Review: I received an item and it was the wrong one on my part, I ordered the wrong part. Submitted an exchange form on the website after numerous unanswered emails and calls. After I filled out the exchange form that was given through email I filled it out and sent the item back immediately. The company has had my item now for about a month and will not answer my calls or emails or texts. I call, text and email everyday and get no reply. They have my money and item so there is something that does not add up.Desired Settlement: I wish to get my exchange immediately or receive a refund if I cannot get my item. I have waited way to long and been ignored way too much.

Review: I gave this company $850 via [redacted] back in July 2014 for a pair of customs headlights for my chevy Silverado. I received pictures of my finished product in February of 2015 saying I owed another $559.48 via [redacted] and then they would ship everything. A shipping label was created via USPS March 5th 2015 at 3:13pm in National City CA. I called and e-mailed hidguy...[redacted] who is head of product Development is who I had been e-mailing with. March 14th he e-mailed me and told me they had already left and that usps hadn't updated there system yet or it could have been put on the wrong truck. I received a call from USPS on March 27th 2015 after making a claim with them. They left a voicemail saying there is no indication that the package ever made it to them. They told me to contact the seller ([redacted]) and have him/them ship the item again. I have asked many times for proof that my item was picked up by usps from [redacted] and it hasn't been presented.Desired Settlement: I'm requesting a refund because my $1200-$1300 headlights that I ordered in July haven't made it to me. I haven't seen any proof that they have been shipped and I have no way to track them.

Response:

[redacted],we built your lights, gave you a discount to where there is basically nothing being made so 100% for sure we would never refund you for the build. You’ll have to pay what you entered a claim for so we can re-ship the lights for you and I guarantee we will send someone to stand in line so they are scanned when dropped off at the post office. We will need payment and an email back as well confirming you know this money can not and will not be refunded in any way shape or form so that if you go about placing a other claim, we can show that to your bank or credit card company. The lights were already on their way but you’d be surprised how horrible USPS has always been, even we lose money at times for items that get lost and never scanned. We will need card information and then will email you a statement that you will need to send back to us so we can charge your card and get these shipped out.---------------------------------------------------[redacted] (Head of Tech & Product Development)Office: [redacted]Text: [redacted]Email: [redacted]@HIDGuyModShop.comWeb: www.HIDGuyModShop.com

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

The won't send me pictures of my lights or let me have someone pick them up in person. They basically want me to give them my card number so they can run it, then sign a waver if they don't make it to me I can't get my money back or make another claim against them. Which sounds like fraud along with the fake tracking number they sent me. Thanks for the help. They wont give me a refund even though they have my product at the warehouse but wont show it to me.

Review: Ordered products in July 17th 2014 for products that are stated to be "ready to ship in 2-3 weeks".

Upon constant calling for months, I was always told my products would ship this week or next by [redacted].

This went on until November at which point I traded in my 2007 Mustang to a 2014 one. Before having done so, I informed HID GUY and they said that a money-back wouldn't be possible even though I asked for one. Their policies state that money-back is considered under extreme cases. At the point I was trading in my car, it had been over 4 months - I would consider this extreme.

Since they wouldn't give my money back, I swapped the order appropriate for my 2014 car since I had no other recourse.

The order was swapped November 27th for...once again products stating that it would be ready to ship in 2-3 weeks.

Today the date is March 13th 2015. Last week they PROMISED the products would be shipped by last Friday since I made a public posting about it on my forum ([redacted]). This pushed them to act but still didn't push them to give my money back.

Please read the forums, they continued to behave in an unprofessional manner in public and lost a ton of business by doing so. We're talking about a total order of ~$170.

Like I said, their latest promise to ship my products by last week has not been upheld and I've had to take additional action.Desired Settlement: I would like my full money back.

I no longer trust this business nor do I want their products.

Review: In April of 2014 I ordered lights from HIDguy and was told they were on back order. In July of 2014 I traded my car in so I longer needed the lights (which were still on back order) so at that time I contacted the company to cancel my order and request a refund. I have been in contact with the company several times inquiring as to my refund. I have been told repeatedly that they had send me a refund. My last e-mail was in November which I still have not received a response to, so at this point I not sure what else to do expect ask for your help in this matter to get my refund of $66. Thank you for your help.David DilleyDesired Settlement: I would like a check mailed certified mail to insure I receive it. plus I'd like this info posted on the website to help others understand why they should not deal with this company. Thank you.

Review: Basically ordered a product from their website, HIDguy.net a pair of lights of my car. They charged me $15 for the lights and $20 something for delivery in USD. They sent the package through Fedex and gave me a tracking number. It says on my tracking number that my product is supposed to come after 3 days upon the vendor shipped date. A week passed and I still haven't gotten my package so I started calling Fedex to see what happened to my package. They said that the package may have been lost while in transit, and they told me to contact the vendor in order to get the claim. So I contacted the vendor and they said that he's going to talk to his boss about it and file the claim to fedex. Days and weeks passed and I never gotten any news from them. Nothing. So I started contacting them again. They said that his boss already sent the claim and they're just waiting for the Fedex to sent the claim letter. I didn't believed his answer so I called Fedex to get their side of the story. Fedex told me that nobody has contacted them about claiming my package for lost. I'm just upset how the vendor lied to me about themALREADY getting claim from fedex, when from the other party said that nobody contacted yet about getting the claim of my lost package. I don't get any news or update from both parties about how everything is going about my money nor my item. The only thing I would get updates is if I contacted the vendor which they keep saying the same thing - how they're still waiting for the letter that fedex sent about claiming the item. It has been 5 weeks since I ordered the item and now the vendor is telling me that Fedex is investigating the situation and it may take a while for it to finish. I told them that I need a refund because I don't feel that I have the "assurance" from this company.Desired Settlement: I just want to get a full refund from the company and never order from them again.

Review: I ordered a pair of hid headlights from this company called [redacted] and have not received my product. I ordered the set in January of 2015, and I've have paid them in full 930.00! Now all communication has stopped from them, and they are ignoring me! I've given them plenty of time to "make" these headlights, and my patience has run out. I have all my emails, receipts, and website messages from them, but they continue to ignore the fact that I haven't received my headlights. I've talked with Oscar and Dante, but nothing has happened. I feel as if they have token my money and ran with it. Now their phone lines are down, and they aren't responding to anyone from all reviews on the internet. I want my money back, they said 3-4 weeks production time, and it's been well over 9 months. Please help.Desired Settlement: I ultimately want my product I ordered, but I am afraid that my money is gone, they'll make faulty product because I complained, or I'll be waiting for something for another 8 months. I'd rather just take my money back, I have my receipts to price I've paid!

Review: I ordered a set of custom headlights in June of 2014. Each week I would request an update on the status of the ordered item totaling $736 and would get an excuse of why the product was not ready. After a month or two, I noticed the same excuses being used over and over and began digging around online to see if others had similar issues. Turns out this is a pattern with this business. If you aren't a local customer, they stall indefinitely on custom builds and refuse to refund your money when asked. It has been 9 months and I have been ignored, fed lies, and then finally given a fake USPS shipping number. The business then claimed USPS did not scan the item properly which now accounts to fraud.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund. This company is unethical, and shady.

Review: Ordered headlights from this company on August 15th....was told they would be shipped in 2 weeks.....have been calling and emailing the company since September and was told various times the were being custom built and that takes time and would we please be patient.....when November came my Mom called and was talked to horribly and told they would have them to us by Christmas....Well the end of January I starting calling almost everyday wanting my money back or the headlights so they finally gave me a tracking number on the 2nd of February in an email....the tracking number was no good...I do know with my Mom working at the postal service...the carrier picking up the package has to scan it picked up!! My Mom called [redacted] at the company and was talked to once again horrible. They got their money the day it was ordered. I'm tired of the run around and want a refund!!!

Review: Hello. I ordered $432.94 worth of products from the online merchant Rasco Industries, better known as "HID GUY", on October 22nd, 2014. These products were specifically stated to be "ready to ship in 2 to 3 weeks". It has been nearly 6 months now and I have not received my products. I have tried messaging the company through email and through their in-site messaging platform and I have been given excuses after excuses as to why my products have not shipped out yet. Many times, I don't even get a reply at all, and as of now, you can even call HID GUY directly as you are rerouted to voicemail or asked to leave a message on their website, which they do not reply to in a timely manner. I have doubts that my product have been worked on at all, as there have been many other fraud complaints against this company. Their policy states that you could be refunded under extreme cases, and I would consider almost 6 months of waiting for products that were supposed to be shipped out in 3 weeks after paying $400+ dollars to be extreme.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund in the amount of $432.94 from this fraudulent company.

Review: I placed original order on February 4, 2015. Upon finding out later that one of the items was not in stock and would take 2-3 weeks, I canceled that item and began asking for a refund of $140.00. While waiting for this refund, I received the other items and noticed that one of the items had a defect in it. I returned it for exchange, at which point I was told 1-2 weeks for its replacement. After those 2 weeks passed, I was told it would be another 2-3 weeks for delivery. I decided to cancel that item as well and asked for that refund of $110.00.I have been told on numerous occasions that my total refund of $250.00 would be sent via USPS Priority on the 20th of March. To date, I have not received any refund. I have emailed, called and even had my attorney call and leave email but no replies have been received. I was told that they could not refund my money back to credit card because they "switched" merchant services and would have to mail a check. It has now been over one month since I was promised my refund of $250.00 on order # 6527. I cannot reach them by phone (no one answers, voicemail only) and for the past 3 weeks, no one has replied to my emails or my attorneys requests.Desired Settlement: I want my full refund of $250.00.

Review: I purchased a set of projector headlights for my 2004 mustang Cobra I was billed for them and have never received the product I paid for I have been waiting 6 plus months have sent multiple emails with no response I would really like to get my money back and no longer wish to do business with this company.Desired Settlement: I would just like my money back that I paid.

Review: Order was Placed on July 3 2015 for a Custom Set of Headlights for a 2003 Mustang at a cost of $960.28. Its been over a Month with no Product or answer just excuses.Desired Settlement: A full refund for $960.28

Review: orderd a 5202 hid fog light conversion kit from hid guy on 08/16/15 and was sent a receipt for the order and for shipping charges the same day it has now been 1 month and 3 days after the order has been placed and I have not herd anything about my order my credit card was billed the day the order was taken I have sent multiple emails every day for a update tried calling the phone number and it no longer accepts incoming calls no one has contacted me back this is no way to run a buisness I am still waiting for a call or email letting me know the status of this order.Desired Settlement: call me and let me know the status of this order, call me and let me know when this will be delievered,or refund my credit card

Review: I ordered two items from http://www.hidguy.net on 9/20/2014. After not receiving an email after about 7 business days that the order has not shipped I called to see what the issue was. One of the items was out of stock and the order would not ship till it was restocked. I cancelled the item that was out of stock so they could just send me the item that was in stock. I received that item in a timely manner, no complaints. I then waited until mid November of 2014 to recieve my refund on the one item, but nothing had happened. I emailed them on 11/13/14 and asked what the status of the refund was. They replied saying they will forward the message to their manager. I waited for another 2 weeks and did not hear anything. I sent yet another email requesting the status of the refund on 11/26/2014 and they replied with the same thing. Finally later that day on November 26 the status changed to "refunded." Since then I have emailed them twice requesting the refund status. Once on 12/29/2014 and again on 1/9/2015. I have recieved replies that they will look into the problem, but I have not gotten any answers. I have went over their return policies many times and there is no reason this problem should not have been resolved yet. I have all the emails as proof that were exchanged between me and the business.Desired Settlement: I expect a full refund without being penalized for a restocking fee because the item never left the shelf. I have been very patient, but have not been taken care of by this company.

Review: I purchased a set of lights from this shop on March 3 of this year, and still have not received the goods or a refund. When it was disputed through the credit card, they said too much time had passed. Repeated calls to this company have fallen on deaf ears.Desired Settlement: I would certainly like to get something for 815 dollars! They still have not sent the headlights which were ordered. Every time I try to contact them, they give the run around.

Review: I ordered parts for my vehicle that I did not need after all. I met their return policy in which the items must have been returned within 10 business days in order to recieve a refund. The items were returned the beginning of January 2015. I have contacted them through e mail, phone, text message and their internal portal. When [redacted] finally answered a phone calls, he stated that the parts are going through the return process and I should be getting my refund soon. That was on May 5th 2015. It is now August 28th 2015 and I have still not recieved my refund and they are still in possession of the parts that were returned. The return policy states that the refund should be recieved by the customer in about 4 weeks from when the parts are shipped back. The last time we had contact which was July 2nd 2015 [redacted] had stated that they were still going through the return process and I should be seeing a refund in the form of a check in the mail. It has been nearly 2 months since the last time they communicated with me after I have tried multiple times to communicate them. It has been more than half of a year of me struggling to try to get my refund back when their return policy clearly states on their website "You should expect to receive your Refund / Warranty / Exchange within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a resolution much quicker. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your claim once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request or items to arrive back to you (5 to 10 business days)."Desired Settlement: I would like a complete refund without any restocking charges that they state they will be subtracting off of my refund due to the length in time it has taken to process my refund.

Review: I purchased a set of HID lights (Bulbs and Ballasts) approximately 6 years ago. Recently I noticed that one of the lights was dimmer than the other once and I contacted HMS about getting a replacement since this set had a lifetime warranty on them. After several days of trying to contact them I was finally able to get ahold of someone. I explained my situation to them and they told me that since the bulb was still working that it did not fall under their warranty program. I stated that it was not working correctly because one was duller than the other one and they continued to state that because the bulb was working they would not warranty the item. They said that if the bulb completely went out they would then warranty the bulb. They also couldn't find me in the system and since this was so long ago I do not have a receipt for the purchase but the bulbs and ballast set say HIDGUY.net printed on them.Desired Settlement: I would like to have the bulb replaced with one that works properly on my vehicle. I have had my truck (03 GMC Yukon XL)for 10 years and the lights for 6 and I liked the product when it worked correctly. Even though the bulb works it is not working correctly. I view this the same as purchasing a new TV. If after a few months the picture becomes distorted and looses color, if it is still under warranty the TV should be fixed, even though it still has a picture it is not working correctly.

Review: I ordered a Halo LED lighting kid for my car, which includes 2 LED rings, an infared controller, and 2 drivers to power the lights. One of the drivers that I recieved was defective, so I contacted [redacted] @ HMS and he quickly responded and told me to send it back in, and they would send me a replacement the next day. I send the part back the next day, and a week passes without any email from [redacted], and the replacement part still has not come in. I emailed [redacted] asking where my product was, and he did not respond for a week until only telling me "The product is out of stock, I'll let you know when its back in stock". I asked him for an estimated time, and I never got a response as of today. Over a month passed, and I still do not have my replacement item, plus still no word from HIDGuyModShop even after repeated attempts at contacting them with different methods (Phone,Email,Website messaging)Desired Settlement: I filed a dispute with my credit card company today and supplied them with all of the necessary email conversations as well as website messages.

Review: I purchased an HID foglight kit for my mustang, back in August 2013, from this business that goes by the name of HIID GUY. They have a lifetime warranty on their HID kits and agree to replace any faulty aspect of their HID kits for automobiles.

In November 2013 I contacted this HID GUY vendor to make them aware of the repeated problems I was having with one foglight not operating with consistency. Due tot he repeated issues I was having with their product and the need to repeatedly jack up my vehicle to make adjustments to their lighting product, I requested that I be allowed to exchange this HID kit for a set of their LED foglight bulbs. I originally paid $120 for this HID foglight kit and I was willing to exchange this for an LED kit priced at about $55 and only having a 90 day warranty. I told the vendor that due to the frequent snow and cold weather, that I would not be able to get him the product right away to complete this exchange. He indicated that it would not be an issue and he agreed to the exchange.

I sent the HID foglight kit back to this HID GUY vendor at the end of March 2013. 4 weeks passed since the item arrived back to them. I spoke on multiple occasions with an employee named [redacted] who repeatedly gave me the 'run around' and avoided completing the exchange. In May 2013 I was finally able to get a hold of the owner who is named [redacted]. My contact was through email and he indicated that he would not be completing the exchange, despite agreeing to do so months in advance.

Making matters worse, this merchant has kept the original HID foglight kit which I have sent and has ignored my emails and he has not returned any telephone messages that I have left.

So not only did I not receive the LED foglight bulbs that I was promised, but he has the original lighting product I was having issues with and he has pretended I don't exist and they have not honored the warranty on this item.

These people, or this [redacted] character, who runs this business is a CROOK. And he's taking advantage of the act that I am over 1000 miles away from him. I am asking for your help in getting this scoundrel to provide me the LED bulb kit he agreed to give me as an exchange.Desired Settlement: I would like the LED foglight bulbs that he promised me as an exchange for the HID foglight kit that I sent to him.

Review: I bought a pair of HID lights for my vehicle on January 25th 2012. which I paid $50 for the lights and $40 for intallation adding up to $94.38 tax included. Now on august 2013 those lights started to malfunction so I call the company up to ask them if I could get my lights replaced since they come with a lifetime warranty. I was told by the person whom I spoke with that they would not change the lights until they no longer work I asked the person, that why would this be if the product is not working property? He responded that that is the policy and there's nothing else that can be done about it.

so I told him that my commute starts at 2 a.m. In the morning and that I cannot afford to drive without lights in my vehicle, he responded that the only thing he suggested what to buy another set of lights or that I could check the lights myself and figure out what the problem is, then I told him that I felt that I did not have to do that since I paid and labor charge for the installation of the lights, he told that they no longer offer that service and I also told them that I do not want to mess with the lights whatsoever to avoid any problems with the warranty. He then replied that those were my only two options.Desired Settlement: Replace the lights and refund $40 of labor charges. Since they will not back up a service that is not offered.
