Wonderful team of people. From sale to installation everything went smoothly.

Wonderful team of people. From sale to installation everything went smoothly.

We signed up for the Powerhome Solar product in August 2017, the Installation did not start until December of 2017 and was not completed for power up until February 2018! It is now August 2nd 2018, almost a year from signing up for the system & Powerhome Solar are finally out today to fill the trench that has been open and a hazard on my property for the past 8 months! On the agenda today is to get the Gateway Monitoring system to work!! We have never had this setup or been able to monitor anything regarding our system via the app. Grounding rod location needs to be relocated. So these are the minor issues with Powerhome Solar. The whole installation process was a debacle and took months to complete! The Installers were not trained and up until February were unlicensed electricians. The Nest thermostat did not work with our Geothermal system and they damage our original thermostat leading to the replacement and $250 check from PHS. No blown in insulation was installed! The conduit & method of connecting the 2 banks of panels on our roof is ugly and an eyesore. We never received a $3500 cash back check promised to us but the sales man, *** for the insulation and other home improvement not carried out, a value of $5000!

Our major concern and reason for this complaint is the Inverter is under sized and doesn't support the size of the system we purchased! We purchased a 9.0 KW system, 31 Solar panels and the Inverter is an 8 KW unit with a maximum output of 8350 Watts (8.3 KW) but is hard limited to 7600 Watts (7.6 KW). So net end result is we are producing more power than the inverter was designed to and we are not getting the maximum power usage or credit from DTE Energy.

Good afternoon,

We appreciate everyone's attention to this matter as we are currently working with the customer to resolve this compliant. We have a larger inverter on order and even though the EEP package cost us $1200 and given away for free at no additional charge to the customer we will grant any alleged promise made by the sales rep.

Kind regards

Great customer service. Took awhile for permitting but the company paid my monthly bill until the system was installed.

They were very knowledgeable and helpful during the entire project- from the sales to the design and installation. I definitely recommend for a solar system!
