I had an extremely positive experience with a service claim for commercial auto insurance, for which NARS was the subcontractor. The claim was recorded and processed expeditiously, and they helped me manage the process with the repair shop. I was especially impressed by the insurance adjuster that I worked with, Renee G., who is an outstanding professional - very efficient, short response time (sometimes after working hours), courteous, no-nonsense and to the point. As soon as the service was completed last night, I received an email confirmation from her that the check is being emailed to me.

Insurance company will not respond to calls relating to repairs needed on my vehicle.
On July 11, 2018 NARS insured backed into my truck twice at *** in Baytown, TX causing damages in excess of $12k. NARS was very prompt about sending an adjuster to my home the next day. The adjuster said it was $7574.33 in damages and told me if the truck has more than the said damages contact NARS and they will contact the body shop and cut an additional check for the rest of the damages. Truck goes in the shop and they found more damages than the adjuster quoted and on top of that parts was not available for the bed of the truck cause NARS insured hit the bed on the drivers side of my truck destroying it. And their insured ran so it was a hit and run luckily I got the tag number. The damages totaled to be $12,744.61 the shop has been calling NARS for over a week and no response. So my truck is in the shop and the Adjuster *** gives me a really hard time about the extention of the rental car simply because he found out I retained a lawyer. His main concern was about me having a lawyer instead of extending the rental car. I have been calling numerous times and no response. My lawyer called *** and *** was rude and disrespectful to him. *** called the body shop and was rude and disrespectful to him. These people are very unprofessional and should not have an A rating because people are having the same complaints. However NARS did send a check for $7574.33 I got it on 7/26/18. My truck is still in the shop and they are not going to start the repairs until NARS authorize the additional funds for them to make the repairs.

Desired Outcome

I just want them to pay the amount needed to fully repair my vehicle and pay all rental car expenses.

North American Risk Services is the Third Party Administrator for certain policies issued by United Specialty Insurance Co. We have reviewed our file regarding the accident *** was involved in and are responding to the complaint filed.
As indicated, Mr. received a payment for the appraised damages and was placed in a rental car for the estimated down time of the repairs. Mr. subsequently called requesting an extension of rental, as his vehicle had not yet been repaired, yet our office had not received any information from the body shop as to why there was a delay.
Our office contacted the body shop, who requested a reinspection of the vehicle as some of the damaged area would need to be replaced instead of repaired. They also indicated the additional repairs would take weeks. As this seemed to be a lengthy period of time, we requested an appraiser contact the body shop to clarify the additional repairs the additional weeks of repair time.
Mr. rental has been extended through August 20, 2018. Upon receipt of the supplement from the appraiser, the additional repairs and downtime will be addressed.

Claim has been filed for accident in 12/2017, company refuses to call or respond to emails regarding status of claim.
their insured driver hit our locomotive causing damage to both. We filed a claim and they asked for additional information which we have always promptly supplied. Thomas Wanser will not return calls or respond to emails so I escalated to Supr,
steve Mulkey, same thing no response, no payment nothing. Today I spoke with Grace and she indicated that it was our fault that our locomotive was in our crossing when their driver who was looking down at the time, hit our locomotive.

Desired Outcome

our desire is that they pay the claim, we have had to pay for all costs associated with claim and since they were at fault, we would like them to pay or advise why they are not paying.

It is true that they finally called me back and actually sent the payment, but they neglected to respond to the main complaint, that their lack of customer service is what caused us to have to escalate the situation to numerous people in their organization. Had they simply called or emailed to all of our multiple calls and emails, we would have never had to escalate this matter. That is our complaint, their lack of customer service and complete lack of communication, until they absolutely have to. They also failed to mention that we had to reduce the amount of the billing by $1000.00 in order to settle. They wanted a reduction of $2000 to begin with (after months of reviewing the case they finally advised us of this.) The matter is settled as far as we are concerned but the need for their company to develop some actual customer service is still wide open.
