I originally contacted *** *** *** and I guess Ocean Movers is subcontracted through themThe movers showed up right when they said they would (am on August 22nd)The lead mover explained all the paperwork for meWhat was surprising was that he said they didn't move food (I didn't have any) or liquidsLiquids ended up including my make-up, shampoo bottles, perfume, and cleaning suppliesI was not thrilled with this since I had already planned on taking a lot of stuff with me in my carThus, things were definitely more crampedThe entire apartment was packed and loaded in three hours, but I wasn't happy that the lead mover said to keep my front door open to be able to get more boxesIt was late August in Florida, and my AC was going right outsideThe other movers were also very sweaty and appeared uncomfortableThe lead mover was also rather curt at times, which I did not likeEverything appeared to be packed well, but that later turned out not to be trueWhen everything was loaded I was informed that my new shipping estimate, which was originally $3k, was not $4,I was NOT happyI also felt pressured by the lead mover to tip everyone, even though I did not feel that all of them deserved itBefore leaving I was also told that I would be charged if I kept the movers waiting when they delivered my furniture
When I arrived in Texas I was informed that my furniture would not arrive until September 1st or 2ndI knew it could take up to two weeks to deliver everything, but I only had someone staying with me
until September 25th, and I could not take time off my new job to receive my furnitureI had also previously informed the moving company about thisI lucked out, and my things were delivered on the 27thThat was the only lucky thingThe movers required a post office money order for the balance of what I owed; not a money order from anywhere elseI am not sure why it had to be a PO money order, but it did seem sketchyThe movers also called me a few days prior to deliverying my furniture that my total would be $4,I was shockedI was originally informed that the movers would weigh the truck before and after my furniture was loaded, and that would be the cost of moving ($0.60/lbs)When the movers left they did not leave in the same direction which they came, so I don't know if they went straight to a scale or notI also don't know if they filled the truck's gas tank before or after weighing my furnitureI feel that the movers used the high estimate to be able to charge me more I was also informed by the person staying with me to recieve my furniture, that the movers were very rude to her and that they had broken one of my chairsI later learned that they had also scratched my coffee tableI was suprised since it
appeared that everything had been well wrapped in blanketsThis inducates to me that there must have been a lot of force put on my wood furniture in order to scratch it through such a thick blanketI have yet to check my other wood furniture for scratches
Overall, I would NEVER recommend these movers to anyoneI am just happy the whole expience is over
I booked Ocean moving & storage last monthThey arrived on time to pick up my household goods and did a really good job making sure that nothing was damagedThey got all my belongings to another state in one week and I was really impressed with that as wellWhen my belongings arrived it was in the same condition that it was when it left, and their fee for the move was also very reasonable and they did a great packing for the items needs to be packed and was no additional costThanks guys for making your customer happy!!
Ocean moving & storage made impossible possible. They took on the responsibility of moving our belongings and did a swell job at it. Let me add that we had way too many things that needed to be moved. The movers were punctual, organized and skillful. They paid attention to what we were saying and making suggestions. It really was a collaborative effort among the movers to conduct this move. The delivery was made on the scheduled date and most of our things traveled well. It really was quite a successful move. These guys are just the best!
I have been a customer of Ocean Moving & Storage for years. They've helped me with several moves. I've also used their storage services for long-term storage while in between homes. There are many moving companies, but I wouldn't even shop around because I know I will be treated well, my property will be treated gently, and my work will be done expediently. Their movers don't mess around when it's time to work. They go at it like it's their money being spent. Highly recommended.

We've never hired a moving company before (preferring to be those annoying people who call upon friends and family for any relocation assistance) but at 8 1/2 months pregnant we decided it was time to bring in the professionals. They were efficient, friendly, and careful. And all on one of the hottest days in the city. Would definitely recommend and will be using them in the future (friends and family breathe a huge sigh of relief)
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. This was the absolute worst case scenario I could have possibly imagined for my move. They lost a third of my boxes (and subsequently EVERY THING that held any meaning for me is now gone). What they didn't lose, they destroyed. I got only excuses, rudeness and disrespect from the company. They don't call back when they promise to and their claims policies don't even amount to enough money to justify taking the time to file a claim. Besides, all the money in the world cannot replace your sentimental items such as family photos, mementos of a loved one who has passed, your professional portfolio or countless other things. If you use this company, you will regret it. You are better off moving yourself.
I was just so reluctant to hire a moving company. But ocean moving & storage convinced me. They were very experienced and took a very gentle but thorough approach in moving and carrying out my old pieces of furniture. They were very careful while loading them. When I received my furniture, I was absolutely ecstatic. All the pieces traveled without a scratch. I don't think I would be scared of hiring moving companies again since these guys did such a good job. They were really inexpensive as well.

The team who did the move was incredible. They made me feel like I didn't have to worry about a thing. My stuff was treated carefully, the move was fast and easy. All the guys were nice.

But ocean moving & storage was the one which saved us. They not only took us in, but also gave us a good deal. Everything else from that point was easy as cake. None of our belongings were damaged and the delivery was on time. You certainly get my recommendation!
