COMPLAINT # *** - *** ***First and foremost, Pittsburgh Singles takes every member complaint very seriously, and it concerns us that Ms*** has been so unhappy. However, Pittsburgh Singles has a firm "no refund policy" {See paragraph 4aof the contract, which states:
"EXCEPT WHAT IS OTHERWISE PROVIDED HEREIN, THERE IS NO RIGHT TO RESCIND THIS AGREEMENTPittsburgh Singles does not grant refunds or accept cancellations of any kind, unless otherwise stated in this agreement").Once a person enrolls in our membership and pays for our service the sale is finalNo right exists for that person to obtain a refund any time thereafter simply because that person changed their mind.Ms*** became a member of Pittsburgh Singles on April 20, 2015, purchasing nine (9) introductionsTo date, Ms*** has personally received six (6) introductions, and while Ms*** has stated that she has only had two dates, her agreement with Pittsburgh Singles is to provide introductions, not dates.Ms***'s complaint is full of misstatements regarding Pittsburgh Singles' practicesThe company does indeed screen each individual that becomes a memberIt is unfortunate that Ms*** had some concerns about some of her introductions- that is certainly not what Pittsburgh Singles wants to hearWe are hopeful Ms***'s program will turn around for her and will work with her to make that happenMs***'s most recent introduction was March 7, We will follow up with her to move forward. As stated in paragraph 3bof the contract {which Ms*** initialed), "An introduction is made when Pittsburgh Singles provides you with a name and a phone number of another member." So I just received a call from Pittsburgh Singles. Spoke to a guy, who shall remain unnamed, who was blatantly rude to me. I told him I couldn't sign up for personal reasons and he asked me what they were! I told him it was none of his business. His reply, "Don't sign up for this again!" And he hung up on me! Wow... No referrals from me!

Ms. [redacted] has received a refund of the $100.00 down payment she made with her credit card and her financing contract for the remaining balance has been canceled.Ms. [redacted] is no longer considered a member of Pittsburgh Singles. We wish her the best of luck in her...

future.

Quite disappointed! I have been a member for a month now and have only had one "match." Which amounted to a few texts from an anonymous person who then discontinued communication. At no time did I actually meet this person over a cup of coffee or drinks.

Then when I called Pittsburgh Singles to report on this I have been consistently being led to voicemail only. I have left several messages and have received no callbacks.

It is no stretch for me to start to suspect that I have been scammed here!

Beware!

First and foremost, PittsburghSingles takes every member complaint very seriously, and it concerns us that Mr.[redacted] is so unhappy.  However,Pittsburgh Singles denies that there was ever a “bait and switch” in thistransaction.  All terms and conditionswere expressly...

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Regards,
[redacted] If I'm being offered additional referrals at no extra charge, I would be willing to stay with the program.  Can you please advise if this is possible?

First and foremost, Pittsburgh
Singles takes every member complaint very seriously, and it concerns us that Ms.
[redacted] was so unhappy.  However, Pittsburgh Singles
has a firm ''no refund policy'' (See paragraph 4a. of the contract, which
states: ''EXCEPT WHAT IS OTHERWISE...

PROVIDED HEREIN, THERE IS NO RIGHT TO

Ms. [redacted] has personally received one (1) introduction.  Ms. [redacted] has refused all service from

occasions to speak with Ms. [redacted] about her dissatisfaction, but Ms. [redacted] will
not return the telephone call. As stated in paragraph 3b. of the contract (which Ms. [redacted] initialed), ''An

contract, signed by Ms. [redacted] states the following: ''...I understand that my
preferences are 'preferences' and not 'requirements'.  If at any time Pittsburgh
Singles is unable to select an introduction who fulfills all of my preferences,
Pittsburgh Singles will select an introduction who is compatible with my
preferences but who may not meet all of the preferences I indicated in my

Singles is generous about replacing the introductions that do not result in
meetings or result in very disappointing meetings.  Ms. [redacted] is no
exception to this generosity. Because Pittsburgh Singles aims to please, Pittsburgh

Very rude people and unprofessional I was unable to keep appointment my daughter was taken to hospital and they txt me rude and inappropriate Txt messages to my cell phone I would never reschuedle a appointment again with them I saved the txt messages from them. So disappointing

Review: Visited Pittsburgh singles to learn the nature of their business. Was presented with a double team sales presentation on the how they were professional and worked for customer satisfaction in finding them a good dating match. I told them that I was a widower who had been marred 27 years to a women 9 years younger and that I wanted to meet ladies about her age or younger. I also told about my personality and the type person I wanted to meet. I told them my preference for libertarian type thinkers and less than pro government views. They then sold me what they said was a discount package. The first date was with a retired government worker about 4 years younger than myself. I called to protest that it was not a good match but they insisted they were the professionals and convinced me to go and as could be predicted it did not go well. The second date was to be with a woman who was older than me who's profile did not interest me. When I called to say it was a poor match they insisted they had fulfilled their contract. At the price of $200. a date it seems they could at least try to cater to their customers preferences. No refund or optional service was offered by this unprofessional organization that I believe falsely represented their services to me.Desired Settlement: Would ideally hope to receive a refund for the date I did not go on. I really would not trust them to find a replacement due to their lack of aptitude at match making.

Response:

First and foremost, Pittsburgh Singles takes any member complaint seriously, and we are concerned with Mr. [redacted]'s complaint.Pittsburgh Singles will definitely replace the introduction Mr. [redacted] has complained about and will work with him to ensure his preferences are better met. That said, however, a refund is not an option, as refunds are not allowed according to paragraph 4 of the Membership Agreement.

Review: I joined this dating site in Nov. 2013 after a woman by the name of [redacted] kept calling me. She was relentless. I finally agreed to a meeting and I met with [redacted], Regional Director of Pittsburgh Singles in Greentree. I took a compatibility test and I was assured that their dating site could find a suitable match for me. I was hesitant (I should have stuck with my intuition) so I joined this site and it cost me $2,795.00(how stupid). This dating site guaranteed me 9 individual matches. So far, they haven't sent me one compatible person. They have gone outside of my guidelines which I specifically told them not to. They were sending me 5'9" men, men over 65 yrs. old, men who lied on their applications. I believe they do this because they meet their obligation to the customer whether you meet this introduction or not. I have spoke to several other people who belong to this dating site and we are all in agreement that it's nothing more than a "SCAM". We would like restitution and have our monies refunded back to us. I will also be filing a complaint with the Consumer Protection Agency. Pittsburgh Singles needs to be held responsible and most importantly they need to be shut down from any future business.Desired Settlement: I want all of my money refunded to me.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

This email is in reference to a letter I received from the Revdex.com on Saturday, June 20, 2015 regarding my complaint against Pittsburgh Singles located in Greentree, PA. For some reason, I could not log on to the Revdex.com website using the ID given to me referenced in the subject line. I wanted to post this rebuttal on Revdex.com's website.

Very rude people and unprofessional I was unable to keep appointment my daughter was taken to hospital and they txt me rude and inappropriate Txt messages to my cell phone I would never reschuedle a appointment again with them I saved the txt messages from them. So disappointing

Review: I received a call from Pittsburgh Singles in response to an online request for information I had filled out.I answered questions asked by the company representative and asked my own questions which she answered except for those about the cost of their services. Rather than asking me "if" I would like like to make an appointment to come in for an interview, she asked me if I could come in the next day. When I said no she asked about the following day I said I was unable due to my work schedule. I said it would be several weeks before I could Come in due to staying a new job next week and a family wedding. She became irritated and said she had spent a long time on the phone with me and that I had "led her on"! When I said I had not led her on she became argumentative. My efforts to talk to her were futile so I hung up. 4 minutes later she sent me a nasty text message which said, "This is why you are 1 and single. And you will stay that way".I did not get the name of the representative but the phone number the text was sent [redacted]Desired Settlement: Disciplinary action taken against this employee. I had recEived a callback from another rep the day before and scheduled a callback in one month. Due to this call I will never deal with this service

Response:

First and foremost, Pittsburgh Singles takes every member complaint very seriously, and it concerns us that Ms. [redacted] is so unhappy. However, as Ms. [redacted] is not a Pittsburgh Singles member, we have nothing substantive to say about her complaint. We do not recognize the telephone number provided in the complaint; perhaps it was a short-lived former employee that spoke to Ms. [redacted] in this manner. Regardless, we apologize for this conduct, as it is now how Pittsburgh Singles employees have been trained to act. In fact, this type of complaint is a big shock to us. We are hopeful Ms. [redacted] can recognize this as a “fluke" and that it is not indicative of Pittsburgh Singles as a whole.

Review: I jointed the dating service Two of Us in Green Tree, Pa about two years ago. My contract had given me the option of putting my service on hold. The high pressured Sales women told me that I was perfect for their service that they would not have trouble matching me with my requirements. My first introduction did not even come close to my wants in a partner. I called Two of Us and basically went nuts on them that I had spent $5,000 on a service that did not come close to my match. I refused to meet this introduction and requested a new introduction. The second introduction I met (nice man, but still did not meet my requirements) I then put my service on hold for about two years and just recently activated my account. Hoping their service has become reputable. I met my second introduction (the same, did not meet my requirements). Two of Us, now known as Pittsburgh Singles is not a matching making service, they are in the business of taking money from lonely people trying to find love. At one point I was going to contact an attorney, but was told the contract was full proof and I would be wasting my time trying to re-cooperate my losses. I feel that the Two of Us dating service is just as bad as the [redacted] that was brought to light on 60 Minutes. Two of Us are stealing thousands of dollars from lonely people trying to find love the same as the [redacted] on [redacted]!!!!I would like to have the issue resolved by receiving a refund, but that is probably not going to happen. So I hope that by writing into the Revdex.com about Two of Us, now going by Pittsburgh Singles that it will help someone else not get scammed by this business.Desired Settlement: Refund for services not rendered
