Nissan of State College Reviews (44)

Review: I own an Audi A4 2002 and last July 2014, I got a new radio( called Audi Navigation plus RNS-E) which was obtained from a newer Audi model. I called the dealer in my town to get it installed and they answered me: No, we can't install it. So I called Audi State College (45miles away) and told them that I want this radio to be installed and also asked them to install also a satellite receiver module in order to get sirius radio in my car. All part were supplied by me( the radio & the receiver module) and I notified them that my car isn't pre-wired to accept the satellite radio, so asked them will you be able to do all this for me? The service attendant checked with the technician and told me Yes, we can. When they were installing the new radio, they told me they've found that my radio can get satellite radio without the need of the receiver module! After installation is done, the navigation(NAV) screen and the FM/AM were fine but no sirius radio, no NAV directions showed in my dashboard, and a continuous humming noise from the speakers whether the car is no or off. I returned to them again to get this fixed and left the car for a couple of days. They contacted me and told me that they couldn't get NAV directions on dashboard but another technician will try to do it the next week. So they brought my car to me and rescheduled for next week. When I got the car, I've found that the NAV isn't working at all even in the radio unit itself beside the other issues, so I ended up with just an FM/AM radio. When they took the car for the 3rd time, I told them about all my issues. The other technician wasn't able to get the NAV direction on my dashboard or even fixing anything. So I told them either reimburse me or refer me to another place where I can get this done in the right way. The manager refused and said that the new radio didn't come with the car from the factory, so we can't guarantee that it will work 100%. How can I pay $369.36 for a service and then being told that we can't guarantee it?Desired Settlement: I would like to get a full refund, please. The manager claims that they can't guarantee that it will work 100% but nobody told me this from the start.I chose the dealer assuming that they will know the best about my car. If they told me that they can't guarantee it will work, I could have gone to another place. I was clear from the beginning about what I need to be done and didn't push them to do it. They could have said No we can't as the dealer in my town did. Thank you so much

When Mr. [redacted] came in for his appointment he was informed we couldn't guarantee the repair due to the fact Mr. [redacted] couldn't tell us what vehicle or model the part came out of. We installed the part at his request and unfortunately the radio wasn't compatible. Mr. [redacted] also supplied us with a Sirius radio antenna for the navigation. It needed to be a navigation antenna. Mr. [redacted] requested to speak to me at this point. When I walked up to Mr. [redacted] he stated "you must think all I do is complain". Mr. [redacted] and myself have dealt with each other before about him not wanting to pay for repairs. I asked Mr. [redacted] what year and model of vehicle did the parts come out of and he couldn't answer. I asked then for the VIN of the vehicle it came out of to see if it was compatible and he couldn't supply. I then asked did he have any information on this radio as far as work instruction and he said no. I told him at that point I had double the time in the repair than what I had charged him. And without the correct parts I couldn't fix his vehicle. He at this point wanted his money back. I told him the repairs had been completed and that he had been informed it may not work. I told him I would not refund the money but if he found the correct radio I would install it free of charge. Again, this isn't the first time I've dealt with Mr. [redacted] over a situation like this. We tried resolving the issue with a simple solution but he just doesn't want to pay. Thanks, [redacted]

Review: The dealership purchased a remote starter for my vehicle from a third party and installed it on my vehicle. Later, I had vehicle issues which the dealer traced back to the remote starter. They subsequently removed the remote starter and returned it to the original vendor. I was promised a refund which I have not received. The starter was installed last winter and removed this past summer 2015.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive the refund that I was promised since I paid for something that (a) caused my vehicle to become defective and (b) the product was removed from the vehicle. I have since traded in the vehicle and I still don't have the refund.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

1. I returned the part to the business more than six months ago. If I return something to a store, they refund me then and whatever happens between them and their vendor is not my concern. Why is this situation any different?

Review: seller had item listed on ebay with photo's and we made an contract though ebay I would pay $7200.00 for the vehicle when I went to pick up and fulfill contract seller refused to sell photoed item for the agreed price.Desired Settlement: I want to fulfill contract and get vehicle

Dear Mr. Baker,

This was simply a case of the wrong photo being attached to the right description and VIN number, Our

Ad depicted a 2006 XC90 with full description. A photo for a 2007 XC90 V8 was used by mistake. We

explained what happened and did make the described 2006 XC90 available. My sales person spoke to an

EBay representative who told is this sometimes happens, but as long as our description and vin number

was correct we were okl I personally offered several other SUV'S to the customer at our cost to try to

make him happy to no avail. I also offered to fill up his gas tank to compensate him for his time. There

was no way to put a deal together on the pictured unit as it was $10,000 more.

Review: I purchased a 2007 Subaru Forester from this dealership. After two weeks of driving this car I could smell gas inside the car and on the outside of the car. Another two weeks went by and the check engine light and the cruise light came onSeptember 10th in the a.m.So after work I took the car to [redacted] and they put it on the puter. The puter said I had a gas leak. I contacted my Sales person whom was Deb M[redacted] and she told me to bring the car over and they would give me a loaner.

I took the car over September 10 2015 and I waited until the following Wednesday to contact them since they said they would contact me. I spoke to Travis on the phone and he said he was surprised the car was still sitting their and I said no one called me. He said he found nothing wrong with the car and he reset the computer .I said something had to be wrong with it I told travis the car smelled and the gas mileage was terrible.Travis said he would have [redacted] look at it. I told him that would be great.

So [redacted] in State college looked at the car and said they couldn't find anything wrong with the car since the nissan dealership cleared all the codes.I also talked to Subaru and they also informed me that the codes should not have been reset till and authorized Subaru dealership looked at the codes.

So on friday September 18 2015 I picked the car up.I did not start smelling gas until September 29. I called travis at the Nissan dealership who said he would get back to me Friday. I didn't here back from Travis until I got an email about giving their dealership positive feedback for the great service.I did a reply and said how could I give positive feedback when the car wasn't fixed. So on October 2 I finally heard back from travis and he said he was waiting to hear back from subaru and that he would be in touch I have heard nothing from Travis.I called Subaru and they said Travis of Nissan has never called them about my car

The car has a new inspection sticker on it and emissions sticker on it which is kinda of funny that it smells of gas.

This is the second car we have bought from them and have had a problem with something being wrong with the car.Desired Settlement: I just want the car fixed.Smelling of gas off and on maked me sick

Response:

I've spoken numerous times with [redacted] at this point. I am picking up her vehicle on 10-12-15 to check for the fuel leak. The vehicle has been to other places and they have been unable to find the issue. I will check over the vehicle to help customer.
