This letter acknowledges the receipt of a consumer complaint dated October 9, As you know, Oxmoor Mazda appreciates the opportunity to respond whenever a customer complaint is brought to our attention. On or about April 30, Mr*** purchased a new Mazda CXwith miles from Oxmoor
Mazda. On May 13, Mr*** returned to Oxmoor Mazda to have the windows on his vehicle tinted and there was no mention of the vehicle pulling at that time, The mileage was at 481.On July 20, Mr*** returned for his first oil change and the odometer showed miles drivenAt that time Mr*** reported that the vehicle was pulling to the leftOxnoor Mazda performed an alignment inspection and could not find anything wrong with the suspension partsThe rear toe was slightly out of specification and an adjustment was performedThe vehicle was test driven and did not pull to the left any longer. On September 1, Mr*** came back to Oxmoor Mazda and stated that his vehicle is still pulling to the left and the left front tire is leaking airAt that time the vehicle had milesThe technician found a nail in the left front tire and after repairing and test driving the vehicle there was no pulling to the left.On November 11, Mr*** brought in his vehicle with 10,miles and stated that it was slightly pulling to the left when driving 65mph on the highwayHe described it more of a drift than a pullThe technician found that the vehicle did not have an alignment issue, but that the drift may be due to the road surface, He also noted that the low tire light was on.On December 4, Mr*** returned with a concern that his console lid was loose and a wheel stud was strippedHe did not mention a pull or drift from the vehicle. In February 15, Mr*** came to Oxmoor Mazda Service to have his oil changedAgain, he did not mention a pull or drift from the vehicle. On July 7, Mr*** returned for routine maintenance with 20,miles, and did not mention any pull or drift from the vehicle.Mr*** mentioned that his tires were losing air, which is a conditionAir must be added to vehicle's tires periodically and more in cold weather.Mr*** stated that the cause of the accident on August 17, was hydroplaningHydroplaning occurs when a layer of water builds between the wheels of the vehicle and the road surface, leading to a loss of traction that prevents the vehicle from responding to control inputsThere is no evidence that the accident was caused by the vehicle drifting or pulling into a certain direction,While I regret that Mr*** is dissatisfied, nothing is due or owed to him in regards to this complaint,Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me,Sincerely, *** *** See attachment for original

That's a lieWhen I got my car at miles, not (not that it makes a big difference but I want to tell it exactly how it was), I drove the car home and to work the next day and paid close attention to the handlingMostly because my previous car drifted and I wanted a car that didn't drift or have any other issuesSo, the very next day I called them and told them about that issue and the mainly other problems my car had (most of which Mazda didn't fix until several months later and the other issues they still haven't fixed or even tried to inspect)When they started to ignore my calls I started to email them to have proof of what I was telling themAnd when the corporate office sent me a survey about my experience I told them about my issues and I even sent them an email mentioning that I had a drifting issue which they never responded toAnd over time I sent Oxmoor several emails to different employees about my issuesThey kept giving me the runaroundAnother issue I even reported on the survey and to Oxmoor is that my tires kept losing air too quickly, the same issue I still have (not just when it's cold out)There's something wrong with my car's handling whether or not Oxmoor wants to admit to itThis could've been avoided when I got the car if they had only went on the highway and seen it for themselvesSo me telling them this didn't start after having the car for a long time but as soon as I got it.

OM mentions that I never mentioned my issue until my first oil change, which they know is a lieI called the first time to have it looked at the very next day after I got the carThey didn’t put it on the receipt when I had my car tinted but they told me that they would check it out (which they didn’t)I do have emails, that I’ll include (the pics in the document I took the way I did to prove that they were all from different emails), that prove that I also notified their corporate office about the issues within a month from getting the car (which proves that if I let their corporate office know, then I obviously told the dealership where I got the car about it first)I also have videos of me recording not only the mileage on my car but also mentioning my issue to them more than once in the same videoThey can show a pic of a vehicle that’s supposedly a pic of my car, but I’ve actually driven it on the highway while it driftedEvery time I took in my car to the dealer there were no more than about a couple of miles used up on my car, if any (which means they didn’t drive it on the highway), so they never even tried to see what I was trying to tell them for monthsAnd that’s where the real problem was between us- they didn’t even try to see what I was experiencing. There are many other issues (that I’ve had since the purchase day) that I’m still having with the car: the rear electrical outlet that was supposed to be fixed was fixed a few months ago but now both of the two I have aren’t working now; I asked the collision shop why my airbags didn’t deploy and it took them almost weeks to respond that it was because my car was hit at the front left corner, but that doesn’t make sense- a car with airbags should deploy no matter how hard and how deep the impact was (which is another one of the many unsafe issues my car has)The tires were always losing nitrogen when I first got the car and it still isBasically, I’ve had a car from the beginning that’s had electrical and handling issues and at the same time not being as safe as the Mazda sales rep told me my car would beOxmoor Mazda is basically responding the way that every other company in the past has responded to not only me, but I’m pretty sure many other customersWith an attitude of “you accept whatever we tell you because a warranty forces you to only come to a Mazda dealership to have your car’s problems diagnosed (if we decide to fix it)”: I buy a new car with a warranty that’s supposed to cover any defects; I mention defects that are obvious; the mechanic tells me that there’s nothing wrong with the car and says it like I’m stupid and like I have to be a mechanic to understand whether or not a car drifting to one side most of the time is bad (everyone who has had a car with a warranty has experienced this- you contradict what they say and then they start ignoring my complaints; and then the warranty on the car expires and I go somewhere else to have my problem looked at (since the dealer knows that I have to go to only them to have my car looked at while under warranty and that I have to accept whatever lies they tell me) and the first shop tells me that if a certain car part was replaced then I wouldn’t have any more issues (but of course now I have to pay for it)So, no, I’m not giving up on this complaint because I’ve already gone through about 100,miles on my last car with the mechanics from a dealership telling me the same lies, and then immediately after the warranty ends then another shop tells me the truthI even asked other shops about what OM told me about it being for a FWD to drift, and they said what mechanic told you that lieIt’s not only that the mechanics lied about it being for my car to drift, but it’s the way they told meThey had always responded to me in this way, but it was even more annoying after I emailed them about reporting this issue to the Revdex.com last yearAfter I sent the email and set up an appointment, they didn’t even really look at me when I came in, which is when they told me that lie for the first time (they must’ve thought that I believed them on the previous visits when they kept telling me that they were doing alignments every time)I’m pretty sure people will agree that when you contradict what a dealership mechanic says about a car that has an issue, the mechanics will start to say anything to get the customer to accept whatever they say but they’ll do it with an attitudeThat’s what bothers me the mostThey act like if they don’t look at us and then tell us whatever they want, like we have to take whatever they throw at us, then that’s supposed to be the end of itThat’s what happened in my case the end of last yearOM mentions that if I don’t accept what they said about my car then I can go somewhere elseI did go to another Mazda dealerAnd guess what, they actually had someone go in my car while I drove it to see what I was talking about, which makes them the better dealershipOM never asked to ride with me, which means they didn’t want to resolve the issue- they just wanted to ignore itThe only problem with the other dealership is that they needed their mechanic back quickly so I could only drive down the street not the highwayI got close to the mph where it starts to drift, but the dealership told me that for cars with defects, I’d have to go to the Mazda where I bought it for it to be fixed without me being chargedNow I don’t know if that’s true because if OM ever closed then the responsibility is going to have to fall on the closest Mazda dealer aroundEither way, any Mazda dealership needs to honor a Mazda warranty, but it should be OM in my caseIf I knew how OM would treat me when I was buying a car compared to the other dealership, I would’ve went with the other dealershipEspecially since the sales rep I had lied to me also: he told me that some of the items I wanted added to my car they didn’t sell (regular stuff like mud flaps and a moonroof deflector among other things, which was on their website as items that are sold in their store); and he didn’t mention while I was trying to negotiate with the price and added equipment, that I’d pay higher car taxes each year by not adding it into my car payment (basically so he could pocket that money for a commission)I wouldn’t be surprised if they knowingly gave me a car that was a lemonAnd then after I get my car back after they tinted the windows, they tinted every window except the windshield even though they specifically agreed to tint itThe mechanic told me that the tinting shop said that it was impossible to tint it, but then I called and they said that they could tint itThat dealership shells out lies after liesI believe I found out online the reason why they didn’t have it doneCustomers kept mentioning how their windshields cracked for no reason, and their Mazda dealerships telling them that they wouldn’t repair it under the warrantyBasically they didn’t want to have it tinted, and if it ever cracked, then they’d be forced to replace it because they were the ones who had another shop work on a windshield that is known to be defective on this particular model SUV
