"Ike" fixed our a/c problem and ensured everything was working properly. He arrived on time and did a thorough job. Ike explained the problem and brought the proper parts to fix it. Professional, timely, courteous and friendly. Thank you.
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID[redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  
1) One Hour heatng & Air was notified of the mess that their technician left in my house on the day it happened within 15 minutes of the tech leaving my home.  Two phone calls were placed. On  the third transfer of the first call, I was disconnected.  One the second, the call was disconnected on the 2nd transfer.  Since the problems were explained to multiple people, I assumed it would be handled but never received any responses or call backs.
2) One Hour Heating & Air's employees in no way showed good customer service, did not go above & beyond or made any effort to help resolve any problems or issues with the AC.  They refused to do anything to clear the drain on the unit.  Mr. [redacted] was rude, condescending and did not know what he was doing. He was actually asked to leave my home twice early on in his time on my property but would not do so.  Instead he wound up doing more harm than good. 
3) As of yesterday morning and the conversation with [redacted], no one had offered to replace the PVC drain at One Hour's cost.  I offered to pay to for the job just to get it done and that was the sum of that conversation.  This offer was also a complete turnaround from the 2 techs who said they were not going to touch the drain.
Plumber & AC Update
Plumber - The black stack pipe is and has not been clogged at any point in time
AC Update - Second opinion revealed that [redacted] should never had attempted to clean any portion of the coils and he did not do anything but clean a small portion.  The method that he used, wire brush, was incorrect and he compounded any problems that may have been starting to occur and did more harm than good.  The drain has been cleared for now & did have large chunks of black crud in it from M. [redacted] lack of cleaning up the inside of the unit. It was a fairly easy fix that would have taken either one of the techs just a few minutes.  The unit is old and the coils are too compromised to clean.
Final Note - I have used this company for many years with my ex-husband and used them last year.  The prior experiences were all good and there was never any problems.  I find it inexcusable that this company can not admit that their tech, [redacted], did only part of what he was paid to do, did it incorrectly and do not think that anything is wrong with his demeanor and how he treated me. None of this is or was acceptable.  This claim was not filed lightly.  It was filed because this company made too many veiled and outright remarks that I had done something wrong or was lying about the events.
I did not ask them for anything or restitution in regards to the messes that I cleaned up or the ongoing problems from that first visit.  My only request was for them to fix the problem that [redacted] had caused through his ineptitude and lack of knowledge.
I have now paid 2 AC companies and a plumber only to find out that One Hour Heating & Air's diagnosis of the issue was incorrect.  And all of this because of a tech who did not know what he was doing, did not do what he was paid for which then compounded issues with the AC unit and does not know what customer service is.  

Airwise found the system having a dirty evaporator coil which will keep the unit from cooling properly as well as cause further damage to the system.  We collected the service fee which we are required to collect according to the home warranty company's policy and gave the customer their options moving forward. We try to give every customer, regardless of their age, all of their options.  Along with other options, one that we felt at least needed to be presented is the option to replace the system.  New systems can pay for themselves with the money you save on your electric bills.  Airwise presents each customer with all of their options and then proceeds how they desire.  In this case the homeowner decided that they did not want to pay their portion of the cost associated with the necessary repairs according to their home warranty company and therefore no repair was made.
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 12076631, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  The check can be sent to [redacted]. 

Airwise technicians are supposed to go over charges with customers before continuing on work.  As every call is different they handle their own price quoting after arriving at the home.  Although Airwise feels that this process was handled correctly and we only collected for charges that...

were approved before work was performed; we are still going to refund the $99.95 which is what you requested as a settlement.  Thanks,Airwise

Informative and professional, answered all questions in a way that I could understand. Will look forward to working with him in the future.

Technician Antwain [redacted] was very professional and helpful when installing my igniter switch to my heater unit. He explained everything in detail and explained what he was doing. He also suggested with the age of the unit (17 yrs) he suggested getting it replaced, gave me some suggested prices and recommendations. He was totally professional from the time he arrived to the time he left.

This is [redacted] the OPS Manager at One Hour Air, I have contaced the customer and talked to him about the issue he as brought to our attention. We agree that a refund of $275 for the service on 06/19/2014. I also wanted to give [redacted] a 1 yr. Maintenance for the trouble we have caused the...

customer. [redacted] was very happy about the resolution that him and I came up with. He said he will be writing the back to explain that he is happy with the comapny and will be using us for future work need, and that we are a stand up company when faced with cutomer issues.

Have used One Hour A/C and Heating for several years. I find them well qualified in service; explain what they do; prompt in their service calls and stand by their record. I feel confident in having them maintain my heating and A/C.

I call One Hour AC around 2100hs 3/19/15 Paid the extra 40 dollars to have the come out between 0800-1200hrs They called 3/20 around 0800hrs said they would not be able to come out to the hours of 1200-1700hrs the tech did not get here to after 6,00pm. the tech said the compressor, fan and 2 other things were bad and he would not be able to get to it till the next day for a total of 2,285.00. and they charge me 99.00$ for this. So I called someone else and they came out the next morning it took the tech ten minutes to repair this one wire and we have cool air.

My 2 year old grandchild had to sit in all that heat that one hot day & all I had to do is just call someone else.


One hour has always been honest, on time and very thorough with their work. The technicians are experienced, friendly and very clean when working inside and out.

We have had new air conditioning units and hot water heaters installed and all jobs were well done.

We called One Hour AC and Heating in Covington on the recommendation of a friend and have used them for several years. Have been happy with their service. The serviceman who has always been here, Charles, knows what he's doing and is very helpful explaining things, personable and polite.

The tech that performed my service call was extremely knowledgable and expained to me everything that he was doing. I was very satisfied with the service performed and the results that were accomplished.

I have been having issues with my air conditioning unit for years and have had several companies out to try to remedy the problems, including the one that did the installation of a new 4 ton American Standard unit in 2012. Only when Mark [redacted] with One Hour Air inspected the system did I learn that my single 20x20 return air duct was totally inadequate for my size unit. My duct work, 27 years old, had also deteriorated and needed to be replaced. Charles and Damien performed the installation of the duct work and new return and they were extremely competent and professional as well as cordial. For the first time in years, I have a comfortable home environment. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Many thanks to all the folks at One Hour Air!!

Excellent, honest and professional-ALWAYS. One Hour has serviced and installed our AC/Heating units for many years and have always been a pleasure to work with. They use quality products that last, technicians are experienced and willing to answer any question you have. Office staff is courteous and respectful and strive to schedule appointments to best suit your needs.

Couldn't ask for better service!

Always prompt, courteous and professional. Of the A/C service companies we have ever used, One Hour is by far the best. Everything is explained in very concise, clear terms, that a lay person has no problem understanding. They are always very upfront about every facet of the work being done: time required, cost, maintenance.
