A company that refuses to have a up to date delivery system on there websiteTo let you select a date and time but then say we might not be able to deliver during that timeThen they call and say it will be weeks later We are in and with all this technology this site refuses to put a delivery system in itRather let u think it can be deliveredAlmost like fraud to misleading on your delivery

I ordered yards worth of top soil to be delivered to my house I placed the order on a Thursday and when I was asked when I wanted it to be delivered they offered me the same day, next day or Saturday I chose next day (Friday) and went about renting a skid steer to move all the soil When I arrived home after 6pm on Friday I discovered that the delivery had not been made Upon contacting the business promptly at 8am on Saturday I was told that deliveries were not made the prior day because of inclement weather and all the store locations closed They agreed to make my delivery first since it was due the day before when the delivery driver arrived at work because he was also late At arrival, they only delivered half of my order (which was not communicated at any point in my prior contact) due to weight concerns When I inquired with the driver as to why he only brought half of the load he told me about the truck only being able to handle that amount of weight at one time I

Why the change?

I purchased bags of Absolute Red mulch and paid to have it delivered to my homeOnce we started to apply the mulch we noticed that many of the bags were covered with a white moldWe also found that the mulch was very dry and smelled mustyThe color was not red, it was more brown even though the bags were called Absolutely RedWe also found large un shredded chunks of mulch and some had rusty nails in themWe had to dispose of at least bags of the mulch as it was unusableI contacted Ohio Mulch through their web site to complainI got an email back from their owner Ron Frost who apologized and said he would make it rightI proposed back to him that they replace or refund half of my purchase and I would be ok with itI never heard back from themSo days later I used a Chat feature on their web site and was told that Mrfrost was a very busy man and that he would call me at 4:00pm that dayI never got a call nor have I been issued a refund or offered replacement

I would strongly not recommend Ohio MulchI ordered mulch several weeks in advance and it was scheduled for delivery on 5/13/I called at 3:PM and was told deliveries in my area were just startingThe mulch was never deliveredOn 5/14, I called and spoke with a female RepI requested to speak with Mgrand she said that he was not available but his name was Don and he would call me backWhen she put me on hold I overheard her telling him about the issue and he responded, "Oh ***." This is to respond to the above-captioned Complaint filed with the Ohio Revdex.com.Complainant purchased bags of Mulch, product # *** at one of Ohio Mulch company-owned stores in OhioComplainant was charged the standard "in-store" price of $per bagHowever, Complainant
indicated that he saw a price advertised "on-line" for $per bag; and then allegedly complained to the Store Personnel about the price differential.Ohio Mulch does a significant volume of advertising in various media outlets, including radio, television, print and "on-line." In the on-line advertising that Complainant saw the price of $per bag, it is clearly stated that this specific pricing was for "on-line" orders and purchases ONLY, meaning that the $price/bag was not available for purchases made at the store itself.This is not an unusual circumstance or situation, as many retailers (local, regional and national) use this methodology of varied pricing for products sold "on-line" versus the same products sold at a specific storeIt is my understanding that Complainant was advised of this differenceIt is clearly not a situation of or deceptive advertising, nor is it any sort of "bait and switch." The on line advertising specifically sated it was for "on-line" purchase ONLY.However, as an upstanding corporate citizen of this State, we want to offer the following to the Complainant, a resident of Kentucky, I believe. I was supposed to have a delivery on Saturday, never showed up Called Sunday morning, said they had a truck break down(which is most likely a lie, it appears to be their excuse based on other negative reviews on *** and ***) and it was on its way and would be there before noon Never showed up again So I tried calling again, btw, its nearly impossible to get a hold of anyone, the phone rings and rings and eventually gets bounced to another location who says they cant help because they aren't the correct location The mulch was finally delivered Monday afternoon, but I received two different types of product when I only ordered one What a mess, I was told "Ron F*" was going to contact me to help resolve my issue, another empty promise

Ordered bags of black Prestige mulch with a season long color guarantee on 5/23/ Weeks after laying the mulch the color started to fade, so I contacted Ohio Mulch on 7/20/asking about the warranty on the product I was emailed by Ron F*, who told me to call him Since this date, I have emailed him times, called and left messages numerous times, and have never received a call back at all The mulch is supposed to have a color warranty, which is why I purchased the more expensive kind, but since I cannot get Ohio Mulch to return a call or email, the warranty is pretty useless

This company recently had a fantastic promotion for a particular kind of mulch - $a bag and $for delivery If it sounds too good to be true - it is We ordered our mulch on April 24, paid and was given a delivery date of May May - no mulch Upon contacting the company the receptionist told us they had "sold out" of whatever mulch we bought and had no idea when we would be receiving the product Left a message with the Director of Retail Sales to please call usRon F* or *** as he called himself in the email told us to call him and he would walk us through the delivery process I didn't need walked through the process - it's simple enough I buy the product and you delivery it on said day Apparently not at Ohio MulchI understand a lot of people took advantage of this promotion At what point did Ohio Mulch realize they had more demand than supply? Certainly before my delivery date How about a simple phone call and offer of a refund? No, I had to do it all on my own with little or no help from "Frosty" who has yet to call usWe cancelled the order and are waiting on a refund - so this may turn into a complaint rather than a review Very disappointed at customer service and the entire promotion that is not available
