Hello
Mrs [redacted] order her product on 1/29/15 she had 14 days from that date to cancel. She did not call in until the 2/12 which was on the 14th day. It states when signing you up that you have 14 days to cancel. Are customer service tried to workout the charge with her but she...
was irate and hung up. We always work with are customers but they have to be willing to work with us.
We
appreciate the opportunity to address this matter, as customer satisfaction is
our top priority. Ms. [redacted] placed an
online order for 14 day trial of our product Pure Life Garcinia Cambogia at https://www.purelifegarciniacambogia.com/
on 3/5/2015. All customers are required to check a box prior to
order submission indicating that they have read, understand and agree to the
Terms and Conditions of the trial offer twice.
The Terms and Conditions state that the
customer will be charged a non-refundable fee of $5.95 plus applicable taxes
for shipping of a 30 day supply of the product.
The customer will then have 14 days to evaluate the product and if they
are not satisfied, can call our customer service and incur no further charges. We will issue a Return Merchandise
Authorization (RMA) number so that the customer may return the unused portion
of the product. The Terms and Conditions also clearly state that this 14 day trial
begins on the day the product is ordered.
If the customer elects not to contact us to obtain an RMA number within
14 days, he or she will be charged $84.47 plus applicable taxes for the
product. The customer will continue to
receive a fresh new 30 day supply until they contact our customer support
department to cancel. The customer service number can be found on the webpage
the customer placed their order on, as well as on their bank or credit card
statement next to the transaction(s).
As we did not receive contact or a
cancellation request within the 14 days as specified in our terms, our system
went ahead and automatically processed $84.47 to Ms. [redacted]’s account. Ms. [redacted]
did contact our customer support department on 3/19/2015 to cancel and was
offered a partial credit to keep the product, which was accepted and a credit
of $21.11 was immediately processed.
We
note that the complaint indicates that Ms.
[redacted] ordered 2
products. As a courtesy, we have
investigated this matter and discovered that she also enrolled in a similar
trial program with our sister company, which billed her $5.95 for the shipping
and handling under similar circumstances to those described above. Ms. [redacted]
was also billed $84.47 on 3/19/2015
for completion of the trial period and purchasing the one-month supply of the product.
When Ms. [redacted] contacted them to cancel her account she also chose to keep the
merchandise for a 25% credit. As a courtesy, we have requested they credit the
remaining amount of $63.36.
In the interest of maintaining customer
goodwill, we have credited the remaining amount of $63.36. Ms. [redacted] should
see 2 this credit within the next 1-5 business days. We sincerely apologize for
any confusion or inconvenience that may have been experienced and hope this
satisfies Ms. [redacted]’s complaint. If there is anything further we can do to
assist in this matter please contact us directly.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. It is clear that the company did not even research my complaint. I was never charged for the subscription, so how would it be refunded to me? Why would I be yelling at the agent about a charge that I hadn't even incurred yet? My complaint is about the so-called "terms" not being listed on the mobile site, trapping people like myself into wasting money on a scheme. It is more than obvious why this company has an "F" rating with the Revdex.com.

Pure Life Garcinia Cambogia. I just got charged $85 for a 30 day supply of this supplement. I signed up to a "FREE TRIAL" Yeah right! There is nothing on this when you sign up for it that if you dont like the product within 14 days from the order date you have to call to cancel and send back the product. Nothing on my receipt either. You have to scroll to the bottom of the actual web page to see their terms and conditions. After going round and round the houses with some robot woman reading a script she finally managed to explain that I am not getting another shipment, but that the $85 charge was for the original order that I didn't call to cancel. So... By all means give it a go.. Just know that if you do not call to cancel before the 14 days from original order placement you will be charged.. And not only that, you then have to send it back anyway.. So its not even free to start with! I feel completely ripped off by their underhanded website that they are clearly trying to trick people with. The product is not worth $85 as well they know. You can get the same thing on Amazon for half the price. I obviously understand that ther terms and conditions are what they are. But I disagree with the way they set up their site to deliberately trick people into thinking they are getting a free trial.

This is a company that advertises a FREE TRIAL offer, pay $4.95 for shipping only, for their product and in the fine print they have made some statement that allows them to bill you $89.92 if you don't cancel within 12 days, according to the Rep I spoke to in August. I called to cancel and was told that if I returned the product unopened, I could cancel but if the TRIAL OFFER product had been opened I couldn't return it. Also, there was apparently a link that when I ordered the trial offer it also ordered another product associated and I was also shipped that product as well. Let me warn anybody right now that after they get your credit or debit card number you are in for continued shipment surprises. Also, after I was successful in cancelling the first product I was not told that the 2nd product was a totally different order and that I needed to cancel it separately, even though the phone number on my bank charge was the same for both. I received another bill and notice of 2nd shipment of a product that I thought I had cancelled. I called the company this morning and was told that even if I refused the shipment at the door or returned it unopened that the company was not obligated to credit the charges to my account. DOES THIS OR DOESN'T THIS appear to be a SCAM at least, if not a fraudulent business practice. DON'T ORDER THIS PRODUCT OR YOU WILL SPEND PLENTY OF MONEY trying to get out from under their grasp.
Review: I received the purchased product with a money back guarantee. Customer service was unhelpful and when finally reached they gave me an address and where to send items. I sent them back for a full refund but still have not received it.
I called and emailed customer service.
$5.95 initial payment and then a charge of $83.47

Review: I was on my f.book account when a pop up appeared, the pop up was of JESSICAS ULTIMATE DIETING SECRET. I clicked on the pop up out of curiosity to see what it was about. I was taken to a page showing a woman in a bathing suit that looked like Jessica Simpson. The page displayed a free trial offer for pure life gardenia at a cost of 5.95 for shipping and handling. I decided to purchase and clicked on purchase now. I then was taken directly to a page for ordering details. I entered my credit card number ,then proceed to check out ,then a little box appeared at bottom of page. In the box it stated last chance to get a free trial of green coffee detox also for 5.95. I decided to also purchase it. I was billed on my credit card on 8-21-2014 5.95 x2= 11.90. THEN ON 9-04-2014 I LOOKED AT MY CREDIT CARD STATEMENT and saw two separate charges on my bill, one for 84.57 charged by PURELIFEGC. ANOTHER FOR PURELIFEGA for87.47. furious I called them and stated in no way did I allow them to charge my credit card for these charges. A woman by the name of Charity G. spoke to me she wouldn't give me a last name, said it was against their privacy policy. I told her in no way did I agree to the charges and I wanted a full refund. Charity said I agreed to terms on their site if I didn't want it I had to send back the sample. I told her there was absoubloutely nothing on that pop up about returning or canceling an order to not be charged full price. I told her your website may state that but not your pop up site and that they are scammers. I also received two more separate bottles in two separate packages a couple days before and wondered why they had sent them. Thats what caused me to look at my credit card bill also, I had assumed the charge was for the two new bottles that I never opened,Charity instructed me to send them back but they would charge me a shipping fee of 6 dollars. Charity stated when they are returned they would refund my money.10/4/2014 charged again on c.card.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund, they are committing false advertisement. they have done the same to my coworker and she also stated there was nothing about sending back trial if not satisfied or canceling in 15 days. and my account was charged 14 days later. my question to the lady I spoke with today was, so your saying I had to send my samples back also if I was not satisfied and wanted to cancel? I said you surely know it would be against the law to send back a bottle that has been opened and touched by others. just the thought of it is disgusting. I paid what the page said ,not what they claim there website states. I also went in my history to see exactly where the website took me . after going back and forth checking in my history God as my witness it just disappeared. I can in no way retrieve it from my history now. my husband just lost his job after 25 years of service so in no way would I agree to pay that amount for basically a bottle of vitamins. please help & thank you.
Review: I ordered some free samples on line from Pure Life (www.healthprogarcinia.com). The web site said to "try risk free", all I had to do was pay shipping. I received the samples and was then on June 23 I saw my bank account was hit for $84.47 and $83.47. I immediately called Pure Life and was told to return the product and I would be reimbursed. I was given two authorization numbers so I held off returning the product, waiting on the second shipment to arrive. When it didn't arrived I called on July 9 and Joseph told me that there was no second shipment, they only billed me for it but to return the product I had and I would receive a refund. I am recovering from brain surgery and cannot drive yet so I have to wait for people to take me places. I returned the product on July 20, Pure Life received it on July 23. After some time had passed and I hadn't received a refund I called Pure Life again and was told I could only get 50% of my money back because I was outside their 30 day return policy. I spoke to a supervisor, Wallace, on July 30 who was to have his manager, Devin, call me. Devin did not return the call so today, August 14, I called and spoke to Peter, Wallace and Devin. Now they are saying I am outside of 60 days and will not refund me any of the money they charged me. In all of my conversations with this company no one told me there was a deadline to return the product, or that I had passed their deadline. Now they say I should have looked on their web site for their return policy. I just did, and I do not see a return policy anywhere.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund from this company.

Review: I emailed the following letter on 11-14-15 and received no response: Dear Pure Life Support,
I am deeply disappointed in your lack of clarity in this process and what I consider a scam. I signed up for a "free trial" of your product and was charged $6.94 on 6/15 for shipping and handling. I was then sent additional shipments without further approval (perhaps I missed the fine print). I then spoke with [redacted] (O51) on 9/8/15 after being charged $84.47 on my charge charge on 7/6, 8/4 and 9/3. She at that time tried to get me to keep the products initially for a 25% discount and then a 50% discount and I was adamant that I did not want the product and would be returning both unopened bottles. She said there was a $14.00 "restocking" fee and I said that was fine, but this whole process was unacceptable. I was given the return address and a RMA# of [redacted] and told that I would be refunded my money minus a $14.00 restocking fee once it was received in your office.
When I again reviewed my credit card statements, I still found no reimbursement, even after shipping the product the same afternoon after talking with [redacted] on 9/8/15 (UPS Tracking # provided). I called and spoke to [redacted] (?sp? 066) on 10-27-15 and he indicated he was interested in providing "excellent customer service", after I had been on hold for at [redacted]st 6 minutes before being able to reach anyone. Prior phone calls to resolve this issue in August were also met with long periods of time on hold and no resolution.
I shared the tracking # and asked why I would not have been reimbursed once the merchandise was returned to them. There were no good answers as to why no action was taken despite having verification of receiving the return merchandise on 9-10-15 at 11:56am, until I again had to call and follow up on 10-27-15. This pattern of charging people without clear consent and failing to reimburse for items returned is unethical. (See remainder of letter belowDesired Settlement: I need to take responsibility and accept having to "eat" the $105.41 ($6.94; 84.47 and $14 restocking fee) as a reminder that I will never again sign up for a free trial/scam, however I believe your organization needs to reimburse me an additional $84.47 for the returned merchandise.
The conversation on 10-27-15 was also very frustrating as I returned two bottle of the product, but was told because I only had one RMA#, I would only be reimbursed for one bottle and my request to be reimbursed for both would be "sent to upper management" but there would be no guarantees. I am fortunate that this money that was charged to my account did not keep me from paying other bills or providing healthy food and shelter for my family, but my concern is your lack of timely process, might have that impact on others.
I expect to hear from someone more promptly than before. Your response hopefully will be to do the right thing and reimburse me for products already received & "restocked" now 8 week
Review: I have returned product in December, promised a refund in two payments one for 69.00 and one for 70.00. Received 70.00 but cannot get the rest. Have called several times and they keep telling me its declined for processing.Desired Settlement: I want my refund and also want other consumers to be wary of this company
Review: This product was advertised on [redacted]. When you go to their website it looks like you are going to be sent the complementary bottle as advertised. As soon as you click "send my sample" you have signed up for a monthly subscription at $84.47. The only was you would know is to go to the very end of the website, in very small print for the "Terms and Conditions" This is a pure and simple scam. I had to search out their company and spend a great deal of time to get this cancelled. Their website should be more transparent.Desired Settlement: I would like to see this company be required to change their website so that it is more transparent to common public that they are getting a free sample, but must call to cancel the subscription.

Review: I ordered a bottle of the Pure Life Garcinia and Pure Life GCB Cleanse that was a free trial. Before I even received the cleanse, they had already charged my credit card for 2 months of product that I haven't received. The phone numbers that they have listed are not valid. One goes to a university instead of the business. This is apparently just a scam to get people's credit card numbers.Desired Settlement: I want my money back and them to stop charging my credit card asap.
