Prior to **. [redacted]’s scheduled move with New Horizon Movers on October 30, 2015, she was provided with our moving estimate, which clearly states our basic valuation coverage for damages and the option to purchase additional insurance. The client acknowledged receipt of our policy and elected not to purchase additional insurance. Our basic coverage for damages is $0.60 per pound per item. The item in question weighed less than 100 pounds, which in accordance to our basic evaluation coverage for damages at $0.60 per pound would total approximately $60.00. Even though we were legally bound to credit [redacted] $60.00, we felt it would be fair to refund her $150.00. [redacted] agreed with the valuation and on the day of her move, we credited the client $150.00. On October 30, 2015, [redacted] signed the “DOD Notification of Loss or Damage at Delivery” form and settled the claim for $150.00.
New Horizon Movers has a 4 hour minimum labor policy and since [redacted] was a returning customer, as a courtesy, we reduced our labor minimum to 3 hours.  Our movers worked carefully and finished in less time than the estimated 3 hours. During the move, we wrapped protective covering over the item in question as well as a TV. After the piece of furniture had broken, we waived the protective covering fees for both the broken item as well as the TV, both charges totaling $60.00.
On November 6, 2015, [redacted] contacted New Horizon Movers via email and stated how upset she was that the item in question had been broken. New Horizon Movers responded on November 6, 2015 apologizing again for the broken item and restating our basic coverage policy and that the claim was acknowledged and settled on the day of the move. We wanted to satisfy our customer, so we contacted a local glass company with an excellent reputation who said they could fix the item for $164.50. New Horizon Movers sent an email to [redacted] letting her know we could have the item fixed for her for $164.50. On November 6, 2015 she replied to our email stating that she would call them to “see what happens” and again stated she was not satisfied. We then responded with an apology and asked her what New Horizon Movers can do in order for her to feel satisfied. She responded on November 6, 2015 saying she wanted the wall unit fixed by the company of choice and wanted the cost of the move refunded.  In that same response via email, she attached an estimate from the glass company of her choice with a balance of $531.77, an amount exceeding the cost of the total move of $452. 28.
On November 9, 2015 New Horizon Movers forwarded a copy of her estimate to the glass company we had contacted earlier who again stated they could fix the item for $164.50. On November 9, 2015, New Horizon Movers responded to [redacted] reminding her we had found a glass company who could fix the broken item for $164.50. In the same email, New Horizon Movers offered to pick up, transport the broken item to the glass company, pay the difference of $14.50, and deliver and reinstall the item for her. On November 9, 2015, [redacted] responded via email refusing our option and stated that she wanted to use the company of her choice and that she wanted to be reimbursed the price of her quote, $531.77, as well as the remaining cost of the move $300.00, for a total of $831.77
New Horizon Movers has an excellent reputation and strives to satisfy our customers. We believe that we fairly settled the claim for more than the basic valuation coverage for the damage and waiving the extra $60.00 for the protective wrapping charges for a total credit of $210.00. To further settle the claim, we have offered to pick up the broken item, have it fixed from our chosen company, pay the difference from the settled amount for $14.50, and deliver and reinstall the item for [redacted].  As previously stated on, October 30, 2015, [redacted] signed the “DOD Notification of Loss or Damage at Delivery” form and settled the claim for $150.00.
We feel we went above and beyond to rectify the issue; nevertheless our offer to fix [redacted]’s broken item still stands.

I recently (June 2016) used New Horizon Movers to move my family from one four-bedroom house to another in Doylestown, PA. They were very professional and thorough throughout the entire moving process. The office staff was very informative and helpful when I was considering their company (one of the main reason I chose them).
During the move itself, the movers were very careful with all of our boxes and furniture, including our piano. They made sure that we were satisfied with each room while we were moving out and moving in. The whole crew worked quickly and efficiently, and was very considerate of my family, which includes several young children.
Their rates were competitive, and the final price matched their estimate very closely. Overall, I highly recommend New Horizon Movers. They made the moving process much easier for my family.

Excellent job. They moved our office in January of 2016 and completed the job within a single day. They were respectful and polite which is definitely something to be said when they are moving heavy desks and filing cabinets from 9am to 9pm.

This was my best move to date! The crew was professional, efficient and friendly. They did a wonderful job! I would recommend them to anyone.
Thank you New Horizon Movers!

I used their services on 12/18. I booked services for 12/18 and called on 12/14 to add additional services of packing, they made themselves available for this last minute service on 12/15 to pack my house. them overs were very personable and knowledgeable! Great experience. Highly recommended!

I hired New Horizon Movers to move the contents of my house to a new location. This is my second move with them and both experiences have been excellent. I completed a quote online and received a call back from Beryl very soon after to discuss the estimate. Three days before my move, I received a call and an email from the office confirming the move date and the amount of furniture and boxes to move.
The day of the move, three movers arrived within the specified time range. They were very nice and professional. They loaded my entire house on their truck in 4.5 hours and spent the same amount of time unloading the contents into my new home. I was impressed with how quickly but carefully they worked and happy to have found everything in perfect condition when I unpacked.
I really appreciated that Beryl, the woman who originally took my order, spoke very distinctly and easily accommodated my request to communicate via email since I find it difficult to talk on the phone. I had a few questions the night before my move and I ended up calling New Horizon late after work hours and was very surprised that someone returned my call within 5 minutes to answer my questions and make sure I was all set for the morning.
I would recommend New Horizon Movers to anyone who is planning a move. Thank you to Sonny and his crew for all the hard work!
