Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: While Prestige did reach out to me there was no "talking" about this situation. The lady whom sent the response called and stated they were not going to change my credit reports, they were not going to change the charge off which they should since they agreed to a new payment plan, and they would not accept my settlement offer and that I would need to pay the $9600.00 in order to settle and that while my account may be charged off I will still receive reoccurring interest on the charged off account. They do not and did not listen to my concerns. She over talked me every chance she got and was not willing to try to rectify the situation in any way shape or form. It has been this way since day one. As far as the late payments I am sure I had more than enough as I was in over head with this purchase. Yes this is my fault not Prestige's. Even with that being said they are able to take advantage of people and that is unfair. I tried to explain to her that they should have put the account as a voluntary repossession and that I was making payments not a charge off. She told me no it was a charge off and that they were not going to change it and that they do not have the means either as it is against the law? I tried to explain my concern that they are not reporting that I am even making payments and have been for over two years. She stated they do not have to as it is a charged off account. As for the payment agreement it was made months prior to them even putting it on my credit as a repossession and on two of credit reports along with my husbands two years later. I tried to explain to her my income and her response is yeah we know and that is why we accepted the payments we are in the first place. Okay great... that should tell you I am doing my best to get rid of this account and fully be done with it. They are taking my money and have been for the last two plus years and yet they do not have to report? They can report as a charge off and add interest but not that I am making payments to them? I have been lied to from day one from this company but regardless how many times I have pointed it out nothing ever changes. I was not 160 days past due on this account when I voluntarily sent it back. I even had to call them on several occasions to make sure someone was coming to pick it up. We were contacted right after filing bankruptcy to purchase a vehicle and Prestige was 100% financing us. Our bankruptcy was not even completed with the courts at this time as it was not discharged through the courts til February 18th of 2013. They pray on those who do not have good credit or are in the middle of filing bankruptcy. I think this is very sad. I have been paying for this mistake for over three years with no one willing to budge an inch on their side. How much more can they take from me and be allowed to do it? I am not sure where to go from here but this is beyond frustrating. I truly hope that someone will listen and at some point start doing what is right by us the consumers.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

In response to this rejection, I believe we have addressed all of Ms. [redacted]’s concerns and all reporting is accurate. The Prestige trade-lines for each of the 3 credit bureaus have been reviewed by myself and the Assistant Vice President of our credit reporting department. We are unable to locate any trade-line which reflects the loan as being refinanced or renewed. I also confirmed that the information being sent to the credit bureaus is accurate.   If Ms. [redacted] has any other questions or concerns I would encourage her to reach out to me directly. Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: They keep saying I was suppose to follow up with them which is a false statement.  I told my account manager I didn't need time to think or follow up. I informed I wanted to do the extension then.

In response to this complaint, I have discussed the account with senior management, along with reviewing the account notes, and payment history. Having analyzed the matter, I believe we have followed all applicable laws. Based on my review, we received the customer’s final payment of $600.00 on...

March 15th, 2017. After this payment was received the balance of $81.93 was remaining. We are currently waiting for the service plan refund to arrive which we anticipate will resolve the remaining balance. We then will report the account as paid in full rather than settled. We value Mr. [redacted] as a customer and would like him to have a positive experience. We apologize for any inconvenience that may have been caused by the delay of the service contract refund, but will have the account closed as soon as possible after the refund check is received. If this does not meet Mr. [redacted]’s desired resolution, or he has any other questions or concerns he is welcome to reach out to me directly. Kathryn D[redacted] Compliance Specialist for Prestige – 801-844-2577 or kd[redacted]@gopfs.com.

In response to this complaint, I have spoken to our credit reporting team lead, and reviewed the credit inquiry. Kia Optima. In conjunction with the request, the consumers credit was pulled.      If Ms. Covington has any additional questions or concerns, I would encourage her to reach out to me directly. Kathryn D[redacted] Compliance Specialist for Prestige – 801-844-2577 or kd[redacted]@gopfs.com.

In response to this complaint, I have reviewed the account, payment history, phone calls, and insurance claim documents. Having analyzed the matter, I believe we have followed all applicable laws and the balance owed is correct.   Based on my review, Mrs. [redacted] made a total of 15 out of the...

72 payments agreed to on this account prior to the total loss of the vehicle. Out of the 15 payments made only 2 of those payments were made on or before the specified due date causing several late fees to be added to the balance as outlined in the contract. The customer also made 2 partial payments and deferred another 2 payments to the end of the loan. The balance on the account was provided to Ms. [redacted]’s insurance and they made a determination on how much they would pay. Often times insurance companies will not pay deductible amounts or amounts caused by the consumers payment history. This leaves the balance which is still owing.     I also reviewed the credit report and the charge off status being submitted is correct.  After September 27th, 2016 payment there were no additional payments on the deficiency balance received from the customer until April 27th, 2017. This caused the balance to charge off.   If Mrs. [redacted] has any other questions or concerns, I would encourage her to reach out to me directly. Kathryn D[redacted], Compliance Specialist for Prestige Financial – 801-844-2577 or kd[redacted]@gopfs.com.

In response to this complaint, I have reviewed the payment history, notes, and the information being submitted to the credit reporting agencies. Having analyzed the matter, I believe we have followed all applicable laws and contract stipulations.  Based on my review, the account balance is...

correct. On November 2, 2012 Ms. [redacted] entered into a 72 month contract to purchase a vehicle. To date, only 47 of the payments have been made. Additionally, the account has a number of issues that have impacted the current balance. First, only 1 of the 47 payments has been made on or before the specified due date. Ms. [redacted]’ payments have been a total of 925 days late, averaging a little more than 17 days late per payment. Second, 32 of the 47 payments made were less than the contracted installment amount. Third, Ms. [redacted] requested and received a total of 150 extension days allowing her to defer a number of her payments till the end of the contract. Additionally, the account is currently 62 days past due. All of these factors have contributed to the current balance on the account.  In consideration of the credit reporting concern, I have reviewed Ms. [redacted]’ report with our credit reporting team lead. The report shows the customer as past due for October 2015, February and March 2016, and May 2017. I verified with the team lead that the report accurately reflect the payments on the account.  Lastly, the documentation requested by the customer was emailed to her today, June 22, 2017. Additionally, I am unable to locate any communication in which she was told we would not provide this paperwork.  If Ms. [redacted] has any other questions or concerns, I would encourage her to reach out to me directly. Kathryn D[redacted], Compliance Specialist for Prestige Financial – 801-844-2577 or kd[redacted]@gopfs.com.

In response to this complaint, I have reviewed the payment history and notes. From my review the balance remaining is correct based on Ms. [redacted]’s payment history and the number of extensions that have been requested and granted. Only 4 of the payments have been made on time with the average...

payment made 22 days late. Additionally, we have worked with the consumer and accepted a number of payments for less than the contracted payment amount . We also assisted Ms. [redacted] by allowing her 6 extensions upon her request. The late payments and the requested accommodations have contributed to the current balance on the account. As she continues to make her payments the balance will continue to go down.   If Ms. [redacted] has any other questions or concerns, I would encourage her to reach out to me directly. Kathryn D[redacted], Compliance Specialist for Prestige Financial – 801-844-2577 or kd[redacted]@gopfs.com.

I am rejecting this response because: Their rates are too high and by the time I pay this loan off I would have paid almost 3 times the amount of the loan. There should be a law against companies like this one. More than likely I will not have this car by the time this loan is paid off.
Sincerely,

In response to consumer complaint, Prestige Financial has reached out to consumer and explained what the steps to register the vehicle....

I am rejecting this response because:
I apologize I missed your email on 2/14. Prestiage sent me the title of the car with no statement at all, nothing advising how much I overpaid, and now I can’t get anyone to call or email me back. My title was in an envelope with a blank piece of paper.  I can no longer log into my account, nor can I obtain account details with my account number through Prestiage automated system. The overpayment I'm sure is no more than a couple hundred dollars. At this point it is the principle of the matter. NO business should be able to refuse to give you a payoff amount, then deny access to your account, and refuse to call or email a person back with their account information. This should be illegal I've overpaid as result of prestige not being willing to give me my pay off amount.. They will not address this matter on the Revdex.com complaint, and they are denying access to my account....
Sincerely,

In response to this complaint, I have reviewed the account notes, payment history, and phone calls. First I wish to express our concern for those who were impacted by hurricane Harvey. We understand the devastation that it brought and are willing to work with individuals who were impacted. In...

reviewing the account, our representatives attempted to contact the customer several times throughout the month of August but did not receive a response until August 31st. Her account was delinquent at the time and she was informed of that fact. In the next conversation with Ms. [redacted], on September 5th, we informed her that options are available for consumers impacted by the hurricane. Although she set up a payment at time and is current on the account, if Ms. [redacted] requires assistance with future payments she is welcome to reach out to her account manager Paul H[redacted] directly.   If Ms. [redacted] has any other questions or concerns I would encourage her to reach out to me directly. I am rejecting this response because:You have failed to explain where the "30,000 additional student loans that Mike s[redacted] said was on the report. All 3 credit reports have been pulled . There are no additional student loans . All of my loans are with nelnet. I will repeat since you cannot comprehend . I have pulled all 3 credit reports , Nelnet has combed through my credit report's,  and Nelnet advised me to contact NLSD the national databank of any all government loans in the United States. There are no additional loans. Since you say there is an additional student loan over 30,000 I need to see what you have because nelnet and the national dept of ed shows all loans I have taken over my lifetime are consolidated and held at Nelnet.  You can't make up bogus reasons to deny someone. I'm sure you deal with simple minded people daily but you have crossed the wrong person to try and pushover. Not backing down sir, an additional 30,000 in student loans on my credit report is pretty serious . So either you just simply lied or you were provided with a credit report with loans that I am mot aware of and you need to disclose my information. I will be filing with the  consumer financial protection bureau as well. Regards,

I am rejecting this response because:
I have not recived the title nor letter, nor refund of 180 dollars.  My credit has not been updated to show paid in full so how has all my concerns been addressed.  Also, I would like someone to look at the numerous emails from the employees of their establishment.
Sincerely,

In response to this complaint, I have reviewed the payment history and notes. Having analyzed the matter, I believe we have followed all applicable laws and contract stipulations. I am unable to corroborate Ms. [redacted]’s claims.   Based on my review the account balance is correct. On October 26,...

2012 Ms. [redacted] entered into a 72 month contract to purchase a vehicle. To date, only 52 of the payments have been made. Additionally, the account has a number of issues that have impacted the current balance. First, only 8 of the 52 payments have been made on time. Ms. [redacted]’s payments have been a total of 408 days late, averaging a little more than 7 days late on each payment. Second, 20 of the 52 payments made were partial amounts less than the contracted installment amount of $519.62. Third, Ms. [redacted] received a 60 day extension on July 29th, 2014 allowing her to skip her July and August 2014 payments and have them added to the end of the loan. These events have led to the accrual of additional interest, as well as several late fees.    Additionally, the vehicle was impounded and repossessed for failing to pay tickets twice, in both June and December of 2014. In both instances the consumer did not have the funds to recover the vehicle and we paid $965.00 and $1,115.00 respectively to get the collateral out of impound. There were also $332.00 in repossession fees. The previously mentioned 60 day deferment provided to the consumer was an attempt to allow her to take care of her tickets. All of these factors have contributed to the current balance on the account.   If Ms. [redacted] has any other questions or concerns, I would encourage her to reach out to me directly. Kathryn D[redacted], Compliance Specialist for Prestige Financial – 801-844-2577 or kd[redacted]@gopfs.com.

In response to consumer complaint, We have reached out to Cindy and have expressed to her that we do not tolerate un-authorized payments. We will further investigate this issue. We will make sure all her checking account information is not used on her account, and we will also get her account...
