Our certified technician showed Mr*** with his camera the cracks in the heat exchanger advising him of the dangers and recommended at no cost to Mr*** a comfort advisor to come out to his home to discuss replacing the year old Lennox furnace. I cannot answer for the findings of another company I can stand by the diagnosis made by our trained technicianWe take pride in providing top notch service to our clients treating them as we would treat our own family looking out for their safetyEven if the cracked heat exchanger may not be leaking gases today it can at any timeWe want to make sure our clients are safe in their own homesAtlas Butler will not reimburse Mr*** he still owes on his club membership we will continue to deduct the $from his account as agreed until the contract expires on 4/30/

Complaint:
I am rejecting this response because: *** stated in her response that I did not purchase the filters, as advised in the first visit Please see invoice #498213, which is the invoice from the first visit Note that I did purchase the filters, at a cost of $ Viewing the invoice, the technician's comments confirm that I approved the filter purchase At that time, the filters were not in stock, and they delivered them the next day Meanwhile, the system quit working so clearly the filters were not the issue Never, throughout the process until the control unit recommendation was made, did I decline to follow any of their recommendations.I continue to hold my position that I hired a professional company to repair my unit I have no problem paying for services if said services correct the issue To restate, never did I decline any repairs until the third visit, when their technician stated that he only 'thought' this may correct the problem Specifically, Matt's comment on invoice #states 'starting to think the control box may have a problem' At this point, I have a lack of confidence in Atlas Butler and am unwilling to spend money on very expensive control unit without some assurance that this will correct the problem. With that being said, I do not accept any resolution other than a refund for services rendered, minus the filter purchase Thank you for your assistance, and if you need more information, please do not hesitate to contact me.Regards,

No where in the Response from Atlas Butler does it address the fact that the information the Tech gave me regarding the "new government regulations" that went into effect weeks prior to my service call and that the Freon price is now $a pound or $for the pounds I received (per the price category book the tech had)Also nothing addressed about them being among a select few business' that are allowed to have access to the FreonThis is what my complaint is about, the fact that a business can tell you any thing just to get a sale and to heck with the consumer as long as the business makes moneyI have reviewed other complaints about this business on Revdex.com website) and I am not the only consumer to comment about a tech explaining this is a new government regulationThis practice must be stopped and the company made responsible for conducting unscrupulous business practices This needs to be brought to the publics attention, sooner rather than later! I am still requesting a refund for the inflated price of the FreonLocal companies are charging a pound, price is still effective by todays calls

From: *** *** Sent: Sunday, June 04, 10:AMTo: Revdex.comSubject: Re: You have a new message from the Revdex.com of Central Ohio in regards to your complaint #***I did not recieve notification that Atlas Butler respondedI want this complaint reopened and I want them to provide a break down of chargesI want to know what they charged for the tank, labor and taxesWe do not want any year service membership for $ There is a discrepency of approximately $not accountableWe have had another plumber out for a second opinion and they said she should have paid no more than $for entire bill I WANT A BREAK DOWN OF CHARGESBy law, they have to provide that

10.24.14 Consumer filed duplicate complaint.
Consumer’s Original Complaint:
I pay a monthly fee to have my HVAC system serviced twice a year.. Yesterday, upon servicing my furnace I was told that the blower capacitor needed to be replace. Upon replacing the capacitor I was told the charge for the...

new capacitor, an $8.00 item retail, would be $169.00, almost 22 times the retail cost. I believe I was gouged on their assumption I would just pay their significantly over priced charged. I spoke with the one of the supervisors at the office to no satisfaction
Consumer’s Desired Resolution:
cancel my residential account. I don't want to do business with this company any more. I've been a long time client, over 10 years

The trained technician was never able to find the cracks to show me, he only stated there were cracks, when he called me to the basement to show me, he was not able to find any crack or cracks with his camera.  Extremely disappointed with this service and response.

Mr. [redacted] singed up for the maintenance agreement with Atlas Butler's certified technician Alex on 6/02/2014. The  maintenance was completed on the air conditioner 6/2/14 and the furnace on 12/1/14. Mr. [redacted] called into our office 1/30/15 upset because of the diagnosis he received...

on his 2003 Trane furnace which our certified technician who had to condemn/ red tag the furnace due to safety issues.  Mr. [redacted] demanded to have his maintenance agreement canceled.  Mr. [redacted] has been advised the  maintenance agreement has been canceled but he still has an unpaid balance of $79.80 to pay off the contract in which he received the services and discounts under.  I have attached the invoices for services rendered. Atlas Butler provided the services under the maintenance agreement and will stand firm on the balance of $79.80.[redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:This is an unreasonable response. Why I am using other company? Because Revdex.com shut down my furnace, gave me a sky high price to replace my prior furnace with an unknown brand.  I have to have somebody replace it.  They are misleading, trying to fool me to replace my brand new furnace. Anybody in my position will use other company. Anybody can tell it is their fault, they refuse to admit it. Why I filled water? Because the furnace was already replaced and trashed! I wanted to find out if it was leak or not! Plus, using water to test leaking did not destroy the furnace, it was their their technician destroyed the furnace.    Regards,
[redacted]

The invoice attached is the only breakdown that will be provided. The charges were pre-authorized and the 6 year warranty is included cannot be canceled it is included with the installation of the 40 gallon Hot Water Tank. Respectfully,Mary J[redacted]

I have advised Mr. [redacted] Atlas Butler will be refunding a check in the amount of $620 it can take 7-10 business days the check will be sent via mail.

Atlas Butlers technicians are certified , bonded and fully trained in HVAC.  We offered to send out a Residential Field Manager John V[redacted] out on 2 occasions at no cost and to go over the readings with our equipment. Mr. [redacted] refused he stated he did not want Atlas Butler out to his home....

We have refunded the $239.40 for a maintenance agreement even though the maintenance was completed oh the furnace and air conditioner.  At this time Atlas Butler has done all that we can do to for Mr. [redacted]!     Respectfully, Mary L. On 03/06/15 Atlas Butler’s certified technician Chuck [redacted] was dispatched out on a not working furnace call to [redacted]. Upon arrival he cycled and tested found the system would not ignite in the combustion chamber. Atlas Butler’s certified technician  Chuck [redacted] checked the pressure switch , proper voltage on both units everything checked out ok. Upon further inspection he found securing nuts to the combustion chamber loose allowing improper air/fuel ration for combustions. Atlas Butler’s certified technician Chuck [redacted] tightened and secured the nuts, then cycled and tested the system approximately 15 times the system was operating properly at that time. On 3/15/15 Atlas Butler’s certified technician Matt [redacted] was dispatched on a not working furnace call to [redacted]. Upon arrival he discovered the system would not fire up he them went to the systems thermostat turned it on heat and the system fired up. He changed the filter that was previously ordered, inspected the air flow, tested the switch , checked the vent and cleaned the flames sensor and igniter, checked the tube for cracks and found no issues with the system after cycling the system approximately 17 times with no issues . He them contacted  Atlas Butler’s certified technician Chuck [redacted] regarding his visit on 3/6/15 confirming he also found no issues. Atlas Butler’s certified technician Matt [redacted] advised the manager [redacted] everything is working properly when firing up the system. [redacted] manager [redacted] wanted  an explanation why this was reoccurring Matt [redacted] advised [redacted] it could be problem with the controller. [redacted]  [redacted] wanted a guarantee that the problem was the controller Matt [redacted] expressed to [redacted] as at the current time the system is operating properly as it was on the last visit 3/6/15 and he could not guarantee. Mr. [redacted] called Atlas Butler a third time claiming the furnaces was again not working properly. He declined having an Atlas Butler certified technician out stated he just wanted it on record. Atlas Butler did not charge [redacted] for the visits on 3/6/15 or 3/11/15. At this time Atlas Butler stands firm that we have fulfilled our obligation with the work we performed to provide heat to [redacted].

I am rejecting this response because:  I was advised by the service technician, Alex T[redacted], when I initially signed up that I could cancel membership at anytime without any further payment. The service agreement states, "If you are not 100% satisfied with our service or repair you do not pay." I became dissatisfied when on 1/28/15 Atlas Butler certified technician Chris S[redacted]r inspected my furnace which shut off. He red tagged my furnace and left my wife, kids and I without heat in freezing weather because, per his inspection, it was "unsafe". He stated the furnace was locked out due to an open roll out and it appeared to have a crack in the heat exchanger. The technician was more interested in selling me a $3,000-$5,000 furnace than fixing a completely repairable furnace! My family and I were left in the cold until I called another company for a second opinion. The technician from the other company replaced the open roll out and repaired the furnace and it has been working fine since! There were no signs of a cracked heat exchanger or the furnace being unsafe! I have honored my end of the contract and paid monthly payments for all services rendered. I owe nothing further to Atlas Butler and will stand firm on that position.

[redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:  [redacted] stated in her response that I did not purchase the filters, as advised in the first visit.  Please see invoice #498213, which is the invoice from the first visit.  Note that I did purchase the filters, at a cost of $693.  Viewing the invoice, the technician's comments confirm that I approved the filter purchase.  At that time, the filters were not in stock, and they delivered them the next day.  Meanwhile, the system quit working so clearly the filters were not the issue.  Never, throughout the process until the control unit recommendation was made, did I decline to follow any of their recommendations.I continue to hold my position that I hired a professional company to repair my unit.  I have no problem paying for services if said services correct the issue.  To restate, never did I decline any repairs until the third visit, when their technician stated that he only 'thought' this may correct the problem.  Specifically, Matt's comment on invoice #508335 states 'starting to think the control box may have a problem'.  At this point, I have a lack of confidence in Atlas Butler and am unwilling to spend money on very expensive control unit without some assurance that this will correct the problem. With that being said, I do not accept any resolution other than a refund for services rendered, minus the filter purchase.  Thank you for your assistance, and if you need more information, please do not hesitate to contact me.
