Review: PNC now has a $150 promotion offer for opening a new virtual wallet account. I received an email from PNC about this promotion on 6/7/2013, and then opened this account on 6/11/13. I set up the Direct Deposit and the first direct deposit ($2205.01) was done on 6/21/13, and the first bill payment ($165) was done on 6/17/13/ Both are required for the $150 bonus. After I have fulfilled these requirement, I contacted PNC customer service through secure online message center, however, they told me a promotion code is needed but it was not in my account. I looked at the email from PNC again, more carefully, but I could not see any promotion code at all. In the email it says, "BANKER INSTRUCTIONS: To ensure the customer receives the promotional offer, enter this email address [redacted] (exactly as it appears here) into the customer profile at the time of account opening."So I contacted PNC again through online secure message center, telling them there is no such promotional code at all. However, again, they still insisted on missing of the promotion code. I asked them how I can forward the email to them, but they never replied, so I have no chance to show them the email offer. I feel very disappointed about their customer service, because they are not familiar with their products and they keep ignore customer's information and question. I sent secure messages to them again, but they did not reply to me at all.Desired Settlement: Credit the $150 reward as they promised in the email they sent to me.

Response:

Please allow me to respond to your complaint filed on July 7, 2013, with the Revdex.com (Revdex.com), regarding eligibility to receive a $150.00 premium for opening a PNC Bank, National Association Virtual Wallet with Performance -Spend. I -appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns.

Mr. [redacted], thank you for your patience while we researched your concerned. As we discussed on August 23, 2013, when the account was opened online, instructions were presented requesting a specific link be clicked to register for the promotion or the coupon you received via email is to be printed and- taken to the branch at account opening. This action applies a promotion code to the account. In this case the promotion was not added. With no promotion code attached to the account it was not tracked for eligibility to be paid the $150.00 premium.

Our review of your account determined your Spend account did meet the transaction stipulation of an aggregate $2000 qualifying direct deposit within sixty days of account opening. The qualifying online bill payment within sixty days was also met, but was transacted from your Reserve account. While the Online Bill Payment should have been made from the Spend account, PNC made the business decision to honor the bill payment as a qualifying transaction based on the two checking accounts being under the same Virtual Wallet with Performance Spend product. Your account was credited the $150.00 premium on August 23, 2013. This credit can be viewed in your Virtual Wallet with Performance Spend account online,

PNC Bank is committed to providing exceptional customer service and your inquiry allows us to clarify our position in this matter, if you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact me toll free at ###-###-####-Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:45pm Eastern Standard Time.

Review: We have an interest checking account and a money market savings account with PNC. The checking account was protected by overdraft protection from the money market. We exceeded the number of times that you are allowed to overdraw, so without advance notice, PNC closed our money market, switched it to a non-interest bearing checking account with a monthly maintenance fee AND canceled our overdraft protection, all WITHOUT PRIOR NOTIFICATION TO US. So not only did we get declined on a very important medical copay on Monday 8/18, they also charged us a $36.00 fee on our mortgage payment that WOULD HAVE cleared if they hadnt canceled our overdraft WITHOUT TELLING US! Had they given us advance and due warning that this change was coming, thats perfectly fine with us. I understand that they have protocol to follow regarding the number of overdrafts allowed, but if they had given us a quick notification, such as a secure message on our online checking account, a phone call, a letter, an email, etc. we would have made arrangements like transferring money over to the account to cover the outstanding mortgage check to AVOID A $36.00 fee! Not only is this very poor customer service, I cant imagine its even legal! Again, I understand that there is a certain number of transactions allowed and they did even charge us $15 for going over the allowed overdrafts per month. I completely understand this. I am not upset about the $15.00 fee. Its the fact that they charged us a $36.00 fee for the overdrawn check that WOULDNT HAVE BEEN OVERDRAWN if they had notified us first about the change in accounts.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the $36.00 overdraft fee. An apology would be nice too.

Review: I am very unhappy with this bank. I recently had my $2700 taken from my account through ATM withdrawls and the bank is refusing to pay for them. MY ATM card was skimmed and they were making many withdraws even over the limit so PNC missed that as well. I called to inform them that I was not in [redacted] and there were ATM withdraws happening and they cancelled my ATM card, which did not work. They should have immediately closed my account. So within 24 hours I had over $2700 stolen. I was in [redacted] at the time so there was no way it was me. I have been out this money for a month now and so I would not bank with them because obviously there security is bad and they take no responsibility for the theft. Also, there are limits that can be taken from a ATM within 24 hours that did not work so the bank is responsible. Also, I gave PNC a police report number. [redacted]Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Contact by the Business

I want to be paid back for the theft ASAP.

Review: I have a dispute with PNC merchant services salesperson [redacted]. She conducted business with me on unethical grounds. she coerced me into signing a lease agreement that was not in my best interest. she made me lease the credit card machine without complying with The Consumer Leasing Act. I was told it would be 25$ a month she failed to disclose the high charges of cancellation and the terms of the lease. she purposefully withheld vital information from me in order to get me to sign the document. I actually have another business that uses PNC merchant services and we actually bought the credit card machine but she kept telling me that buying the machine was not in my best interestthe machine im leasing costs 299.99$ brand newi am being charged over 500$ a year to lease it and I have to pay over 700$ if I want to break my lease. [redacted] specifically withheld this vital information from me in direct violation of The Consumer Leasing Act

Review: On June 24, 2013 PNC Bank processed a $1400 check through my checking account that was not submitted by me. The check had someone else's name, address and signature, but my account number was printed on the bottom of the check. I found the issue on July 19, 2013 and immediately contacted PNC regarding the matter. I spoke to [redacted] in Complaints and I questioned why they would allow a check with someone else's information go through my account, especially when I write very few check on this account and hardly ever for that amount. They were not able to explain, but agreed that it was clearly not my check and that my money would be returned quickly.I did not receive any updates following the initial call so I followed up on August 2, 2013. I spoke to [redacted] in the Complaints Dept and she said that there were no updates on the claim. I asked to speak to someone in charge and was transferred to [redacted] in the Fraud dept. she mentioned that it was her investigation but there are other investigations ahead of me and she has not worked on my case yet. And she said they have 30 days to respond. The fact that it had not been worked on in 2 weeks was unacceptable so I spoke to the manager [redacted]. He reiterated that they have 30 days to resolve a complaint and that he would not put someone else in front of me. I told him that I did not ask to be placed ahead of someone else. I did say that it was unacceptable that 2 weeks had passed with no movement/updates on the investigation and my money has not been returned. He said that he has 30 days and that's it. PNC did not protect my money by processing a fraudulent check through my account and then not quickly resolving this issue by returning my $1400. This is unacceptable and is shows negligence and their lack of good issue resolution when they are at fault. PNC clearly does not value the fact that a customer's money was taken while they were suppose to be protecting the account.Desired Settlement: I want PNC to return my $1400 quickly and resolve this matter. And to take action to ensure that this does not happen again.

Review: I've been a PNC customer since 2011. I obtained a merchant services account with PNC in November 2014 and a business checking account a little before that to accompany my merchant account. I was extremely clear about the features I needed on the account in order to run my business with merchant rep and she assured me that the account I was obtaining would allow me to send my customers invoices and would allow my customers to pay for services via my website. These two features WERE NOT available to me and therefore prohibited me from conducting business. It is because of this that I requested termination of my merchant account without cancellation fees through two PNC reps. This request was made in January 2015. There was no aggressive attempt to rectify this situation until May 2015; during this time my business account was still being charged for a merchant account that I couldn't use. Because of this, I seek to also close my business checking account. In May 2015, I was told by a PNC rep that I could not close either account unless I paid back the $250 promotional bonus that I received for having the merchant account over 90 days. I should not be made to pay back money that was GIVEN to me by the bank to become a merchant customer, nor should I be made to pay for bad business done on PNC's part. I wish to close BOTH my merchant AND business checking accounts IMMEDIATELY with NO PENALTY due to the aforementioned scenario.Desired Settlement: Cancellation of merchant account and business checking account without penalty.

Review: On October 29, 2013, I received an Escrow Account Disclosure Statement from PNC Mortgage, stating that I owe $1105.96 for an escrow shortage due to taxes. This statement also said my mortgage would be raised from $702.45 to $797.15. The following day I went to PNC Bank to try to figure out what was going on. The manager of the branch found out that the school taxes were off and told me to contact [redacted], who was our Mortgage Loan Originator. Steve suggested that perhaps our house had been reassessed or the school tax had increased. On November 4, 2013, I contacted the tax bureau and they said there was no reassessment of our home and the taxes only went up $28.00 the entire year. Obviously there was a mistake on [redacted] part and I would not have purchased the house if the numbers were correct because I could not afford the mortgage. I borrowed the $1105.96 to fix the escrow shortage however the $797.15 is almost impossible for me and my wife to pay every month due to the fact that we have a 7 month old child and my wife is disabled.Desired Settlement: I do not feel that it is right that the $1105.96 should come out of my pocket because the mistake was not mine. I feel that PNC needs to reimburse me the $1105.96 and maybe help with the raise in the mortgage.

Review: My wife and I were cashing our tax refund checks. Both of our names were on the checks and both of use endorsed them. We have done this in the past with our wedding checks and they were cashed, so we thought they would go through. We deposited three checks, and found out the next day, that only the small check of $44 went through. The two larger checks of $4000 and $3000 would not. Their rational is that both of our names were not on the account. Remember though, they did cash the $44 dollar check which still violated their policy of not having both names on the account. When we talked to PNC customer service, they said $44 dollars was less of a risk to them. When we tried to get the checks back, we were told that they would have them mailed by 4/11/14. That is what they said, not what has happened. When we checked to see if they were mailed on 4/12/14, they said they were sealed in the machine and sent to processing and they would be mailed from that department, which meant that it would take up to a week for us to get the checks in the mail. This is leaving PNC with our money for a week plus. They are going to send the endorsed checks via mail. Who is to say someone may not open and steal them leaving us with out our money.Desired Settlement: We want our money back.

Review: on april 24 2012 the teller gave cash on money drawn off of out of state bad check when overdraft savings account had insuffcient funds to cover check I went to local pnc branch to inform them of this situation, and they assured me they would work with me, as we were all victims of fraud. however, pnc teller should not have given cash back on same day from an out of state check, with not enough funds in either account to cover check. the checking and savings account was in my daughter [redacted]'s name and mine. after many different conversations with pnc, and after they changed there minds about telling me one thing and then another, they ended up doing what they said they would not do. they debited my savings account (which was in my name only and was not linked as any overdraft account to any other accounts) to recover the funds they should have never given in the first place. they put the whole loss on me, and then charged overdraft charges in top of it!!! this has cost me $3050.56 of which is unfair and unethical. I am a 3 year stage 3c ovarian cancer patient and have lived in b'ham al my entire life and have never had this type of thing happen to me ever. it is still fresh on my mind and I am not over this injustice. this has hurt my family and I hope that pnc will be sorry one day for what they have done, and if not sorry, then stop doing business the way they do business.Desired Settlement: $3050.56. Please read above complaint detail!

Response:

my daughter was given an out of state business check to deposit (which turned out to be a bad check, but this fact was unknown at the time) to deposit into her checking account. She is a college student, and carries an average daily balance in her checking account of about $23 per month. Her savings account had about $1000 in it, and was designated to be her overdraft account that was linked with her checking account. Both of her accounts were joint accounts, with me her Mom, being the second name on the account. I had same type set up with my son who is also a college student. In addition to these 4 joint accounts with PNC Bank, I had my personal (individual) checking account with them and a personal money market (individual) account as well. Anyhow, on April 24, 2012 when this out of state business check was deposited into her checking account (as was instructed by her boss , who we now know to be the crook), she specifically asked the teller "when will these funds be available to cash?" the teller replied "in a couple of hours." So, after a couple of hours, my daughter took out the cash in the same amount as the check. She was given almost $3000 in cash from an out of state check, even though her balance in both of her accounts was much less, however she had been told that in a couple of hours funds would be available, and then given to her. She then continued on with her assignment which was to purchase a postal money order and mail it to particular person and address. Two days later is when she learned that the check was bad, and that it had been returned, and (of course) her employer's contact number had been disconnected and etc...! She called me very upset, and I was upset too. I immediately drove to my local PNC branch where all my accounts were originally opened , and informed the branch manager what had happened. They contacted the [redacted] PNC bank branch where my daughter attends school and where the deposit was made (and where teller told her it only took a couple of hours for out of state funds to clear) and he assured us that everything would be alright and that they would work with me in resolving this problem, or scam, which [redacted] and PNC both seemed to be victims of at the time. He advised for me to have [redacted] go back to the [redacted] branch and fill out an Avidafit of Fraud application, which she did. However, when she got to the branch, the manager then told her that she could not fill out an Avidfit of Fraud Application because it would be on herself. She did not understand this, nor I, since that is what we were told to do. After much confusion, PNC said "never mind" and that this returned item would be written off as a loss. (During this time I also contacted the university police, the postal inspector, fed-ex, fbi, and ups, and etc... in hopes to stop, catch, and prevent these crooks from doing this scam again. However, it has been like chasing a ghost, but I still have my documentation from all the work I have done during this entire process. My worst fear came true and I felt even more victimized when in late May of 2012, Pnc debited my personal account for over $3000 to recover their loss. What about my loss? Didn't they share some responsibiliy in what happened? Didn't that teller tell [redacted] the funds would be available in a couple of hours, even though it was an out of state business check? why would they give almost $3000 to a 20 year old college student whose average daily balance is $23 ? this should have been a red flag to the teller! If only she had said a couple of days rather than a couple of hours ! My daughter ([redacted]) is on the dean's list , but not "street smart" and very young and naive. Why didn't the teller get suspicious from the get go? Nevertheless, at the very least this loss should be split 50/50. I agree we were both victims of fraud, but Pnc is further hurting me by taking their money and moving on and washing their hands of the whole incident. Meanwhile my family is devasted by Pnc actions to do what they have chosen to do. I am paying for this 100% and it is not fair or ethical or right. Not to mention, I have been fighting stage 3-C ovarian cancer since 2010 and had a reoccurance in 2012. My last treatment was in Dec 2012, and my income down and 2 kids in college this has really hurt my family. I know we were both victims of a scam, but with what they have done, they take no responsibility in what happened at all. Anyhow, I hope this is clear, and will mail you the privacy notice too. Thank You for reading. ~

Dear Mrs. [redacted]:

Your concerns addressed to [redacted], Loss Prevention manager have been forwarded to PNC Bank Executive Client Relations Office for review and response. The objective of my office is to respond to client concerns that have been escalated to the highest corporate level. Thank you for your patience during the time necessary to gather information pertinent to your concern.

Our records indicate the following sequence of events on your PNC Bank checking account ending [redacted] which is joint ownership with your daughter, [redacted]:

• On April 24, 2012 a deposit of $2990.50 was made to your PNC Bank Checking Account.

• A second deposit of $3990.50 was made to your account on April 26,2012,

• PNC Bank presented the checks for payment to the issuing banks in order to collect the funds. However, both checks were returned unpaid.

• As a result, on April 30, 2012 your PNC Bank Checking Account was charged for $2990.50 and $3990.50, the amount of the returned items.

• The reversal of the returned items overdrew your account ending 1577.

• The account continued to reflect a negative balance until on May 18,2012 when PNC Bank exercised a right of

offset in the amount of $3050.56 on your individual account ending 1569.

• On May 22, 2012, written correspondence was sent informing you of PNC Bank's decision to close your account ending 1577.

According to PNC Bank's Consumer Account Agreement, “All non-cash deposits are posted to your account subject to our receipt of final payment If final payment is not received, we will charge your account for the amount of those deposits, for any interest earned on those deposits and for our return of deposited item charge as well, even if those deposits have already been made available to you. If this charge creates an overdraft, you agree to pay us the amount of the overdraft immediately and we will charge your account a service charge for the overdraft". I have mailed this account document to you under separate cover.

While PNC Bank is sympathetic to the issue raised, no bank error occurred during the reversal of the deposited items. Therefore, PNC Bank must advise you to contact the issuer of the checks directly to request reimbursement to you for the checks that were returned unpaid. Thank you for the opportunity to clarify our position in this matter.

Sincerely,

[redacted] Executive Client Relations Office

Response:

Dear Revdex.com,

Yes, I reject this recent response from PNC, as well as their Sept 2012 response too, (which are basically one in the same) and thus prompted me to contact you regarding this unresolved and very important (at least to me) situation. I strongly disagree with the contents of their recap in that Sept 2012 letter, and dispute the "clarity of their position" very much. My daughters accounts had far less on deposit than the fraudulent check PNC willing cashed without a hold on the funds, and assisted in the consummation of this fraud. It is clear to me that PNC takes no responsibility in this at all, even though I sought advise from them immediately after learning of the incident from my daughter, who was still at the [redacted] branch at the time, and had just learned of it herself. I got in the car and immediately drove 5 minutes to my local PNC [redacted] Branch (where all accounts were opened and who I thought were suppose to protect their own customers ) and with my daughter still on the phone, informed them of what had happened. I spoke with the branch manager and banking representative, and they assured me that no action would be taken to confiscate my money, in which my daughter had no ownership. They eventually did what they said they would not do and did confiscate my funds to pay for a mistake that they made. My daughter was victimized and PNC had a part in contributing to what occurred by not holding her funds on deposit longer than "a couple of hours"! Their teller should have known better, and so should have that bank! I was only an accommodation party to this incident. Many parents have their names on their childs accounts as a secondary account holder and yet the childs names aren't all of their parents, and that is for a reason, just like their is a reason you have an overdraft account assigned to a certain checking account. if the bank is going to pull money out of anybody associated with one account holder to pay for the mistakes the bank made on another account holder, we should never do business with a bank like that. SCARRY! This is not over, and I may contact my local news and/or take legal action against them. I am feeling well enough now (Thank GOD) to do so ! Thank you Revdex.com for reading and for trying to assist ~

Review: I have an excellent credit rating and the 20% down in the bank. I want to buy a completely refinished 110 year old home. Pnc said no problem and began processing the loan. I get the appraisal done and waited. They said everything is fine but needed a foundation inspection for $675 but will not charge me unless I did not use them for the mortgage. The foundation inspection came back with a good report. I waited another few weeks with no indication there was a problem. At the last hour pnc told me the house that I was buying was "unique" and would not lend me the money. The problem is rates have gone up over 1% making my payment go up another $80 a month because of the rate increase. Pnc wants me to pay the $675 for the foundation inspection that they ordered. The worse part I had to be out of my house because the new owners had to take possession of their house. I now have to move my 5 kids, my wife and all of our stuff in with my in-laws. I wanted to use pnc because that is who I bank with. I can't believe this legal. It's one thing if I have bad credit, not enough money down or the house didn't pass inspection or appraisal, but everything did, the reason my loan wasn't approved is because they said the house was unique. This loan is out of the [redacted] office and my loan officer was [redacted]Desired Settlement: I do not feel I should have to pay the foundation inspection and also feel because the rate went up I should be compensated.

Review: Over the last 3 months, PNC has re-sequenced my transactions in order to maximize the number of overdraft fees charged to my account. Each overdraft fee is $36.00, regardless of the amount overdrawn. This all started at the end of December and has triggered as massive snowball effect in my account that has led to a total of $1,317.00 in overdraft fees over a 90 day period. Each time I used my debit card I made sure that there was an available balance to cover the transaction. I even checked the account after the purchase was made and saw that the available balance had decreased by the amount of the purchase and the transaction would clear without any issues. But then I started to notice that my smaller transactions were reordered to ensure posting when funds were insufficient. Additionally, they have held non PNC Bank ATM withdrawal fees ($2.50) for several days, sometimes even weeks after the actual transaction occurred, and then charge $36.00 for each $2.50 fee. I have a premium account due to the amount deposited each month and one of the benefits of this account is reimbursement of Non PNC Bank ATM fees. So they post the $2.50 fee when they see it will cause an overdraft, charge me the $36.00 OD fee and then reimburse the $2.50 fee at the end of the period. These practices are highly unethical and are carried out with malicious intent. This is nothing new to PNC, as they have settled multiple class action lawsuits over the last 5 years concerning this very practice of transaction re-sequencing to increase their fee based revenue. The problem is, these settlements require the bank to pay only a fraction of what they are making on this unethical practice, therefore they continue to extort money from their customers. This will not stop because the amount the courts require them to pay make it a no brainer to continue charging these fees. There is no honor in this!Desired Settlement: As mentioned earlier, this has led to a total of $1,317.00 over the last 90 days alone. That amount has the ability to cripple most families in America. I am supporting my ailing mother who has recently had to stop life enhancing treatment because I am no longer able to afford it (which I don't expect PNC to consider because it has no affect on their income statement's bottom line). I am requesting a majority refund of fees to resolve this matter.

Instead of declining the transactions with my $1.64 balance, PNC Bank elected to allow these three purchases to go through only to charge me an overdraft fee ($34) for each purchase. THIS IS NOT GOOD BUSINESS. This IS a great way to rip-off customers, though. Not only was I charged for the three transactions, the account also incurred daily overdraft fees because I was not informed that I was negative. Not via email, not via phone - not until 7 days later when I received a letter in the mail. By then, additional fees added up and my account was closed. I requested in person to have fees removed PRIOR to closing my account. This did not happen and resulted in more fees. The first letter, received on 2/21/2014, merely stated that I was negative $108.00 and that PNC covered 3 transactions for you like it was some kind of gift. Here you go, we paid these and then charged you more to pay them, youre welcome-No!!!It is not a courtesy for your customers when the bank immediately charges overdraft fees for passing through transactions - that is fraudulent. I made a $160 deposit to the PNC Branch in[redacted] in cash. The teller ([redacted] on 2/21/14) was supplied with my identification and proper account information however she did not inform me that I was still negative AFTER the deposit! She just smiled at me like nothing was wrong. WHY IN THE WORLD would a teller not inform a customer who has shown proper identification that they still have a negative balance? The second letter was received on 2/28/14 and stated that my account has been overdrawn for 12 days. 12 DAYS?!?! I was just there 7 days ago!! The total amount overdrawn is $129.81 according to the letter. I met with Sabrina Beese and initiated a conversation regarding my overdraft account. I told her that I could not afford the fees and would like to see if they could be reduced BEFORE my account on 2/21/2014. My account was closed and shuffled off to collections... *no more room for details*Desired Settlement: I am requesting, as a former banking customer of eight years, that a formal apology come in the form of a refund for the fees incurred. I am seeking $136 for the three $36 fees applied and the four $7.00 continuous overdraft charges.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I appreciated the professional assistance that was provided once the Revdex.com reached out on my behalf.

Retail location, and retail escalation group are incompetent. I went to a branch to inquire about interest accrued on some bonds; the teller did not ask for my ID at any point, and proceeded to cash ALL of the bonds without my ok - I wanted half deposited, and half saved to continue to earn interest. I made that clear, twice. Retail escalation has been unresponsive for 2 days after promising a resolution the day of. Pitiful.

Review: I was under the impression that my checking account with PNC was covered with Overdraft Protection by my Virtual Wallet account (which had more than enough money to cover amounts overdrawn from my checking account) because I signed up for Overdraft Protection online and received a letter stating so. On 4/10/14 my checking account was overdrawn and I was charged TWO $36.00 overdraft fees. I called PNC requesting that the fees be refunded, but I was only refunded one of the fees and was told that the letter I received actually meant something else and not that I had Overdraft Protection. The letter reads, "We are confirming your PNC Overdraft Coverage setting. This notice confirms that your account referenced above has been opted in to PNC Overdraft Coverage by either you or a joint owner of the account." If this letter does not mean that the Overdraft Protection was set up then I feel it is very misleading. I spoke with Jackie and was told that the second fee could not be refunded because a previous supervisor already made a decision to return only one of them. This was frustrating because when this refund was offered to me previously I declined it due to wanting both fees refunded. I have banked with PNC for many years and I feel as though I have been robbed by the company and mislead by the letter that was sent to me and the online confirmation I received that the protection had been set up.Desired Settlement: I would like for the second $36.00 overdraft fee to be refunded to my account as soon as possible.

Review: PNC has been holding my federal refund from the [redacted] since 6/26/13. They keep telling me the check has been mailed out but then when I speak to someone else they say it wasn't mailed out on the date they told me. They keep giving me the run around. I already had to wait until July to get my refund and now they won't release the rest of my funds. Is there anything I can do?Desired Settlement: I want them to give me something for all the inconvience they are causing me.

Thank You,

Review: I have been trying to close my account with PNC for 3 months now. I have called and worked with several representatives from the organization. I told them at the end of last year I wanted to close my account. They left it open and allowed other companies to continue to draw from it. I received a letter, expecting to be my remaining sum, that I was instead overdrawn. I called and had the issue settled, but only after having to pay fees to have my account brought back up to a positive would they refund their "service fees". The representative told me they had to wait 30 days and put a hold on my account so no money could be used. About 2 weeks later I got another letter stating I was being over drawn. This time for their own internal fees for other accounts and their own over drafting. Again, I had to pay fees to get my account, which has not been used in months, to a positive value. They then repaid what they charged, but still charged me a fee. This time we closed out the savings and money market account that they were charging fees for because they had no money in it. I told them to close all the accounts immediately. They sent me 3 letters stating that my savings was closed, my money market was closed, and that my checking would be closed shortly and the remainder sent to me. After weeks of no response I check and see that again, I am being charged fees for maintaining accounts that I no longer have, specifically the savings and money market. I called and waited on hold for several hours only to be disconnected when their business hours ended. I called in again and was told they could not help tonight. My checking account is still open. Originally I was to get a return of $73.37. After paying them an additional $250 and $10 to get it back to a positive balance, I was told I would be getting a total of $195.51, but on last check, there is only $122.20 left in my account. Even if I get this returned, I am still out $211.17 that I already had or paid them additional.Desired Settlement: Since my original amount at request of closure was $73.37 and I paid an additional $250 and $10 in fees because they did not close my account, I would like compensation of my original value plus the unnecessary fees of $333.37.

Review: I AM WRITING THIS LETTER ON BEHALF OF MYSELF AND THE BAD WAY I FEEL I WAS TREATED BY A FEW EMPLOYEES OF PNC BANK THAT HANDLED MY TWO PAST DUE ACCOUNTS THAT WERE CHARGED OFF AND A SETTLEMENT WAS DONE ON THEM BY ME.I WOULD LIKE TO SAY IS THAT I AM A 48 YEAR OLD MAN THAT IS FIGHTING A LIFE THREATING DESEASE CALLED ...HIV/AIDS AND I HAVE BEEN BATTLING THIS DESEASE FOR 24 LONG YEARS NOW.THE TWO ACCOUNTS IN QUESTION ARE AS FOLLOWS: PNC [redacted] CARD: [redacted] OPENED: 02/07/2012 THIS ACCOUNT HAD A VERY GOOD OUSTANDING PAYMENT HISTORY FOR 7 MONTHS.PAYMENTS:· APRIL 2012 - $30.00· MAY 2012 - $1490.00· JUNE 2012 - $1200.00· JULY 2012 - $390.00· AUGUST 2012 - $60.00· SEPTEMBER 2012 - $40.00· OCTOBER 202 - $100.00FOR 7 MONTHS THIS ACCOUNT WAS PAID AS AGREED AND IN THOSE SEVEN MONTHS I EVEN PAID THE BALANCE IN FULL A FEW TIMES.PNC LOAN # [redacted]OPENED: 01/06/2012 THE PAYMENTS ON THIS LOAN WERE MADE ON TIME FOR 7 MONTHS.PAYMENTS: · APRIL 2012 – $120.00· MAY 2012 – $120.00· JUNE 2012 – $120.00· JULY 2012 – $120.00· AUGUST 2012 – $240.00· SEPTEMBER 2012 – MADE DOUBLE MADE IN AUGUST 2012· OCTOBER 2012 - $120.00 GETTING BACK TO MY LETTER THE FIRST THING I WOULD LIKE TO SAY TO PNC BANK IS THAT BOTH OF THE ABOVE ACCOUNTS DID CHARGE OFF AND THE CREDIT CARD WAS PLACED WITH AN OUTSIDE AGENCY THAT PNC BANK PLACES THEIR [redacted] ACCOUNTS THAT CHARGEOFF, THE AGENCY IS CALLED [redacted] COLLECTION AGENCY. WHEN I FIRST STARTED DEALING WITH [redacted] COLLECTION AGENCY I MADE THIS COLLECTION AGENCY THAT PNC BANK PLACED THE [redacted] CARD WITH VERY WELL AWARE OF MY SITUATION WITH MY HEALTH AND THE FACT THAT I HAVE HIV/AIDS AND THAT I LIVE ON A LIMITED INCOME OF SSI AND I COULD NOT AFFORD TO PAY THE [redacted] CARD BECAUSE IF I DID IT WOULD TAKE MY DRUG MONEY OUT OF MY MOUTH THAT I NEED TO STAY ALIVE NOT TO MENTION THE INHALERS I HAVE TO PAY FOR TO BE ABLE TO BREATH EVERY DAY.WHEN DEALING WITH THIS COLLECTION AGENCY ([redacted]) I DEALT WITH A MAN NAMED MR. [redacted], THE COLECTOR, AND I EXPLAINED TO HIM THAT I AM TOTALLY DISABLED FIGHTING HIV/AIDS AND I LIVE ON A LIMITED INCOME AND THE BEST I COULD DO IS 10% SETTLEMENT ON THE [redacted] CARD AND THAT MY 80 YEAR OLD MOTHER WOULD PAY IT IF HE COULD GET THIS AMOUNT APPROVED.MR. [redacted] THAT WORKS FOR [redacted] COLLECTION AGENCY THAT PNC CONTRACTS THEIR [redacted] ACCOUNTS OUT TO FOR COLLECTION, ASKED ME IF I COULD SEND HIM ANY MEDICAL PROOF TO BACK UP MY CLAIM ,AND HE TOLD ME THIS WOULD HELP HIM IN TRYING TO GET PNC BANK TO SETTLE THE ABOVE [redacted] ACCOUNT FOR A 10% SETTLEMENT, MR. [redacted] ALSO INFORMED ME THAT WHATEVER I SENT HIM TO BACK UP MY DISABILITY CLAIM VIA FAX OR EMAIL WOULD NEVER GO ANYWHERE BUT HIS OFFICE, “WHATEVER YOU SEND ME MR. MURPHY WILL STAY WITH ME AND MY COMPANY AND NEVER LEAVE HERE”.SO AFTER TRUSTING IN THIS MAN, MR. [redacted], THAT WORKS FOR [redacted] COLLECTION AGENCY, I FIGURED WHAT DO I HAVE TO LOSE… SO I FAXED IN THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS TO MR [redacted] AT [redacted].· 1-PROOF OF MY SSI INCOME.· 2-MY [redacted] MEDICAL INSURANCE SHOWING I PAY OVER $200.00 A MONTH.· 3-A BREAK DOWN OF MY PERSONAL EXPENSES SUCH AS RENT, ECT.· 4-THE NAMES, PHONE NUMBERS, AND ADRESSESS TO ALL MY DOCTORS, HIV SPECIALIST, PSYCHIATRY DOCTOR, AND DERMOLOGIST.· 5-A COPY OF A DOCTOR’S NOTE EXCUSING ME FROM JURY DUTY.· 6-A LETTER FROM DR. [redacted] DATED 01/27/04 STATING I WAS UNDER HER CARE BACK IN 2004 AND I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH HIV IN 1991, AND IN THIS LETTER IT STATED, IN 1997 MY CD4 COUNT DECREASED TO 82, THUS CHANGING MY DIAGNOSIS TO AIDS.· 7-MY COMPLETE MEDICAL HEALTH SUMMARY FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN HOSPITAL SHOWING MY HIV DISEASE, MY VIRAL LOAD, AND ALL THE MEDICAITONS I HAVE TO TAKE ON A DAILY BASIS.NOW TO BRING YOU MORE UP TO SPEED ON THIS SITUATION, THE COLLECTOR, MR. [redacted] FROM [redacted] COLLECTION AGENCY DID GET BACK TO ME AFTER I FAXED HIM IN ALL MY MEDICAL INFORMATION SUPPORTING MY CLAIM PER HIS REQUEST, AND MR. [redacted] FROM [redacted] CLOECTION AGENCY DID GET BACK TO ME AND TELL ME THAT PNC BANK WOULD NOT EXCEPT THE 10% OFFER I MADE TO SETTLE THE [redacted] ACCOUNT BUT HE TOLD ME PNC BANK SAID THEY WERE WILLING TO SETTLE THE [redacted] ACCOUNT FOR 20% INSTEAD.WHEN SPEAKING TO MR. [redacted] IN THIS CONVERSATION… I BROKE DOWN INTO TEARS AND TOLD HIM THAT 20% WOULD TAKE MY HIV DRUG MONEY FROM ME AND I WOULD HAVE TO GO WITH OUT MY INHALERS AND HIV MEDICATIONS TO BE ABLE TO STAY ALIVE… I BEGGED HIM TO PLEASE HELP ME AND WHILE I WAS TALKING TO HIM HE TOLD ME THAT HE SENT ALL MY MEDICAL PROOF TO PNC BANK TO SUPPORT MY CLAIM. I DID NOT GIVE MR. [redacted] PERMISSION TO SEND MY PERSONAL MEDICAL INFORMATION TO ANYONE… I SIMPLY SENT IT TO HIM BECAUSE HE TOLD ME BEFORE I SENT HIM THE INFORMATION THAT THE INFORMATION WOULD NEVER GO ANYWHERE BUT WITH HIM. I FEEL SO VIOLATED HIS ACTIONS AND PNCS COLLECTION AGENCY THEY USE.WHEN I LEARNED THAT MR. [redacted] FROM [redacted] COLLECTION AGENCY SENT ALL MY MEDICAL INFORMATION VIA THE INTERNET TO PNC BANK I WAS LIVID AND VERY UPSET AT THIS POINT.SO I CONTACTED PNC BANK RECOVERY DEPARTMENT AND SPOKE TO A MAN NAMED [redacted]. OVER THIS SITUATION AND EXPLAINED TO MR. [redacted] THAT I AM TOTALLY DISABLED ON SSI FIGHTING HIV/AIDS AND LIVE ON A VERY LIMITED INCOME AND THAT I COULD NEVER RETURN BACK TO THE WORKING WORLD DO TO MY HEALTH SITUATION. WHILE SPEAKING TO [redacted]. IN PNC RECOVERY DEPARTMENT HE DID CONFIRM THAT [redacted] COLLECTION AGENCY DID IN FACT SEND ALL OF MY MEDICAL INFORMATION VIA THE INTERNET TO THEM AND MR. [redacted] ASSURED ME THAT IT WOULD NEVER LEAVE THERE COMPANY TO PNC BUT [redacted]. TOLD ME NOT TO WORRY BECAUSE IT CAME IN OVER A SECURED SERVER.STOP ME IF I AM WRONG HERE …PNC BANK IS A BANK … A CREDIT CARD COMPANY …NOT A MEDICAL DATA HOUSER OF PEOPLE’S PERSONAL MEDICAL INFORMATION. IT WOULD BE A VERY INTERSTING THING TO FIND OUT HOW MANY OTHER PEOPLE’S PERSONAL MEDICAL RECORDS ARE IN PNC BANKS RECOVERYS DATA BASE,…I DO HOPE MY SITUATION WAS A ISOLITED ONE.I HAVE ALSO ASKED [redacted]. SEVERAL TIMES IN OUR CONVERATION THAT DAY TO PLEASE DESTROY MY MEDICAL INFORMATION THAT PNC BANK HAS IN THEIR SYSTEM THAT THE COLLECTION AGENCY SENT TO PNC BANK AND ALL THREE TIMES HE TOLD ME THAT I DON’T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT ANYTHING BECAUSE THE MEDICAL INFORMATION PNC BANKS COLLECTION AGENCY SENT TO PNC CAME IN ON A SECURE SITE. I GUESS THIS MAKES ME AS WELL AS MANY PEOPLE AWARE OF THIS SITUATION THINK THAT YOUR RECOVERY DEPARTMENT THINKS IT IS OK TO HAVE PEOPLE’S MEDICAL INFORMATION…SO NOT RIGHT. I DO HOPE THAT THE CEO WILLIAM S. DEMCHAK WOULD AGREE WITH ME BECAUSE IF THIS WAS HIS MEDICAL INFORMATION PNC BANK HAD IN THEIR RECOVERY SYSTEM AGAINST HIS OWN WILL AND HE ASKED THEM TO DESTROY IT AND THEY KEEP TELLING HIM IT’S OK BECAUSE IT CAME IN ON A SECURE SERVER… THAT MAKES IT SEEM LIKE THE RECOVERY DEPARTMENT THINKS IT’S OK TO STORE PEOPLE’S MEDICAL INFORMATION AT PNC BANK.WHEN I WAS DEALING WITH [redacted]. IN RECOVERY, HE WENT OVER MY CREDIT CARD ACCOUNT AND SAID TO ME OVER THE PHONE THAT THE ACCOUNT WAS NOT OPENED THAT LONG BEFORE IT WENT DELINQUENT AND THE ACCOUNT ONLY HAD A FEW PAYMENTS …I DISAGREEDED WITH HIM AND TOLD HIM THE ACCOUNT WAS OPENED OVER 7 MONTHS AND IN THOSE 7 MONTHS ALL PAYMENTS WERE MADE ON TIME AND THERE WAS EVEN A FEW MONTHS WHERE I COMPLETILY PAID OFF THE ENTIRE BALANCE AND THE PAYMENT RECORD SPEAKS FOR ITSELF.IN ADDITION TO THIS WHEN DEALING WITH [redacted]. IN YOUR RECOVERY DEPARTMENT HE ALSO BROUGHT UP THE PNC LOAN I HAD THAT CHARGED OFF AND ASKED ME WHAT I WANTED TO DO ON THAT ONE, I EXPLAINED THAT I’M FIGHTING HIV/AIDS, ON A LIMITED INCOME (SSI) AND I COULD NOT DO ANYTHING YET DUE TO MY FINANCIAL SITUATION. AFTER HANGING UP THE PHONE WITH [redacted]. THAT DAY MY 80 YEAR OLD MOTHER SAW HOW STRESSED I WAS OVER THIS WHOLE SITUATION AND OFFERED TO ASSIST ME AND TOLD ME TO CALL [redacted]. BACK AND TELL HIM WE WOULD BE ABLE TO PAY A 10% SETTLEMENT ON BOTH ACOUNTS, THE LOAN AND THE CREDIT CARD. MY MOTHER FIGURED LET’S GET RID OF BOTH ACCOUNTS SO THERE WOULD BE NO MORE STRESS AND NO MORE STORING OF MY MEDICAL INFORMATION ANYWHERE IT SHOULD NOT BE.AFTER ALL OF THIS [redacted]. DID TAKE THIS MATTER TO HIS BOSS AND GOT THE 10% APROVED ON BOTH ACCOUNTS... THE CREDIT CARD AND THE LOAN.TWO LETTER WERE SENT OUT TO ME DATED FEBRUARY 13TH 2014 ON BOTH ACCOUNTS SAYING PNC BANK IS WILLING TO ACCEPT $524.46 ON THE LOAN #[redacted] AND A SEPARATE LETTER FOR THE CREDIT CARD #[redacted] STATING PNC WAS WILLING TO ACCEPT $229.60 ON THE CREDIT CARD AND I HAD TO FEBURARY THE 28TH TO HONER THIS AND I DID, THE ABOVE TWO ACOUNTS WERE PAID IN A SETTLEMENT.I AM ASKING PNC BANK AS A GOOD COMPANY WITH GOOD MORALS TO PLEASE STOP ALL CREDIT REPORTING ON THE LOAN AND CREDIT CARD AND TO PLEASE JUST DELETE THE TRADES FROM MY PERSONAL CREDIT FILES DO TO THE FACT OF WHAT I HAD TO GO THROUGH WITH YOUR RECOVERY DEPARTMENT IN TRYING TO SETTLE THE ABOVE REFFRENCE ACCOUNTS…NO ONE BUT NO ONE SHOULD EVER HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THEIR MEDICAL INFORMATION NOT BEING SECURED AND BEING SHARED WITH ANYONE BUT THEIR OWN DOCTORS, AND NO ONE BUT NO ONE SHOULD EVER BE SHAMED , BELITTLED, AND FEEL HUMILATED . AND FEEL MEDICALLY VILOATED WITH THEIR MEDICAL INFORMATION LIKE I WAS PUT THROUGH WITH PNC BANK.ANYONE THAT WORKS FOR PNC BANK THAT READS THIS LETTER AND SAYS TO THEMSELVES THAT THEY WOULD FEEL VIOLATED IF THEY WERE ME, AND THAT PNC BANK IS NOT A HOUSER OF PEOPLE’S MEDICAL INFORMATION AND THAT PNC BANK’S RECOVERY DEPARTMENT SHOULD NOT BE RETAINING PEOPLE’S MEDICAL INFORMATION WOULD UNDERSTAND HOW VIOLATED I FEEL, AND THAT’S THE REASION I AM ASKING FOR A CREDIT BUREAU ADJUSTMENT.NOT FOR ANYTHING PNC BANK BUT WHEN YOU REACH TO THE LEVEL OF USING PEOPLE’S MEDICAL INFORMATION ,THAT YOUR RECOVERY DEPARTMENT FEELS THAT THERE IS NO PROBLEM RETAINING IN THEIR SYSTEM ,YOURE REACHING TO A VERY LOW LEVEL PERSONALLY ON PEOPLE AND BECOMING INHUMAN ABOUT DOING BUSISNESS.I WANT TO SAY THAT I HAVE NO INTENTIONS OF FILING ANY COMPLAINTS BUT THIS ONE TO PNC BANK, AND I HAVE NO INTENTIONS OF SEEKING ANY KIND OF DAMAGES AT THIS POINT. ALL I WANT TO COME OUT OF THIS SITUATION IS PNC BANK TO REALIZE THAT IT’S NOT A VERY GOOD THING TO COLECT PEOPLE’S MEDICAL INFORMATION AND STORE IN IN YOUR RECOVERY SYSTEM. ALL I WANT TO COME OUT OF THIS IS FOR PNC BANK AS A ONE TIME COUTESY TO ME TO DELETE THE ABOVE TWO TRADES FROM MY CREDIT FILES AND STOP ALL CREDIT REPORTING ON THE TWO ABOVE ACCOUNTS. I WOULD LIKE TO GO ON WITH MY LIFE WHATEVER TIME I HAVE LEFT HERE ON THIS EARTH AND NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO EVER REMIND ME OF THIS HUMILATING SITUATION I WAS PUT THROUGH. IF NEEDED, I WILL SIGN A TOTAL RELEASE WITH PNC BANK RELEASING THE BANK OF ANY WRONG DOINGS THAT MAY HAVE OCCURRED HERE TO PROCECT PNC BANK AS WELL AS MYSELF. ALL I WANT IS PNC BANK TO DO HERE IS TOTALLY DELETE THE ABOVE MENTIONED ACCOUNTS FROM MY CREDIT FILES AND NEVER REPORT THEM AGAIN AND MEANTIME PLEASE LOOK INTO YOUR RECOVERY DEPARTMENT’S ETHICS ON RETAINING CONSUMER’S PERSONAL MEDICAL INFORMATION.TODAY I HAVE SPOKE TO ALL THREE CREDIT REPORTING AGENCIES TRANSUNION, EXPERIAN, AND EQUIFAX AND ALL THREE CREDIT REPORTING AGENCYS HAVE INFORMED ME THAT IF PNC BANK CHOSES NOT TO REPORT THESE TWO ACCOUNTS ANY LONGER TO MY CREDIT FILES THAT PNC BANK IS WITHIN THE FAIR CREDIT REPORTING ACT. ALL THREE CREDIT BUREAUS HAVE INFORMED ME THAT ANY CREDITOR IS ALLOWED TO DELETE AND STOP ALL CREDIT REPORTING ON A TRADELINE AT ANYTIME THEY FEEL THEY WANT TO. THE ONLY THING A CREDITOR IS NOT ALLOWED TO DO IS MIS-REPORT CREDIT INFORMATION ABOUT A CONSUMER’S ACCOUNT. AND THE FTC HAS ALSO CONFIRMED TO ME THAT PNC BANK IS WITHIN THEIR RIGHTS IF THEY CHOSE TO STOP ALL CREDIT REPORTING ON THE ABOVE TWO ACCOUNTS AND DELETE THEM FROM MY CREDIT FILES TOO. I HAVE ALSO SPOKE TO A REAL NICE MAN NAMED [redacted] IN YOUR ESCALTION’S DEPARTMENT AND SHARED WITH HIM THAT ALL I WANT OUT OF THIS SITUATION IS TO HAVE PNC BANK DELETE THE TWO CREDIT ACCOUNTS IN QUESTION FROM MY PERSONAL CREDIT FILES AND STOP ALL CREDIT REPORTING ON THEM, AND HE DID SHARE WITH ME THAT WHAT I WAS ASKING FOR WAS NOT A BIG DEAL TO PROBALLY DO IF IT CAN BE DONE, AND IT CAN BE DONE WITH IN THE FTC REGULATIONS. ENCLOSING, THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO READ THIS LETTER AND ALLOWING ME A CHANCE AS A CUSTOMER THAT IS NOT IN GOOD HEALTH TO SHARE WITH THE CORPORATE PEOPLE THE SITUATION AT HAND AND I DO HOPE AND PRAY THAT NO OTHER COUSTOMER OF THE PNC BANK COMPANY EVER HAS TO GO THROUGHT THE MESS I HAD TO GO THROUGH… IF PNC BANK DOES NOT KNOW WHERE THEIR SYSTEM IS BROKE…HOW DO THEY FIX IT.

Desired Settlement: I WOULD LIKE PNC BANK AS A ONE TIME COURSITY TO ME FOR WHAT THARE RECOVERY DEPARTMENT PUT ME THROUGH WITH MY MEDICAL INFORMATION TO PLEASE STOP ALL CREDIT REPORTING ON THE ACCOUNTS AND THAN ILL BE HAPPY AND NOT TAKE THIS ANY FURTHER. THANK YOU ..[redacted].

Response:

Please allow me to respond to your correspondence addressed to [redacted], President and Chief Executive Officer, The PNC Financial Services Group, regarding your PNC Bank, National Association ("PNC") Points Credit Card Account, ending in [redacted] (“Account”) and your Unsecured Installment Loan ending [redacted] (“Loan Account”). I appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns. On February 11, 2014 you requested a settlement of your Account with [redacted] (“[redacted]”), who assists PNC with the collection of past due accounts owed to PNC. In support of your settlement request you provided a document to [redacted] that included your medical records. PNC declined your settlement offer and countered with an offer to settle for 20% ($459.21) for the Account. On February 13, 2014, we then offered a one-time payment of $229.60 (10%) to settle the Account in full. We also offered the 10% settlement offer to settle your Loan Account as well, for an amount of $524.46. This settlement offer was accepted and you requested a telephone payment to be processed. During this process, we advised that your accounts would be reported as settled or paid for less than the full balance to the credit bureaus to which we report and this reporting may negatively affect your credit score. As a result of this complaint, we have modified how the accounts are reporting to reflect that the reporting was disputed and the investigation was completed. Enclosed are letters dated February 13, 2014, March 1, 2014, and March 19, 2014 for your records. During your conversations with PNC, you have stated that the Bank violated your privacy, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (“HIPAA”) and Federal Trade Commission (“FTC”) regulations by obtaining a copy of your medical records. [redacted] is acting on behalf of PNC with regard to the resolution of the debts owed by you on the Accounts and as such had the right to review the documents you voluntarily provided in support of your settlement request. PNC has destroyed the records you provided, as you have requested. In addition, you have requested that the Bank stop reporting your accounts with PNC as an accommodation based on the alleged mishandling of your medical information. PNC’s position is that your request was handled appropriately. As such, your request to delete the reporting of your accounts is respectfully declined. We have investigated and confirmed that PNC is furnishing the information about the accounts accurately. There is no further action that PNC will take on this issue and we will not respond to any further communication from you regarding this matter. Thank you for your time in allowing me to review your concerns and to clarify our position.

Response:

IN REFF TO COMPLAINT #[redacted], NOT FOR ANYTHING PNC BANK PLEASE LOOK AT YOUR VERY OAWN LETTER DATED MARCH THE 19TH 2014 THAT REFERANCESS ACCOUNT ###############; THIS WAS A CREDIT CARD NOT A MORTGAGE AS YOU PUT IN MY DATED LETTER FROM 03/19/2014..QUOTE UN QUOTE …AS STATED IN YOUR VERY OWN LETTER.

WE WILL FOLLOW STANDARD INDUSTRY PRACTICES AND REPORT TO THE MAJOR CREDIT REPORTING AGENCIES THAT YOU’RE MORTGAGE WAS SETTLED FOR LESS THAN THE FULL PAYMENT.

STOP ME IF I AM WRONG BUT THIS IS A CREDIT CARD, NOT A MORTGAGE, AND MY REFERENCE PAID LETTER SHOULD READ CORECTIALLY...

AGAIN MY PERSONAL LOAN 23-01-############ WAS A PERSONAL UNSECURED LOAN NOT A MORTGAGE AND THE LETTER DATED MARCH 1ST 2014 CLEARLY STATES AGAIN THAT WE WILL FOLLOW STANDARD INDUSTRY PRACTICES AND REPORT TO THE MAJOR CREDIT REPORTING AGENCIES THAT YOUR MORTGAGE WAS SETTLED FOR LESS THAN THE FULL PAYMENT.

THESE LETTERS FROM PNC BANK ARE SUPPOSE TO BE SETTLEMENT LETTERS TO THE CONSUMER THAT ARE PREPARED FOR THE CONSUMER AND SENT TO THE CONSUMER AFTER THE PAYMENT HAS BEEN MADE, AND THE LETTERS SHOULD READ CORRECT.

IT WOULD BE VERY INTRESTING TO LEARN HOW MANY OTHER CONSUMERS HAVE HAD DEBTS WITH THIS BANK THAT HAVE RECEIVED THE SAME TYPE OF LETTERS SAYING THEIR MORTGAGE WAS PAID WHEN IT WAS A CREDIT CARD OR A UNSECURED LOAN.

AGAIN PNC BANK IF YOU DON’T KNOW WERE IT’S BROKE HOW DO YOU FIX IT.

DOWN THE ROAD WHENEVER I MAY NEED TO APPLY FOR CREDIT FOR A HOME OR WHATEVER THE PRODUCT MAY BE I WANT TO BE ABLE TO HAVE A LETTER THAT READS THAT I HAVE PAID A CREDIT CARD WHEN IT WAS A CREDIT CARD THAT WAS SETTLED AND DOWN THE ROAD I WANT TO BE ABLE TO BE ABLE TO HAVE A LETTER THAT I MAY OR MAY NOT HAVE TO BE PROVIDED TO A LENDER THAT CLEARLY SHOWS IT WAS A UNSECURED LOAN THAT I DID A SETTLEMENT ON, NOT A MORTGAGE LIKE PNCS LETTERS STATE.

IN CLOSING I WOULD LIKE TO SAY THAT AS A CONSUMER AGAIN I FEEL VERY VIOLATED AND PNC BANK IS NOT UP TO DATE ON THARE PAID LETTERS, I THINK EVERY LETTER THAT THIS BANK HAS PROVIDED TO THE PUBLIC AND EVERY CONSUMER LETTERS THAT READ LIKE MINE SHOULD HAVE TO BE RE DONE....

IF A CONSUMER GOES IN TO A STORE AND BUYS A SHIRT, HE OR SHE GETS A RECIPT FOR A SHIRT, NOT A COFFIE MAKER…BUT AGAIN I WILL GUARANTEE ANYONE THAT READS THIS LETTER THAT PNC BANK WILL TELL EVERYONE IN THERE RESPONSE THAT THARE PAID LETTERS ARE COMPUTER GENERATED..AND THIS IS NO EXCUSE...HOW MANY OTHERS HAVE RECIEVED THIS KINDA LETTER FROM PNC BANK SAYING A MORTGAGE WAS SETTLED FOR LESS THAN FULL BALANCE WHEN IT WAS A CREDIT CARD THAT WAS SETTLED.

I DO HOPE IN THE MIX OF THIS SITUATION THAT PNC BANK DOES NOT FEEL THAT THERE IS NOTHING WONG WITH THERE PAID LETTERS, AND I DO HOPE THAT PNC BANK DOES NOT COME BACK WITH A RESPONSE SAYING THAT THE MOST IMPORTANT THING HEAR IS THAT THERE REPORTING THE ACCOUNTS SETTLED FOR LESS WITH THE CREDIT BUREAUS, I HAVE GOT TO BELIEVE THAT THE PAID LETTERS SHOULD READ CORRECTLY TO, TO PROTECT THE CONSUMER...

SO I WANT MY PAID LETTERS TO BE RE-DONE BY PNC BANK. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME AGAIN PNC BANK.

Review: Twice PNC has sent name, address, and my ACCOUNT NUMBER to the wrong address in the wrong state!! I sent a request to have an account payment date changed. I never heard from PNC. They sent a letter with the information to my old address in VA even though my new address is on the account. I told them this and they said they would fix it. They did it again. Sending my name and account number to who knows who exposing me to identity theft yet again. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE BANKING PRACTICES!!!!!Desired Settlement: I want written proof that this will never happen again and a written document of what they will do to guarantee that their screw up will not effect my credit rating!!! If need be change my account number so the people that wrongly received the information can't use it to open new accounts anywhere else!!
