Review: I received a letter regarding my 2016 escrow account, I wanted to clarify it before I pay it. I called 11/21/15 and spoke to a customer service and told her the problem. She said she will place a request to have my escrow reviewed. I then went and emailed them on 11/23/15 just in case. Until today I have not heard back. They are supposed to return a reply within 24 hrs and nothing. This is not the first complaint I filed against them. I called today 12/8/15 and asked why I didn't receive an email or a simple call with a reply. They couldn't answer that nor could they justify my escrow question. They are very neglectant when responding to customers. If the tables were turned and I didn't pay they would call and hunt me down. I'm just at a lost with this bank and all their bad practices.Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Explanation of Charges

They should get fined somehow with how they handle their customers especially when it has to do with a mortgage.

Review: On 4/10/12 I purchased a vehicle financed through PNC bank. In this time period I have not once missed a car payment. On more than three DIFFERENT occasions PNC has contacted me to tell me that I was past due with my account. Immediately while still on the phone with them I paid the late amount that they SAID was due. Nov 2012, April 2013, and August 2013 are three in particular. Meaning I paid two payments in each of those months. I have also been assessed a late fee every month that I have had the vehicle. PNC bank has posted delinquencies of more than 30 days on several occasions on my credit report and has single handedly considerably hurt my credit that has been exemplary until my interaction with them. I had requested a summary of activity to ensure that I was not incorrect in my complaint and the summary clearly shows that every month like clock work a payment is made. I have/had other vehicles and have never experienced such dissatisfaction as I am with this company. I have spoken with several representatives and it seems that noone is communicating with one another. I was informed at one point that there was no insurance on the car for more than a month at origin of purchase so a 700+ fee was added as insurance through PNC. Paperwork has been forwarded on more than one occasion to show proof of insurance. In the event that WAS the case, they have received more than three extra payments totalling near 2000 dollars which would have more than covered whatever insurance they spoke of. I just want this fixedDesired Settlement: I would like for PNC bank to correct my credit reports to show that no delinquencies have occurred and I would like every late payment assessed returned back to me as they were incorrectly charged to my account. [redacted]I have three pages of the summary of activity showing payment history, but I am only allowed to Upload one. The other two are available upon request[redacted]

Review: We have tried to Close our Account On Several Occasions, Yet when they say The account will be closed the next day they let Several Charges Go through $643.00 to be exact not including the 7 Over Draft fees That they charged our Account which they should have been closing,Instead they let over 6 hundred dollars clear and Brought us to over a 6 hundred dollar negative Balance. we signed the paper work for the account to be closed and she even cut our debit cards in half. we thought every thing was fine until I checked online and seen they didnt do anything but let charges go through. I tried to call them and Explain to them this should have been taken care of but got no Answers in return. just you have to pay the negative balance before we can close it. Which I ended up doing and now its Negative again. they refuse to close the account. I would like My $643.00 Dollars Return to me Via Check and My Account Closed.Desired Settlement: I would like My $643.00 Dollars Return to me Via Check and My Account Closed immediately.

Review: I applied for a Loan Modification with PNC Mortgage in June 2009. I hired legal counsel in March 2010 to help get the process going because I couldn't get PNC to respond. I have gone through three law firms since and still don't have a loan modification. PNC Mortgage refused to complete the process, even though my attorney found several Truth and Lending Act violations. I have faxed copies of income, bank, and utility statements over 12 times. I entered and completed 3 "Forebarance Contracts". This went on until October 12, 2012, PNC Mortgage ignored the "Demand For Cancellation of Sale" filed by counsel October 9, 2012 and my home was sold at public auction. After that I contacted my Attorney General and was advised to "Unwind" the sale of my home. I made an appointment with a local law firm found it was unaffordable for me to proceed. I am disabled and found no rental properties that could accommodate my needs so I remained in my home. . I am now going to court to get a "Stay of Enforcement of Writ of Restitution".Desired Settlement: I would like my loan modification completed and to keep my home. My house was sold back to PNC Mortgage not to an individual that would lose their investment.

Review: Miss leading information and causing harm to the account. Major issues will not all fit PNC bank gave miss leading information on my account causing it to be closed and never gave proper notice as to the status of the account. once I was aware of what is going on they claimed they account was closed but I came just in time and they open the account agin only to have the account closed the next day saying it was not opended properly more bs they took my deposit minus fees they claimed they had to have after they promised the fees would be waived. Then after they closed the account they said they mailed me the balance but when I asked for which date they gave me all different dates and as of the date I am filing this I still do not have my money. Also after they took fees out of my money they sent more letters saying more money was owed . this feels like a scame to me. Throw in how rude customer service is and nasty I would never go to this bank again and they care more about fees then clients really bad bankDesired Settlement: I am asking that they leave me alone , make sure I get the money that is mine, They remove the charge off status as they already took there fees as they shouldn't have and that nothing is reported to any ck sytems or reporting agencies . refund of fees would be nice but at this point everything else is more important

1-14-2014 [redacted] PNC IS RESOLVING THE ISSUE DIRECTLY WITH THE CUSTOMER

Review: I visited the branch located on [redacted] July 13, 2015 around 4:30 pm to attempt to cash a check. I handed the gentleman my check in an envelope and my I.D., however he was unable to complete my request because I did not have a credit card. I attempted to cash my check at another location, but my check was no longer attached to my paystub. I attempted to contact the number listed for the branch and a woman with no ties to the bank answered. I called again this morning and spoke with Theophile K[redacted], the branch manager, and explained to him the situation. His response indicated that he believed the situation was my fault and no penalty should be held against him. He asked me why I did not ask for my check back when I had no reason to believe that it was not in the envelope. I called back when the employee arrived to work and the manager informed me that he asked the employee and the gentleman stated that he did not have my check. Once again, the manager asked me why I did not ask for my check, gave me a hard time, and was extremely rude about it. I asked his name and the employee that I transpired with and he hung up on me after only providing me with his name.Desired Settlement: I would greatly appreciate it if this manager is held accountable for his actions and lack of customer service.

Review: pnc bank should have told their customers they no longer offer free checking instead of just charging us fees. myself and my mom who have pnc as well as other customers were not aware that pnc changed our accounts. we did not receive a later in the mail furthermore pnc did not ask us if it was ok to switch our checking account without permission. I just found out last night night when my account was negative because they took our a calculated service fee of 7.00. I know that is not alot. but they should have let their customers know they no long offer free checking so we would have the option to close our account or not. we now have to maintain a 500 monthly balance so we don't get charged fees. I pay a lot of bills I can't keep that much in my account. personally I think they should get trouble for this. They should not be allowed to switch anyone account without their consent. I called today at pnc 08-01-14 they did refund me the money as one time favor but warned me about the fees. depending what account you have the service will go up. I will be closing my account with them. because I can't no longer trust this bank.Desired Settlement: I think pnc should send a letters apologizing to all their customers not sending letters warning us of the changed and refund everyone service fees. Give customers the option if they want a checking account with fees. so they can switch banks that offer free checking. so they don't get charged the fees.

9-9-2014 ** Response in progress

Review: I have been a member at PNC for almost 4 years. Earlier this year, my father added me to his account which is also at PNC as I have to pay his bills for him. In October, my account apart from his became overdrawn, I was out of work for 8 weeks. After 30 days, without notice, they closed my account. They sent me a bill for the overdrawn amount stating I could pay it by check or money order. Two weeks prior to my account closing I spoke with a customer service agent and told her when I would pay it up and it would be by direct deposit on December 5th and she told me that would be fine. No mention of account getting closed. December 2nd I logged into my account, and it was closed. They took the money that was owed from my fathers account. It was $246 and some change. This was not authorized. I filed a dispute with the bank and the first person told me it would be put right back in while dispute was being investigated. It was not put back in. I called again a week later for the status and she said it was still pending. Then today another week later, I was told it was closed the day I put it in. They refuse to refund the money saying that I aggreed when signing up for my account that this could happen. I was not called and told my dispute was closed prior. I was not made aware they could do this and was rushed through my initial paperwork when opening my account. I was not told my account would close. During the overdrawn period, right before it was closed, I paid 100 towards it, and was told my account would be ok to pay up on 12/5. Lie after lie after lie from PNC. They have not been pleasent to talk to with all of this either, but very rude and short. They will not work with me to resolve this and will be losing my business from here on.Desired Settlement: Refund the amount that was taken out of the account without my knowledge. And Give another $500 for all my aggravation and for being lied to so much from so many bank employees. If all the lies had been true instead I would not be suffering from not only the lack on money, but the anguish my father has put me through for this happening to this account.

Review: Two representatives of the PNC Bank branch identified in this complain whose names are [redacted] came to my place of work, [redacted] located in the town of [redacted] NJ to offer the bank services to all employees. One of the offers they have was a $150 dollar credit for opening a checking account. The only requirement the representative mention to me to qualify for the credit was that $1000 dollars needed to be deposited in the account. I have had this account for over two months now and my two monthly paychecks get direct deposited in this account. I have contacted the bank on several occasions regarding this issue, and they keep telling me that they will credit my account soon but they dont. One of my co-workers is experiencing the same problem and also obtains the same response from the bank.Desired Settlement: I will be cancelling all the services I have with this institution since I can not trust it. I just would like Revdex.com to investigate this false advertising the institution is doing to lure costumers.

Review: PNC Mortgage [redacted] In a letter dated April 29,2013, we received notice that [redacted] Company was transferring the servicing of our loan to PNC Mortgage. [redacted] stated that they would.. . "provide PNC Mortgage with a complete set of your loan records. If [redacted] maintained an escrow account for you, they will notify your homeowner's insurance company and tax office of the transfer." This transaction was to commence on May 16,2013. In a letter dated June 12,2013, your office requested that we contact our insurance agent, even though you supposedly already had this information, or could have obtained it from [redacted]. We didn't negotiate this mortgage, nor should we have to perform administrative duties for your company. However, to expedite this process, I did contact our [redacted] agent, who said she would transfer this information to you. I also used your Customer Service number, which never connected me to a representative and was a circuitous waste of time and most customer unfriendly. On July 5,2013, another letter was sent from your office stating that you received evidence of our hazard insurance, but there was a lapse in coverage from 6/21/13 to 7/21/13 and you were charging us $300 to cover this lapse of time. You requested us again to provide you with evidence of acceptable coverage for this period. I subsequently sent you our [redacted] policy papers, but as of today, no return reply has been received. I am submitting another set of amended [redacted] coverage with this letter. I am not interested in your [redacted] Insurance Company coverage. July 21,2013 has come and gone, with no catastrophies claimed. We are covered until July 21,2014, through our [redacted] policy. Your office should have had [redacted] cover this lapse, if it really existed, or your company should have absorbed it as part of the cost of doing business as you purchase and/or service mortgages. We, the customers, are not pawns in your business plan. We have no control over the status of our loans, and we will not be party to this sub-par business practice. Do not charge our account for your lack of due diligence or integrity. We expect that you will contact us with a full reversal of this charge and an apology would be nice, too.Desired Settlement: We expect that you will contact us with a full reversal of this charge and an apology would be nice, too.

Review: For the second time within six months the bank has taken money out of my account using a hand check someone presented with my name. This person has the same name but obviously a different signature and bank account. The first time was $700.00 and this time it was $150.00. The last time it took 3 weeks for them to determine it was a teller mistake. This is ridiculous as they should be verifying the persons account name with their social security number or any number of verification processes.Desired Settlement: I want the funds replaced immediately back into my account. I want the entire branch to go through training on verifying an account and not based on someone's name alone. I want an apology and possible compensation for their incompetence.

Review: For the past two weeks, I have been trying to redeem my rewards because I knew there was a December deadline; however, due to the PNC's website malfunction I had been unable to complete the transaction. This morning (12/4), I tried to get assistance with the website only to find out that my rewards were forfeited. I spoke with a manager by the name of [redacted] who refused to assist but then transferred me to [redacted] at the Retail Escalation Group who also refused to assist with a refund or redemption of the rewards. I have been banking with the PNC bank over five years and would appreciate their full cooperation with this matter. A prompt response is necessary. Thank you.Desired Settlement: Desired settlement would be to receive two Home Depot cards ($50/each) and one Starbucks ($20)which would cover my full redemption and bring this matter to full closure.

To Whom It May Concern:

On December 26, 2013, I spoke with Ms. [redacted] and confirmed that a credit of $65.10 was issued to her checking account effective December 20, 2013. This amount represents the cash equivalent for the points she accummulated, and was provided as an accommodation based on her experience with PNC Bank.

Review: My husband, who is a finance broker and myself, who is an attorney, applied for a HELOC through PNC. We have owned our place in downtown Chicago for over three years. We re-financed our home through another financial institution ([redacted]) in 2013 to lock into a lower mortgage interest rate. We have clean title done through one of the most well-known and reputable title companies, [redacted]. We spent 11 weeks dealing with [redacted] (who never returned our calls) and then in the last two weeks of this headache, her supervisor, [redacted], the "operations team lead officer." We had to guide them through the process of how to do a title search. PNC is an incompetent banking institution. The bank has no idea how to run a "firm commitment" title search (which should be used when approving potential clients for a HELOC or any loan) and instead the bank used a county title search. The bank told us there were liens against the condo and then came back and said there were no liens against the condo and then said there was a lien against our entire 100-plus unit condo and wanted us to buy title insurance through them to get it cleared. So, now we are concerned and are contacting our HOA and our attorney. We come to find out that none of this is true and PNC is just an incompetent institution. Our attorney advised us to withdraw the application. We have clean title on our condo (hence we re-financed)and this incompetent institution could not figure out how to do a proper title search and/or they wanted us to buy title insurance through them before approving us. We finally withdrew our application because we were scared to pursue getting a HELOC through PNC. To make matters worse, [redacted], when asked if there was a supervisor or a head person to talk with regarding the situation, told me via email,"Unfortunately we do not have anyone to escalate this situation to further." Apparently, [redacted] is the CFO or CEO of PNC. So, PNC's representative lied to us.Desired Settlement: PNC needs to change their policy and do a "full commitment" title search like other reputable banking institutions including [redacted]. I would also like the institution to warn potential customers that they do not do a legitimate title search, so customers do no waste their time. I also think that customer service needs to improve. I also think PNC owes us an explanation as to why they could not figure out how to do a title search and see that there are no liens.

Review: Unfortunately my loan refinancing got sold to PNC. I have had nothing but problems. My loan is drafted from my checking account monthly. All of my payments have been paid in full with my next payment due on 11/15/2013. I have now received two collection letters of default on the loan. Each time I call the mortgage department, I am told that my mortgage is paid and up to date. I do not need my credit rating ruined or be made to pay thousands of dollars to an attorney because of incompetance.Desired Settlement: I want a letter issued by PNC to me stating that the letters of default were issued in error.

December 4, 2013

Dear Ms. [redacted],

PNC Bank Mortgage Escalations Group responded directly to the customer on November 27, 2013. At that time, the customer's loan was due for the December 1, 2013 payment and her next payment was due to draft on December 15, 2013.

The letter dated October 23, 2013 was sent to the customer in order to obtain a current telephone number for the loan. The loan was due for the November 1, 2013 payment at that time, and the letter stated that the total amount due was $0.00. We regret any confusion caused by the wording of this letter.

Our records show that the letter dated November 4, 2013 was sent to the customer in error. On November 14, 2013, we sent a follow-up letter informing the customer of this error.

Our records show that since acquiring the customer's loan from Central Mortgage Company on May 16, 2013, her loan has been current.

Again, we regret any inconvenience the customer may have experienced as a result of receiving these letters. Should the customer have any further questions or concerns regarding her loan, she may contact our Customer Service Help Desk at ###-###-####.

Sincerely,

Terrible ! They like to charge fees for non reasons and they are there to do just that.

Hold your credits pending for 2 days And your debits go thru same day so they can charge retuned items fees even when you have over draft protection

Review: Lost my debit on Thursday July 31st during the early afternoon. Around noon approximately 30 mins or so after I had noticed my card was gone after I just left shopping from a Dollar General Store. I went to PNC Bank on [redacted] to report that I had lost my card and would like to order a new one. The lady that assisted me had ordered me a new card, and asked me if I needed to pull money out, and I said yes and pulled out $250. On friday August 1st, around 10pm eastern time I noticed 3 charges that were not mine. I called the PNC customer service line and reported the charges. The lady that helped me asked about canceling the card, I told her that I had went to a bank and had already did that, she then stated that my card was never canceled out, and she even noted that they had not put in a report, or had even ordered a card. My response was excuse me? Can you repeat that, and she did. I was very surprised and worried all at the same time. She went ahead and did that for me, and put in a replacement card request for me, which I'm glad for, but my compliant is about the location in[redacted]. Because the lady at that location didn't do me any service, someone was able to spend my money and go on a mini shopping spree. I'm lucky they didn't spend that much, but I am very unpleased with the services of the teller, and her not canceling my card.Desired Settlement: An apology from the PNC Bank on [redacted] and no charge for my lost debit card.
