Hello [redacted],We hope all is well.  This charge was refunded on 8/**/17.  We were not able to proceed with this order because the requested information was not provided to us.This matter was closed over a month ago.Thank you.

Searched internet for a Roho Cushion cover for my aging frail mother that she could afford. Selected Power Medical Supplies for it combined product price product and shipping. Paid and received the product 4 days later. A week after I received the product the charge my credit card without my authorization for additional shipping charges. It is a scam. Company taking advantage of the consumer. Do not use this merchant. Amazon is much better to deal with.

I ordered a replacement pump for my walking boot, I tried to cancel my order hat night, but they emailed me back saying that I couldn't cancel it because it all ready had a tracking number. Then I asked for a rma number so I could send it back, I sent it back the next day. I sent it on October [redacted], it was shipped to the address that they told me to ship it to. I emailed them back and gave them the tracking number. They told me that they would let me know when they received it. I waited for about a week and never heard from them. I tracked the package and for some reason it was undeliverable. So I emailed them again and they said that they don't know why it was undeliverable that I must of done some thing wrong when I shipped it back. I just emailed them again yesterday [redacted] and told them off. I got a email from them today and they were very rude, they said that they are blocking any more emails from me and even threatened me that if I reported hem that they would take me to court. Absolutely he worst medical company of deal with.

Great customer service. They helped me find the patient lift and they gave me 5% off since they had a promotion. The lift arrived in two days. I would definitely use this company again. A+

Hello, This customer has actually already been issued a full refund.  This was based on the fact that she had requested to receive the item by 12/**/16 and it did not get there in time.  We are very sorry about that and for any inconveniences this may have caused.  We do our best to...

meet the time restraints of customers but being that it is busy season, the warehouse couldn’t get it out in time and we take full responsibility for that.  Once that was brought to our attention, this was immediately refunded.  We also issued a discount on any order for the remainder of the year. The customer said, "I was told that they could expedite, but that they could not tell me right away how much the expedited shipping would be. I requested that they contact me before charging me for the expedited shipping, as they refused to provide the price of shipping over the phone."  This is false.  Anytime we have an expedited shipping request, we cannot provide the shipment cost because when we ask the warehouse for a quote, they can take a few days to get back to us with the price which destroys the purpose of expediting the shipment.  If someone is in a rush to receive an order, we let all customers know we just bill at the time of shipment.  We do this to help our customers get something they need quickly and do not have to offer this at all.  We sent her a notice of the cost of the shipping and the tracking number as promised.  The customer did confirm they wanted [redacted] Next Day Air and that they need it by the [redacted] so we sent a notice of that and immediately processed the order. The customer then said. "On Dec. **, 2016 at apx. 6:31 pm, after Power Medical was closed for the day, they sent me an email informing me that they had charged my card $76.86 for overnight shipping. The item I ordered is the size of a shoe box and weighs less than 2 pounds. I saw this email at apx. 7:10 pm. I immediately called Power Medical, no answer. I then email Power Medical, no reply. Because it was after hours I contacted [redacted] directly. I was told that the package had not yet arrived at the [redacted] facility. I requested the shipping be cancelled, and that any package [redacted] received should be immediately returned to sender."  According to our policy, we cannot cancel an order once there is a tracking number.  If the customer would like to return the item after there is a tracking number, they must fill out an RMA form, receive an RMA number, and send it back to the appropriate return warehouse at their expense.  The customer decided to just do whatever they wanted because they were unhappy with the shipping cost of [redacted] Next Day Air (something we have absolutely no control over and which is generally an expensive shipping service if you are mailing anything besides letters).  We cannot be held responsible for buyer remorse.  Just returning something to sender is considered an unauthorized return and will incur higher restocking fees and will incur return shipping fees.  Please bear in mind again that the customer did request the fastest shipping and then decided it was too expensive so immediately wanted to cancel an order when we cannot cancel an order after there is a tracking number.  They also contacted us outside of business hours. Customer also said, “I informed them that they had not incurred any shipping fees and therefore had no basis for charging me for the shipping.”  This is false.  How would the customer know this?  Postage is paid for at time of shipment. Customer also said, “Simone also told me that the actual next day air cost is $30, not the $77 the seller charged me.”  This is false.  You can verify the charge is correct based off the [redacted] website and entering in the weight, dimensions, shipping service, and all address information. As stated in the beginning, the customer was issued a full refund.  The item must be returned though.  We also offered the customer a discount on any order for the remainder of the year.

Power Medical Supplies is a great company with great prices. I would highly recommend this company to others. They have very low prices. I shop a lot on Amazon and pretty much everything they have, they have at lower prices than even on Amazon. Even after the shipping costs, the prices are still lower. I work at a hospital and we get at least half our medical supplies from this company. They are very friendly and helpful and we never had any problems.

Just like all the other posts – I ordered a product from Power Medical Supplies, a month later having not received the product I called to inquire as to its whereabouts. After several emails and phone calls I finally received a response stating it was back ordered. The following day I cancelled the order and received a confirmation email stating that order was in fact cancelled, that my credit card was refunded and they even included a 10% coupon for future orders... Two months later, the product was unexpectedly dropped off at my front door and my credit card was charged! Then this less than repulsive individual hiding behind [email protected] tried to jam me with a restock fee, shipping charges etc. When I disputed this unauthorized charge on my credit card they became belligerent and had the nerve to accuse me of larceny, fraud, stealing, threated with legal action, collection companies etc.

It seems that Power Medical Supplies is a one man show with Samuel Jacobs at the helm.

He went on to rant..

“ if we do not have the payment tomorrow at the latest, it will be considered late and we will report the late payment/delinquency to all the major crediting boroughs and will continue to do so until it is paid. This is going to affect your credit if it is not paid. Also, this is fraud and larceny which is illegal and we will press charges and pursue this to the fullest extent of the law. We will file a police report. This will not just go away. We have contacted all major Medical Supply companies we partner with as well and put you on a delinquent list and you will not be able to make any Medical Supply orders through us or them until it is paid. Also, interest will start to collect at 2% but if that is usurious, the maximum allowed by law will be charged. You will also be responsible for reasonable attorneys fees, court fees, and any other fees associated in collecting the amount owed. Please note if this will go to New York State court if not paid. You will only owe more money the longer you wait to pay.”

I highly recommend you stay away from this company..

I just had the same thing happen. Ordered a transport chair in March. Power Medical charged my VISA immediately. Mid-May still no sign of product. After several e-mails starting in April inquiring on the chair and only one response not providing any update at all, I filed a dispute with my VISA provider afterwhich I received a very threatening e-mail from Power Medical about a cancellation fee even though my order had not been processed. I do not take kindly to threats however I gave them one more opportunity to get me the product I ordered and I would lift the dispute. I have heard nothing. No surprise quite honestly. I do not recommend this company.

On Dec. 12, 2016 at apx. 4:45 pm I called Power Medical to request two cast shoes. I was told that they could expedite, but that they could not tell me right away how much the expedited shipping would be. I requested that they contact me before charging me for the expedited shipping, as they refused to provide the price of shipping over the phone. On Dec. 13, 2016 at apx. Because it was after hours I contacted UPS directly. I was told that the package had not yet arrived at the UPS facility. I requested the shipping be cancelled, and that any package UPS received should be immediately returned to sender. After that conversation I emailed Power Medical again to inform them I had contacted UPS and that UPS would not ship anything to me. This was all done by 8:15 pm, less than 2 hours after Power Medical sent me the charge for shipping. On December 14, 2016 Power Medical emailed me indicating that they would still charge me for the items I ordered and for the shipping, and that because they had a tracking number I would have to receive the items and then follow their procedure for a refund. I informed them that they had not incurred any shipping fees and therefore had no basis for charging me for the shipping. I also informed them that I would happily pay a reasonable restocking fee, but expected a full refund of the charges for both the items and the shipping. I just checked UPS and see that the item has not shipped and is clearly in a "return to sender" status. I also just filed a complaint with my credit card company and am disputing the charges. I would appreciate it very much if Revdex.com would do something about this company, as I see that others have lodged similar complaints with Revdex.com, and yet this company continues to do the same thing to people.

I filed the above with Revdex.com. I also exchanged several emails with the owner of the company who called me unethical and a fraud and refused to refund my money. I did not receive the items and did everything I could to prevent the company from incurring any shipping charges. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this company.

I ordered a replacement pump for my walking boot, I tried to cancel my order that night and I was told that I couldn't because it had a tracking number all ready. He told me that I would have to send it back with a rma number, so when I got it back I sent it the next day with the tracking number to 21 wes warren st, Middletown NY. He told me that he would let me know when he got the package. I sent it on October 11th. So I emailed him again and asked him if he go it and he said no. I went on the usps website to track it and it said that it was undeliverable. So I emailed him telling him that. He told me that I must of put the wrong address on the package. I told him that I didn't. So I told him to find the package and give me my money back or I would report him to the Revdex.com. I got a email back from him telling me that if I reported him that he would sue me. Well I'm not stupid to fall for that trick. So I reported him to the Revdex.com. I got a email back from him saying that his lawyer would be contacting me. So I Googled his company and I found out that the address that he told me to send it back to isn't even his address to his company. It's not even in the same town. I was wondering if maybe none else had that problem? I messaged the company with that address to ask if they were the same company because they are a medical supply company also, they said that they are not. I would never order from this company even if the stuff was free. This guy is a as hole.

Review: I used the search bar to find a book that I need to bill the new ICD-10 codes with the new requirement being Oct [redacted], 2015. I searched using the terms, "ICD-10 ChiroCode" and purchased the first book that the website recommended. When it arrived, the plastic was already torn from being jostled during shipping, and when I opened the first page, the table of contents didn't list any ICD-10 codes, so instead there was another book that was recommended by another chiropractor, which they carry, Power Medical Supplies is refusing to exchange the book based on the fact that it was opened, which happened during shipping. This book is only $129 dollars and I would like to resolve this at the lowest level, Samuel J[redacted] has stated repeatedly in his emails that he cannot send me a RMA shipping label because it was opened, that was their policy. I would like the book exchanged because of false advertising, opened during shipping, and it was the wrong book. I only turned the first page. It is in brand new condition, as sent....Desired Settlement: I would like to sent this book back, 2015 ChiroCode Deskbook and be sent another book, ICD-10 coding for Chiropractors...the book that does have the ICD-10 codes that I need. This is a major reference book and the previous edition is almost completely obsolete minus the CPT codes...

Response:

At this time, I have not been contacted by Power Medical Supplies regarding complaint ID [redacted].The companies website search engine recommended an ICD-10 book, but they sent me an ICD-9 book. I wouldn't have known until the packaging was removed, however once packaging is removed. (Plastic shrink wrap) they refuse to refund monies. This was a book that cost over $100 and it is virtually useless to me. The customer service can only be reached by email, who runs a company where you cannot talk to anyone? The customer service rep was rude and curt, sensing my frustration with the process, proceeded to be even more rude. They have so many products on their site, I was elated to find a large Manual Therapy business. I refuse to do business with them ever again. They potentially could have made thousands of dollars from me had they handled this refund correctly. They kept quoting business does Not allow us to take back books that have been opened. I opened it, not used it. How can a business refuse to take back an incorrect item, and actually, all I was asking for was the ICD-10 book for chiropractors, which they carry....so a swap would have sufficed. They would have still made money, I even would have paid for the additional shipping, but they just flat refused to own up that their website search engine picked the wrong book for me. They ended up being a huge source of tension and stress that I didn't need. I ended up throwing away the $129 bucks by purchasing from power medical. I will say good-bye and good riddance. Why do business with such a rigid company? Rules are guidance in a business, we all need to learn how to deal with refunds. It isn't a perfect world.Sincerely,

Review: I ordered a hoyer lift [redacted] is order number, I have not received nor are they answering phone calls when I call them. They have charged my credit card. Please help. Thank you.Desired Settlement: Want my patient lift delivered as promised.

I have placed one order with Power Medical Supplies and will never place another. The shipping policy outlined on the website is vague at best considering their standard shipping practices.
I placed an order containing three items. The standard shipping was $9.99. The first item which was a 2 o.z. tube was mailed completely separate than my additional two items. Immediately after receiving the package I was charged an additional $14 for shipping. Placing the total shipping costs of mailing three small light weight items to a total of $24.
Apparently, there is no commitment to ensure that your full order is placed into one package. Rather they can mail all pieces of your order separately and charge shipping for each individually, as there commitment to place all items into one package on their website.
Completely unethical business practices, and clearly the company is compensating for lower costs of products by charging excessive shipping fees that you are unable to dispute.
Very unsatisfied customer!!!

Review: I placed an order for a medical cart on 11/**/2015 and my credit card was charged the full amount. Two and a 1/2 weeks later, I realized that I never received my item, never received a confirmation email of the transaction, and did not receive shipping confirmation. However, my credit card had been charged, as noted. In any event, I attempted to call the 800 number, but there was a message indicating that they do not accept calls and to email them. Consequently, I emailed and asked for a return phone call, never received one and thereafter initiated a dispute with [redacted] for the charges. Meanwhile, "Samuel Jacobs", whom I believe is the only person, single-owner/operator of this "company", replied to my email saying that my item had shipped and that I should have received a tracking number. However, the order was not shipped and he was in fact just initiating a [redacted] pick-up request, which was dated 12/**/2015, the date of my phone calls and emails - he lied. As several hours elapsed before he even forwarded any tracking/shipping information, I called [redacted] and initiated the dispute. I also emailed him to tell him to cancel the order (since he did not fulfill it anyway). From that point, he became belligerent and on 3 separate emails, threatened to come to my home if "this further escalates", "I guess we will see you soon" and finally, "please be prepared to return the item and expect a visit if we hear from [redacted]".

In essence, I placed an order on 11/**/2015, my credit card was charged, and any attempt to fulfill the order only came after I attempted to contact the company via email only, because he does not answer his phone. After I did hear back from him (email), I told him twice in the emails to cancel my order, but instead he doubled down, and essentially forced me to accept the order, knowing full-well that I would not accept the delivery. His intention was to charge me a 25% restocking fee for something I clearly canceled! Moreover, who would want to do business with such an individual who threatens his customers into accepting orders they no longer want? He is despicable. I have all email correspondences that clearly show the timeline of events and his obvious deception.Desired Settlement: I already initiated the dispute with [redacted], however their investigation is not complete. I was advised and agreed, although inconvenient, to cancel my [redacted] account as to prevent him from attempting to charge my account. I am concerned with the outright threats that he will come to my home or office or someone from his office will do so, although I am convinced that he is a one man operation presenting himself as something much more via the website. I want assurance that he will not attempt to charge me for restocking when I clearly indicated to him that since he did not fulfill the order when I placed it on 11/**/2015, but he shipped it nonetheless in order to collect the restocking fee.

Review: I ordered a Far Infrared Heat Therapy pad Nov. **, 2015 for $137.27 with my [redacted] card, online. I was contacted to tell me that the product was not in stock but should be sometime soon. I have tried to respond to their email at [redacted] as to why my order has not been filled. The mail was returned as not valid. I called their number that gave me the information about the stock not in. It was not accepted. I am hoping that I could get my money back.Desired Settlement: If the company cannot send me what I paid for, please refund my money to [redacted].

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

Sincerely,

Review: First: they advertise "free shipping" then you find out after shopping and checking out, "free with $100 order" then there is a $9.99 shipping charge, which depending on what you order could be fair....but, I ordered 8 ounces of product, what charged the $9.99 - and then I saw a 2nd charge on my card for an additional $6.17. When I contacted the company, they said it cost $16.16 to send it first class, usps mail. I ship things almost on a daily basis, and this is not the correct rate for the size and weight of product. I just think people need to be aware of how HE does business out of HIS home.Desired Settlement: He needs to refund the shipping cost, quit advertising "free shipping" unless he show "full disclosure" as to the minimum order requirements. Buyer beware!!!!

Review: June **, 2015

Details regarding the ordering and the attempted return of Product: [redacted] Garment Half-Leg Single ordered from Power Medical Supplies (further referred to as PMS) on May **, 2015.

On May **, 2015 with the help of a medical professional, my mother’s physical therapist, ( [redacted]) I ordered for my mother two [redacted] garments for her legs, online from PMS. As I do not have technology such as a computer or the internet my mother’s physical therapist was kind enough to use her computer to order this product. The product was shipped June *, 2015 and we received the product [redacted] on June *, 2015.

Upon opening the box the product came in, there were two [redacted] garments in separate zip lock bags, but no pump. In all the ads online with this company there was a pump in each ad so I assumed that the pump came with the products. Realizing there was no pump in the box, I did not even open the zip lock garment bags, I just put the bags back in the original shipping box, closed the box for return as the product was of no use to me without the pump.

On June *, 2015, I called the customer service number (###-###-####), provided on the website, 3 times and each time I received the following message … “we are currently unable to assist you at this time. Please refer to our website and leave us a message”. As mentioned above, I do not have a computer. On June *, 2015, I called the customer service number again and on first call a gentleman answered, (did not get a name, darn it) and I explained to him I needed to return the product and asked him to send me a return shipping label. He asked me what my email address was and I explained to him I did not have technology. He said there was nothing he could do for me. I explained to him that I could not believe that he was unable to print out a return label and put it in an envelope and mail it to me. Again he said with no email address, there was nothing he could do for me. I said that I have $300.00 worth of merchandise on my kitchen table I needed to return and could not believe that there nothing he could do for me. So I asked that if he could not help me then please transfer me to a supervisor who would be able/willing to help me. He said he was a supervisor and the call mysteriously disconnected. I tried calling again and again and again and received no answer, only the above message. So, I called my mother’s physical therapist and asked her if she would create an email address for me under my mom’s name and send a message to the PMS website email address asking for a return shipping label. [redacted] offered to try calling the customer service number first to see if she could get a positive response. A gentleman answered, as my previous calls were, however, as soon as she mentioned the word “return” HER call mysteriously disconnected. She tried calling back and she also received the above message. She became frustrated. So, she created an email address under my mother’s name and emailed the company requesting a return shipping label. The email responses she received are enclosed. I told [redacted] (the therapist) that I would try calling again the following day thinking I might be lucky enough to get a more helpful person to talk to.

On June **, 2015, I called the customer service number twice in the AM, (times of calls are recorded) and received the above message. [redacted] said that it sounded like this company had either blocked or is screening my telephone number so as not to answer when I call. [redacted] offered to call again for me to see if she could get an answer. She did, however, again, when she mentioned “return” her call again, disconnected. [redacted] sent an email to the PMS website address trying to explain to customer service that I did not have technology and that she was managing an email address off her computer, under my mother’s name.

I went to the library and reviewed their website and their return policy. I submitted to them a required RMA form twice, for a return shipping label. Also the website reads that shipping is free. Reviewing the emails from [redacted], the company went in and charged my mother an additional $4.83 as they are now stating in an email they only cover $9.99 for orders over $100.00. This is not free shipping. I also reviewed there company with the Revdex.com and found that though they are not accredited with the Revdex.com, which they do not have to be, this company does have complaints filed against it and they are all regarding returns. When I returned home, I tried calling the customer service number two more times (times recorded) and received the above message.

This company has a time limit of 30 days to return products. My thought is that “returns” do not put them in a happy place therefore they try to stall you for as long as they can so you either give up or time lapses past the 30 days and they can refuse your return.

In addition, this company markets to a very sensitive and vulnerable population . It is truly sad that this company feels that this type of customer service behavior is acceptable.

I am asking that the Power Medical Supply Company send me a return, prepaid, shipping label so I can return this product that has not been removed from the original zip lock packaging, that the handling fee waived, the money be credited back to my mother’s credit card including the additional $4.83 and that an investigation be launched into this company, as the above behavior seems very suspicious and unacceptable.

Enclosed are email conversations, PMS shipping label with some documentation and the hope that you are able to help me get this issue resolved.
