had to deal with. Since we do not have voice prompts or digital assistance, a live agent picks up the phone. In rare instances when two or three people pick up the call at once it cuts off the line coming in. That may be what happened when you said that you were hung up on. I assure that we do not hang up on customers and value your business!

Review: New City Funding reports that my vehicle is in "repossession" every month to ALL three of the credit agencies. I have filed disputed with the credit agencies 2 times and each time they state that New City Funding is saying my vehicle is in repossession when that is not true. I have requested a ledger from NCF and sent it as proof to each agency, however, once the credit agency calls to verify my credit with NCF they state that I am in repo. This is not true!!! and my credit is suffering terribly due to this!Desired Settlement: I need NCF to contact ALL 3 of the credit reporting agencies and correctly update my information. (experian, equifax and transunion) Currently there are 14 repo's showing on my credit accounts!!!

Response:

To whom it may concern,

This letter is in response to the complaint ID [redacted] submitted to you by [redacted]. She wrote that we reported her vehicle as repossessed several times and its affecting her credit in a negative manner. I did pull her credit from experian (which is the only credit agency we report to) and it shows her was repossessed in may of 2012. [redacted] vehicle WAS REPOSSESSED and then redeemed in may 2012 and it was reported correctly. her account has been reported as current since then.

Thank you for your time. If you have any questions please feel free to call me at the above number.

Review: The company processed an unauthorized payment to my checking account. An agent called and advised me a payment is due. I explained I was working (I am a truck driver) and not in a position to write down information nor did I have my routing and account number handy and advised I will call in the morning to make the payment. Without my knowledge or consent she processed a payment with information contained in my file. She then left me a voice message simply saying to call her in the morning. When I called in the morning I made my payment as I advised I would. A few days later I see the double charge on my account. That charge made my account go in the negative and I have been charged fees and have had to rearrange my bills and obligations. I, and my girlfriend called the company SEVERAL times and they were arguing that the agent did advise me and noted my file. However, the times that they say the note is made is before the time the call was even made (I have my phone records) and therefore she must have went into the file after and entered a false note. I was told they will credit my account for the payment I made but that is not a credit as it is my money. I however an not currently in a position that I can afford that at the moment. I requested my money be refunded back into my account so it will not affect my budget and I was told they could not do that. At the VERY LEAST I want them to pay for the bank fees I have accrued and the fact that it is illegal to process a payment without confirmation and consent. Each time we called they were very very rude and did not want to provide information of the bosses.Desired Settlement: I would like my refund returned to me, not posted as an early payment to next months bill ($200), bank fee ($38) and a penalty to them for the unauthorized payment (payable to who ever receives the penatly - State of NY, Government etc) , unprofessionalism and scam they are doing. Please investigate this company. They have a responsibility to advise when a payment is being deducted and provide a confirmation when payment is processed.

To Whom lt May Concem:

I'm writing this letter to respond to the complaint that was sent to your establishment by [redacted] regarding a double payment on his account. [redacted] states that !tis account was wrongfully debited a payment the day before he called and did a check by phone with us. I have checked the account files and [redacted] gave verbal permission to take a payment out on the [redacted] He then called on the [redacted] and did his usual check by phone.

Obviously, this was an accident and on [redacted]'s behalf and we wire transfen-ed a payment back to [redacted] and credited his account $38.00 as a courtesy.

If [redacted] needs anything else please call me at [redacted]

Response:

At this time, I have been contacted directly by New City Funding regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has not been resolved because:

they continue to deny that the agent took the payment without consent and with no authorization by saying it was my error but it was not. She took the payment without my authorization and no confirmation causing me to double pay. I never received the following months credit either.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Sincerely,

We are very sorry for your issue with payment. Can you please call New City Funding and speak with Maureen, our compliance manager. 845-942-0020

Review: I was recently in a car accident, a deer hit my car and crushed my windshield and the drivers side door, mirror and lights. My insurance totaled out my car. We wanted to do a "10 day buy out" which with most other Lien Holders they knock off the remaining interest (which they are charging me 24.75% which is over the maximum allowed rate for NYS) My insurance company Geico made a 3 way call to New City Funding to ask why I still owed about $5,100 on a $6,500 loan which I have already paid over $2,000 on our 30 payment loan. The women [redacted] from New City Funding said that we technically only paid a little over $1,000 toward "The Principal" of the car, which doesn't add up if you do the math !Desired Settlement: I request that the interest be corrected in my favor due to the fact that I now cannot replace my vehicle because the finance company has swallowed the rest of the money I needed for a new car. I have no method of transportation to work and I am outraged that my getting into an accident has left them with a profit and me with no way to work.

NEW CITY FUNDING CORP. RESPOND:

This letter is to address the complaint made by [redacted]. Ms. [redacted] is under the impression that we over charged her in interest for her auto loan.

The annual percentage rate that New City Funding charges New York State cus1omers is.24.75%. On the Retail Installment

contract Ms. [redacted] signed with us it did state that if she pays the loan on time for 30 months she would pay 2284.90 in interest. However,

Ms. [redacted] was in an automobile accident and Geico paid us 5163.65 for the total loss. Since the loan was paid early she only paid $994.18

in interest. Ms. [redacted] is still responsible for the remaining balance on the loan which is $273.24 for which interest will continue to accrue.

I have enclosed a copy of the retail Installment contract and her ledger.

Please feel free to call me at any time if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Review: I have asked for an itemized statement from this company about 10 times, I have it documented 5 times in writing. We have never received anything from this company showing the balance on the account, how much we have paid, when we paid, the payoff, etc. They also do not have a website where you can log in to see this information. I was also told over the phone by [redacted] that they don't answer emails when they can talk to someone on the phone, which I find to be a bit unnerving. This company does not know how to run a business and I am glad I will not have to deal with them anymore. Please have them send me a statement with all of the criteria I have requested above. Thank you for your time.Desired Settlement: I want a statement showing the beginning balance, dates and amounts of payments made, the payoff and it will need to be on a company letterhead

Review: I brought my 2007 Ford freestyle in 12/2014 I had a car accident on 2/**/15 a couple days later my car was a total loss. I did not have the title to my car I just received it on 4/**/15. But Pryor before my title being issued my insurance company gave me a price for my total loss damages to my car that was over $4000.00 and because I had a car note my the loan would be paid off and I would have the remaing balance of $1100 now the that I don't have a car due to the accident they ( new city funding) are still taking payments out of my the money that the insurance company was suppose to be issue to me now I'm only getting $900.00 back and new city funding is refusing to give back the money. In 1/2015 I paid my car note for 2/2015 and 3/2015 and still in the month of March it was paid and they are still refusing to refund my money. In there contract it does not state any fees would be taking in a total loss accident or in any total loss situationDesired Settlement: I would like the payment I made for 3/2015 and 4/2015 because during those times I did not have there car
