Review: PNC bank is a bunch of crooks. They charged me a NSF fee of 25.00 when it was a mistake on THEIR part for not pulling my car payment from my account. They said I didn't have the money in my checking account when I made the payment but I did. I resubmitted the payment to them 2 days later. Here it is a MONTH later and they are calling me telling me they need me to make a payment to $25.00 by today or they will charge me a late fee. They said they will not waive the fee because I don't have a checking account with them, I bank with another institute. I advise anyone looking to finance a car to never go with PNC!! I will be refinancing my car with my regular bank now. The call center staff are so unprofessional, especially the lady by the name of [redacted] who I spoke with (claiming to be a supervisor). Word of advice: stay far away from PNC!Desired Settlement: Hire some new professional staff and quit robbing people!

As I was comparibg my ledger with my online I noticed that several weeks I was charged for overdraft for transactions that were pending and that had posted. I coyldnt understand how is it that its legitimate for a bank to take money from me and I wonderdered how many othered consumers have they taken from. When I ask for a supervisor [redacted] got on the phone and wad rude. She told me that she couldn't help me. I asked for an email to soneobe whom can help me because I wanted my money refunded and as a customer I shouldn't have this issue and she told me she couldn't help me and no.Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Refund I would like my refund totally 144.00 in charges retured to me .

Review: I was told I would get $150 in my bank account if I set up direct deposit and made an e-bill payment. I did these, and as I was setting up the e-bill payment, I was told that the note about the $150 was not on my account and that I would not get it unless it was in. I was told someone would look into it but no one ever did.Desired Settlement: $150

Review: In February 2015 my aunt made a deposit into my account, she never stated how much. During the second week of March I went on a spring break trip to [redacted] and used my card wisely because I always checked my balance and wanted to make sure that I didnt overdraw my account. On the day before we left to come back to school I woke up to check my account before we left for lunch and noticed that my account had a negative balance. I had no idea why the bank had taken 60.00 out of my account so I quickly called to figure out the reasoning. They told me they didnt know what had happened and to call the authorites, so I did. The company told me that the teller accidentally entered the amount that my aunt deposited twice and it took them almost three weeks to notice the mistake, which was after the money had already been spent. The account that I had chosen was debit form so I didnt have the option of overdrawing my account. The bank proceeded to close my account because I wasn't able to pay the overdraft money to get back into the positive.Desired Settlement: Im not asking for a refund of the money, I would just like them to take my account out of the negative. It was not my fault that they incorrectly put in information and took so long to notice the mistake.

Review: I am a small business owner with business checking account opened at PNC bank.In august of 2014 PNC bank arbitrary broke the terms of contract and instituted a monthly fee on the service that was advertised as "free business checking" account. They never informed me in writing about this change of terms and by now PNC bank took away 72 US$ from my account.I consider this typical "bait and switch" tactics with breach of contract terms. All attempts to resolve this by asking PNC bank to close the account and refund me the money failed.Desired Settlement: Close the account and refund me the balance of $94.81 as of August 2014.

DO NOT OPEN A PNC ACCOUNT!

My experience with PNC began when they bought out my bank. Since then they have closed 4 local branches in 3 years. My branch was 20 minutes from my home. Now, I drive 45 to the closest branch and have to pay for parking.

I have my own checking account, a Visa, and two student virtual wallets where I co-sign with two of my sons with PNC. They keep merging my account information into my son's student account. The bank's attitude about this error is appalling to me. They are now refusing to fix it.

If you are looking for a bank, or looking to change banks, use anyone beside PNC unless you want inconvenient locations, apathetic customer service, and general frustration in your banking.

Review: I recently had my card at your branch replaced because it was stolen so the costumer representative on the phone had informed me that they would deactivate the card and send me a new one and it would take 7/10 business days. Which I was fine with I expressed to them that I needed to access my account to get some of my funds they informed me that I would be able to go in to any PNC branch and get emergency funds released and there should be no problem. When I went to the branch today March,17,2014 and tried to get money they informed me that they couldn't release any funds to me because they needed to send an email and wait for a response. I waited at the branch for over an hour and no one explained nor helped me further. I than preceded to call customer service again and they told me to go back to the branch and if I should have any issues to call them while I was at the branch. I did just that and still the branch manager did absolutely nothing to help me. I am very upset with your employees at this branch.Desired Settlement: I would like an explanation of why I was unable to get anything resolved and how the company plans on resolving the issue with me.

PNC Bank

Review: I deposited a check into my business account on a Friday in the amount of roughly $6,500. The next day on Saturday morning I deposited a check from my business account to the my personal account. I went to my local branch on Monday because the money had not gone into my personal account. The branch personal banker told me it would not clear until Tuesday because it was a Saturday deposit. I asked to stop the transfer and have the cash made available to me. The banker told me that was not possible because of PNC policy. I called customer service multiple times and was passed around no one would help me. I went back to the branch to withdraw the money from my business account as it was available there since it had not gone into my personal account. The personal banker stopped the transaction because she knew I had a check going to my personal account. I had to borrow money from friends while I was out of the country for a week and PNC held my money against my wishes. I was mocked and not authorized to do anything with my own personal money. I am in the process of switching to a bank with customer service.Desired Settlement: I would like PNC to review their operating system and create a system that would allow people to access their funds. I would also like an apology from the branch and the customer service department for their inadequate handling of my situation. No one should have the authority to keep an individual from accessing their own personal funds.

Review: I called PNC to request a stop payment on a charge I expected to come through fraudulently without my consent. I was assured by the customer service representative that the stop payment was effective and that my additional request to stop all overdraft coverage between accounts-was also completed. The fraudulent charge came through. PNC accepted the charge even though there was not enough money in my account to cover the fraudulent charge. PNC abstracted additional funds from my savings account to cover a charge that I completed a stop payment request upon. Upon trying to resolve this issue I was told that this was not a PNC issue and that PNC is not at fault. I gave PNC ample time to complete my stop payment request, as well as to remove all overdraft coverage assistance on all of my accounts- well in advance of the fradulent charge posting; not only did PNC ignore my entire request; the facility is denying responsibility for not handling my request appropriately. If the bank can not adequately provide assistance per customer, this fact should be made well in advance of accepting the publics finances to further procure PNC business. I will not stop finding a way to make the public aware of PNC's lack of customer responsibility, as this type of business practice is unacceptable.Thank you, [redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like an apology for the lack of truthful customer service I received, and the lack of important detailed information about the procedures of my request. Due to PNC not accepting responsibility and issuing a prompt refund of the money deducted from my accounts; I have had to endure a week without finances that I worked extremely hard to obtain. I am furious that I have to result to these extremes to obtain help with this company, and to ensure that this matter is resolved adequately: I would like a release of the bonus sign up money $100.00 (one hundred dollars) to my account immediately, as well as a refund of the $300.00 (three hundred dollars) deducted from my account for the fraudulent charge.Thank you, [redacted]

Review: Opened PNC bank account in July 2013. Used advertised coupon of $200 FREE with 2 ACH deposits of 1K each. PNC won't honor incentive. I began looking for a new place to bank in July 2013. After online research and colleague recommendation, I chose PNC bank. They had a promotional coupon to boot! Open a "virtual wallet" account and have 2 payroll deposits of 1K each to be eligible for $200 free. I met the requirements within 30 days. I asked my branch manager when I would receive the promotional monies and was told that it took 60 days. I waited 60 days, 120 days and now over 180 days. Every time I have called customer service to check on it, I have been reassured that it would be credited soon. It never was. I began pursuing this issue harder in December of 2013, as I had a $20K CD and a $50K roll-over at another bank and wanted to transfer everything to my new bank, PNC. I decided to not fully use the bank until they honored their promotion, therefore, I have only had one paycheck direct deposited to this account. On January 3, 2014, I contacted customer service via email (written) within my online banking account. They have apologized 3 times and have sent multiple messages stating that they are looking into it. They even asked me to find the promotional coupon and email it to them, which I did. With still no resolve, I wrote one last time on 1/30/14 and advised that I would file a complaint if they did not honor their promotional advertisement. They stopped responding. Account number is 3803064968. I'm sure if I had already moved my investments to this bank, the credit would have posted. This is EXACTLY why I haven't moved my main accounts, I wanted to see if this bank would make good on their promise and they have not. I work for a law firm and come into contact with a lot of people each day, if there is no resolution to this issue, I plan to become very social/vocal about my experience with PNC.Desired Settlement: The $200 in FREE money that was promised to me if I met the requirements of the promotion, which I did.

Review: I have a checking account with PNC Bank. I have had so many problems with the bank, overdraft problems which initially stemmed from myself. When you overdraw your account and it is in the negative, the bank charges you and initial $36.00 and then $7.00 a day for every day it is in the negative. They cannot charge you any more than 13 days. I had to pay the overdraft fees and the such which I own up to because it was my own doing. I finally got my account to a zero (o) balance and I was told all along that my account was closed the entire time I was paying back the monies owed. I was glad because my dealing with PNC were all negative. The only automatic withdrawl I had set up through PNC was my homeowners insurance with [redacted]. My husband called [redacted] and gave them our new ATM Card number with [redacted], and told them that we no longer bank with PNC, so going forward we will use the new bank. Well [redacted] ran the card associated with PNC Bank, and thus creating a new overdraft of $73.75 I immediately called them and told them that they were given the new bank information and to please reversethat payment. I was told that they can not do that; therefore the overdraft charges and the $36.00 charge started all over again. Even though I was told that my account was closed they still had the account open allowing an automatic withdrawl to process. I was told that even though the account was closed, if any automatic withdrawls come through they will process it anyway if it is within the 1st 30 days of the account being closed. My account is now in the negative $217.00 and I refuse to pay this.Desired Settlement: I am willing to pay the $73.75, but I will NOT pay any of the overdraft charges or the $10.00 account maintenance fee that they recently charged my account.

Review: PNC Mortgage has failed to pay my homeowner's insurance via escrow funds for 3 months. They keep sending bulk checks to [redacted] even though [redacted] can't accept bulk checks. As a consequence, my homeowner's policy was cancelled and PNC has automatically switched my insurance to another provider with astronomical premiums ($1,912.00 vs $331.00). I have contacted PNC numerous times during work hours and they can't seem to resolve the issue.I am fed up and want them to take care of it immediately.Desired Settlement: Contact [redacted], reinstate my homeowner's insurance and refund escrow funds spent on [redacted] Group's premium. Some kind of discount on my mortgage would be nice as well, since this has been such a hassle.

Business

Response:

PNC Mortgage is in receipt of your correspondence dated June 1, 2013 sent to the Revdex.com (Revdex.com) regarding the referenced loan. Thank you for your patience while we researched this matter.

in your correspondence, you state that PNC Mortgage failed to pay your homeowner’s insurance premium for three months and that we were sending bulk checks that are not accepted by your insurance company. You further stated that because of non-payment your homeowner’s policy was cancelled and we then purchased insurance that was substantially higher amount. You also state that you contacted us several times to resolve this issue to no avail.

Your desired resolution is that we contact your insurance company to reinstate your homeowner’s policy and reimburse you for the insurance that was purchased for you. You also requested that we offer a discount for the inconveniences you experienced.

A review of our records indicates that subsequent to our receipt of this inquiry, this issue has been resolved.

On February 28, 2013, we disbursed $331 to [redacted] Insurance for your premium. On April 3, 2013, we received a refund of $331 because of an incorrect mailing address. That same day, we disbursed $331 to [redacted] Insurance Company to the correct mailing address.

On April 11, 2013, we received a non-renewal notice from [redacted] Insurance, effective March 29, 2013.

On April 12, 2013, a letter (copy enclosed) was mailed advising you that we had no record of a renewal insurance policy from your insurance company and that the policy was due to expire on March 29, 2013. The letter provided information regarding where to send evidence of your insurance policy. As explained in the letter, without proof of sufficient coverage, it would be necessary for PNC Mortgage to secure replacement coverage on your behalf and this policy may be more costly than if you obtained a policy on your own. This is in accordance with the terms of your Deed of Trust.

On May 13, 2013, a letter (copy enclosed) was mailed advising that we did not hear from you and that we secured a 45-day temporary insurance coverage through [redacted] Insurance Company. The letter also informed you to contact your insurance company or agent to obtain adequate homeowner’s insurance coverage on the property.

On May 31, 2013, we disbursed $1912 for the lender-placed insurance policy for the period of March 29, 2013 to March 29, 2014.

On June 5, 2013, a letter (copy enclosed) was mailed advising that we contacted your insurance company and they informed us that your policy #[redacted] was paid and is active. We cancelled the lender placed insurance and the refund would be deposited to your escrow account within five to seven days from the date of the letter. Our records reflect that on June 10, 2013, we received the refund of $1912 and repaid $804.52 for the escrow advance. The amount of $1107.48 remains in your escrow account.

Please note that it is the borrower’s responsibility to provide PNC Mortgage with a copy of the homeowner’s insurance policy annually.

We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you and hope that this letter adds clarity to the situation.

Should you have any further questions or concerns regarding this matter, please call our Customer Service Help Desk at [redacted].

Sincerely,

Mortgage Escalations Group

Horrible customer service. Pnc bank froze my card on a Friday on Memorial Day weekend, for no reason. I tried resolving the issue at the local bank but no resolve. They also make it impossible

To get a customer service rep on the phone. I am horrified by their blatent disrespect for customers.

Review: I have signed up for alerts from PNC bank to know when my account goes below 100. I just received an email today stating they were having problems with their automated system. Yesterday I thought there was enough money in the account as I had not received a notification otherwise from the days prior. When I was able to log on to my account profile I saw the account was overdrawn and we had been charged a total of 288 in overdraft charges. I would have known the account was overdrawn and rectified it if I had been receiving my alerts that I signed up for. Also the order they posted the transactions in order of higher to lowest allowed for us to be charged more overdraft fees than we should have. If they wouldn't have done this we would have only been charged 1 overdraft fee on the 21st rather than 4. Also we had fraudulent charges on our account that went through that would have allowed more money in the account and less overdraft fees as well.Desired Settlement: With Pnc's error in sending email alerts when my balance follows below 100 I would have known that the account was overdrawn and rectified it. This is Pnc negligence and in so should rectify my account to refund all 8 overdraft fees. Also with the processing of the transactions that posted to my account it allowed for more fees to be charged. This is deceptive, unfair and there has already been a suit against PNC for overcharging customers for overdrafts.

Review: PNC Mortgage quit sending out payment coupons for my mortgage payment. They never notified me of this change in policy. So now I send in my check in a hand written envelop but they are not processing it until AFTER the due date. This is the second month in a row it's happened. I've mailed my check 8-10 day in advance and they still don't process it until after the due date. This is from [redacted] to [redacted]. And I believe the reason for the delay is because I have to use my own hand written envelop.Doesn't it make sense in any type of re-occurring billing, that unless you elect otherwise, they send you a monthly billing with remittance coupon. Every type of service or loan does this. I can even accept that they don't do this but I won't accept them delaying processing my payment so I incur a late fee.Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Refund

I want my second late fee waived because they are not processing a hand written envelopment, with my payment enclosed, in a timely manner.

Business

Response:

PNC Mortgage is in receipt of your December 17, 2014 inquiry sent to the Revdex.com regarding the referenced loan. Your inquiry was escalated to the Enterprise Escalation Group on December 19, 2014. Our records indicate that this account has been discharged in bankruptcy. PNC Mortgage is not attempting to collect against you personally but is simply responding to your request. In your correspondence you express frustration because you are no longer sent coupon books and are accruing late fees as your payments are not being processed in a timely manner. You state that you send your payments in at least eight to ten days in advance; therefore you should not be charged late fees. Regarding your statement about no longer receiving payment coupon book, as of January 2014, PNC Mortgage is unable to send coupon books to borrowers with discharged Chapter 7 bankruptcies where the debt has not been reaffirmed, as this could be seen as an attempt to collect a debt. PNC Mortgage posts payments to your account as they are received; therefore, we are not responsible for the length of time it takes to for the delivery of the funds. Please mail payments at least 10 business day prior to the due date to ensure no further late fees are incurred. You may also make payments at your local PNC Bank branch. Please note that because our bank branches and our mortgage servicing offices operate on two separate systems, mortgage payments made at a PNC Bank location may take two business days to post to your loan. However, these payments are posted with the effective date of the bank transaction. It should also be noted, that payments made later in the afternoon at a bank branch, may not post until the following business day. Please talk to a branch representative should you have questions regarding this matter. As a courtesy, we waived the January late fee of $55.80. We hope that we have sufficiently addressed your concerns. If you have further questions concerning this matter, please contact us at ###-###-####. Dear Ms. [redacted]PNC responded to the customer's complaint in writing on March 3, 2015. Thank you,[redacted]

Review: I am a college student and I had a large amount of money in PNC Bank for my college education. This was in 2013. June 4, 2014, we filed a complain with PNC Bank. A lot of my money was gone! We, my parents [redacted] and [redacted] and myself made an appt with [redacted], Branch Mngr. We ask for a print out of all the activites on my acct beginning in Sept of 2013. We then went through this list and I told [redacted] I did not take out a lot of this money and told her a lot of the dates I was talking about. I have a PNC debit card hooked up to [redacted]. I attended college at [redacted] in [redacted]. She explained to myself and my parents that she was going to go through and tag each and every tranaction be investigated. This was from September 2013 to present time June 6, 2014. She explained to us that every time you take money out of and ATM a picture is taken and this would show us who is taking my money. I told her of 2 of my friends that I handed my card to to take out money with my permission and I was standing right beside them because my hands were full so they took some money out for me. Now they are not going to do any thing. But she gave us her word shw as going to investigate.Desired Settlement: I want an investigation. We received a letter dated June 13, 2014 stating that the ATM withdrawals was against my acct and my card was used for these transactions.PNC bank said since I authorized another person to use my card and I have not notified them that this authority has been revoked, they will not reimburse any of my money. The above statement is wrong! I told them on June, 6,14 that I was standing next to my friend and NEVER, NEVER gave my card to anyone ever to use beside these 2 xs

Consumer

Response:

Tell us why here...We were told by [redacted], Branch Mngr of PNC Bank in [redacted] that she will set in motion to have every transaction looked at to see who stold my money. She was going to request this be done starting in Sept of 2013 through of May of 2014. She told us this will be done and will take a while because of all the work involved. She told us this on June 6, 2014. On June 6, 2014. I cancelled my bank card so no more transactions could be made. I told [redacted] at this time That on 2 occasions my hands were full so I handed my friend my debit card for them to take out some money at an ATM. I was standing right beside him and never, never did I give my debit card to anyone and told them to take some money out with out me being there. I was standing beside the person 2 different times. I explained in detail to Ms [redacted] that I never, never gave my card to anyone to take out money without me being there. On June 13, 2014 a letter was send to me stating that my PNC banking card and personal PIN number was used in the transactions in question and that I did not notify PNC bank that since I authorized another person to use my card I did not tell them that I revoked this privledge. So because of this they are denying reimbursement. I told Ms [redacted] again and again that I did not authorize another person to use my card other than those 2 times I was with them and was very clear to my friend he was never to use my card again. I explained this again and again to Ms [redacted]. I did tell PNC bank that I revoked my friend using my card. My dad [redacted], called PNC Bank when we received the letter dated June 13 and filed a complaint stating that [redacted] revoked his friend from using his card and stated this on many occassions. We are still at a standstill. PNC Bank will not listen and my dad received another letter dated July 21, 2014 staing the same exact thing as above. They are denying reimbursement because [redacted] did not notify PNC Bank that he revoked his authority for his friend. We told them on the initial meeting and my dad also told them when he called to issue a formal complaint but PNC Bank keeps saying I did not tell them that I revoked to my friend and I did repeatedly..but they will not listen. PNC Bank gave my dad a very hard time and would not listen to anything he said. Both my parent's name is on my account. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. The money stoled is around $30,000. Thank you for any help. [redacted]

Review: For the 2 months I have experienced overdraft cost due to the system behind the scenes performing one task but presenting it as a pending transaction not posted.
