PaceButler Corporation Reviews (31)

We pulled up the audit of the phones you sent in. Only 2 of the phones were on our price list for $2 as long as it was fully functional. Please show us on our price list where it says we pay $17 for each Samsung and I will be happy to move forward.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2015/05/22) */
I spoke with [redacted] today and we came to the agreement of paying him $25 for his phones. I did explain we did not pay for them due to the damage and he understood but claims he told the rep about the damage prior to sending.

PaceButler Corporation Response • Mar 01, 2018

Business was called on an average of one every 6 weeks in attempts to buy any used cell phones the business had available, when we finally made contact on February 28, 2018, the customer was not happy about the repeated phone calls and requested we no longer contact them. That same day on February 28, 2018 the customer's contact information was placed on our DO NOT CONTACT list. I personally emailed the customer to let them no they had been placed on the list of businesses to not call and requested that they let me know if they receive any further attempts to contact them from Pacebutler and that I would personally handle any such instances.

This is a scam - all 14 phones were in working order and the serial number "Pace" was looking for. Verbal quote of $20 per phone. I received $4 for 14 phones.

PaceButler Corporation Response

Customer said she was sending in 14 phones priced at $20.00 a piece on our price list. We received 14 phones that were not the same model the customer had quoted, but were in stead a different model priced at $1.00 per model phone. Of the 14, 4 were purchased for a total payment of $4.00. The remaining 10 phones had various levels of damage and were not purchased but rather recycled in accordance with our policy which is stated on our shipping label that our customers use to send in their devices.

PaceButler Corporation Response • Feb 28, 2018

The verbal quote of $20 per phone was for a similar but different model than what was received. There are several factors in addition to simple functionality that are considered when evaluating the condition of a phone and the value for which we can pay.
"not all phones have value, phones that do not have value are not returned," that is clearly stated on the shipping label and email sent to the customer which they agree to when they use our label to send in phones.

I had found this company offering to buy your used cell phone. The company sent me a pre-paid shipping label via email At no time did anyone ever tell me that they would dispose of my cell phone if they couldn't use it or didn't want it. They sent me a letter telling me that my phone didn't work. The cell phone is in perfect working condition. There is nothing wrong with the cell phone. The battery though is no good. I enclosed it anyway should they need it. Also enclosed was a phone case and ear buds this is *** in screen cell phone. I thought if it was one they did not want that they would contact me via email or phone to let me know and give me the option to pay for the shipping to return it to me. In the letter they sent me they were letting me know that they were properly disposing of my cell phone. Or donating the cell phone. If it's worth nothing to them that's fine. I can get a new battery for the phone and give it to one of my grand daughters. This seems like a scam. I have sent them an email telling them I never gave any permission to dispose of or donate my cell phone prior to sending them this phone. If this is common practice they should have that clearly posted. In conclusion I want the phone back or at least half the value of the phone as I know it needs a new battery.

No where do I see where she requested to know the phone I was sending. I looked over the phones list and My phone was HSB-*** I saw that several times. The cell phone was not even a year old with a 5.5 inch screen My response to her email was simply I would only be sending one phone and I would get it out to them this week. I have also enclosed the link to their page. I do not see any place that says they will donate your phone. http://www.pacebutler.com/

I was contacted by Pace Butler to sell them a collection of used Verizon cell phones on behalf of my company. After multiple conversations via email, they sent me an agreeable per unit price. The units in question are Samsung Galaxy S4s. Pace Butler agreed to pay $40 per phone in good condition and $20 per damaged phone. In reality, they paid me $25 per good phone and $3 per broken phone.

I sent a total of 37 Samsung Galaxy S4 and 5 Samsung Galaxy S3

I sent 27 phones they deemed to be in good condition for a total of $675. It should have been $1,080.

I sent 10 phones they deemed to be broken for a total of $30. It should have been $200.

There is a discrepancy of $575 total.

I contacted my account rep, ***, via email on 05/03/2017 letting her know there was an issue with the payment. She responded that day letting me know that she would get the issue resolved immediately. On 05/05/2017, I followed up. She said she was working on it. On 05/09/2017 I asked again, she replied that she was processing the order. On 05/11/2017, I asked for a resolution again, she said she was waiting on approval. On 05/19 I followed up again and I have not heard back from her.

PaceButler Corporation Response

We have made contract with *** and have resolved the issue in full.
